Tomorrow May Become Yesterday / Living a ‘High Definition Life’ / Friday: Main Event

Slow
to learn are
we.
Impatient
to be perfect,
which cannot
be.

                      Thank the Lord.

As our lives
spill into each other,
the gravity
of our Being
can fail to keep us
close to one another.
And we never really know,
after the dark
of such night,
comes the Day,
after rest,
Hearts awake
looking to take
flight,
in the warm Sunlight
of Love.

I Pray
that every Child,
grown and otherwise,
will pause
for a moment of awareness,
a tiny trace in time,
to thank the Lord,
for everyone and everything,
and come to realize,
we are truly Blessed,
but not for what we seek,
not for what we savor
or see,
but for what you and I
can discover
deeply embedded in the
very Human
Heart
of you and me:

LOVE.

God
Loves us
more Dearly than
His Written Word
can tell.
And YOU
Love your Child
equally well.

                              We are truly Blessed.

I Pray
we will have the
courage
to say on this
and every day,
what mere words
cannot really convey –
the simple words
that FOREVER stay
deeply embedded
in the Human Heart:

“I Love You.”

These three words
open many doors.
Be sure
one of them is
YOURS.

We are Blessed
in a
strange way,
not knowing
what lay
ahead of us.
The confidence
of ignorance
gives courage
to cause.

As young children
we are unblemished
by the wildfires
of hate and bigotry and bias.
The landscape
of our tender young Hearts
is pristine
and pure, positive
potential.

But few
stay that way.

Pristine and pure, positive potential.

My Dear Friends,
we
are all newly wed
to our dreams
each night,
and divorced
of our visions
by mid day.
Au contraire,
they are but illusions
to someone
else.

Spend your Life
directing
your own
play.
Star in it
as yourself.
Don’t play
someone else
in Life.

The gravity of our Being.

Discover
a World of Wonder –
Your World.
Your vision
of this World
can only come
through
your eyes.
Every child alive
looks
through the eyes
of someone,
most often
a deeply Loved
Mother
and Father.
They see
the World around
YOU.
They see the World
you create.
And if what they
see
is not Love,
but hate,
not Hope
or Compassion,
then depression
and regret
will lead the
way.

And tomorrow
may become
yesterday.

Goodnight.

Luis Palau: Living a ‘High Definition Life’

Luis Palau
says there are “good” areas of life
but God has something even more excellent
than what the world has to offer.

Pleasure or happiness: “Pleasure delights only so long as it lasts; it’s great but fleeting,” says Luis. “Pleasure feels good, but joy feels better.” Joy erupts from the inside.

Popularity or connectedness: Everyone wants to be liked, but Luis reminds us that we can’t mistake popularity for friendship. “Friendship may be harder to cultivate than mere popularity, but it pays far greater dividends,”.

Acceptance or forgiveness: Most of us admit to feelings of unworthiness, but Luis reminds us that God wants to set us free. “Too often we settle for a substitute that doesn’t go quite far enough,” says Luis. “We settle for acceptance but what we need is forgiveness.”

Relief or peace: Luis says a great temptation for many evangelists (like himself) is that they want to be the one who leads more people into the kingdom of God or the one who writes more books, etc. One day Luis, who was struggling with a lack of peace, heard a chapel message in Bible college about Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live. Yet it’s not I, it’s Christ living in me.” He ran to his room and fell on his knees for two hours. “I was 25 and felt as though I had just been converted again.”

Achievement or success: Luis reminds us that in order to enjoy success at the highest level, we need an eternal purpose. Luis tells about Fiona Hendley, a famous, successful BBC actress who was living with Paul Jones, the lead singer for the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann. One day, pop singer Cliff Richard invited both of them to hear Luis speak at a festival. They both responded to the invitation to accept Jesus. Paul moved out, they married and are still happily married after 14 years. “True success demands something from you,”.

Excitement or adventure: Excitement causes our bodies to produce endorphins, which play a huge role in producing feelings of pleasure. Because we crave intense feelings, increasing numbers of us pursue the thrill provided by “extreme sports.” We are naturally drawn to whatever kindles our built-in desire for adventure. “The Christian life is the greatest adventure,” says Luis. Real adventure touches the soul.

Invulnerability or safety: Luis says he almost settled for a career in international banking until his mother encouraged him to take a risk. He was working as a teller at a branch in Argentina. The bank was cheating in their money exchanges. Luis says he knew it was wrong but couldn’t quit his job since he was supporting his mom after his father died. Soon he resigned and took a job with an evangelistic magazine for less pay.“My family went through tough financial times, but I would have missed out on the privilege of leading souls to heaven,” says Luis.

