The Longest Journey / Sept. 3 (Tuesday) is the First Day of Fall Semester

The Longest Journey

The longest journey is from the head to the Heart.
It is a road not taken by many.
But on this beautiful pathway,
I found my way home.

In a recent broadcast Ravi Zacharias asked,
“Can you talk about education
without looking into the human heart?”
And my thought was
no,
it is impossible to even think of educating a child
without looking into the Heart of that child.
A child may never remember what you said,
but he will always remember how you made him feel.
Always.

How I clearly remember my Mother, Marie,
when as a young child,
I discovered she had completed the longest journey.
That was when I came to know Love profound
– the kind of Love one finds
only in the compassion expressed by Jesus.
Yes,
I discovered the Love of God
in my Mother.

Marie Anderson

Marie Anderson

By the time she had completed her brief sojourn in Life, she had shared with me the most precious gift of all, more precious than life itself. It was a Love so profound – the kind of Love one discovers only in the sanctity of forgiveness and in the light of hope, when all seems lost – such Love as is conveyed in the compassionate words found in the New Testament.

It was Love that not only never dies,
but opens up the heart and blossoms
like a flower in the wind
with each new dawn.
This kind of love dwells deep within your Heart and overflows out into the world around you and becomes a Blessing to everyone you meet.

You have witnessed such Love, in the smiles and in the laughter that surround your child, as your Heart embraces the precious moments you share. And your child has witnessed the same in the unconditional Love you have given.

It is now my belief that an infinite journey is possible. This journey is longer than we can imagine and it never ends. The longest journey is not from your head to your Heart, it is through your precious Heart.

Such a path leads to everyone, everywhere,
beyond our time and place.
It leads us to the destiny of all those who will live beyond.
For that is the nature of Love that lives within each one of us.
Love, I have discovered, is ultimately what we live for.
Love is what we are.
Love is all we leave behind that truly matters.
And Love profound is
Eternal.

Let Love guide your Life
and become your Northern Star.
Let it point the way.
It is
the pathway Home.

Goodnight.

Deep within us,
beneath
the surface of our conscious mind,
is a place we do not know.
It is
a deeper mind
within.

Most people are far, far away
from this level of awareness.
They live on the fast paced,
often violent surface of the Earth,
with all of its illusions, opportunities,
adventures and misadventures
and misfortunes.

Someone must teach you that Life is lived for Love and Joy. I have my Mother, Marie, to thank.                                – – –  Thank You!

But deep within
there is a burning desire,
a never ending yearning
to find the True
meaning of our
existence.

This longing
emanates
from a deeper place
we can only find
within
each of us.

It is
the very Human Heart,
in which
our Creator lives.

When God created man
in His own image,
He made Mankind
to share
Divine prerogatives.

YOU
are someone great, wonderful and different.
You are the most excellent
of all God’s beautiful creations.
You are a special expression
of Divine Nature,
created by God’s own personal activity.
God created you with Solemnity
and Dignity,
and with the Honor of an intimate
Divine deliberation.

branch-and-sun-bHe created you
with such Love
as you Love
your precious Child.
You are
deeply Loved,
Divine Child
of God.

“Then the Lord God
formed the man of dust from the ground
and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of Life,
and man became a Living creature.”
Genesis 2:7

Only Mankind,
of all God’s creatures,
has a Spirit,
a God-consciousness,
the capacity for knowing God
and holding Spiritual Communion with Him
through Prayer.

There is a deeper reality.

If this knowledge
can be realized,
if it can be accepted,
WE
will be able to envision
a new reason
for Life
and for living.

skippy-first-pictures-no-two-jpeg-240-psi20170204_15175412

That’s me! A few years back and very much in Love with Life.

How much
is a person responsible
for their own
destiny?
Can knowledge
arise from within
to reassure someone
that Life is not
a singular, lonely journey,
leading to nowhere,
to nothing
but death?

Or can Life be lived
with the Love
of God
to guide and comfort us?

My Dear Friends,
everyone who Loves,
experiences a relationship
with God.
God dwells deeply within us,
within Infinite
layers of Love.

There is much speculation
about the creative
potential of the mind,
about the degree to which
we can truly have an impact
upon our own Human experience
here on Earth.
sun-set-over-lake-b

Love gives Truth, direction and purpose.

Yes,
the Human mind
creates its own reality.
But there is a
deeper reality,
a Mind
that created YOU,
the Mind of
God.

The mind of man
is constantly striving to gain
privileges, possessions,
and become passionate
about Earthly things.
And the result is
immense suffering,
calamity and discord,
not only for ourselves,
but for the whole World.

“Someone’s lost the plan
For the brotherhood of man
And no one’s trying to find it anymore
And the winds become a sigh
For those who hate and those who die,
And the waves are black and slow along the shore.

