Every Flower That Is Unfolding / Life Hacks to Help You Lose Weight / Friday: Half Price Books and a Movie (Wonder)

The innate intelligence
of Nature
is far more powerful
and Beautiful

than we can ever
imagine.

Flowers
lift the Spirits
of the Earth.
They sustain Life
with all their
Splendor.

                        They sustain Life.

We can see
every Flower
that is unfolding
as it says
to every Living Thing,
“I Love You”.

And,
as the wind gently whistles
a pale blue sigh
though the lonely leaves
of all the trees,

it plays the music
of Life.

If we listen carefully
we can hear
the wishes of all

Creation
coming True.

To every Living Thing: “I Love You”.

Beauty
is far more than
what it seems.
The constant
motion of Love,
Beauty begins.
And it never really
changes
its meaning.

Life never really wants
more
than Love asks.
And what does Love
ask?
That you care,
that you share,
that
when you are needed,
you are there.

“Yes,
How many times
must a man look up

before he can see the sky?”
Bob Dylan

As the fingers
of our questions
reach
deep into the pockets
of our minds,
we may find
what we are truly
searching for:
our Love
for
every living thing,
and the Love
of God
in
every living thing,
and in us.

Nothing more
could we ask.

“But ask now the Beasts,
and they shall teach Thee;
and the Fowls of the air,
and they shall tell thee:
Or speak to the Earth,
and it shall teach thee:
and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto Thee.
Who knoweth not in all these
that the Hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
In whose Hand is the Soul
of every living thing,
and the breath of all Mankind.
– Job 12:10

                                 What does Love ask?

Watch the Sun
rise in the
eyes
of one you tell
of all the Love
in your Heart.

Yes,
there is Magic
in the moments
we marry,
that are divorced
of time.

We become
so blind
to the deeper
realities of Life.
The Beautiful Creation
you are
is more surprising
and Mysterious
than the feeble mind
of Mankind can
imagine.

Our transitory existence
goes far beyond
the surface dimensions
of Life.

God’s Truth is always joined with Love.

My Dear Friends,
Forgiveness,
Compassion
and Hope
can unleash Mysterious
and powerful forces
within.

Yes,
imperfection
is part of
the very fabric
of Human Life.

But,
Divine Perfection
may be found
in the abundance
of God’s Beauty
and Love.
And it is offered
to us in
each
precious moment
we are on
this Earth.

Knowledge
of God’s Truth
is always
joined
with Love.

Divine Perfection is found in the abundance of God’s Beauty.

The energy in Nature
is never lost,
never destroyed,
only transformed.
And
God’s Love
integrates Eternity.
Nothing
is ever lost,
no tear
is ever forgotten,
and no death
is ever
meaningless.

God
is neither beyond us
or outside of us.
He is
within us.
Each one of us
is a Child
of God.

“Do you not know that
YOU

are a Temple of God
and that the Spirit of God
dwells in you?”
1 Corinthians 3:16

Regardless
of fate’s fearless frown,
God’s Light
pours down.

Ultimate reality
is always Mysterious
and unfathomable.
God’s presence
everywhere
and in all things
is beyond
Human comprehension.
God’s Spiritual Presence
is deep within
the World of matter,
which He
created.

Discover
the Beauty,
the meaning
and the Joy
of your existence.

In the cold and lonely moments
of uncertainty,
the Words of our Lord
will warm your Heart
and free your Loving mind.

When shadows pale
the horizon of your Being,
the place to be
is behind your Loving smile,
and deep in your Faith,
trusting in
the patient Love
of your Creator.

Goodnight.

Beauty is far more than what it seems.

” I come to the Garden alone
While the dew is still on the Roses.
And the Voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me,
and He talks with me
,
And He tells me
I am His own.

And the Joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks,
and the Sound of His Voice

Is so sweet that the birds hush their singing.
And the Melody that He gave to me,
Within my Heart is ringing.

