Leaning Out For Love / Civil War Museum

We dressed up for the stock show!

We dressed up                for the stock show!

From beautifully crafted music we weave together a tapestry of thought and reflection that brings meaning to our lives and fosters understanding of the world around us. We are all in need of finding within ourselves some significant degree of unity with the seemingly incomprehensible stage upon which we play.

The writers of song are the poets and philosophers of our day. Their innermost thoughts can provide a lamp post for the mind that pervades the darkness of our narrow dwelling here on earth. I am grateful to these gifted artists who, with no small measure of courage, reveal the innermost depths of their hearts for the benefit of us all. So please allow me to share a tapestry of their love and understanding, that in blending together, forms a clearer understanding of the greatest quality of being that we can have for ourselves and our beloved children.

Sia fell in love with a rabbit.

Sia found a Rabbit she loves.

From the exquisite song, Suzanne (Link) by Leonard Cohen, we find a deeply meaningful message:

“There are children in the morning.
They are leaning out for Love,
And they will lean that way forever.”

Yes, our children, all of our children, will today and forever be, “Leaning out for Love”. Sometimes we fail to understand the behavior of our children, when their message of love becomes entangled with other things that we do not love. We do not recognize that what we are bearing witness to is not the real message our children truly wish to convey, a message they struggle to share in their every thought and deed.

Alden wants a dozen of these beauties.

A good time was had by all.

A good time was had by all.

Our gaze has strayed from looking at the compass of our hearts and, instead, seeks to look far down the pathway of life ahead.

And in so doing, we lose our direction. And sometimes, we lose our way. And in trying to find our way back home, we look everywhere, but in our own hearts. And then, we are startled to discover that we are suddenly lost – set adrift upon a vast, seemingly endless sea, with no sight of the shore.

Allow me to introduce the stunningly beautiful thoughts, found within the of lyrics of “Heaven on Earth” by Spadecaller, with music by Thomas Newman:

“That Next Place”
(click here to listen to this song)

“Beyond the turbulence of anguished thought
We found this special place within
,
Where pride intrudes not on the soul of love,
Imposes not on another’s Sacred Journey,
Respects humbly the right to be wrong,
Accepts silently the right to be right,
Awaits not for the wrong to be righted.”

We found this special place together
After the turbulence of anguished thought faded,
After the vexations of bitter hearts perished,
After surrendering yesterday’s regret,
After giving away tomorrow’s worry,
After the allure of Utopian dreams,
Drove us to our knees
in Forgiveness.”

I told you, it's a school for the creative!

This inexplicable creature was found roaming the halls. Hey, it’s a school for the creative!

We are here, in this time and space, neither yesterday or tomorrow. But forgiveness may be found on this day, and it shall remain with you forever. For your forgiveness to be moment by moment, will find you to be forgiven. Then the love you sought to share shall remain embedded in the heart of your child forever.

“The weak can never forgive.
Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

MUSEUM RULES
* No loud talking, running, or jumping or one of the new Anderson school staff will get you. (They are ALL ex-school principals. Notice their threatening gaze searching for any sign of misbehavior!)

* Stay with your chaperone at all times. If Dr. A seems jittery, he has had enough! Just offer him coffee with extra cream and allow him to quietly mutter incoherently to himself.

* Use clipboards for worksheets. Do not lean or write on exhibit display cases or walls or, you guessed it, Dr. A.

* No food, drink, candy, or gum is allowed inside. Give these items to Dr. A. He knows what to do with them.

* The museum has video surveillance & alarms so don’t be alarmed and please smile.

They reserve the right to refuse service and rough up those who do not wish to follow the rules of conduct. Now, there are exceptions and one of them is Dr. A. He is a good guy and won’t remember the rules, and he already looks roughed up.

The Enduring Power of Eternal Love / Destination: Stock Show

“Love is always open arms.
If you close your arms about love
you will find that you are holding only yourself.”

– Leo Buscaglia

A pesticide free environment produces wondrous creations.

In a pesticide free environment we discover wondrous creations. This stunning Moth was waiting patiently for Dr. A on his chair. I am simply stunned by the beauty displayed on the living canvasses of Gods art, found throughout our natural world of wonder.