“And will the grass be gone
from underneath the sky?
Will the golden flower wither soon and die?
Will the fire burn out the land,
And the sea fill up with sand,
Will the last word ever spoken be
WHY?”
Roger Whittaker
Our Human race,
in its quest to conquer and possess,
to digress into the illusion
of ownership,
has disrupted the Natural World
so much,
that now we are confronted
by challenges on a magnitude
that leave us to question
our own survival.

“There were plants and birds and rocks and things
there was sand and hills and rings.
The ocean is a desert with it’s life underground
And a perfect disguise above.
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no Love.
You see I’ve been through the desert
on a Horse with no name.
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain.”
America

Such illusory, illogical aberrations of thought
bring us out of conscious alignment
with the rhythms of Nature
and Natural Wisdom.
And now,
we find it almost impossible
to align with our deeper,
natural
sense of self.

We cannot
even identify
our self.

“You think you own
whatever land you land on,
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim.
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a Life,
Has a Spirit,
Has a Name.

Come run the hidden pine trails of the Forest.
Come taste the sun sweet berries of the Earth.
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they’re worth.

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers.
The Heron and the Otter are my friends.
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends.

You can own the Earth and still
All you’ll own is Earth,
Until
You can paint
With all the colors of the wind.
Stephen Schwartz

By altering our climate
we create new dimensions
of stress and uncertainty.
We are no longer
prepared for the future,
a future we cannot
predict.

But God,
My Friends,
dwells in the World
we live in.
And He
will prepare you
and strengthen you.
He will Love you.

“The Bible
is a love letter
from God.”
George Norwood, Deepermind.com

Tomorrow
is beyond the pale
of our understanding.
The future will require
a depth of understanding
and knowledge
and Compassion
that only
the Love of God
can provide.

God has placed within you
the strength
for you
to face the difficult times ahead
and deeper intelligence
in His Sacred Knowledge.

The answers lie
buried
deep within.

Goodnight.

7 Natural Drinks That Help To Calm Your Nerves
By Urmet Seepter
.
Relaxing has phenomenal health benefits including reducing stress, insomnia and also discouraging the development of cancer and heart diseases. This post discusses natural drinks that you can take to calm your nerves and relax.

7 Natural Calm-Down Drinks that Will Relax Your Nerves

Pure Coconut Water

Although coconut water has been associated more with its energy-boosting capabilities, it can also help you sleep better. It is an excellent source of magnesium and potassium, the two ingredients that help muscles relax and regulate digestion and improve blood circulation. A small cup of coconut water is richer in potassium than 2 bananas. Also, coconut water is rich in B vitamins that help reduce stress and can also lessen the risks of lower blood pressure and heart attack. It is one of the best remedies you can drink to calm your nerves naturally.

Warm Or Hot Milk

Hot or even warm milk is great for a person who feels that his nerves are shot and they want to fall asleep. Milk contains an amino acid known as tryptophan and this is what helps you calm your nerves. If you want sweet antioxidant boost, mix it with a little honey. Next time you are unable to calm your nerves, just drink warm or hot milk. It can work wonders.

Tart Cherry Juice

According to studies, drinking tart cherry juice has overwhelming benefits to your body. Some of its advantages include reducing inflammation associated with arthritis and heart disease, encouraging normal levels of uric acid (this can ease gout), lowering blood cholesterol, encouraging healthy joints and improving muscle recovery.

It also has great sleep advantages in addition to promoting a lovely skin. It is common to see some of the best athletes take this drink in the middle of their performances.

Herbal Teas

There are many herbal teas that can help your anxiety. However, it is important that whatever tea you choose to take, it should not contain caffeine.

Below are the common herbal teas that you can drink to calm your nerves.

Kava.

This is by far the best known herbal tea for dealing with anxiety. Many times, its effects are likened to those of Buspar, a common anxiety drug, and it appears to possess all the traits of a herbal remedy. This includes being non-addictive, completely natural as well as the fact that it can be consumed whenever needed. However, it is instructive to take note of a few things regarding kava tea. Firstly, the kava tea bought at your local grocery store is not good enough to relax you. While the basic teas provide only 30-50 kavalactones, you need up to 300 or more for you to see any calming effects. The trick is to find a purer herbal tea, such as those that are normally stocked in tea shops. Also, it is advisable to mix it with a drink that contains fats, like coconut milk or butter. Another thing is that kava is very strong and is likely to interact with certain medications. Also, never take it with alcohol. If you have liver disease, kava tea is not for you. NB! This drink must not be taken without a doctor’s nod.

Passionflower Tea.

Passionflower tea works similar to kava. However, it is not strong the way kava is but has lots of benefits. It offers great calming effects the same way kava does but it does not have the side effects associated with kava.

