Until Every Thread Is Torn / This Nutrient Could Eliminate 50% of ALL Deaths From CANCER / School Starts Sept. 1

    Pouring down like Golden Honey

Across the Evening Sky
the Light is slowly leaving,
pouring down like golden Honey,
with Beauty aglow
as we fall in Love
Believing,
but never truly knowing
if we are dreaming.

     ‘Til every thread Is torn.

Our Lives
we Live in such hues,
as if what is revealed
is real,
until every thread
is torn
from the Fabric of Life and Living,
in the Tapestry of
our minds
surreal.

.

So much of what we know
as Life,
is not really Living
at all.
But in the brevity of our Being,
in so Believing,
Blessings abound.

Infinitely Loving Brushstrokes,
with Beauty far beyond
what we can behold,
flung against the Canvass
of the Evening Skies,
reminded us
that the Love of God
opens our Hearts,
as we open our eyes.

Poets and Writers of Song
have always known,
always felt deeply,
our Hearts need to be
Courageous and Free.
Though we may be made blind
by illusions so bold
they appear infinite and immeasurable,
by the Grace of God
we can see.

     Infinitely Loving Brushstrokes

Joni Mitchell
expresses in beautiful song:

“I’ve looked at Life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s Life’s illusions I recall.
I really don’t know Life
at all.”

Is it delusion to Believe
the images in our minds
are the real World?
Is it unlike
our experience of it?

The concept that reality is
only in the mind,
is found time after time after time,
In the study of Philosophy,
and in the Sciences
that remind.

Physicist
Sir Arthur Eddington notable said,
“Matter is mostly ghostly
empty space.”

To be more precise,
it is 99.9999999% empty space.

My friends,
we faint and flickering
shadows and shades
are almost non-existent.
Matter, of which we are made,
Is coming into and out of existence
Billions of times each second.

Your reality,
which includes you,
Is blinking constantly on and off at all times.
Quantum physics has left scientists
all over the world
Baffled.
Especially with the discovery
that our physical material reality,
Isn’t really physical
at all

Our Human brain is designed
by natural experience (in order to survive),
to sense the “on” frequency.
Just as quickly,
it blinks “off,”
and everything, including you,
disappears.
However, your brain registers and connects only
the “on” segments,
and thus you have the sense
or feeling of your reality being
solid.
What quantum mechanics reveals
Is that there is NO true “physicality”
in the Universe.

Yes my Friends,
we are truly ONE

with each other,
with God.

“We don’t know what matter is
anymore than we know
what mind is.”
Christian de Quincy,
The Paradox of Consciousness

We have discovered in quantum physics
that even subatomic particles
are far, far from solid.
They are nothing like matter
as we think we know it.
These particles,
of which we are made,
can never be precisely measured.
And they are everywhere,
Everywhere,
In the same moment,
Until observed.

Religion incorporates transcendent, immanent

The Divine is everywhere.
The property of being present everywhere

which is the source of all existence.

that He is able to interact with His
Divine Creations,
with you,
Child of God.

Our physical material reality isn’t really physical at all.

Is it?

and we are,
Clouds of potential existence,
with no definite location.
Whatever matter is,
It has little,
If any,
Substance.

Our idea of matter
as solid,
as substance,
is a quality appearing
ONLY in our consciousness.
It models what is real,

what is really,
or, perhaps,
NOT really,
there.

German philosopher Immanuel Kant
posited that time and space
are not inherent qualities of the physical World;
They are a reflection
of the way
our mind operates.

We are the creators of the World we experience.

And so,
We are NOT
passive experiencers of the World;
We are the Creators
of the world we experience.
We, my friends,

The Earth is not
at the center of the Universe,
WE are.

Human Thought Determines Reality.

“You don’t need to feel alienated

YOU are the World.
Riccardo Manzotti

Early in the 1900’s it was proven

with an experiment called
the double slit experiment.

of the behavior of energy (particles)
at the quantum level,
is the awareness
of the observer. (read more)

We are truly ONE with the Universe, with each other, with God.

The question of God’s existence
is the most important question
of Human philosophy.

My Dear Friends,
Religion and science are merging,
they are becoming one.
Not as antithetically opposed
as we may believe.
Our discoveries suggests
a far, far more enlightening meaning
to this marriage.

Not just academic,
not just philosophical,
but personal, practical, meaningful.
And as we think upon these things,
as best we can,
we become Blessed to realize:

“Those who dwell in the Beauty
and the mystery of Life
are never lonely.”

The Earth is not at the center of the Universe, WE are.

In our Human affairs
we Live our precious Lives
as if the material World
Is the fundamental reality.
And in this consciousness
lay the root of our discontent,
our misery,
our unquenchable thirst.

