The Beautiful Tapestry of Life / What Children Need Most / Classes Resume on January 5

Dedicated
with all the Love
in my Heart
to our daughter
Annie,
born on a very special and Sacred
December 29.
On that precious day
we truly felt
the Love of God.

“The love of God
is greater far

than tongue or pen
can ever tell.”
– Frederick Lehman

“Blessed is he,
who in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak
through the valley of darkness,
for he is truly his Brother’s keeper
and the finder of lost Children.”
– Ezekiel 25:17

Love is the most Beautiful thing on Earth.

An Existential dimension
is woven into the Beautiful Tapestry of Life.

Existentialism is a realm of Philosophy
concerned with
the meaning of Human existence.
It looks closely at Love,
and the meaning of Life,
and at death.
It looks at how we deal with
and value
the meaning of our own
very brief existence.

baby-asleep-c

           I exist for you.

As parents of a precious child,
this existential dimension leads us
to questions
later in Life:

Who was I?
What was my purpose in Life?
Where was my existence directed?
What did I achieve in Life?
What was the meaning of my Life
to others?

But, in reflection,
as the parent
of a new born child,
your Heart simply said:

I am here.
I exist.
And I exist for you.
I will let nothing harm you.
My words will always welcome
and warm you.
Let me be everything you are.
Let me dry your tears
and always be beside you,
to guard you and guide you,
and Love you
until the end
of time.

lady-and-light

          It is your Light.

Such is the Love
of a Mother and a Father
for their precious
Child.

Such is the Love
of your Father in Heaven above
for you.

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee –
ye must be born again”
– John 3:5,7

My Dear Friends,
everyday
your child is born
again.
And the answers
to Life’s existential questions
may be found
in the very first moment
you held your newborn
child:

I am here.
I exist.
And I exist for you.

tree-in-cloud-ring-b

Let me guard you and guide you.

You can venture into
sophisticated aspects
of Love.

But this Love,
this Existential Love,
cannot be conveyed
in mere words.

It is
your shelter from the storm,
your light,
your freedom
from ever knowing
the night.

This Love will follow you
wherever you go,
because it never left you.
It will guide you
when you never have to
think about it.

My Friends,
the manner we choose

to Live and Love
becomes Life,
a truly beautiful
Existential existence.
It blossoms
as the Truth
and is the same Love
God feels for His Child,
YOU.

Or Love and Life
can become
a Lie.

many-colored-sunrise

It has been searching for you.

Love
is the simplest thing on Earth,
the most powerful,
and the most beautiful.

To find it
all we need do
is surrender
our Heart.
And to whom
do we surrender
our fragile Hearts?

To everyone.

Love existential,
My Dear Friends,
will find you.
It has been searching for you.
Look around.
You will see it
in the eyes of everyone,
and every Living thing
you meet.
You felt such Love
on the day
of your Child’s birth,
and on the day
your were born.

Everyone
has a Heart,
a Human Heart,
that longs to Love
someone.

Like you.

Goodnight.

    A truly beautiful Existential existence.

“Love is the only way to grasp another human being
in the innermost core of his personality.
No one can become fully aware
of the very essence of another human being
unless he loves him.

For the first time in my life
victorI saw the truth
as it is set into song by so many poets,
proclaimed as the final wisdom by so many thinkers.
The truth –
that Love is the ultimate and highest goal
to which man can aspire.
Then I grasped the meaning
of the greatest secret that human poetry
and human thought and belief have to impart:
The salvation of man
is through love
and in love.”

In this moment resides Infinity.

We have all felt
a profound longing
for our Spirit to be taken
back in time,
to be lifted up.

My Dear Friends,
you can
go back in time.
You can enter your mind
through the door
of your Heart.

You can go back
to when you
were simply and memorably
Happy.

You can take yourself
back to your childhood,
and take your child,
with you.

And you can stay there.

The moments we Love are held in our Hearts forever.

You do not need
to dream
that Joy will again
one day
come your way,
that it will last,
that it will stay.

In our past
lies a key
to our Future.

For we never
leave the moments we Love.
They are held
in our Hearts
Forever.

“She smiled and said with an ecstatic air:
“It shines like a little diamond”,
“What does?”
This moment.
It is round,
it hangs in empty space

I am Eternal.”
Jean-Paul Sartre, The Age of Reason

As you breathe slowly in
and breathe out,
quietly listen.
You can hear the beat
of your precious Heart.
There’s wonder here.

There is a Miracle
in the moment
you finally come to realize
you are really here,
you are alive,
you are a Miracle,
and a Child of God.

Let it bring tears
to add to your Joy.
Taste them as they fall
ever so softly from the Wellspring
of your Sacred Heart.

It is

Love is the dynamic

You are more than many things.

Look deeply into the reflection
of your own eyes.

You will see your Mother and Father.
You will see their likeness,
that you are an image

Open the door of your Heart

They still exist.
They are you.
And,
in a Spiritual way,
more real than real.
They still Live within
YOU.