Activity or significance. While all of us need to know that we matter, many of us settle for a flurry of “busyness.” We crave purpose and destiny but we settle for mere productivity. God offers us life, purpose, meaning, significance, but many of us turn down these astonishing possibilities. Luis reminds us to remember our fabulous destiny in God.

Positive thinking or hope: Many of us substitute positive thinking for genuine hope. Positive thinking puts us in the right frame of mind, but it can’t do much about the problems themselves. Hope takes a stand on the unchanging character of God. Positive thinking depends on us, while hope depends on God.

God promises us His best,
but He doesn’t always make our circumstances
turn out the way we think we would like them.
Instead God promises to be with us completely
in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.

Walking Your Uneasy Mind / Cancer Dangers of Exposure to Light at Night / ATEX Trash Service

Why would you want for more?

If the skies above
ever
echo darkly,
while walking your uneasy mind
toward the Sun
that shines at times,
be aware,
your feet know
where they want you
to go.

The Light of the Sun
is headed your way
and very, very fast,
just over the Horizon
of a new Today
and so many days
past,
but not as fast
as the Love
of your Father
in Heaven Above.
He
is already here.

“Do you not know
that YOU
are a Temple of God

and that the Spirit of God dwells
in you?”
1 Corinthians 3:16

                                          Echo darkly

With your Love of Life
on fire,
you will never, ever
tire
of the things God
has in Mind
for you to do.
Yes.
The future comes
running.
Just close you eyes
and soon you will be
there.
.
For there will never cease to be
poor in the land.
Therefore I command you,
‘You shall open wide your hand
to your brother, to the needy and to the poor,
in your land.’ “

Deuteronomy 15:11

The pathway forward,
down a road
to ever last,
is never slow,
never fast.

It stops,
while you help
another,
to be better off
than you are.

You move forward
through the precious Life
of someone
other
than you.

“But if anyone has the world’s goods
and sees his brother in need,
yet closes his Heart against him,
how does God’s Love
abide in him?

– 1 John 3:17

If everywhere you went,
you have been there
before,
then its time
to say
goodnight,
and close your eyes
and open your Heart,
to the Dawn’s new
Light,
to act in a new part,
never written
before.

YOU
have ALL the riches
a man or woman can claim,
but you
have not claimed them.
If
you have enough to share,
enough to show
you truly care,
answered in Prayer,
why would you want
for more?

Jesus
spoke more about giving
than He did Heaven or hell
combined.

“And as for fortune and as for fame,
I never invited them in,
though it seemed to the world
they were all I desired.
They are illusions
they are not the solutions
they promised to be.
The answer
was here all the time,

I Love you
and hope you
Love me
.”
Tim Rice

Beg
borrow or steal
your share of Love,
Life and Laughter.
For you cannot
take,
what God has bequeathed
in His desire for you,
what you already own.

“He will yet fill your mouth
with LAUGHTER

and your lips
with shouts of JOY.”

Job 8:21

You cannot take what you already own.

Dangers of Exposure
to Light at Night

Sleeping while exposed to light at night
causes a dramatic drop in blood melatonin levels,
setting the stage for growth and proliferation
of breast cancer cells.
The increased breast cancer risk
in female night shift workers
has been postulated to result from
the suppression of pineal melatonin production by
exposure to LIGHT at night.

Tumor growth response to exposure to light
during darkness
is intensity dependent and the Human nocturnal,
circadian melatonin signal
inhibits human breast cancer growth.
This effect is extinguished
by short-term ocular exposure to bright,
white light at night.

An interesting study in Cancer Research
(read more)
provides new information that
might partly explain why this is.

This study provides evidence
that may partly explain why breast cancer
is five times more common (500 %)
in industrialized nations
compared to less developed countries.
It may also explain why visually challenged people
have lower rates of cancer than people
who have no problems with vision.

So my Dear Friends,
don’t be in the dark
about this.
Well, actually,
you do need to be
in the DARK!

You know what I mean.

Let us prevent
needless suffering.
There are so many things
YOU can do,
and to live in deep regret,
need not be one of them.
Spend a few moments
in thoughtful research and study.
And then do
the common sense things.

Goodnight.

Why would you want for more?

“NO
truth is ever a lie.
Life

is a moment
in space.
In Love
there is NO
measure of time.”
Barry Gibb, Robin Hugh Gibb

Eternal in its Treasure / Plants to Purify the Air at Home

“There are children in the morning.
They are leaning out for Love
And they will lean that way
Forever.”

– Neil Diamond

Have you seen
the fabulous Moon
dancing
upon the darkly lit waters
that ripple in time,
much like
the beat of your Heart
undulating on the surface of Life,
as it turns
page after page?

To watch in awe and wonder,
is to say
YES
to Life,
and suddenly
leave behind
the things
that kept your Heart
blind.