Valerian Root Tea. This type of herbal tea is not necessarily designed for anxiety. However, it still has the calming effects that can soothe anxiety symptoms. Traditionally, valerian tea was used to aid people in sleeping. Many people who suffer from insomnia use valerian root tea to help them catch a few winks of sleep.

Oat Straw

Oat straw may be good for you if you want something to drink to calm your nerves. It is a well known remedy that has been used over the years to cure exhaustion and depression. However, this is not a magic drink that will relieve you of your anxiety in an instant. It must be taken for some time, like a month, for it to have calming effects on you. You can find it in stores that sell natural remedies and herbs.

Green Tea

Green tea has many health benefits, and one of these is stress relief. The reason for its stress relief is mainly because of theanine it contains, an important calming agent. Like the herbal teas above, it is important that you drink decaffeinated green tea. Caffeine is in fact a stimulant and cannot produce the calming effects that you need.

Honey-Infused Drinks

If, for some reason, you cannot use herbal teas, just take any of the drinks mentioned above and infuse them with honey for roughly two weeks. When you feel ready to drink a cup, just mix a table spoon of honey or tea mixture into hot water, hot milk or coconut water and drink it up. It will calm your nerves and help you relax.

Relaxing is important for a healthy person. However, the busy lifestyles that most of us find ourselves in today deprive us of time to relax. But the good news is that there are indeed natural drinks that you can take to calm your nerves.

Many Hearts are Homeless / Radiation Exposure of Smart Meters / Friday: At School

So many Hearts
are homeless,
lost
on a long highway
to anywhere
but Home.

Where
do we go
from here?
Perhaps,
in a direction
unknown.

We are
far more simplistic
and Beautiful,
than illusioned in this
material World.

              To anywhere but Home.

We are
Heart and Soul,
the Dream
of our Maker,
the Deep Love God Created,
the very Breath
of His Life.

So where,
My Dear Friends,
do we go?
.
Inward.
In the direction
we are
not aware of.

The longest Journey
we can make,
from the Head
to the Heart,
can be made
in one moment
of Time –
in this Life,
in this Time.

                     In one moment.

The war
for sanity
and our search
for the Sacred,
is not on
a battlefield.
Long before
we realize we are
at war,
we wander through
many minefields
of the mind.

As a very young person,
I often wondered:
How do we learn to live
in this reality?
And what is it?
What is
truly real?

The illusions of
Life
create so very many
truly devastating
and depressing
expectations, horizons, and prejudices
leading to self-destruction,
and wars.

Yes,
I searched
my mind
for so many years.
Until,
one day,
I discovered I was looking
in all the wrong places.

Looking in all the wrong places.

What I needed,
and found after fervent Prayer,
was to look beyond
what we can see,
to a far deeper
reality.

As I looked up one day,
to see the precious flying Creations
in God’s stunningly Beautiful Sky,
I stopped thinking
and I began to feel,
to feel very deeply,
with all my Heart,
in the reality that
God Loves us.

How
could it be
anything
other.
God is Love.
And WE
are His Children.

My Precious Mother Marie.

I Prayed for His guidance.
And in one moment,
one Beautiful moment in Time,
I was reminded
of something my precious Mother
told me many years ago:

“You are meant to Live
for much more than yourself.
Pursue God’s purpose for you
and do so
with great passion.”

So I looked beyond
me.

                     Look beyond me.

.
What defines us,
guides us through this
brief, precious Life.

My Dear Parents,
our children cannot define themselves.
They are given the wrong definitions
of self.
They are based upon what we accomplish,
the opinions of others,
the self-defeating lies we tell ourselves,
on appearance or possessions
– which always leave us feeling
we are not good enough,
we do not have enough,
we are not
enough.

I beg of you
to tell them the
Truth.

There is no Higher
Truth,
no Greater
Reality
if they embrace their true identity
as God’s Beloved Child.

Our value is intrinsic
and secured by God.
It is NOT dependent on our abilities
or whether or not other people accept you.
Hey,
if they don’t accept you,
count your Blessings.
You are unique!

God knows you.
He accepts you.
He LOVES you.

   Our children cannot define themselves.

Immerse yourself in God’s Word.
Place His Scripture
deep into your Soul.

This REALITY,
what is truly real,
will transform you.

Make decisions,
for yourself
and especially for your Children,
based upon Biblical Teachings
for guidance.

Learn from our history.

And the History
of Mankind,
OUR kind,
is not pretty.

There is no Higher Truth, no Greater Reality.

I pray tonight for everyone.
May your Dreams become reality,
and may your precious Lives be filled
with Love for one another,
and the Love
of God.

Goodnight.

            Immerse yourself in God’s Word.