And He walks with me,
and He talks with me
,
And He tells me
I am His own.

And the Joy we share as we tarry there,
None other
has ever known.”
Brad Paisley

“If you want to learn to Love better,
you should start with a friend
who you hate.”

Life Hacks to Help You Lose Weight

By Jeffrey Kopman        read more

Several simple life hacks can make a huge difference. Changing your diet and getting regular exercise will always be the best way to get healthy, but these tricks can help too, and won’t take much time or effort.

Most people make many little mistakes throughout the day that can add up to form really unhealthy habits. What are some simple ways to correct these problems?

* Lack of exposure to a varied temperature, whole populations may be prone to develop diseases like obesity,” researchers at Maastricht University Medical Center in The Netherlands wrote in a study published in Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism earlier this year.

The researchers suggested that regular exposure to mild cold could be a simple way to help people lose weight.

*  You should be drinking lots of water. But the best way to do this and lose weight is to replace other drinks with water.

This cheap and effective trick will eliminate sugary and high calorie drinks and replace them with a healthier alternative, according to a study presented at the 240th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society.

“People should drink more water and less sugary, high calorie drinks. It’s a simple way to facilitate weight management,” Brenda Davy, Ph.D., senior author on the study said in a press release. “We found that over the course of 12 weeks, dieters who drank water before meals, three times per day, lost about 5 pounds more than dieters who did not increase their water intake.”

*  People who were given pedometers were more likely to participate in physical activity than those who did not, according to research from The International Association of Applied Psychology.

These devices make it easier to track how much exercise you’re getting and how many more steps you should be taking. Reaching your goals can be made with small adjustments throughout your day, something a pedometer will highlight — instantly.

 *  Using a standing desk for three hours a day will help you burn an extra 144 calories per day, according to a study from the University of Chester in the United Kingdom.

“This is the perfect way for any office-bound worker to achieve the typical New Year’s resolution of wanting to lose weight without changing anything else — how easy is that?” said Dr. John Buckley, Reader of Applied Exercise Science in Health and lead Lecturer for the University’s MSc in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, in a press release.

* One major cause of the obesity epidemic in America is an inability to control portion sizes. But this easy life hack can help you lose weight without even realizing it.

To make sure your portions are in control, use smaller plates, bowls or glasses. Research shows that people perceive the amount of food they’re eating differently based on the plate size they use.

One cup of food on a small plate looks like more than the same amount of food on a large plate, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

* In addition to changing the size of the plate you eat off of, consider switching the color of the plate as well.

Yes, even the color can affect how much food you’re eating, and either encourage or discourage overeating.

A Cornell University study found that eating food off a plate of contrasting color would help people reduce the amount they are eating. The study called this mind-over-matter practice “critical” for some people’s portion control.

* Here’s one to try right away: Slow down!

No, don’t slow down your exercise — slow down your eating. When you stuff your face full of food in mere moments, you’re not giving your body a chance to feel full until all the food is gone.

Similar to eating off of smaller plates, slowing down your pace will help you feel full without overeating. Eating too quickly leaves you full of more food than necessary.

Recently, researchers found that eating slowly led to increased fullness ratings in both normal-weight and overweight/obese participants, according to a study from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

 * It’s easy to get in the habit of paying for everything with a debit or credit card, just like it’s easy to get in the habit of eating and ordering too much food.

Paying with cash will serve as a psychological trick to keep your wallet full and your stomach just full enough.

People who pay with cards spent far more at Fast Food Restaurants ($4.50 compared to $7.00) than those who paid with cash, according to data from NerdWallet.

Similarly, people who paid with cash at grocery stores made smarter food choices, partially because they didn’t impulse buy junk food, according to a study published in the Journal of Consumer Research.