Precious Existence is before your eyes.

Harmonic dreams
emanate from many things,
as Life
becomes visible.
Life,
my Friends,
is waiting for your Dreams
to seep into
your veins,
until you suddenly realize
your precious Existence,
the magnificence of your splendor,
is suspended
before your eyes.

To watch in awe and wonder.

To be rescued
from yourself,
freed from within,
look carefully
at the Wonders
that surround you,
rid yourself
of sorrow and doubt,
say a Prayer
to God Above
and silently
shout,
Amen!

What is to be lived for.

To truly come
alive,
let some things
die,
like anger and regret.
They deserve
an ignominious death.

The shadow
of your smile
will shelter you
from the raging storms
of so much sorrow,
when yesterday
becomes tomorrow.
What is to be lived for
is not the illusion
of Life,
but the
Reality of Love.

“You cannot do a kindness
too soon,

for you never know
how soon it will be
too late.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Each joyful moment
captured by your Heart
is Eternal in its Treasure.
The brush strokes
of your words and deeds
can become
Heartfelt colors,
expressions of timeless Beauty,
tints and shades
of Loving awareness,
to spread the Universal
Love of God in
YOU.

                Eternal in its Treasure.

“Had I the Heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my Dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly
because you tread on my Dreams’.”
– W. B. Yeats

You are
My Dear Friend,
like so many other
Living Things,
a very fragile and precious
Gift from God.

Celebrate in gratitude
for all
the Blessings in Life.
As you see the unfolding Light,
you feel the Loving rhythm
of the Universe
creating ripples in the Human Heart
greater than
an ocean wave.
Let the Love of God
wash over
YOU.

                          Say YES to Life.

Hours further
can become lost in time,
no longer yours
or mine.

The Beautiful Song of your Life
can be sung
to never fail
to make you smile
and laugh and cry.
And the words
you carve
into the fabric of space,
can breathe Life
into everyone
and become your
Epitaph.
.
Goodnight.

requires you to know who you really are,
what you really want,
and in which direction you are headed.”

Plants that can purify the air in your home

By Chaffin Mitchell, AccuWeather staff writer

Harmful pollutants, which are not confined to outdoor spaces, can be found in homes and offices. However, plants can help to improve indoor air quality and clean the air that you and your family breathe.

As reported in a clean air study by NASA, plants can play a major role in removal of organic chemicals from indoor air.

Plants absorb particles from the air at the same time that they take in carbon dioxide, which is then processed into oxygen through photosynthesis.

Stephanie Huckestein, instructor of indoor plants at the Hahn Horticulture Garden of Virginia Tech, said plants remove pollutants from the air by absorbing gases through the pores on their leaves.

Many of the plants proven to clean the air
can be grown indoors, even with limited sunshine.
Huckestien said all plants need light to photosynthesize,
but many are tolerant of lower light levels.
Photosynthesis is the process through which plants
use sunlight to turn carbon dioxide and water
into food.

Finding Meaning In Existence / Eclipse of the Sun Aug. 21 / Go 12 Hours Without Eating

“Your bodies are Temples of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you,
whom you have received from God?
You are not your own.
– 1 Corinthians 6:19

MORE REAL than material objects.

There is something
much more to Life,

than Life.

Now,
put your thinking caps on
and let’s go
for a walk.
Leave the Dog
at home.
He already instinctively
understands.

The existence of a Cosmic Consciousness
is put forward by Philosophers, Physicists and Theologians
based on the premises of non-materialistic explanations
of the mind,
asserting that consciousness is actually the

“Ground of ALL Being”.

In Quantum Mechanics,
the Grand Unified Field Theory
suggests that Reality
consists of eleven dimensions.
What are the Philosophical implications
of a Multidimensional Universe?
String theory now suggests
that the most basic substance
from which everything else is derived
is CONSCIOUSNESS!
This is a paradigm shift
in understanding the nature
of Ultimate Reality.
“If the Universe is a hologram,
in some sense it suggests
that there may be TWO
very drastically different levels of reality:

the concrete reality that we see when we look at [things],
and at some DEEP level
there’s a level of reality where everything dissolves
into an ocean of energy
that is holographically interconnected.

Consciousness generates a field effect,
similar to an electromagnetic field.
Like a magnet attracting a metal object
without having to touch the object,
consciousness is capable of interacting
with things at a distance. “

Spend some time,
My Friend,
getting to know
what we can never
truly understand.

Life is a mystery.
Everyone must stand alone.
I hear you call my name,
And it feels like home.

Just like a prayer,
your voice can take me there.