My friends,
we are losing our Humanity,
not knowing
WE
are far, far more
than Human.

The Human Spirit
Is the very essence of Life
In a Human Being.
And knowledge of this can amplify
the Joy of Living,
and bring about Spiritual Freedom.

You are a Spiritual Being
having a Human experience.

Your infinite capacity
to create, to Love, to dream, to forgive
and to be aware that you are far, far more
than you can ever imagine,
ultimately defines what it means to be
Human.
You are the most beautiful and miraculous Creation
in the Universe.
And you are
Eternal.

What is missing,
disappearing from Life,
Is the most exciting, wonderful, exhilarating
discovery of all:
When we Love someone,
and finally come to know
that we are deeply Loved,
God enters our Hearts,
and what is dreamed
becomes forever
real.

Goodnight.

Did You Know…

… that there’s a nutrient that could eliminate 50% of all deaths from cancer and prevent other diseases that claim nearly 1 million lives every year?

That nutrient is … Vitamin D, the “sunshine vitamin,” which is now recognized by traditional and natural doctors alike as one of the most powerful, inexpensive ways to prevent disease.

Vitamin D is found in small amounts in some foods, such as milk, eggs, fish, and fortified orange juice – but the most important, natural source of vitamin D comes from exposure to sunlight.

Vitamin D influences over 2,000 of the 30,000 genes in the body, which explains why it has been found to inhibit the onset and spread of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, autism, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis, to name a few.

Next to smoking, not getting enough vitamin D is the No. 2 risk factor of cancer!  Every year, 30% – or two million people worldwide (200,000 in the U.S. alone) – could be spared of dying from cancer if they would just take the proper amounts of vitamin D.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, an Osteopathic physician and New York Times bestselling author, “Groundbreaking studies proved that 600,000 cases of cancer could be prevented every year just by increasing your levels of vitamin D. And without question, the best way to obtain your vitamin D is by UVB sunlight falling on unexposed skin in doses that do not cause sunburn. Beyond cancer, increasing levels of vitamin D could prevent diseases that claim nearly 1 million lives throughout the world each year.”

Dr. Michael Holick, one of the world’s most respected authorities on Vitamin D and author of The UV Advantage explains that “Vitamin D is made in the skin, gets into the bloodstream, and then goes into the liver and kidneys where it is activated into a hormone called 125-dihydroxy (calcitriol). It is this activated vitamin D that has biological, disease-prevention effects, such as preventing prostate cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and colon cancer.”

The proper amount of vitamin D in the body helps to:

  1. stop mutated cells from forming and spreading;
  2. cause diseased cells to commit “cell suicide” – i.e., cause them to literally self-destruct;
  3. causes the differentiation of cells (Cancer cells are often undifferentiated, and this causes them to reproduce faster);
  4. reduce the probability that dormant tumors will regenerate into cancerous cells by inhibiting the growth of blood vessels in those areas.

Absorption is the key. Dr. William Grant, Ph.D., Director of the Sunlight, Nutrition and Health Research Center, and an expert on the effects of the environment and diet on chronic disease, recommends that adults get 2,000 to 4,000 IU’s of vitamin D every day from the sun or from vitamin D supplements to prevent cancerous or dysfunctional cellular activity. However, most people get less than 300 IU’s a day.

While it’s true that excessive amounts of unprotected UVA rays can increase your risk of melanoma skin cancer, there is an overwhelming body of evidence that shows that moderate sun exposure combats cancer and other disease without risk.

It is virtually impossible to overdose on vitamin D. In fact, there’s never been a reported case of vitamin D toxicity – so go outside and enjoy your daily dose of sunshine! If you’re unable to get sufficient sun exposure, taking a high quality vitamin D supplement is recommended by many health practitioners. Natural vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), or human vitamin D, is the type most often prescribed for therapeutic reasons because it is far superior to vitamin D2, which is synthetic.

We reflect the Joy in our Hearts.

The reason
we Love Life,
is simple
Life
is Love.

LOVE
is the most powerful energy
in existence.
And when we send
this amazing and indefinable
energy
to each other,
we reflect the Joy
in our Hearts.

“To watch us dance
is to hear our Hearts speak”.
Hopi, Native American Tribe, proverb

When
we let the Love of God
flow through our Heart
and out into the World,
we spread the Message
of God’s Love.

Life is a song,
and our Love
is the lyrics.

Love permeates everything.
It is all that Truly is,
and all that ever was,
and all that will ever be.

Love stays with you.
And it changes
the Shoreline of Life
Beautifully,
by the ebb
and flow
of seas,
filled with our tears of Joy
and many memories.