The Enduring Power of Eternal Love

Have you ever noticed how everything is beautiful when you are in love? Love becomes a lens that focuses the vision of our lives. And I have often wondered if, perhaps, we can only truly see through the eyes of love. If so, the focus of life becomes the human heart.

And, I wonder, if love is all there is to truly see. For without love, we are more than blind, for we can never come to know more than what we can see. And, as strange as it may seem, we can only see ourselves through the loving eyes of another. That person becomes the mirror of our reality. We always see ourselves through eyes of someone else. When we comb our hair and get dressed each morning, we do these things not for ourselves, but for others. We want to look good in the mirror of their minds and in the memory of their hearts.

Have you noticed that when you are truly in love, everything that does not matter becomes blurred. But clearly, the one you love stays focused, even in your dreams. Yes, you can see so clearly that love and life beautifully blend together until, at last, you love life and you find your way home. And, to your surprise, home is not found where you are, but in the heart of another. And what a warm and treasured place to be. Leo Buscaglia says it another way, “If you close your arms about love you will find that you are holding only yourself.” Now there is a lonely place.

The human heart, as fragile as it is, can become the mightiest fortress God can build, to house the most precious treasure on this earth. My friends, let your heart be transformed by the enduring power of the love of God. And, if you look, you can find that love residing in the heart of the next child you meet.

Bailey truly enjoyed skating.

Bailey truly enjoyed skating at Rollerland West.

Yes, God sees through the eyes of every child. And He is looking straight at you and staring into the very depths of your soul. And the rhythm of your heart beats in time with His. And His Heart resides within each one of His Lambs, for we are truly One, and only One.

Yes, there lies buried deep within each of us a treasure far greater than gold – something that transcends all understanding, all reason, all knowledge and all mankind. It is always abiding, enduring, yes, always alive. And it measures time in a mysterious and unique way. Being near to those we love causes time to pass quickly. And being far away, time moves in our aching hearts and in our minds – so slowly. Yes, your heart is the only true measure of time.

Today, research by leading physicists tells us that Dark energy is a mysterious quantity that makes up, along with dark matter, most (if fact, nearly ALL) of the mass of the universe. Two of the biggest mysteries of both string theory and cosmology are the presence of unseen, what is called, dark matter and a form of dark energy. No one, not even one scientist, can define these mysterious forces, which constitutes an astonishing 96% of matter, with recognizable, normal matter being only 4%. This unknown and indefinable matter and energy constitutes almost everything and is all pervasive (much like God is described in religious texts). Our greatest minds have no idea what it is. And I am left wondering if, perhaps, we are at long last now discovering the all encompassing power that is the vast ocean of God’s Eternal Love.

In the insightful and beautifully crafted words of Joe Henry and music by John Denver, entwined within the lyrics of, “The Wings That Fly Us Home”, we can find a deep philosophical revelation:

“And the spirit fills the darkness of the heavens
It fills the endless yearning of the soul
It lives within a star too far to dream of
It lives within each part and is the whole
It’s the fire and the wings that fly us home.”

Why French Kids Don’t Have ADHD / ROLLERLAND WEST

Now, I think Dr. A is this old!

Now, I think Dr. A is this old!

French parents believe that hearing the word “no”
rescues children from the
“tyranny of their own desires.”

The following information is intended to supplement, not substitute for, the expertise and judgment of your physician, pharmacist or healthcare professional.

(This information is from, “French children don’t need medications        to control their behavior”. Published on March 8, 2012                             by Marilyn Wedge, Ph.D. in Suffer the Children. click here to read full article)

In the United States, at least 9% of school-aged children have been diagnosed with ADHD / ADD, and are taking pharmaceutical medications. But in France, the percentage of kids medicated for ADHD is less than one half of one percent (.5%). Why has the epidemic of ADHD / ADD in the United States almost completely passed over children in France?

In the United States, psychiatrists consider ADHD to be a biological disorder with the preferred treatment also biological–psycho stimulant medications such as Ritalin and Adderall.

Michael and Bailey enjoyed their time at the Monnig Meteorite Gallery

Michael and Bailey enjoyed their time at the Monnig Meteorite Gallery at T. C. U.