The Reality of your being

There is no way to adequately describe

Our Sacredness

fragile cell of Human Life.
It can emerge
from the wasteland of living
and become our Consciousness

“It seems like something out of a movie,
but there’s some scientific evidence
that we actually carry the memories
of our ancestors with us
in our genetic code.

Our DNA determines our physical appearance,
and our predispositions to various illnesses,
and plays a role in our general disposition and skill set.
All of that has been passed down to us
through countless generations.
So why not memories?

It sounds far-fetched,
but there are still vast swaths of genetic code
whose purpose is unknown.
And the evolutionary advantages
of having memories passed down –
even one as simple as “FIRE BAD”,
are overwhelmingly clear.”

From our friends at Health.com:
non-drug remedies for anxiety

There are many safe non-drug remedies for anxiety, from mind-body techniques to supplements to calming teas. Some start working right away, while others may help lessen anxiety over time.

Chamomile:    If you have a jittery moment, a cuppa chamomile tea might help calm you down. Some compounds in chamomile (Matricaria recutita) bind to the same brain receptors as drugs like Valium.

You can also take it as a supplement, typically standardized to contain 1.2% apigenin (an active ingredient), along with dried chamomile flowers. In one study at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, in Philadelphia, patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) who took chamomile supplements for eight weeks had a significant decrease in anxiety symptoms.

L-theanine (or green tea):  Japanese Buddhist monks could meditate for hours, both alert and relaxed. One reason may have been an amino acid in their green tea called L-theanine, says Mark Blumenthal, of the American Botanical Council.

Research shows that L-theanine helps curb a rising heart rate and blood pressure, and a few small human studies have found that it reduces anxiety.

Valerian:  Some herbal supplements reduce anxiety without making you sleepy (such as L-theanine), while others are sedatives. Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is squarely in the second category. It is a sleep aid, for insomnia. It contains sedative compounds; the German government has approved it as a treatment for sleep problems.

Valerian smells kind of nasty, so most people take it as a capsule or tincture, rather than a tea. If you want to try it, take it in the evening – not before you go to work! Valerian is often combined with other sedative herbs such as hops, chamomile, and lemon balm.

Lemon balm:  Named after the Greek word for “honey bee,” lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), has been used at least since the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety, and help with sleep. In one study of healthy volunteers, those who took standardized lemon balm extracts (600 mg) were more calm and alert than those who took a placebo.

While it’s generally safe, be aware that some studies have found that taking too much can actually make you more anxious. So follow directions and start with the smallest dose. Lemon balm is sold as a tea, capsule, and tincture.

Exercise:  Exercise is safe, good for the brain, and a powerful antidote to depression and anxiety, both immediately and in the long term. “If you exercise on a regular basis, you’ll have more self-esteem and feel healthier,” says Drew Ramsey, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University.

The 21-minute cure:  Twenty-one minutes: That’s about how long it takes for exercise to reliably reduce anxiety, studies show, give or take a minute. “If you’re really anxious and you hop on a treadmill, you will feel more calm after the workout,” Dr. Ramsey says.

Passionflower:  In spite of the name, this herb won’t help you in love. It’s a sedative; the German government has approved it for nervous restlessness. Some studies find that it can reduce symptoms of anxiety as effectively as prescription drugs. It’s often used for insomnia.

Like other sedatives, it can cause sleepiness and drowsiness, so don’t take it – or valerian, hops, kava, lemon balm, or other sedative herbs – when you are also taking a prescription sedative.

Be careful about using more than one sedative herb at a time, and don’t take passionflower for longer than one month at a time.

Lavender:  The intoxicating (but safe) aroma of lavender (Lavandula hybrida) may be an “emotional” anti-inflammatory. In one study, Greek dental patients were less anxious if the waiting room was scented with lavender oil. In a Florida study, students who inhaled lavender oil scent before an exam has less anxiety – although some students said it made their minds “fuzzy” during the test.

In one German study, a specially formulated lavender pill (not available in the U.S.) was shown to reduce anxiety symptoms in people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Hold your breath!:  Ok, let it out now. We’re not recommending that you turn blue, but yoga breathing has been shown to be effective in lowering stress and anxiety. In his bestselling 2011 book Spontaneous Happiness, Andrew Weil, MD, introduced a classic yoga breathing technique he calls the 4-7-8 breath.

One reason it works is that you can’t breathe deeply and be anxious at the same time. To do the 4-7-8 breath, exhale completely through your mouth, then inhale through your nose for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of seven. Now let it out slowly through your mouth for a count of eight. Repeat at least twice a day.

Eat something, quick:  “Almost universally, people get more anxious and irritable when they are hungry,” says Dr. Ramsey, coauthor of The Happiness Diet. “When you get an anxiety attack, it may mean your blood sugar is dropping. The best thing to do is to have a quick sustaining snack, like a handful of walnuts, or a piece of dark chocolate, along with a glass of water or a nice cup of hot tea.”