The sounds of Nature blend melodious song to mirror Salvation.

The Beautiful Message of Love

Your Loving words

the Love in their Hearts
through the day,
and enables them to see

and Truly alive
in Peace and Harmony.

Yes.
Life is a song.
Let’s sing it
together.

The Beautiful Message of Love you share is a shining Light.

.Reality,
My Dear Friends,
is projected outward
from
the Heart and mind.
If
you Believe,
it exists.

Our inner psychological state
is projected outward
and gains
physical reality.
This is regardless of the nature
of your psychological state.
This applies to everyone.
And,
you can use this knowledge
for your own benefit.
You can change
your own conditions.

The Bible says,
“Without Faith
it is impossible to please Him [God],

for he who comes to God must Believe
that He is and that He is a rewarder
of those who diligently seek Him”
Hebrews 11:6

If we seek Him,
will we find Him?
Yes.

God says,
“You will seek Me and find Me,
when you search for Me
with all your Heart”

Jeremiah 29:13

Yes,
we need to change
the World.
But to change the World
around us,
we must change
OUR World
inside.

“Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be.
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we.
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect Harmony.
Let peace begin with
me.

Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with
ME.”

Jill Jackson-Miller,
wrote this Beautiful song
after discovering what she called
“Life-saving Joy of God’s Peace
and unconditional Love.”

In the inner Core
of our Souls,
we find Faith.

We cannot doubt
we exist,
because we exist
to doubt.

Do not doubt
that God Loves you.
He Loves you
enough to liberate your mind
to doubt.
He Loves you enough
to let your precious Heart
show you the way
to His Heart.

Be at Peace
My Friend.
God is more real
than we are.

And so is
His Love.

Love that dwells
within your Sacred Heart,
will never lay upon an Altar
of vain repose.
God sets Glorious the setting Sun,
as the sounds of Nature
blend melodious song
to mirror Salvation,
made manifest Majestic
in every Human Heart
that beholds the
Eternal Light
of the Everlasting
Love of God.

Goodnight.

Biocentrism

Does The Soul Exist?
Evidence Says
Yes

New scientific theory recognizes Life’s Spiritual Dimension.

The reality of the Soul is among the most important questions of life. Although religions go on and on about its existence, how do we know if Souls really exist? A string of new scientific experiments helps answer this ancient spiritual question.

Consider the famous two-slit experiment. When you watch a particle go through the holes, it behaves like a bullet, passing through one slit or the other. But if no one observes the particle, it exhibits the behavior of a wave and can pass through both slits at the same time. This and other experiments tell us that unobserved particles exist only as ‘waves of probability’ as the great Nobel laureate Max Born demonstrated in 1926.
.
They’re statistical predictions – nothing but a likely outcome.
Until observed, they have no real existence;
only when the mind sets the scaffolding in place,
can they be thought of as having duration or a position in space. Experiments make it increasingly clear that even
mere knowledge in the experimenter’s mind
is sufficient to convert possibility to reality.
.
Many scientists dismiss the implications of these experiments,
because until recently, this observer-dependent behavior was thought to be confined to the subatomic world. However, this is being challenged by researchers around the world. In fact, a team of physicists (Gerlich et al, Nature Communications 2:263, 2011) showed that quantum weirdness also occurs in the Human-scale world. They studied huge compounds composed of up to 430 atoms, and confirmed that this strange quantum behavior extends into the larger World we live in.
.
.
Importantly,

this has a direct bearing on the question of whether Humans and other living creatures have Souls. As Immanuel Kant pointed out over 200 years ago, everything we experience – including all the colors, sensations and objects we perceive – are nothing but representations in our mind. Space and time are simply the mind’s tools for putting it all together. Now, to the amusement of idealists, scientists are beginning dimly to recognize that those rules make existence itself possible. Indeed, the experiments above suggest that objects only exist with real properties if they are observed. The results not only defy our classical intuition, but suggest that a part of the mind – the Soul – is immortal and exists outside of space and time.

(Immanuel Kant is the central figure in modern philosophy.
He synthesized early modern rationalism and empiricism,
set the terms for nineteenth and twentieth century philosophy,
and continues to exercise a significant influence today in metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, and other fields.)

Immanuel Kant

The idea of the Soul is bound up with the idea of a future life and our belief in a continued existence after death. It’s said to be the ultimate animating principle by which we think and feel, but isn’t dependent on the body. Many infer its existence without scientific analysis or reflection. Indeed, the mysteries of birth and death, the play of consciousness during dreams (or after a few martinis), and even the commonest mental operations – such as imagination and memory – suggest the existence of a vital life force – an élan vital – that exists independent of the body.