Just like a muse to me,
YOU
are a mystery

Just like a dream,
you are not what you seem.”
– Madonna Ciccone, Patrick Leonard

ANDREI LINDE,
a Russian-American theoretical physicist,
professor of Physics at Stanford University,
and the father of “Eternal Chaotic Inflation”,
and one of the main authors of the Inflationary Universe Theory,
as well as the theory of the inflationary multiverse.

He considered that consciousness,
like space-time,

might have its own intrinsic degrees of Freedom,
and that one’s perceptions may be as real,
or even “MORE” REAL
than material objects.

Quantum Theory
is now used to explain certain properties
of the mind.
New hypotheses of consciousness and space-time
explain consciousness by describing
a “space of conscious elements“,
often encompassing a number of extra dimensions.
These are dimensions
we are just now becoming aware of.
But Poets
and writers of Song
have long been aware
that there is more to Life,
than Life.
.
“Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there;
I did not die.”
– Mary Elizabeth Frye
Mary never copyrighted the poem. Her explanation:
“I thought it belonged to the world; it didn’t belong to me.
It was written out of Love
.”
Emanating from a burst of compassion
and deep insight into the
Nature of Ultimate Reality,

it has endured and became famous.

Allow me to recommend:
Paul T. P. Wong, a Canadian clinical psychologist and professor.
His research career has made significant contributions in learning theory, social cognition, existential psychology, and positive psychology. He is most known for his integrative work on death acceptance, meaning therapy, and second wave positive psychology.

Wong’s career straddles psychology and Christian ministry. He first served as the Founding Pastor of the Chinese Gospel Church in Toronto and started the Peterborough Chinese Christian Fellowship while teaching at Trent University. He was involved in resettling the boat people and started the graduate program in counseling psychology at Trinity Western University.

Wong’s integration of existential & positive psychology resulted in Existential Positive Psychology, which recognizes the existential concerns of human existence.
This was broadened and based on the foundation of
the co-existence of opposites
as essential for human development.

Wong has given positive psychology away through his
Meaningful Living MeetUp group.
Participants learn basic principles of meaning
and new ways of relating to each other.
This outreach program was intended
to improve mental health.

“When you’ve experienced everything
that this culture offers,
you will see how
empty it is,”

Pastor Greg Laurie
author of: Steve McQueen: The Salvation of an American Icon

Wong’s emphasis is on the importance
of cross-cultural perspectives
in stress and coping and positive psychology.

His research on death acceptance
and the meaning of Life
impacted Taiwan’s Life and Death Education.
He was awarded the 12th Global Love of Life Medal,
the Lifetime Achievement Award in Life Education,
and the Rising Great Compassion Award.

  Viktor Frankl

Wong developed a pluralistic and integrative meaning therapy. And it was based on Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy, an existential analysis focusing on Kierkegaard’s
will to meaning.

Logotherapy was founded upon the belief that it is the striving to find a meaning in one’s life that is the primary, most powerful motivating and driving force in Humans.

A short introduction to this system is given in Frankl’s most famous book, Man’s Search for Meaning,
in which he outlines how his theories
helped him to survive the Holocaust
and how that experience further developed
and reinforced his theories.
There are Logotherapy Institutes around the world.

Logotherapy is a form of existential analysis.
Man’s Search for Meaning
was published under a different title in 1959:
Nevertheless, Say “Yes” to Life:
A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp.

It chronicles his experiences as a concentration camp inmate,
which led him to discover the importance
of finding meaning in all forms of existence,
even the most brutal ones,
and thus, a reason to continue living.

– Simon & Garfunkel

“Let me go where’er I will
I hear a sky-born music still:
It sounds from all things old,
It sounds from all things young,
From all that’s fair, from all that’s foul,
Peals out a cheerful song.

Emerson

It is not only in the Rose,
It is not only in the bird,
Not only where the rainbow glows.
Nor in the song of woman heard,
But in the darkest meanest things
There always, always something sings.

’Tis not in the high stars alone,
Nor in the cup of budding flowers,
Nor in the red-breast’s mellow tone,
Nor in the bow that smiles in showers,
But in the mud and scum of things
                                     There always, always
                                      something sings.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

On August 21, 2017, millions of people across the United States
will see nature’s most wondrous spectacle
— a total eclipse of the Sun.
It is a scene of unimaginable beauty;
the Moon completely blocks the Sun,
daytime becomes a deep twilight,
and the Sun’s corona shimmers
in the darkened sky.

Going at least 12 hours without eating

The Potter’s Wheel / Seven Ways to Experience More Joy / Thank You: Stage West Theater

“O LORD,
Thou art our Father;

we are the clay,
and thou our Potter;
and we all are the work
of Thy Hand.”
Isaiah 64:8

Round like a circle
ever spinning.
Infinite Love
Created you
and me.
When Sunlight never was,
and darkness
was ever to be,
the Light of God’s Love
penetrated all,
and from
the Potter’s Wheel
was Lovingly crafted

the beautiful Dream
we are.