“Be Thou my Vision,
O Lord of my Heart
Naught be all else to me,
save that Thou art Thou my best Thought,
by day or by night Waking or sleeping,
Thy presence my light
Be Thou my Wisdom,
and Thou my true Word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me,
Lord Thou my great Father,
I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling,
and I with Thee one
Riches I heed not,
nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only,
first in my heart High King of Heaven,
my Treasure Thou art
High King of Heaven,
my victory won
May I reach Heaven’s joys,
O bright Heav’n’s Sun
Heart of my own Heart,
whate’er befall Still be my Vision,
O Ruler of all.”

Radiation Exposure of Smart Meters
by Daniel Hirsch

Daniel Hirsch:
Radiation Exposure of Smart Meters Report is Inaccurate

By Mary on January 31, 2011 in General Info, Health, Health, Misinformation, Position Statements, Resources, Smart Meter News

Daniel Hirsch, lecturer and expert in nuclear policy and radiation at UCSC, criticized the California Council on Science and Technology’s (CCST) “Health Impacts of Radio Frequency from Smart Meters” report. CCST is a partner with the US Department of Energy, funder and promoter of smart meters.

Here he is on video in an impromptu interview after a lecture he gave at Stevenson College, UCSC about the crisis in Fukushima.  He was asked about smart meter radiation and the ‘independent’ CCST report on the health effects of smart meters:

The draft report by the California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) does not appear to answer the questions asked of it by the requesting elected officials. Furthermore, rather than being an independent, science-based study, the CCST largely cuts and pastes
estimates from a brochure by the Electric Power Research Institute, an industry group, issued some weeks earlier.

The EPRI estimates appear incorrect in a number of regards. When two of the most central errors are corrected – the failure to take into account duty cycles of cell phones and microwave ovens and the failure to utilize the same units (they should compare everything in terms of average whole body exposure) the cumulative whole body exposure from a Smart Meter at 3 feet appears to be approximately two orders of magnitude higher than that of a cell phone, rather than two orders of magnitude lower.

Comparison of Radio-Frequency Levels to the Whole Body from Various Sources in μW/cm2 over time [corrected for assumed duty cycle and whole body exposure extrapolated from assumed cell phone dose at ear].

                     God’s stunningly Beautiful Sky.

A Mother’s Love / Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented Conference / Friday: T. B. A.

“Honor your Father and your Mother,
as the Lord your God has commanded you,
that your days may be long,
and that it may be well with you
in the land which the Lord your God
is giving you.”

Deuteronomy 5:16

Every
breath we breathe
is a Miracle.

As you hold your breath,
it nurtures you with Light,
fills your every living cell,
resonates with every part
of your body and mind and Soul,
and brings you
into a Beautiful harmony
with everything you seek
in Life.

Upon releasing this Gift
back into the void
from which it came,
you become harmonious
with all other Living things.

The breath you breathe
you share
will every
thing,
and you become one
with all,
again.

The Majesty of Wonder
is Graced
by your every
breath,
by your thoughts and deeds,
and by the Prayers you Pray,
to sow the seeds
of Life ever after,
and LOVE
beyond Belief.

YOU
are the culmination of God’s
creative Desire.

“The LORD God formed Man
from the dust of the ground
and breathed into his nostrils
the Breath of Life,
and man became a Living Being”
Genesis 2:7

Yes,
God
is the Potter,
that molds our Clay
to His Creative Desire.

…………….God is the Potter.

And
your Mother’s Love –
also comes
from Above.
It frees you
from worry and
sleepless nights,
from not knowing
what is right.

A Mother’s Love frees you.

A Mother’s Love
fills us with
Grace,
that will never
die,
with tears
that never dry,
with a Truth
that will never lie,
with LOVE
surging from Her
Fiery Heart,
in whose Loving Shadow
WE
shall always remain.

In the midnight quiet
of a railway station,
a little boy
sits quietly,
almost all alone,
waiting on
the Rock Island Line,
to return him home,
to the farms
of far away Iowa,
a place he knew
as Paradise,
with just his precious
Mother’s voice
to soften the hard edges
of the hardwood bench,
the crisp night air,
the reflecting, echoing walls,
Life.

And I discover,
with the Love
of a Mother,
nothing else
in Life
truly matters.

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause Peace to return to our Hearts.”
Washington Irving

And My Mother’s precious Life
echoes back:

“If I never
would have lived,
I could not
die.
Death
is proof of
Life.
And Life,
my Son,
is proof of Love.”

       ………….It is YOU.

Life is bittersweet
and can be filled
with despair.

Upon a razor’s edge
are we cast
onto the stage
of a Magnificent Day,
that can quickly become
a long night
to stay.