Yet, the current scientific paradigm doesn’t recognize this spiritual dimension of life. We’re told we’re just the activity of carbon and some proteins; we live awhile and die. And the universe? It too has no meaning. It has all been worked out in the equations – no need for a soul. But biocentrism – a new ‘theory of everything’ – challenges this traditional, materialistic model of reality. In all directions, this outdated paradigm leads to insoluble enigmas, to ideas that are ultimately irrational. But knowledge is the prelude to wisdom, and soon our worldview will catch up with the facts.

Of course, most Spiritual people view the soul as emphatically more definitive than the scientific concept. It’s considered the incorporeal essence of a person, and is said to be immortal and transcendent of material existence. But when scientists speak of the soul (if at all), it’s usually in a materialistic context, or treated as a poetic synonym for the mind. Everything knowable about the “soul” can be learned by studying the functioning of the brain. In their view, neuroscience is the only branch of scientific study relevant to understanding the soul.

Traditionally, science has dismissed the soul as an object of human belief, or reduced it to a psychological concept that shapes our cognition of the observable natural world. The terms “life” and “death” are thus nothing more than the common concepts of “biological life” and “biological death.” The animating principle is simply the laws of chemistry and physics. You (and all the poets and philosophers that ever lived) are just dust orbiting the core of the Milky Way galaxy.

As I sit here in my office surrounded by piles of scientific books, I can’t find a single reference to the soul, or any notion of an immaterial, eternal essence that occupies our being. Indeed, a soul has never been seen under an electron microscope, nor spun in the laboratory in a test tube or ultra-centrifuge. According to these books, nothing appears to survive the human body after death.

While neuroscience has made tremendous progress illuminating the functioning of the brain, why we have a subjective experience remains mysterious. The problem of the soul lies exactly here, in understanding the nature of the self, the “I” in existence that feels and lives life. But this isn’t just a problem for biology and cognitive science, but for the whole of Western natural philosophy itself.

Our current worldview – the world of objectivity and naïve realism – is beginning to show fatal cracks. Of course, this will not surprise many of the philosophers and other readers who, contemplating the works of men such as Plato, Socrates and Kant, and of Buddha and other great spiritual teachers, kept wondering about the relationship between the universe and the mind of man.

Recently, biocentrism and other scientific theories have also started to challenge the old physico-chemical paradigm, and to ask some of the difficult questions about life: Is there a soul? Does anything endure the ravages of time?

Life and consciousness are central to this new view of being, reality and the cosmos. Although the current scientific paradigm is based on the belief that the world has an objective observer-independent existence, real experiments suggest just the opposite. We think life is just the activity of atoms and particles, which spin around for a while and then dissipate into nothingness. But if we add life to the equation, we can explain some of the major puzzles of modern science, including the uncertainty principle, entanglement, and the fine-tuning of the laws that shape the universe.

“The Hope of another Life”
wrote Will Durant,
“gives us courage to meet our own death,
and to bear with the death of our Loved ones;
we are twice armed if we fight with Faith.

And we are thrice armed
if we fight with science.

Garlic in Prostate Cancer Prevention

Can garlic help prevent and fight prostate cancer, the most common non-skin cancer in America? Several studies suggest garlic and garlic supplements offer protection against cancer, including prostate cancer. These anti-cancer effects are thought to be largely attributable to organosulphur compounds which are produced during the decomposition of allicin. Allicin, in turn, is formed in raw garlic cloves when you crush or chop them.

Additionally, garlic – especially raw garlic – is rich in vitamin C, a nutrient that has been used to prevent and treat prostate cancer.

The rest of this article provides details of recent studies that have been carried out to investigate a possible link between eating garlic and a lowered risk of prostate cancer:

A population-based, case-control study conducted in Shanghai, China, found that men who ate more than 10 grams of Allium vegetables, particularly garlic and scallions, per day were 50% less likely to get prostate cancer than those who ate only a little bit of garlic. The reduced risk of prostate cancer associated with garlic consumption was independent of total caloric intake, body size, and consumption of other foods. This study appeared in the November 2002 edition of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

In another case-control study, a group of researchers from Oxford asked 328 men diagnosed with prostate cancer before the age of 75 and 328 controls to provide details of their dietary habits. The controls were matched for age. Garlic and garlic supplements, along with a few other foods such as beans and peas, were found to have a protective effect against prostate cancer. This study was published in the renowned British Journal of Cancer in 1997.