Our footprints
found their way
into the sand.
And rings
found a Rainbow
to fall upon.

Like tide born
ripples,
spread upon the shores
of time,
we question
over and over again,

the moment of our
birth.

To whom
do we belong?

And the Autumn Leaves
of Life,
drifting past
so very many days that were,

make us suddenly
aware:
there is more
to Life
than can be seen,
more
to Love
than in a
Dream.
And the lessons
learned
found in-between:
include Forgiveness
God implores.
For now
quickly becomes nevermore
the moment
to explore.

There is more to Life than can be seen.

And in this now,
our Friends in science say,
The Divine Book was right,
we are made
of Clay.

of this moment in time,
until it becomes
the treasure
of a memory.

And then,
God calls your

He wants
to take you there.
To where
there is no end,
and the deep
Mystery of Love
is kept
by perpetual Prayer.

He
hears your voice,
feels you falling
through the breeze,

like the Leaves
of Autumn trees,
into His arms,
a Harvest of

The Promise
of God,
is to Love you
and never
let you go.

And in times
of doubt,
when you feel
you do not
know,
the Prayer
you secretly hold in your
Heart,
will show you
the way.
For your Father
truly longs to hear
you say:
I Love you.
I need you.
In my Heart,
I want you
to stay,

                 We have been Blessed.

My Friend,
during all this
Time,
you knew the
Way.
And the Path
is Beautiful,
and straight
and near.
It points directly
to your
Heart.

From this
Moment,
Life
can begin.
From this
Moment,
you
have been Blessed.
But this Moment
is all
that is left,
to Live
and Love

take flight,

of this Moment.

James Baraz and Shoshana Alexander share their principles for building more joy into your daily experience.

Editor’s note: “Joy is not for just the lucky few,” says James Baraz, a longtime meditation teacher and cofounder of the renowned Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, Calif. “It’s a choice anyone can make.” Each year since 2003, Baraz has taught a 10-month course, both online and at the center, called “Awakening Joy.” Its goal: to help participants increase their daily quotient of positive feelings.

The material is based on universal, nondenominational principles that draw on both Buddhist philosophy and on contemporary neuroscientific studies that show we can deliberately incline our minds toward greater happiness. The seven suggestions that follow will give you a glimpse of his joyful prescription and help you understand how to put it to work in your own life.

1. Imagine Happiness
Any activity, when performed repetitively, changes the structure of the brain. But even repeatedly imagining an activity has an impact on neural structure. Researchers at Harvard Medical School demonstrated this with an experiment where they asked one group to play a five-finger exercise on the piano over the course of a week. A comparison group was asked to merely imagine moving their fingers to play the same exercise. Though actively playing the exercise had a greater impact on brain structure than imagining it, by the end of the week, the same region of the brain in both groups had been significantly affected.

Each day, deliberately imagine yourself happy. Picture yourself in a situation with people you really like, or engaged in an activity that gives you a lot of pleasure. By actively imagining feelings of happiness or recalling happy experiences, you can help to encourage changes in your brain that will predispose you to creating more real-life joy in your daily experiences.

2. Memorize Happiness in Your Body
Even though the brain is strongly inclined to notice and retain negative experiences over positive ones (that’s our protective survival instinct at work), you can help level the playing field by strengthening your neurological happiness circuits. Whenever you’re experiencing a moment of joy or contentment — walking, listening to music, being kind, feeling grateful — don’t miss it! Pause to notice the feelings in your body and the state of your mind. Do you feel warmth in your chest? Does your mind feel light and open?

Now consciously intensify that sensation. Some psychologists call this “memorizing” the feeling. Either way, you are causing the same neural circuits to fire repeatedly, thereby strengthening them. Psychologist Rick Hanson calls this “taking in the good.”

“As with any positive state of mind,” Hanson says, “if you can develop a strong ‘sense memory’ of the experience, you can reactivate it deliberately when you want to.”

3. Reframe Your Fate Positively
Countless studies have shown the effects of gratitude exercises on positive outlook. One study conducted by positive psychologist Martin Seligman asked participants who considered themselves severely depressed to write down three good things that happened to them each day for 15 days. Ninety-four percent of subjects reported a decrease in depression, while 92 percent said their happiness had increased.

Because experiencing and expressing appreciation has such a demonstrable effect, we highly recommend course participants keep a daily list of things they’re grateful for.

Here’s another exercise that can incline the mind to gratitude even during unpleasant moments: Choose a task or situation in your life that feels like an obligatory burden. Try changing your “I have to” story to an “I get to” story, and see if you arrive at a different perspective. “Now I get to take out the garbage” could create an opportunity to feel grateful for your working legs, or your trash pickup service — instead of just feeling annoyed.