“If you want your children
to be intelligent,

read them Fairy Tales.
If you want them to be more intelligent,
read them more
Fairy Tales.”
Albert Einstein

 My eyes were open,
but
might just as well

have been closed.
The air was humming,
lilting with the music
of Laughter,
as the day
seemingly flew away,
and I,
in quiet contemplation
could not deny,
someone laughed and smiled and cried
and their anger died,
it just
passed away.

Then I laughed
and cried.
And in my tears
of Joy
I came to realize,
with every Joyful breath
we take,
we come back to
Life.

                          Back to Life.

Death
does not require
us
to die.
So many
have lived devoid
of feeling alive.
It is a sad reality
we cannot deny.
But,
we knew that,
you and I.

“The summers die
One by one
How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone.”
Herbert Kretzmer from Les Miserables

To be truly alive,
we must live in
another
Life.
WE
must come to live
with the beat
of another

Heart.

a wondrous moment that takes your          breath away. . .

Living is not
just taking a breath.
It is
a sigh,
  a wondrous
moment that
takes your breath
away.
It is,
in many ways,

tomorrow
lived
today.

“I don’t believe people are looking
for the meaning of Life
as much as they are looking
for the experience
of being alive.”
– Joseph Campbell

The past
is not in front
of you.
And tomorrow
never comes,
if what
remains of you,

is only
you.

“Let us celebrate Life and living,
for it is sacrilegious
to be ungrateful.
Let us play and be playful,
for it is sacrilegious
to be serious.
Let us celebrate imperfections
and make existence
proud of us,
for tomorrow is
death,
and this is an ode to life.
The anthem of the world.”
Kamand Kojouri

Our memories
dance ever gracefully,
as the Heart
remembers in December
how Love
kept us safe and warm,
when someone held you
tightly

during a Spring
storm.
.
Yes,
the reflection of

Life
is the mirror
of the mind,
but also
the echo

of a Heartbeat.
.
Our Sacred Memories
can bring us
back to Life,
so we can truly
reflect
upon that which
was,
and come to
better understand
what should be.
.
Laughter
is a delicious
Fruit of Love,
exposing
the Light of Life
to
parallel worlds
of logic,
and what is illogical
from the humorous
illusions of Living,
making the Truth
easier to forgive,
easier to see,
and as vibrant and alive
as you
or me.
.

“Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever spinning reel.

As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills
of your mind.”

Marilyn & Alan Bergman, Michel Legrand
.

If what is behind us,
is in front,
then the truth
of what could be

is never
seen.

“Life is fleeting,
like a passing mist.

        It is like trying to catch hold of a breath;
    All vanishes like a vapor;
everything is a great vanity.”
– Ecclesiastes 1:2

Life,
My Dear Friend,
is indeed fleeting,
like the tiny Humming Bird,
hovering briefly,

and then
– the moment flew away.

As you travel
this narrow path,
tread lightly,
and truly live,
Love,
and laugh.

Goodnight.

Our Lives demand that we give a Hoot!

Oscar Wilde “Humanity takes itself
too seriously.

It is the world’s original sin.
If the cave-man had known how to laugh,
History would have been different.”
Oscar Wilde

So Close That It Is Far Away / New American Plate / Friday: At School ALL Day

Like the Flower
that shatters the
Stone
,
Love can fracture
the Heart
hardened by the absence
of Joy.

Even the most fragile
has the power to overcome
the strongest force.

Love Majestic
in its simplicity,
opens wide the window
of Wisdom.

“Being deeply Loved by someone
gives you strength,
while Loving someone deeply
gives you courage.”
Lao Tzu

To speak
in the present tense,
and live
in this precious moment,
requires us to Love
what is all around,
to regret
not one minute,
and Love
what is in us
and is
us.

Tomorrow can fade to black or rise like a magnificent Rainbow.

Have you ever thought
of home?
When home
is so close,
that it is far
away,
and you
hold on
to your thoughts
so hard
you can never
stay
in the place
of your dreams,
that for which
you Pray.

Put on each day and wear it all day long.