However, not all case-control studies support the theory that garlic helps reduce the risk of prostate cancer. A large 2006 study that analyzed dietary data from a number of Italian and Swiss case-control studies found a significant association between high garlic consumption and a reduced risk of several cancers, but not of prostate cancer. The scientists responsible for this study believe that in case of prostate cancer, hormonal factors may play a bigger role in the development of the disease than dietary factors. This study on garlic and cancer was published in the November 2006 edition of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

GarlicThe Bottom Line

Some studies suggest that garlic can indeed help prevent and fight prostate cancer, while other studies imply that garlic does not have a significant protective effect against prostate cancer. However, there are numerous studies that show that a diet rich in garlic is good for your overall health and vitality, and that eating garlic regularly can reduce the risk of several types of cancer including stomach, mouth and throat, kidney, and colorectal cancers. This evidence supports the idea of including garlic in an anti-prostate-cancer diet (or almost any other diet aimed at improving health).

“Lo, here the gentle Lark,
Weary of rest,

From his moist cabinet mounts up on high,

And wakes the morning,
From whose silver breast

The sun ariseth in his
Majesty.”

– William Shakespeare

The Music
of Prayer and Meditation
can calm
the relentless and restless
Spirit.
The highest wall
you have to climb
is the one you build in your mind.
Never let your mind
talk you out of your Dreams.
Dreams
are Heartfelt things.

There is always something Beautiful.

The mind
becomes the greatest obstacle
to Happiness.

Do the works of the one
you Believe yourself to be.
Live in the feeling
of Being the one you want to be,
and you shall be –
Happy.

When you Believe
in yourself,
and in our Loving God
who Lives deep within
your Sacred Heart,
you find the reality
of the Beautiful Gift to Humanity
that you are.

Harvard Studied People For 75 Years And Found That Happiness And Longevity Comes From One Thing…

by Cheyenne Diaz

January 6, 2018

This post was originally published on Ted.com

What makes a good life? Many people around the world would say fame or money or “success.” But it turns out, a good life consists of much more than that.

The Secret To Happiness And Longevity

We all want to extend our happiness and longevity — so what keeps us happy and healthy as we go through life?

If you think it’s fame and money, you’re not alone – but, according to psychiatrist Dr. Robert Waldinger, you’re mistaken. Happiness doesn’t just come from “leaning in” at work or pushing harder for achievements. It doesn’t come from hearing our names spoken about in an envious way or from seeing our face plastered on billboards.

As Dr. Waldinger says in the video, “We’re giving the impression that these are the things we have to go after if we want a good life.” But that’s actually not true.

And he would know. As the director of 75-year-old study on adult development, Waldinger has unprecedented access to data on true happiness and satisfaction. It’s known as the Harvard Study. And it’s the longest study of adult life that has ever been done.

They’ve studied people who grew up in tenements, others who went to the best schools, and some who developed schizophrenia. They’ve watched as some climbed to the top of the social ladder from the bottom while others who made that journey in reverse.

And they’ve been able to study and develop what the real picture of life looks like. It turns out that feeling connected to the people around you is the most important secret.

3 Lessons for relationships that improve your life

If you want to invest in your best life, here are 3 tips you should consider.

1. Social connections make us happier and healthier while loneliness kills

When you’re more socially connected to your family, your friends, your partner, and your community, you tend to be much happier and healthier. But the reverse is also true: the less connected you are and the more lonely you feel, the more vulnerable you are to an early death. And the unfortunate paradox in this day and age is that a lot of people are more connected before through technology, but less connected to real people in their lives.

2. It’s not just the number of your relationships but the quality of relationships that counts.

Just because social connections make us happier doesn’t mean you should get more of them or keep them all. Unhealthy marriages, for example, were actually almost more toxic that divorcing or staying single. It’s the quality, not the quantity, that counts.

3. Good relationships protect both our bodies
and our brains.

Secure, attached relationships — relationships where both partners feel they can count on each other in times of need — protect our mind and our body. That doesn’t mean that you have to find a relationship where there is never any bickering or conflicts. It means that your relationship can protect you as long as you feel you can truly turn to the person you’re in a partnership with when the going gets tough.

Take a look at the full talk to hear more about the study, as well as some practical, old-as-the-hills wisdom on how to build a fulfilling, long life.

The Very Foundation Of Our Human Existence / 7 Powerful Mushrooms And Their Healing Benefits / Sept.1 School Starts

  No Person
comes into Being
without the need
for
Love
.
We Human Beings
are here
because of Love.
We are birthed
by Love,
the Love that is
God,
Love
that is within

you and me.

No thing,
however Beautiful or valuable,
can make us feel Truly Loved.
Only the Love
of
another Living Creation
can do that.