As our minds reflect
upon Human misery,
the mirror of our awareness
shows the World can be
a terrible place.
The History
of the Human race
depicts something far less
than Humanity.

And the fear of death,
not knowing where we go,
or what takes place
after we tell
the brief story of our Life,
can become worse
than death itself.

My Dear Friends,
God dwells in your Heart.
And by His Strength and Grace
alone,
you are able
to overcome adversity.

Marie Anderson

Marie Anderson

How well I remember
finding my precious Mother,
Marie,
lying in her bed,
literally in a pool
of her own blood.
She was rushed
to Baylor Medical Center.

I am in tears
as I share this with you.
They are tears
of Joy
and Thanksgiving.

The Surgeon visited with me
shortly before proceeding with
exploratory surgery.
And he shared with me
a sad truth.
I asked a simple question
and he gave me
the simple truth:
“Is there any Hope?”
No,
he whispered.
“What is the chance
that she can survive?”
None.
And then I searched his eyes
for any sign of Hope
and asked,
“What are her chances?”
He replied with great compassion
in his voice:
There is a one hundred percent
probability
that she will not survive
this night.
We will do what we can.
But, No.
Dr. Anderson, there is
no Hope.
Her condition is such
that she cannot survive
whatever is causing
this very massive loss of blood.
She is dying from cancer.
I’m sorry.”

I do not know how,
but I made my way
to the little Chapel
in the Hospital.

And there I cried
and cried and cried.
I begged God
not to take the Life
of this precious Mother.
I Prayed.
And through the tears
I could barely see.
But through the years,
I could clearly see.
What a Blessing
Life can be
when someone Loves you
as much
as she Loved me.

sun set

 In awesome wonder

I shared the Love
I had felt though the years
with my Lord.
I expressed my deep gratitude,
over and over again,
for her very precious Life.
I shared the need
to have her with me
a little longer.
I told my God,
“I still need her in my Life.
Please, let me have her
a little longer.”

I was in
so much pain.

And then
my Communion
with the Lord
suddenly ended.
A strange feeling,
a quiet Peace,
came to my Heart.
I never felt anything
like it before.

I looked around
and the good Doctor
was quietly standing behind me.
The look on his face
astonished me.
It shocked me.
I could not understand it.
It was a look
I never expected.
Why was he looking
through me
and with such an amazement
in his tired eyes?
He was speechless
for a very long time.
He just looked
into my eyes
and looked through me.

After what seemed like
an Eternity,
he spoke
in a hushed and whispered
voice:
“I could not find anything wrong.
I think she will be all right now.”

I could barely speak.
I thanked him
and he very, very slowly
walked away
into a darkening hallway,
and I walked out of
a very dark night.

My precious Mother lived
for another twelve
and one half years.

Yes,
my tears
are of Joy
and Thanksgiving.

My Precious Lord,
How Great Thou Art.

A Mother’s LOVE
is the reason
why,
the night
Flowers into Morning.

May God grant
that a Man
should one day
be as strong,
as the LOVE
He found
in His Mother’s arms.

A Mother’s Love
is forever found,
in all
the countless generations
to come.

The
Infinite Love of
God
defines a Mother’s Love.
It is now
and forever.
It is
God Incarnate.

Mother,
it is
YOU.

Goodnight.

….A Heavenly masterpiece of a creation.

Stay in Motion / In-depth Depression Information / Sept. 4: Classes Resume

          My other Mother, Nature.

One thing
I am most grateful for,
is spending so many
of my Sacred Summers
and weekends
with my other Mother,
Nature,
learning how good
Life can be.

                           Sacred Summers

I thank
my precious Mother,
Marie,
each day in Prayer
for trusting in the Lord
and ME.

She placed me
in the care of the greatest man
I have ever met.
He was the Scoutmaster of Troop 17,
Werner Bendorf.
In him,
I found the Loving Father
I never met.
In his precious son,
Allen,
I found a brother.

There are no words
to describe
the Beauty I discovered
in God’s Glorious and Magnificent
World of Nature,
or in truly Loving friendships
fostered over many years,
while camping under
the Stars at night,
and hiking through the woods
in the bright, beautiful Sunlight.

                         Under the Stars at night.

I had a GREAT time
and would not change
a single second
of my many, many adventures.
NOT ONE!

My Dear Friends,
please remember
one antidote for depression,
which we ALL are in sufferance of,
is movement – motion.

STAY
in motion
(physically, mentally, emotionally,
Spiritually)
and you will NOT have
the time or wherewithal
to even think about
being depressed.

Stagnant water
becomes undrinkable,
a stagnant mind,
unthinkable,
and a stagnant body –
highly breakable.

There is
a Beautiful Sunset
just on the horizon.

                                              Stay in motion.

Go outside.
Celebrate Life!
Show your child
just how good
Life can be.