And you pause
to ask,
“Am I
living in the embrace
of memories
never chanced to be?”
The colors
of our dreams
fade
onto sad deserted shores
of such memories
never brought to
Life,
never made.

 Beauty wakes pure authentic feelings.

The greatest threat
we face
is change,
but we cannot
survive
without it.

So put on
each day
and wear it
all day long.
And listen
very carefully
for the night bird
song.
Then give
your troubles
to the song,
not the singer.

There is serenity
in what we partake
with the guidance
of our Lord,
even when we fail
to contemplate
the incomprehensible.

Love opens wide the window of Wisdom.

Think
not on yourself.
Make not a
Stone
of what once was
your Heart.

My Dear Friends,
One

act of Mercy
can free the
Soul.
One fragile Flower
can shatter
the stone.

Tomorrow
can fade to
black,
or rise
like a magnificent
Rainbow.

                       Live in this precious moment.

No matter
where you run,
without the Love
of God,
you keep running
into yourself.
But With
His Precious Love,
God will raise you
Lovingly
above yourself.

Beauty
wakes pure authentic
feelings.
It touches the
Soul.
And the beauty
in your Heart
far exceeds that
of any Flower,
any setting of the Sun,
any sum of the parts
more than the
whole.

                    Love what is all around.

The bitter tragedy
of Human Life
is that it is too fragile,
a transitory, provisional parchment
of living and
being.

Yet,
to be sheltered in the warmth
of Heavenly Grace,
provides a Landscape
laced with Eternal Life
and Lovingness.

                     Beauty touches the Soul.

Let us pause
to reflect
upon our allotted time,
and give
Thanks.
We can shatter
the World of illusion
and become that
which God
truly wants of us:
to become
His Child
again.

Goodnight.

Put on each day and wear it.

“You are a Divine Being.
An all-powerful Creator.
You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt,
and within you dwells the infinite wisdom
of the ages and the sacred creative force
of All that is, will be and ever was.”

No single food can prevent cancer,
but the right combination of foods may help make a difference.
At mealtimes, strike a balance of at least
two-thirds plant-based foods
and no more than one-third animal protein.
This “New American Plate”
is an important cancer fighting tool,
according to the American Institute for Cancer Research.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in cancer-fighting nutrients
— and the more color, the more nutrients they contain.
These foods can help lower your risk in a second way, too,
when they help you reach and maintain a healthy body weight.
Carrying extra pounds increases the risk for multiple cancers,
including colon, esophagus, and kidney cancers.
Eat a variety of vegetables, especially dark green,
red, and orange vegetables.

Naturally occurring folate is an important B vitamin
that may help protect against cancers of the colon, rectum, and breast. You can find it in abundance on the breakfast table.
Fortified breakfast cereals and whole wheat products
are good sources of folate.
So are orange juice, melons, and strawberries.

Other good sources of folate are asparagus and eggs.
You can also find it in beans, sunflower seeds, and leafy green vegetables like spinach or romaine lettuce.
The best way to get folate is not from a pill,
but by eating enough fruits, vegetables,
and enriched grain products.

Cutting back on processed meats
like bologna, ham, and hot dogs will help lower your risk
of colorectal and stomach cancers.
Also, eating meats that have been preserved by smoking
or with salt raises your exposure to chemicals
that can potentially cause cancer.

Whether it’s the lycopene
the pigment that gives tomatoes their red color –
or something else isn’t clear.
But some studies have linked eating tomatoes
to reduced risk of several types of cancer,
including prostate cancer.
Studies also suggest that processed tomato products
such as juice, sauce, or paste
increase the cancer-fighting potential.

Green tea, may be a strong cancer fighter.
In laboratory studies, green tea has slowed or prevented
the development of cancer in colon, liver, breast, and prostate cells.
It also had a similar effect in lung tissue and skin.
And in some longer term studies,
tea was associated with lower risks
for bladder, stomach, and pancreatic
cancers.