“No man is an island,
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
John Donne

poet John DonneOur deeper identity
lies in the fragile and subjective Nature
of the Human Heart.

Our need for Love
lies at the very foundation
of our Human existence.
Love

brings us happiness.
It
is the very essence

of our Nature.

Look to Love,
My Friends,
and you will dream.
and give your Heart
flight on wings.
Love
is the only thing
meant to be.

The Human Heart
is Home to us all.
 If Love in Life
is meant to be,
then the Heart
is the only thing
that will set you
free.

Cherish
what you feel
above all else
Forests of people
that surround us
day by day,
can dissolve and decay
the fiber of our will,
 our will to
Be.
Our need for Love
is the very essence
of our existence.

We are
the Human of Beings,
filled with Hope for Happiness
and Beautiful Dreams.
Since the Time
of our Sacred Birth,
expressions of Love
have freely flowed
from our Mother,
Nature,
all around us.

  But,
a Child

however old,
cannot survive without the nourishment
of Love.

Your happiness
as a Child,
depended directly upon
Love.
And,
Child of God,
it still does.

My Dear Friends,
the Love of
God
is always here.
HIS presence
is always within.
The LOVE we share
is the Love
of God.

It is one
and the same.

In this Lower World
Heaven resides
within your precious Heart.
Yes,
God Lives within.
And
His Love,
YOUR Love,
will never die.

There is
something Beautiful and unique
about you.
How fortunate we all are,
that we traveled through our Time
and this Space.
And our trace

in Time
no one can erase
or forget,
if
our Space
was filled with
Love.

Goodnight.

7 Powerful Mushrooms & Their Healing Benefits

Do you have your mushrooms diced through a stirfry or brewed into a superfood latte? There’s a way for everyone to enjoy the incredible health benefits of these fungi. Soils and environments where mushrooms grow are a rich source of providing essential minerals in our diet and the different varieties are packed with widespread and potent healing abilities. Since discovering our friend Nick Polizzi’s new series, Proven, we’ve taken our knowledge of science-backed, plant-based medicine to the next level. Here is just some of what we’ve discovered so far…

1. Reishi – The All-Rounder

If you’re looking for something that embodies the meaning of superfood, reishi is the mushroom that does it all. It has recently been the subject of many studies relating to cancer development and chemotherapy, and immunity benefits. As an adaptogen, reishi can help to alleviate fatigue and regulate stress levels, and there is also some research into how reishi can lower blood sugar and cholesterol while improving liver function.

How To Enjoy: This mushroom is mostly found in powdered or capsule form and can be added to warm teas or smoothies.

2. Shiitake – The Source of Cancer-Fighting Compound Lentinan

Perhaps you’ve had your daily dose of shiitake in a miso soup or wrapped up in a bao bun, but these flavor-rich shrooms have a powerful polysaccharide component – activating our immune system. Lentinan, a compound found in shiitake mushrooms, has been shown to slow down the growth of leukemia cells and stop them from spreading. In some countries, like China and Japan, injectable lentinan is even being prescribed to support the immune system in treatment programs.

How To Enjoy: You can buy shiitake mushrooms fresh or dried from your local produce store, farmer’s market, or Asian supermarket.

3. Oyster – The HIV Fighter

If you’re a first-time, at-home-mushroom farmer, this should be the first variety you reach for. Alongside being alarmingly easy to grow, oyster mushrooms, in all their geometric beauty, have been praised in the scientific community for their role in HIV research. Antiretroviral treatment (ART) in HIV patients has been known to raise both triglyceride and cholesterol levels. The antihyperlipidemic (prevention or counteraction of lipids accumulating in the blood) effects of oyster mushrooms have helped to return the body to homeostasis in both significant animal trials, and small-scale, preliminary human trials.

How To Enjoy: These mushrooms are best enjoyed fresh, and you’ll be able to find them wherever you get your produce.

4. Porcini – The Anti-Inflammatory

Risotto fans rejoice, the beloved porcini is one of the most nutritious mushies you can have on your plate. Alongside being low-calorie but nutritionally-rich and promoting good digestive health, these fungi are powerful when it comes to reducing inflammation – the precursor for disease. Scientists are exploring conditions that the anti-inflammatory compounds may aid, but one 2016 study using mice showed a significant decrease in inflammation markers, especially in asthma response.

How To Enjoy: Porcini mushrooms are most often found dried, but this process helps the fungus retain its benefits.

5. White Button – The Prostate & Breast Cancer Fighters

One of the most commonly found mushrooms (in your local supermarket) conveniently may help to address some of the most commonly found cancers. White button mushrooms may seem humble at first glance but have had powerful impacts – especially in reducing PSA levels in patients with biochemically recurrent prostate cancer. There have also been trials to suggest that the extract may prevent the recurrence of post-menopausal breast cancer.