Goodnight.

From our friends at WEBMD:

Depression

An estimated 19 million American adults are living with major depression. At WebMD you’ll find in-depth depression information including symptoms, medications, and therapy.

Here are some of the things you can do:

Reach Out

Meet a close friend for a walk if you have one nearby. If they’re all too far away, make a call. Talking with someone you care about can help you feel supported and less stressed. Along with lifting your mood, research shows it can strengthen your immune system so your body is better at fighting illness, and it’s good for your heart, too.

Have a Little Dark Chocolate

It has chemicals called flavanols that can make more blood flow to your brain and may help you think more clearly. But don’t overdo it. Chocolate also has fat and calories and lots of caffeine, too. Just a small square of the dark stuff – 70% cocoa or more – 2 or 3 times a week may be all you need.

Play Some Tunes

Music can affect your brain in the same way chocolate does. And when you sing along – it doesn’t matter how well – your brain makes natural painkillers that can give your mood a boost.

Laugh

This can help ease tension in your muscles, and when you breathe in quickly, your heart and lungs get a boost, too. Laughing also makes your brain release chemicals that help your body fight pain and infection. So hunt down some funny clips of your favorite TV show. It’s not goofing off – it’s good for you.

Do a Good Deed

When you do something nice for someone, your body makes hormones called endorphins. These are natural painkillers linked to trust, pleasure, and a connection with other people. Helping others also has been shown to raise your self-esteem.

Hug Your Dog

Just being around your pet can make you feel better. Your body releases a hormone called oxytocin that lifts your mood and bonds you to other living things.

Drink Water

When your body needs water, you can feel tired, cranky, or a little blah. It may even affect your mental sharpness. If you’re not excited about drinking a glass of water, you can get it from food: Fruits and vegetables are good sources.

Go Outside

Not only can it lift your mood, but it also can be good for your blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and stress level. You’ll get even more out of it if you take your dog with you and add in some exercise. At the office, a plant on your desk or a picture of the woods can make you feel less anxious or irritable.

Exercise

You don’t have to sweat it out at the gym. A 10-minute walk seems to lift your spirits just as well as a 45-minute workout. And people who exercise often deal with stress better overall. Invite a friend and do something outside to boost the benefit.

Eat Something (Healthy)

If you don’t eat enough to fuel your day, you can get tired, hungry, and maybe even a little snippy – “hangry.” Just make sure to eat the good stuff: Whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and lean meats have nutrients to feed your brain and perk you up. They also take longer to digest, so you have energy throughout the day instead of all at once. Things like junk food may give you a boost, but a crash may follow.

Meditate

Focus on your breath and try to keep your mind free of thoughts. When a worry enters your mind, try to let it go. It’s OK if you get distracted – the point of meditation is to continue to try. It can calm you down and lift your mood, especially if you make it a regular part of your day.

Rest

Sleep can ease anxiety and boost your mood and focus — try for 7 to 9 hours a night. If you have trouble going to sleep, keep your room cool, dark, and quiet and don’t watch TV or use the computer right before you turn in. It also helps to go to bed and get up at the same times every day.

Take a Vacation

If you just can’t shake out of it, you may need time to recharge, relax, and take stock. This can help you see all the good things in your life that get lost in the rush of daily routine. It also gets you away from the stress of work or home life and can help you bond with family and friends.

A Lot Like Heaven / The Bio-Initiative Report / Friday: At School for Shakespeare Rehearsal

Dedicated
to my precious Mother,
Marie Gaul Anderson.

            HELLO to Love

When Sundown
pales the sky,
when it is time
to say goodbye,
have we
ever truly said
HELLO,
hello to Love,
hello to Life,
to living,
to laughter,
to leaving?

Have we
greeted the Evening
of Life,
as we did
our Morning?

Did we ever
truly come to know
the Sun that rises,
is the same Sun
that sets,
that the Heart
that beats for one
can live for all
and die without
regret,
that the Light
of Love
can shine
throughout our lives
and into the Hearts
of each and every
one?

     The same Sun that sets.

From where I came,
the Earth
looked a lot like Heaven.
Smiles
came from one
who gave me
Life,
who answered my
Prayers,
who forgave me,
sustained me,
and showed me
the Way,
who put me
to bed at night,
and turned on the Light
of Day,
who kept me clothed and fed,
and filled my Life with
Hope and Joy,
day after day after day.

The Child once we were can remain.

She
took me
to Church
and with me
Prayed,
showed me
there is more to Life
than living,
more to receive
in giving,
more to Love
than we can ever
know,
measure,
or understand.

Let us give thanks
for the precious Mothers
of our World.
It is their
Love
that sustains,
that remains,
that lights the Lamp
of Hope.

The Love of a Mother
insures
that the Child
once we were,
can remain.