French child psychiatrists, on the other hand, view ADHD as a medical condition that has psycho-social and situational causes. Instead of treating children’s focusing and behavioral problems with drugs, French doctors prefer to look for the underlying issue that is causing the child distress—not in the child’s brain but in the child’s social context. They then choose to treat the underlying social context problem with psychotherapy or family counseling. This is a very different way of seeing things from the American tendency to attribute all symptoms to a biological dysfunction such as a chemical imbalance in the child’s brain.

French child psychiatrists don’t use the same system of classification of childhood emotional problems as American psychiatrists. They do not use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or DSM. According to Sociologist Manuel Vallee, the French Federation of Psychiatry developed an alternative classification system. The focus of this system (CFTMEA) is on identifying and addressing the underlying psychosocial causes of children’s symptoms, not on finding the best pharmacological bandaids with which to mask symptoms.

Information is sometimes found in strange places

Information is sometimes found in strange places

To the extent that French clinicians are successful at finding and repairing what has gone awry in the child’s social context, fewer children qualify for the ADHD diagnosis. Moreover, the definition of ADHD is not as broad as in the American system, which, in my view, tends to “pathologize” much of what is normal childhood behavior. The DSM specifically does not consider underlying causes. It thus leads clinicians to give the ADHD diagnosis to a much larger number of symptomatic children, while also encouraging them to treat those children with pharmaceuticals.

The French holistic, psychosocial approach also allows for considering nutritional causes for ADHD symptoms – specifically the fact that the behavior of some children is worsened after eating foods with artificial colors, certain preservatives, and/or allergens. Clinicians who work with troubled children in this country—not to mention parents of many ADHD kids—are well aware that dietary interventions can sometimes help a child’s problem. In the United States, the strict focus on pharmaceutical treatment of ADHD, however, encourages clinicians to ignore the influence of dietary factors on children’s behavior.

And then, of course, there are the vastly different philosophies of child-rearing in the United States and France. These divergent philosophies could account for why French children are generally better-behaved than their American counterparts. Pamela Druckerman highlights the divergent parenting styles in her recent book, “Bringing up Bébé”. I believe her insights are relevant to a discussion of why French children are not diagnosed with ADHD in anything like the numbers we are seeing in the United States.

Kylie enjoys having her puppy with her.

Kylie enjoys having her puppy with her.

From the time their children are born, French parents provide them with a firm cadre—the word means “frame” or “structure.” Children are not allowed, for example, to snack whenever they want. Mealtimes are at four specific times of the day. French children learn to wait patiently for meals, rather than eating snack foods whenever they feel like it. French babies, too, are expected to conform to limits set by parents and not by their crying selves. French parents let their babies “cry it out” if they are not sleeping through the night at the age of four months.

French parents, Druckerman observes, love their children just as much as American parents. They give them piano lessons, take them to sports practice, and encourage them to make the most of their talents. But French parents have a different philosophy of discipline. Consistently enforced limits, in the French view, make children feel safe and secure. Clear limits, they believe, actually make a child feel happier and safer—something that is congruent with my own experience as both a therapist and a parent. Finally, French parents believe that hearing the word “no” rescues children from the “tyranny of their own desires.”

As a therapist who works with children, it makes perfect sense to me that French children don’t need medications to control their behavior because they learn self-control early in their lives. The children grow up in families in which the rules are well-understood, and a clear family hierarchy is firmly in place. In French families parents are firmly in charge of their kids – instead of the American family style, in which the situation is all too often vice versa.

QUOTE - Monnig Meteorite Gallery 045Forty years after the drug was first marketed, carcinogenicity (cancer) tests were conducted by the National Toxicology Program, the results of which were published in 1995. Adult mice were fed Ritalin over a two-year period at dosages close to those prescribed to children. The mice developed a statistically significant incidence of liver abnormalities and tumors, including highly aggressive rare cancers known as hepatoblastomas.

The Physicians’ Desk Reference admits evidence on the carcinogenicity of Ritalin.

Apart from cancer risks, there is also suggestive evidence that Ritalin induces genetic damage in blood cells of Ritalin-treated children.

Methylphenidate (Ritalin, Ritalin SR, Ritalin LA, Concerta, Methylin, Methylin ER, Metadate CD, Metadate ER) prescribed for the treatment of ADHD and Narcolepsy), is classified by our government as a psychoactive drug with cocaine and morphine because it is highly addictive.