How To Enjoy: White buttons are available in your local produce section, from farmers, or wherever you get your produce.

6. Chanterelle – The Metabolism Booster

Just as beautiful as the oyster, chanterelle mushrooms are loved in cooking for how the flavor is retained when sautéed in organic grass-fed butter. As luck would have it, they are also one of the most concentrated sources of B vitamins that nature can provide – including the hard-to-find B12. This water-soluble vitamin group is crucial for converting food into energy and keeping the nervous system thriving, and the high fiber content promotes good digestion.

How To Enjoy: Chanterelle’s can be bought fresh or dried – the latter rehydrates into a lovely tender shroom in broths and soups.

7. Black Truffle – The Feel-Good Response

Truffles have long been a sign of luxury and a refined palette, but there’s a reason we love these hard-to-come-by fungi. Truffles actually contain a ‘bliss molecule’ that is very similar in structure and function to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana. One study has found that anandamide, a compound found in black truffles, triggers a chemical reaction that enhances mood, changes appetite, and reduces feelings of depression and pain of the human brain. But don’t worry, truffles won’t go getting you high!

How To Enjoy: They can be found fresh, dried, or even in an oil form. Either way, they’ll retain the feel-good factor.

Between The Known And What We Believe / GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN / The Sacred Soldiers of our Society: Our Officers of the Peace in the Valley

Think
with your
Heart.

There is a thin veil
between the known,

and what we Believe.

And,
as we struggle

day by day
to survive
and thrive,

we can Pray
and form a bond
with the unknown.
.

And a Song begins to form,
a
 Song
birthed
by the Human Heart

and heard
all the World around.

It blends
with voices in numbers
untold,
as we join in endless Praise
to give Thanks to God
for our precious Gift
of Life,

and all the Love
that abounds.

Never
shall we be
all alone,
when our Hearts
join as one,
in Praise
of the Miracle of Life
and Love through the ages,
  as we grow,
and come to know
more and more
Blessings
abound.

In Time,
we will come to know,
the Miracles of Life
are sent with Love
to all of us
from God Above.
.

We are part of
the Music
of a Magical Moment.

And as we join
in the Song of Life
and listen to the Beautiful Music of
Nature
heard all around,
 it brings us to tears
to know that Life
can be so very Beautiful,
even though
circumstances
can make us forget,
and create regret
we should never
know.

Through all Eternity
all
we need ever
know,
is God’s
Love.

“In Oceans deep
My Faith will stand
And I will call upon
Your Name,

And keep my eyes above the waves.
When oceans rise,
my Soul will rest in
Your Embrace
.
For I am Yours and
You are mine
.”

Joel Houston, Matt Crocker, Salomon Lighthelm

To keep our Faith
in the Divine,
be generous
and be kind,
and keep your Heart
and your eyes
upon the Beauty of the Earth,

and on the Skies,
and upon your Sacred Birth.
For all the Love
which from our Birth

over and around us lies,
we need but give Thee
Thanks and Praise.

Every Blessing
is a Gift.
And every Birth,
a Blessing.

 Today,
let us be so grateful
for the Gift of Life,
grateful for the Beautiful People
all around us,
for the air we breathe,
for the connection we have
with the Divine Love
of God.

As the Beautiful Sky
is opening upon the Dawn
of each new Day,
and the energy of the Universe
pours Life
into every cell
of your precious Being,
stand within the moment,
to give Thanks
and Pray.

May God Bless
YOU
and your precious Family,
and your friends.
Ask the Divine
to cleanse the Sacred Soul
and keep us
on the Path to Fulfillment
of His Wishes and Dreams
for you.

May the abundance of God’s Love
fill your Sacred Heart,
and bring Joy
to you all.

Goodnight.

“Many night’s we’ve Prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our Hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood,
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there’s much to fear.
We were moving mountains
long before we knew we could.
There can be Miracles
When you Believe.
Though Hope is frail,
It’s hard to kill.
Who knows what Miracles
You can achieve
When you Believe.
Somehow you will
You will when you Believe.”
Stephen Schwartz

GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN

May God Bless and Keep
all of our Friends in law enforcement,
as they prove to be
such a Blessing to all of us.

Bouquets of Flowers never formed into words,

“Someone’s lost the plan
for the Brotherhood of Man,
and no one is trying to find it
anymore.
And the winds become a sigh
for those who hate and those who die.
And the waves are black
and slow along the shore.”
– Roger Whittaker

Evil must be mirrored in the face of Courage, or it will overwhelm the innocent.