Goodnight.

         A Lot Like Heaven.

Thank You!

My Dear Friends,
the following information
is truly
IMPORTANT.

Please
read it carefully
and take it
to Heart.

Our precious children
need our guidance
and good judgment.

Each new technology is a whole new World. And under every Flower there,    a serpent lies coiled. – Wm. C. Anderson

Cell Phones and Cancer

The World Health Organization
has classified cell phone radiation
as a class B carcinogen.

Dr. David Carpenter,
Dean at the School of Public Health
State University of New York,
believes that up to 30% of all childhood cancers
are associated with
electromagnetic (EMF) radiation exposure.

Cell phones emit high levels
of electromagnetic radiation
directly into your head,
actually heating it up in the process.
There is increasing amounts of scientific evidence
linking this to brain cancers.

Multiple recent studies,
including international scientists,
are urging governments to place stricter regulations
on cellphone use,
particularly due to the latest outcome
of their investigations:
Young people who use cell phones
before the age of 20
are five times more likely
to be at risk for malignant brain tumors
than children who do not use mobile phones.

Researchers of the 2012 Bioinitiative Report
agree that approximately ten years of cell phone use
may lead to tumors.
There are significant studies that directly correlate
RF radiation from cell phones with brain tumors.

The BioInitiative 2012 Report
was prepared by 29 authors from ten countries,
ten holding medical degrees (MDs), 21 PhDs,
and three MsC, MA or MPHs.
Among the authors are three former presidents of the Bioelectromagnetics Society.

She turned on the Light of Day.

Studies report that:

The chance of developing a brain tumor
goes up as much as 40%
after a decade of cell phone use.
Yes,
people are 5 times more likely
to develop a brain tumor
if they began using a cell phone
before the age of 20.
People have twice the risk
of developing the cancer known as “Glioma”,
if they use their cell phones for half an hour a day
for more than a decade.

People using cell phones for 2000 hours
have 240% greater risk for malignant brain tumors.

A significant report was released in 2009
by the International EMF Collaborative,
a team of international EMF scientists and activists,
entitled “Cell Phones and Brain Tumors:
15 Reasons for Concern, Science, Spin
and the Truth Behind Interphone”.

Another study by an Israeli research group
found that there’s recently been a sharp 4-fold increase
in malignant tumors of the parotid gland
on the side of the face
the cell phone users generally hold the phone.
Parotid tumors have historically been very rare
and have shown up in people after the age of 50.
Most cases since 2001 have occurred
in people under the age of 20.

More to Love than we can ever know.

Cordless land line phones
emit high levels of EMF radiation
and can be even more dangerous than cell phones!
And usually we speak longer on cordless phones

More than 31 million children use cell phones daily
close to four hours a day.
Cell phone radiation danger to children
is especially of concern,
as children absorb 50% more radiation than adults do,
because their skulls are thinner and smaller,
and EMFs penetrate much more deeply into their brains.
Their brains are more conducive to radiation
due to the higher water and ion concentration
in a developing brain.

Many health symptoms
due to cell phone radiation
show up early on and may precede
more serious disorders and diseases.

They include:

Chronic colds & flues
Headaches and “mind-fog”
Digestive disorders
Sleep disturbance.

Memory Loss
Depression/anxiety
Chronic pain
Dizziness

There is more to Life than living.

Brain cancer has now surpassed leukemia
as the number one cancer killing children,
and many scientists believe
this is directly linked to the exponential increases
in cell phone use
and other wireless devices.

One of the most comprehensive studies
testing the cell phone – cancer link on children
was conducted by Professor Lennart Hardell in Sweden.
The results of the study indicate that
children and teens
are 5 times more likely to get brain cancer
if they use cell phones.

A study conducted in 2009
by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt
on autistic children
and their mothers during pregnancy
shows significant results,
strongly suggesting that:

“electromagnetic radiation
in the sleeping environment
of the mothers during pregnancy,
as well as electromagnetic radiation
in the sleeping environment of children,
may be a key contributing factor
if not a causative one –
in neurological impairments in children,
including autism.”

Forgive us Lord,
for we know not
what we do.

Come on Folks,
put the phone down
and just talk to your child.
Old fashioned conversations
are GREAT
and
much safer.

THAT
is called Love.

Now,
please don’t CALL me
and tell me
you agree.

“Oh I believe
there are, Angels among us
Sent down to us,
from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me,
in our darkest hours
To show us how to live,
to teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of Love.”

A Beautiful and Mysterious Enigma / Wizard’s Gambit by Bill Kincaid / Mistakes are the Way We Learn / Important Dates

“The best and most beautiful
things in the World
cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be
felt with the Heart.”
Helen Keller

Life is
a Beautiful and Mysterious
enigma.
.
And never
more Mysterious or Beautiful
than when we are
in Love.