4. Strategically Diffuse Worry
Worry and rumination are chronic joy-killers, but they’re easy habits of mind for many. This excerpt of a March 2000 conversation between the Dalai Lama and a group of neuroscientists and scholars suggests a useful technique for heading off anxious episodes. The speaker is Matthieu Ricard, PhD, a geneticist and Buddhist monk:

“The basic way to intervene [when a troubling thought arises is to use a technique] called ‘staring back.’ When a thought arises, [instead of reacting] we need to watch it and look back at its source. . . . As we stare at it, its apparent solidity begins to melt away, and that thought will vanish without giving birth to a chain of thoughts. The point is not to try and block the arising of thoughts — this is not possible anyway — but not to let them invade our mind. We need to do this again and again because we are not used to dealing with thoughts in this way. . . . Finally a time will come when thoughts come and go like a bird passing through the sky, without leaving a trace.”

5. Experience the Bliss of Blamelessness
When we’re stuck in resentment, self-condemnation or guilt, our capacity for joy is severely limited. Everyone makes mistakes, so it’s important that we learn how to let go of blame — for others and for ourselves.

Resentment consumes energy, even when we’re entitled to it. If you’re trying to let go of blame toward someone else, try becoming curious about a hurtful experience, instead of taking it personally. Taking a more impersonal view of disappointments can reveal their hidden gifts.

When you’re trying to break the habit of self-recriminating thought, focus instead on how you want to feel. Rather than dwelling on a mistake, recall the pleasant feeling you have when you choose wisely or accomplish something successfully, and let that feeling be your guide.

It can take several months for neural circuits to consolidate fully in support of new habits of mind, so be vigilant. You are wiring your brain to fully experience happiness instead of just relief at avoiding error.

6. Let Go of Feeling Busy
One of the primary obstacles to joy is the feeling of being too busy. Even if we can’t pare down our schedules, it doesn’t mean we can’t feel happiness, peace or even joy in the midst of our busyness.

During intensely scheduled periods, try giving yourself “mini-breaks.” Take a brief moment between tasks and obligations to pause, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and feel what it’s like to be “outside of time.”

Even if you’ve just dashed down the hall at work from one meeting to another, stop for a few seconds before you open that next door. Close your eyes, let your body relax, take a breath, and come back to yourself. You may find yourself feeling substantially less harried and more capable of dealing calmly and consciously with whatever unfolds next.

7. Seek the Good in Others
There are a lot of reasons to feel joy observing other people — if we’re looking for the best in them. Seeing the goodness in someone else brings something real, alive and uplifting out of him or her. It allows trust to develop between people who scarcely know each other. And it allows you to truly enjoy your interactions with others without getting hung up on what you don’t like.

Try this: For one week, take on the practice of looking for the good in everyone you come in contact with. See in each person the desire to be safe, accepted, happy and loved. Even if you know someone’s shortcomings, keep looking for the positive qualities — creativity, humor, a caring heart, intelligence — any and all positive qualities you might admire. Notice what effect this has on how you feel toward others and on your interactions with them. Notice the effect it has on your state of mind. And enjoy it.

When
Can my Heart
Come Home?

When
Does my Sacred Journey
Begin?

My,
How we suffer
On this Earth,
So unknowing, unaware
That all the pain
May simply disappear,
That we may be healed,
Clothed in Forgiveness,
Gifted of recreation,
Made new,
Like the morning Sun,
Baptized
And refreshed,
Like beautiful Flowers
Opening their blossoms,
Anointed with the morning dew,
Made ready
For another new day
In which to dance
With the wind
And play.

From our friends at
NaturalNews.com:
Science proves
these seven herbs provide powerful protection
against liver cancer and liver damage:

More than 10 percent of the world’s population
currently suffers from some form of liver disease,
whether it be fibrosis, cirrhosis, a hepatocellular carcinoma,
alcoholic steatosis, or chronic hepatitis.
And a great number of these folks
use some kind of natural remedy as treatment
rather than pharmaceuticals,
according to a 2012 study published
in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.

According to the paper,
the following herbs and herb-derived remedies
are among the top contenders
in this natural fight against liver disease:

1) Curcumin  (turmeric derivative)
2) Wogonin (Scutellaria radix). This monoflavonoid compound isolated from skullcap root shows incredible promise in the treatment of both Hepatitis B and C, as well as various forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
3) Glycyrrhizin (Glycyrrhiza glabra). This active constituent of licorice root has long been used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis, and also possesses a host of natural anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties.
4) Resveratrol. This polyphenolic phytochemical derived from berries, grapes and wine, has gained itself a solid reputation as one of the most potent anti-aging compounds found in nature.
5) Silymarin (Silybum marianum). This compound derived from milk thistle is arguably the most well-studied in the natural treatment of liver disease.
6) Rhein. This anthraquinone derived from rhubarb is known to have powerful anti-cancer properties.
7) Geniposide (Gardenia jasminoides). This compound of the gardenia plant is particularly beneficial in treating hyperlipidemia and fatty liver disease.   read more

Even if multitaskers feel like they’re getting more done,

And the cognitive costs get worse.