Our ignorance leaves exposed
parts of the Heart
we keep covered
from our own
deeper selves.

We want so desperately
to stand on the
Purity of Truth.
But we often cower in silence
facing the mirror
of our own fear.

As we tumble
out of our dreams
and back
into what we assume
is reality,
we fall from the Grace
of our Beautiful Imaginings,
and into the moment
of never really knowing
what is real,
what is
True.

patrol_officer-b

Wonderful neighbors and friends.

So very many
of our precious children
knew not
the difference between
now and never,
this moment
and forever.

They came
to a moment in Time
paralyzed in thought,
no longer able to
make sense
of the waking
World –
drifting,
as it were,
in and out
of what
they dreamed of
and hoped for,
and the World
became
a living nightmare.

hispanic_female-b

You are the Guardians of the Gardens of Life.

We watched
as many drowned
in the deep end
of an ocean of drugs and violence,
between innocence and confusion,
between waves
of goodbye
lapping upon our shores.

Indifference and ignorance
stagnated into
Daylight Nights
that seemingly would never end,
and into days
of sufferance with no new
beginning.

“Peace has its victories,
but it takes
Brave men and women

to win them.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Fear
perpetuated itself
in our ignorance,
as we listened not
to the soft, still voices
that cried from within
the fragile Human Hearts
of our precious children.

And we allowed evil
to steal from us
everything that God and Man
held Dearest.

But Hope
rises with the dawn
of a new horizon,
a new awareness,
as we find new meaning
in old lyrics
of Life.

tree-dark-b

The mirror of our own fear.

My Dear Friends,
we are never really
far from the Light.
On the other side
of our spinning Globe,
it is always
on its way.

And as it spins
round and round and round,
we come face to face with fear,
in a seemingly
never ending dance
with destiny.
And we wait for the Light
of God’s Love,
unaware,
it is always
on its way,
or perhaps,
already
here.

officer-female-b

       The Light of God’s Love.

Evil
must be mirrored
in the face of courage,
or it will overwhelm
the innocent.

And our Children,
My Dear Friends,
are not for the taking.

If alone,
we have not
the courage and the strength,
the insight
and the wisdom,
to do battle
with the forces of darkness,
that for financial or other gain,
would destroy everyone
we truly Love,
then we must fervently Pray
for those
Towers of Strength
surpassing all others,
to come our way.

And God,
in His Wisdom,
provides.

officers-b

           Towers of Strength.

Yes.
God answers our
Prayers.

But then,
My Friend,
we MUST listen
to His Answer,
or ALL we will ever hear
is the cold and very lonely
sound of
Silence.

God
fervently
answers our Prayers.
He is with us.
And he Abides
within the Hearts and Minds
of so very many
wonderful neighbors and friends,
who have dedicated themselves
to protect
and save and serve,
and often
lay down their Precious Lives,
so we may live,
so that our children
may survive
and thrive,
and do so
without FEAR.

They are Gifts
that God and Mankind
have bestowed
upon us.

They are
the very Human
and very Courageous
Crusaders of our fragile Culture,
who willingly give their Lives,
so we may Live,
in Peace and prosperity,
in Freedom,
and with Honor,
with Dignity,
and with a Love
for Life.

They are the
Peace Officers
of our Nation,
who chose to rise above
the ordinary demands
of Life and Living.

Courage,
My Friend,
is a form of pure
Love.
The very word

we find the Purity of Truth

Yes,
there is a deep River
that flows through
our fragile Lives.
Its reach
is very long.
It is truly deep.
And it is
Blue.
So very Blue.

A River of Love
is flowing,
ever flowing toward
what abides Infinitely Deep –
and it flows
from the Vast Ocean
of God’s Love.

Lovingly and Courageously
dedicated to preserving

We THANK YOU.
And we truly
LOVE YOU
too.

And
we thank God

And we are
truly Grateful.

Our Prayers

the Peace in our Hearts

that you so courageously give
to us.

You reach out to us
each and every day,
and selflessly give
so that we

Grasping wild,
they tell evermore
of Love
that Blossoms like those

But bouquets of Flowers

can block the Sun.
A constant shadow
can lie evermore across
what we did not say
today.

God Loves us through the lives of those who live to protect us.

So let us begin
to express our Love,
the very deep and abiding Gratitude
that lives within,
to those who have
given so much,
to so many.

Children
can teach us
many things.
They can show us
that Love
is a simple thing.
It begins

and it never really
ends.

May God

who laid down their precious Lives
upon the Sacred Altar

He guards us,
illuminates our path
and Loves us,