The long term effects of methylphenidate on the developing brain are

unknown. Methylphenidate is derived from amphetamines, a powerful class of stimulant drugs, and is known on the street as rids, pineapple, uppers, jif, vitamin R and R-ball. Whatever its name, methylphenidate (Ritalin, etc.) is the pharmaceutical equivalent to cocaine.

Even under a physician’s care, methylphenidate addiction can occur because this medication is a highly addictive stimulant drug that works by increasing the dopamine levels in your brain. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), dependency can occur whether the medication is taken under a physician’s supervision or when it is taken recreationally, because your body becomes tolerant to the drug and higher dosages are required to achieve the same high.

In the United States, methylphenidate is classified by the Drug Enforcement Agency as a Schedule II controlled substance with a high potential for abuse. This classification is because of methylphenidate’s high addictive potential. When crushed and snorted, methylphenidate can have the same effects as cocaine in terms of the high it produces. This euphoria is highly addictive.

Methylphenidate addiction treatment is necessary when patients who have taken this medication to treat ADHD, suddenly develop seizures or hypertension. Methylphenidate addiction treatment must begin with detoxification. Methylphenidate detox is the process in which the patient stops using the drug abruptly, and as a result withdrawal symptoms occur. Because methylphenidate is often taken for long periods of time, the likelihood of physical or psychological dependence is high.

Stimulants like methylphenidate can also increase blood pressure, body temperature and heart rate to dangerous levels, and long term repeated use can further lead to acts of hostility and feelings of paranoia. At higher doses, methylphenidate can cause cardiovascular problems such as strokes.

Touching is believing!

Texas researchers have found that after just three months, every one of a dozen children treated for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with the drug methylphenidate experienced a threefold increase in levels of chromosome abnormalities—occurrences associated with increased risks of cancer and other adverse health effects. Here is but one of the others:

Chromosome Abnormalities Raise Risk for Autism. Autism is growing at epidemic proportions, and so is the money being dedicated to genetic studies like this. According to one study, published Jan. 9 in the online edition of the New England Journal of Medicine, a section of chromosome 16 is deleted or duplicated in about 1 percent of people with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). About 15 percent of autism cases have known genetic causes. This latest paper follows closely on the heels of another study, which was published in the Dec. 21 online issue of Human Molecular Genetics, that found the exact same deletion was significantly associated with autism.

Researchers at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) reported their detection of the chromosome abnormalities in the journal Cancer Letters.

The researchers say that, to their knowledge, this is the first study addressing the potential chromosome-breaking effects associated with treatment of children with methylphenidate, the generic name for a group of drugs that includes Ritalin, Concerta, Metadate CD and others.

Most of the abnormalities found in the studied blood cells consisted of chromosome breaks “and a higher frequency of aberrations is reported to be associated with an increased risk of cancer down the line,” said lead author Randa A. El-Zein, M.D., Ph.D., an assistant professor of epidemiology at M.D. Anderson, who performed the blood studies

Concerns on Ritalin’s cancer risk are more acute in view of the millions of children treated annually with the drug and the escalating incidence of childhood cancer, by some 35% over the last few decades, quite apart from delayed risks of cancer in adult life. These risks are compounded by the availability of alternative safe and effective procedures, notably behavior modification and biofeedback.

There is no justification for prescribing Ritalin, even by highly qualified pediatricians and psychiatrists, unless parents have been explicitly informed of the drug’s cancer risks. Otherwise, prescribing Ritalin constitutes unarguable medical malpractice. This statement is from Samuel S. Epstein, M.D., emeritus Professor Environmental Medicine, University of Illinois School of Public Health, Chicago, and Chairman, Cancer Prevention Coalition.

Children & Cell Phone Radiation / Monnig Meteorite Gallery

“It isn’t what the book costs.
It’s what it will cost you
if you don’t read it.”
– Jim Rohn

My friends, I feel that it is important to share this information with you.

Does anyone know where Townes Is?

Does anyone know where Townes is?

The following is from RF SAFE (read entire article at www.rfsafe.com). Research published last year established greater health risks from exposure to cell phone radiation. Major governmental reports were released, and policies were adopted in Europe and India to reduce risks from cell phone radiation exposure.