Chandor Gardens is a unique world-class paradise featuring an enchanting array of creativity, color and beauty. The gardens were lovingly designed and created by renowned English portrait artist Douglas Chandor over 70 years ago yet remain a spectacular marvel. Douglas painted portraits of Edward, Duke of Windsor, the young Prince of Wales, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth among many others.

When Douglas Chandor married Weatherford native Ina Kuteman in 1935, she convinced him to build their home and garden in the heart of her hometown. Although his claim to fame was his talent as an artist, Douglas found his real passion as a gardener. He once told Ina that his talent for painting was merely a means that enabled him to fulfill his dreams of building a “living artwork”.

chandor 3Douglas Chandor’s destiny would be to turn these dreams into a reality. The gardens, originally called White Shadows, were carved from 4 acres of rock-hard terrain that was once a cow pasture. The project began in 1936 with the aid of picks, shovels, dynamite and mule-drawn plows. Truckloads of topsoil and tons of boulders were brought in to transform the barren cactus-dotted property into a peaceful haven enclosed by hedges and walls.

Chandor devised a series of garden rooms, each with individual character and stunning views, all connected by meandering walkways. His creation combines the styles and ambiance of Chinese and English gardens with such delights as fountains, grottos, and even a mountain waterfall.

The Chandors worked tirelessly together in the gardens until Douglas’ death in 1953, at which time Ina renamed them Chandor Gardens as a tribute to her husband. The gardens remained open to the public until shortly before her death in the late 1970s. Because there were no direct heirs, the property remained unattended, overgrown and deteriorating for 20 years.chandor 4

In 1994, local residents Charles and Melody Bradford purchased the estate and took on the enormous task of restoring the gardens and home. In what could only be described as a true labor of love, they painstakingly spent years clearing and cleaning away the debris of decades of neglect.

Many large old trees, Douglas’ original wisteria and boxwood plantings, and his magical hardscapes remained. Everything else was replanted by the Bradfords, and thanks to their efforts Chandor Gardens was once again transformed into a lush tranquil delight.

Please observe the POLICIES of the Garden. Uniform pants with a belt, polished shoes & red monogrammed school shirts are required.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS/NEIGHBORS/SIBLINGS/ are always invited to participate on our trips.

Shattering the Hourglass / Smart Meters? / Shakespeare on Friday

sky 1

A child passes through our lives
Like a celestial object in space,
Dancing through the universe
Rapidly past our small, lonely planet,
Past a lonely heart in need.
sky2 The light of your life,

The stories you and only you
Can share,
Stories that should be,
Must be told,
Will truly become a treasure
More valued than gold.
Yes, the arteries from your heart
Are the richest veins
Of gold.

Reveal to your child
How you see the Universe,
What tomorrow can bring,
And all the joy
  Their Life has given you.
And as you tell
Of so many Blessings,
Let your heart sing.

sky 4

The Love of our beloved children
Can only wither and die
In the emptiness of space,
In the loneliness of time,
If we do nothing.
Nothingness
Is a destroyer of worlds.

Gather the flowers of love
From the Garden
Of life that remains,
And fill the void
Felt inside.

Yes, there are many
Shattered and empty hearts,
Created by simply

Never knowing,
Never being told,
They were truly loved.

All around us

Are the tattered remains
Of so many fragile hearts,
Broken by the waters
Of so many tears
That have flowed,
Standing at the foot
Of so many graves.

sky 3

Ever late,
They could have loved
Those left behind
With the flowers of their Spring,
With the joyful tears
Of Life and Love.

In sharing your time,
And the hidden treasures of your joy
With your precious children,
You create such beautiful moments together,
That this time will become worth
All that is of any real value
To you and them
In this world.

Do not wait,
For the time shall never be right,
It will escape you!
Time creates its own illusions,
Shattering the hourglass,
That by pretense of its being,
Feigns to measure
That which does not exist
.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAYes,
Tomorrow will always be too late.

So please stop.
Make the world as you imagine it to be,
Go away.
Place your loving arms around the real world,
Your child of so many dreams.
Fill the heart
Of such longing and desire
With truth,
With your deep and abiding Love,
Love everlasting,
The Love that flows through you
By the Grace of God above.