Love
is a heightened state
of awareness,
a NATURAL state of
consciousness.

Love
enhances our awareness
of the powerful,
guiding forces
in the Universe.
These forces
brought us into
this World,
and they can
sustain us,
or destroy us.

“There’s always some reason
To feel not good enough.
And it’s hard at the end of the day.
I need some distraction,
Oh beautiful release.
Memory seeps from my veins.
Let me be empty,
Oh, and weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight.”
Sarah McLachlan

                       It moves through YOU.

Love
is so Mysterious
that it transcends
Life
as we know it.
Love allows us
to enter dimensions
unknown.
It challenges our
intellect.

“We’re heading for something,
Somewhere I’ve never been,
Sometimes I am frightened,
But I’m ready to learn
Of the power of Love.”
– Barry & Holly Tashian, Pamela Hayes

.
Love
is so powerful
that it moves through
the whole Universe.
And
it moves through
YOU,
much like
waves of gravity
that also
bring things together.
.
“Maybe I didn’t love you
Quite as often as I could have.
Little things
I should have said and done.

I just never took the time.
You were always on my mind.”
– Johnny Christopher, Mark James, Wayne Thompson

               Beautiful and Mysterious

Love
awakens us
to the Reality of God,
and the greater Reality
of ourselves.

We envision
our innermost Nature
only
in the Heart
of someone we
Love.

Only
the Human Heart
can show us
the true value
of Life.

Only
the Heart
can light the way
to happiness
and Beauty.
The Human Heart
is the hinge
upon which the World,
YOUR World,
turns.

The very Fabric
of the Universe,
and your Life,
is changed
through simple acts of
Love.

To set Fire
to your Heart,
dedicate
one moment
of your Life,
to uplifting the Spirit,
lightening the burden,
instilling Joy
into the Life
of someone else.

In that
one moment of time,
you can feel
Eternity.
In just one moment
you can be,
more
than you thought
you could ever be.
When the Heart
beats
for someone else
in need,
your Spirit
is set free.

.
The Marriage
of the Spirit
and the intellect
takes place
upon the Altar
of the Human Heart.

Each person
is a Book.
And
if we learn
to read that Book,
we can read
everything.

So,
you’re sitting at home,
a little bored, absentmindedly fluttering
from one thought to the next,
not expecting much.
And then Life happens.
Wow!

             Everything else is an Illusion.

And
you begin
the journey
of self discovery
by reading your Book.
The Holy Bible
is your Book.
It is
the Book of
YOU.

True Knowledge
of the Mysterious workings
of the material World around us
can only be discovered
though
Spiritual Experience.

In the context
of the larger and greater
Spiritual Reality,
the physical World
is very small
indeed.

Yes,
the mental and the material
can be transcended
through
Spiritual Dimensions.

                And then Life happens.

The pathway forward
begins
with but the first page
of God’s Holy Word,
The Bible.

In the beginning . . . .
.
“So God created man
in His Own Image,
in the Image of God
created He him;
male and female created He
them.

 And God Blessed them.”
Genesis 1: 27-28

Now,
you have started
upon a Beautiful Journey.
Just
take the next step.
Open the Book
of Life.

These forces brought us into this World, and they can sustain us.        (I wonder who that is?)

Awareness
of Spiritual Reality,
the Immanence of the
Divine
encompassed and manifested
in our material world,
in our everyday Life,
is the only Hope
for happiness,
for good,
for Love,
for Truth.

Everything else,
is an illusion.

The window of opportunity
to be truly happy
is very narrow.
Never
will we be children again,
until we are
very old.

My Dear Friends,
we are
Spiritual Beings
having
a Human experience.

The unknown darkness
bearing in on us,
needs
but the Light of
Love
to be extinguished.

And that Love
may be found
in the Holy Word
of God,
in the silence
of a Prayerful mind,
in the LOVE
you give
to someone.

Goodnight.

“There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a Miracle.
The other is as though
everything is a Miracle.”
Albert Einstein

MISTAKES
are the way we fallible and fragile
and very HUMAN beings
LEARN.

They are the natural
order of things.
They are essential to
Life,
Evolution,
Learning,
Laughter
and LOVE.

I encourage you to make at least ONE
mistake on purpose each day.
Discuss it at length with your young one.
See if he or she can guess which mistake
you made that day
on purpose.
Record your child’s response
and expect him or her to be on Comedy Central
later.
This will be
an entertaining and enlightening
conversation.

A mistake
is the greatest teacher
on Earth.

Our mistakes give Life
texture,
new direction,
meaning,
reflection
and a wonderful and Loving opportunity
for Forgiveness,
should we have the courage
to ask.