Following are major research and policy developments regarding cell phone and wireless radiation health and safety in 2013:

– 25 or more years of cell phone and cordless phone use was found to be associated with a tripled risk of brain cancer.

– Women who used cell phones for ten or more years were two-and- a-half times more likely to develop acoustic neuroma, a tumor on the nerve from the ear to the brain.

This is what the path to knowledge looks like!

Yes, child. This is what the pathway to knowledge looks like!

– Only 30 minutes of exposure to LTE, 4th generation cell phone radiation, was found to alter activity on both sides of the human brain.

– Children with slightly elevated lead levels in their blood who used cell phones were found to be at greater risk of developing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) than lead-exposed children who did not use cell phones; the amount of cell phone use predicted ADHD.

Left to their own devices, children know what to do along this pathway.

When guided down this pathway, your child will know what to do.

The American Academy of Pediatrics submitted a letter to the FCC that urged the adoption of standards that protect children’s health and well-being from radiation emitted by cell phones and other wireless devices; that reflect how people actually use their cell phones; and that provide sufficient information to enable consumers to make informed decisions when they purchase cell phones.

YOU MAY WANT TO SIT DOWN FOR THIS – I DID:

Natalie enjoys feeding the fish at the Japanese Garden.

Natalie enjoys feeding the fish at the Japanese Garden.

The U.S. (that’s us folks!) appointed the former chief lobbyist for the cellular industry, to chair the FCC, raising concerns in the public health community that the FCC will not strengthen our obsolete and inadequate cell phone radiation standards.

We really should STOP voting for people who even allow a lobbyist into their office? The lives and safety of our children depend upon it!

And please remember, your VOTE is the most powerful and the most valuable thing you possess. Your vote is a very Sacred Gift placed into your hands by truly loving and courageous people, who suffered and died in countless battles around this earth. You can thank them and express your love for them by exercising this precious freedom, that they so lovingly gave to you. We paid a higher cost in human suffering and death for our freedom to govern ourselves, than for any thing else in life.

Cole has walked long enough & needs a break.

Cole has walked long enough & needs a break.

Please do the research to discover who really cares for us and then, recruit them to run for public office. Support them, vote for them, and then monitor them until they flinch when they see you. And if they stop truly representing you and your precious children – get rid of them and vote them out of their office of Sacred Trust! Take control of your country or prepare to pay an unbearable price.

The World Health Organization in a 471 page report concluded that there is now “limited evidence” in both humans and laboratory animals that radio frequency radiation, especially from cell phones, causes cancer.

The European Environment Agency issued a report calling on governments to reduce exposure to cell phone radiation, especially exposure to children and young adults who are at greatest risk for brain and salivary gland tumors; the report recommended texting (not while driving, silly), use of hands-free sets, and improved cell phone design; governments should reconsider the present exposure standards; cell phones should be required to have effective labeling and warnings about potential risks; and funding should be provided for “urgently needed research into the health effects of phones” and base stations.

Twelve health experts called on governments to adopt stricter safety standards for radio frequency radiation because the obsolete, current standards are not based on the recent literature about biological effects; and recommended that Wi-Fi be banned from public schools and other public venues.

The Los Angeles Unified School District adopted a $500 million

technology plan to install Wi-Fi in every classroom and provide every student with a wireless tablet despite opposition from health experts and the American Academy of Pediatrics. By the way, the Anderson School does not have Wi-Fi for this and other good reasons.

Belgium banned children’s cell phones and requires the specific absorption rate (SAR) be listed on every cell phone at the point of sale and a warning provided to customers to choose a lower SAR phone, use it moderately, and wear an earpiece.

Have you read some of the latest research on disorders such as MS?

Mayo Clinic neurologist, Dr. Jerry W. Swanson, reports on studies conducted by researchers at the University of Oxford and the New Jersey Medical School. These studies tell us that maintaining adequate levels of vitamin D has a protective effect and lowers the risk of developing multiple sclerosis (MS). Another study conducted in the Netherlands at Maastricht University, and other studies, indicate that for people who already have MS, vitamin D may lessen the frequency and severity of their symptoms.