And after all the deeply heartfelt feelings,
Of knowing, surely knowing,
That your child is all that matters
In this world to you,

That you are in Love,
In Love with the dream come true,
The Gift of your child,
The beautiful Blessing of birth,
Of Life and Love renewed,

There will blossom,
Like a flower in the wind,
Such a depth
Of unbelievably beautiful emotion,
That you will rediscover the joy in life,
And the bountiful, beautiful Love
That has been ever so
Quietly,

Patiently,
Waiting,

Just for you.

SMART METERS? – from our friends at NaturalNews.com. read more

When Thomas Edison began wiring New York City with a direct current electricity distribution system in the 1880s, he gave humankind the magic of electric light, heat, and power; in the process, though, he inadvertently opened a Pandora’s Box of unimaginable illness and death.

Smart meters send and receive wireless RF/MW signals throughout homes and businesses. These smart meter RF/MW levels are far higher than those already reported to cause health risks.

Compliance is not safety, since the existing FCC safety limits are under challenge, and have already been called ‘insufficient to protect public health’ by some federal agencies.

Dirty Electricity tells the story of Dr. Samuel Milham, the scientist who first alerted the world about the frightening link between occupational exposure to electromagnetic fields, electromagnetic pollution, and human disease. Milham takes readers through his early years and education, following the twisting path that led to his discovery that most of the twentieth century diseases of civilization, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and suicide, are caused by electromagnetic field exposure.

Wyatt is the dog whisperer.

Wyatt is the dog whisperer.

Dr. Milham warns that because of the recent proliferation of radio frequency radiation from cell phones and towers, terrestrial antennas, Wi-Fi and Wi-max systems, broadband internet over power lines, and personal electronic equipment, we may be facing a looming epidemic of morbidity and mortality. In Dirty Electricity, he reveals the steps we must take, personally and as a society, to coexist with this marvelous but dangerous technology.

Daniel Hirsch, a lecturer and expert in nuclear policy at University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), has written a report that reveals smart meters emit 160 times more cumulative whole body exposure than cell phones.

Dr. Magda Havas, associate professor and researcher at Trent University, has studied dirty electricity since 2003.
Some of her findings when dirty electricity is removed:
• Improvement in the symptoms associated with MS
• Diabetic’s blood sugars stabilized
• Decreased breast cancer risk
• Body’s efficient use of calcium restored
• Appropriate melatonin distribution returned, improving sleep patterns
.
Dr. Milham’s findings led him to contact higher-ups in the military and the government, with no response. This prompted him to author his book. Dr. Milham’s work found correlations between communities using little or no electricity and those using dirty electricity. The communities exposed to dirty electricity had a much higher incidence of many chronic diseases and other health afflictions. How does this happen? The body is an electrical being. Every cell, tissue, and organ transmits information through tiny electrical currents which are disturbed by these high frequency fields, setting the body up for disease. When suffering from exposure to dirty electricity the symptoms are wide ranging and diverse. These symptoms may manifest through:
• The skin
• Sleep disturbances
• Muscle and joint pain
• Physical and mental exhaustion
• Migraines
• Light headedness
• Nausea
• Loss of cognitive function
• Irritability
• Anxiety
• Muscle spasms
• Numbness and tingling
• Pain in the lower extremities
• High temperature

The Creation of Dirty Electricity

An example of how dirty electricity is created stems from how cell phone towers utilize energy. The towers operate on direct current. However, the electrical current supplied to the tower is in the form of an alternating current; therefore, the supply needs to be changed or converted. This is accomplished using an inverter. Inverters interrupt the alternating current and are a source of dirty electricity. This dirty electricity is put back into the power supply lines, which in turn, can enter a building through their electrical wiring.

Dirty electricity also affects electronic equipment.

Exposure in the average home comes from:

• Cell phone chargers

• Computers

• Office equipment

• Television sets

• Dimmer switches

• Wireless technologies

• Energy saving devices

• Electrical wiring in walls

• Candescent fluorescent light bulbs

Avoiding Exposure (Here is where you can take notes.)

• Change all CFLs to candescent or LED bulbs

• Keep a good distance away from wiring and other sources of dirty electricity

• Limit the use of “dirty electricity appliances”

• Replace unsafe electrical devices with safer alternatives

• Purchase a GS meter and, filter out electromagnetic pollution as necessary with GS filters

Dirty electricity is everywhere. Undiagnosable illness can be a result of exposure to this source of electromagnetic pollution. Implementing these changes may eliminate symptoms, thus eliminating illness. Limiting or avoiding exposure to dirty electricity is beneficial for everyone, avoiding sickness in the first place.

By the way, there are two ways you can shield yourself and your family; you can either use an absorbent shield or a reflector shield. The absorbent shield absorbs RF radiation and the reflector shield deflects the RF radiation away from your home.