Grapes and grape juice, especially purple and red grapes,
contain resveratrol.
Resveratrol has strong antioxidant
and anti-inflammatory properties.
In laboratory studies, it has prevented
the kind of damage that can trigger
the cancer process in cells.

Forever Is Not A Measure Of Time / To What End? / Friday Trip: Rollerland West & the Antique Mall

We become
impoverished by ignorance,
depraved by arrogance,
thinking we know
more
than we may be
aware of.

“But when He,
the Spirit of Truth,
comes,
He will guide you
into all the Truth.”
– John 16:13
.
We never fully realize
that the whole
is more
than the sum
of its parts,
that being lost
brings us the
opportunity
to be found,
that to be held
in the warm Embrace
of God
is to be nourished
by our Mother
Earth,
our hair brushed by the wind,
our eyes
fixed on the Truth
within,
revealed by
His Holy Word.
.

“Every
man and woman

are patterned of the whole,
be it of creed, race, age, religion,
that the whole is greater then the sum.”
– Kevin Patrick
.
When God
Lights up the Sky
with the setting of the Sun,
He is really
setting Fire to your
Heart.

Love always is, and will always be.

Yes,
God’s Love
is a fiery thing.
It illumines
even the darkest night,
casting no shadow
on Earthly things,
setting what is wrong
on the path
to make it
right.

Love
never blind,
can always see.
Shining like a Star,
the Light of our Love
glows ever brightly
from the East
of yesterday,
to the West
of tomorrow.

Close your eyes
that you may see,
Love
always is,
and will always
be.

                          Setting Fire to your Heart.

Forever is not
a measure of time,
for
you cannot measure
that which
does not exist.
Forever is a
Promise
that long after you are gone,
the Love in your Heart
will still exist.

“To whatever extent or way
we may speak of time flowing,
then to that extent time flows
from the future into the past.
The current of time brings the future
into the present
and the present
into the past.”

The coast
of our only,
often lonely,
isolated Island
pretends not to be,
to be no one.
It can appear bare,
needing to homeward
repair.

                          To the West of tomorrow.

Close your eyes
So that you may see.
Open your heart,
That you may fully
be.

And please remember,
when you call
His name,
God will never hesitate
to wrap you in Endless
Grace.
His Love
has no beginning
and no end.
His World
is without

and can be
yours,

Goodnight.

One picture can whisper more than a thousand words.

Are These Tears for Naught?

“To what end do we proceed
so boldly,

If all we are is chemical reactions?
And what World have you so deftly
sold me,

If you reduce me,
if
I have no Soul to touch?

No Heart to Love,
no evil to rise up above?
No Angels and no ghosts,
no real victories to toast?
If you believe that this is true
then I must ask,

To what end do you proceed?

No fire in our eyes,
no steel in our Hearts?
No magic in our songs,
are we just empty vessels?

Did I not feel your Love,
did I not feel your hate?

And did my Heart just not leap,
and did my Heart not
break?

And are these tears for naught,
and are these words in vain?

If this is all we are
then what have we to gain?

What of all the art and books,
music and poetry?

What of all our memories,
what of our hopes and dreams?

If they hold no value
then we hold no Faith
but greed.

So I must ask you,
to what end do we proceed?

To What End?”

Anthony DiSanteon

You basically don’t find Texas
Horned Lizards where there are
no harvester ants.
Carefully
fighting fire ants is
a suggested method of
conservation.

Do not broadcast
poison
all over your property.

There is no poison that affects
just fire ants alone.

If affects everything that lives,
including YOU!
and YOUR CHILDREN.

What do you think
causes CANCER?

We’re experiencing a cancer epidemic,
and evidence is growing ever stronger
that pesticide exposure is a
key contributor.

The best way to
treat fire ants is to treat each
mound with boiling water.
You may have to treat the mound
two or three times.

As with so many other animals,
the key to saving the
Horned Lizard
(and US)
is to

Save the Habitat.