The link between vitamin D and MS is strengthened by the association between sunlight and the risk of MS. The farther away from the equator a person lives, the higher the risk of MS. Sunlight is the body’s most efficient source for vitamin D — suggesting that exposure to sunlight may offer protection from MS.

Today, scientists have concluded that exposure to the ultraviolet (UV) radiation present in sunlight has both beneficial and deleterious effects on human health. The same UV radiation that causes skin diseases can also cure some.

Many diseases and mental disorders are actually caused by a lack of sunlight. In one study the University of Maine found teenage girls are not getting enough vitamin D and as a result, they are at risk for disorders and diseases caused by this nutritional deficiency, including osteoporosis and high blood pressure. Lack of sunlight during the winter months causes a form of depression called seasonal affective disorder or SAD.

Lack of sunlight also leads to Rickets and Osteomalacia and an increased susceptibility to a whole spectrum of diseases, such as diabetes. It is known to be associated with various other diseases, ranging from the flu to heart disease and cardiovascular disease.

A lack of awareness about vitamin D deficiency, and the ‘plethora’ of disease it is linked to, is fueling a rise in preventable illnesses among children, according to experts at the Royal College of of Pediatrics and Child Health. The College warned that only one in ten people get enough vitamin D from food and sunlight so supplementation is necessary.

A lack of Vitamin D is associated with a host of autoimmune ailments such as Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and thyroditis. Sunlight also provides resistance power to the skin, by avoiding skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, and acne problems.

And some research finds that it causes 600,000 cancers each year. We now use satellite measurements of sun and cloud cover in various countries, which has led other researchers to point out that increasing levels of vitamin D3 could prevent diseases that claim nearly one million lives each year.

Uh, the uh, seeds were for the birds!

These studies lead me to believe that incarcerating our fellow human beings in prisons, where access to sunlight is denied, constitutes cruel and unusual punishment and is, therefore, unconstitutional. Our sins seem to go on and on in silence. The love and compassion of our society is not seemingly shared with those most in need. And we, the members of this society, ultimately pay an unconscionable price for our simple lack of compassion.

By the way, the Institute of Medicine recommends 600 international units (IUs) of vitamin D a day for adults ages 19 to 70. The recommendation increases to 800 IUs a day for those who are older.

Did you know that play shapes how the brain is wired. In his book, “Play: How It Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination and Invigorates the Soul”, Dr. Stuart Brown describes both the social and biological benefits of play. More play is associated with the kind of brain development that helps us grasp and make sense of information.

Dr. John Ratey’s work goes further, describing how regular physical activity helps aging adults keep their wits. It’s smart business for parents to join their kids in play.

Dr Ratey suggests that we skip the resolutions this year and just play.

Play will improve a kid’s life. Jill Vialet guarantees it. Vialet, who is emerging as America’s Play Laureate with her new young-adult novel “Recess Rules” has given the world a free guide to games. Vialet founded Playworks.

My friends, so many of the increasing problems and complications our families face are promulgated by our inability to see past our inability to see. We think we know when, in truth, we really need to stop thinking so much.

I can give you many examples of what I am saying. One which surfaces quickly relates to the thought that has gone into the design of new schools, factories and offices. Have you noticed they are now designed to reduce or eliminate sunlight (or as some educators refer to it (are you sitting down?), distractions. You keep sitting while I get more coffee! Now, reflect upon the absolute necessity for adequate exposure to sunlight and you can envision the damage we are doing, unwittingly, to our beloved children and ourselves.

So stop thinking so much. At least long enough to engage your heart and your God given intuition. Parents, you know what your children need. And their needs are really simplistic. They need love, sunlight, play and to be left alone long enough for them to engage their imaginations and allow all that unnecessary and deadly stress to evaporate from their fragile bodies and minds.

In L.A. this hair cut would cost Michael at least $200.00. The sugary drink will cost a lot more later in life.

Believe it or not, they need your permission to love life and they need to be told, ever day, that you love them. These are the words they will hear over and over again when they close their eyes to rest their weary minds. They need to be held in your arms so they can feel the warm embrace of God. They need to see you laugh. And they need to see you cry.

Osho reminds us that, “Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” Yes, your children need to see you cry. They need to share in what has been your joy.

Play, sunshine, in moderation, and love, without moderation.

Now there are truly great new year’s resolutions.

Happy New Year!