In the long term, diet is key to reducing anxiety, says Dr. Ramsey. His advice: Eat a whole-foods, plant-based diet with carefully selected meat and seafood, plenty of leafy greens (such as kale) to get folate, and a wide variety of phytonutrients to help reduce anxiety.

Eat omega-3s

You know fish oils are good for the heart, and perhaps they protect against depression. Add anxiety to the list. In one study, students who took 2.5 milligrams a day of mixed omega-3 fatty acids for 12 weeks had less anxiety before an exam than students taking placebo.

Experts generally recommend that you get your omega-3s from food whenever possible. Oily, cold-water fishes like salmon are the best sources of the fatty acids; a six-ounce piece of grilled wild salmon contains about 3.75 grams.

Other good choices: anchovies, sardines, and mussels.

Trusted guide to mental, emotional and social Health:

High-fiber, cancer-fighting foods

Whole grains: whole-wheat pasta, raisin bran, barley, oatmeal, oat bran muffins, popcorn, brown rice, whole-grain or whole-wheat bread

Fruit: raspberries, apples, pears, strawberries, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, mango, apricots, citrus fruits, dried fruit, prunes, raisins

Legumes: lentils, black beans, split peas, lima beans, baked beans, kidney beans, pinto, chick peas, navy beans, black-eyed peas
Vegetables: broccoli, spinach, dark green leafy vegetables, peas, artichokes, corn, carrots, tomatoes, Brussels sprouts

Simple ways to add more fiber to your diet:
– Use brown rice instead of white rice
– Substitute whole-grain bread for white bread
– Choose a bran muffin over a croissant or pastry
– Snack on popcorn
instead of potato chips
– Eat fresh fruit such as a pear, a banana, or an apple (with the skin)
– Have a baked potato, including the skin, instead of fried potatoes
– Enjoy fresh carrots, celery, or bell peppers with a hummus or salsa, instead of fried chips
Use beans instead of always using ground meat in chili, casseroles, tacos, and even burgers (bean burgers can taste great)
Drink plenty of water. Fiber absorbs water so the more fiber you add to your diet, the more fluids you should drink. Water is also essential for fighting cancer. It stimulates the immune system, removes waste and toxins, and transports nutrients to all of your organs.

            Let your Spirit take you.

The greatest Blessings of mankind
are within us.
They are within our reach.

Far, far beneath
the Splendor and the Majesty
of this moment,
we hide our Hearts
in a shadowy existence.
But
there is no darkness
when we choose
to banish the night.

My Dear Friends,
there is a Light,
bright shining like a Star,
that belongs to you.
You cannot see it
by gloom of night.
But wait.
With your fervent Prayer
it will unfurl its Splendor
and burst into sight.
And there
will be your delight.

Yes,
there is a morning
in every moment
that brings a Love story
to Life.

There is a Star that belongs to you.

Gently,
close your tired eyes,
and surrender to the Heart
that truly possesses you.
In the darkness
of your fears

a Light Divine.

Your mind
can never begin the journey
to be free,
until you leave
the vexing years
that knew you.

Let your Spirit take you
where your fears
cannot bind you,
to where your dreams begin:
to where your Heart sings
and you savor the flavor
of every single moment
Love and Life can bring.

                  Peace attend Thee

There is a harmony
only you can write.
It will take you
to where you long to be,
to where the mind
fragrantly forgets,
to where the Heart
takes flight.

And
if you look down
upon your own Creation,
the only explanation
you will have found
is the Love that abounds
all around.

And if you look
even deeper,
within your very Human Heart,
you will find YOU
hiding deep inside.

The future is the past dreaming.

Yes,
begin a new journey!
Leave all thoughts of the World
you knew before.
Let your Spirit take you
where you so long to be:
in Love with Love,
and in Love with Life,
and at last
free.

“Ninety-nine percentfuller
of who you are
is invisible
and
untouchable.”

Buckminster Fuller

Always,
will we be
frozen in time,
until the day we realize,
tis’ the Heart that truly sees,
not the finite
mind.

Love is:
a Peace
that longs to attend Thee,
an acceptance
that this moment
harbors Infinity,
a knowing
God will send Thee
visions of His Light,
to pierce that darkest dark
of every night.

wait-for-me

              Begin a new journey!

So sleep My Friend
and Peace attend Thee
and Pray to God
to send Thee
His ever present Light,
so that you may truly see
through the lens of Love
there is no
night,
no unfeeling cold,
no darkness to stir and wake
the imagination to fright,
to silently abandon your defenses
and heighten sensations
that steal from you
every day and night.

You can Live
as you’ve never Lived before,
and Love everyone
and every Living thing
in sight.

spectrum

Love is
the most Beautiful thing
we can experience.
Bring your Love Story
to Life,
and be unafraid
to brave the Dawn.

The Human Heart
has its own gravity,
and the center of gravity
is the Heart’s desire.

The future
is the past
dreaming.
Let your Dream
begin.

Goodnight.

freedom

Be unafraid to brave the Dawn.

“You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep,
‘Cause they’d fill the open air
And leave tear drops everywhere.

youngYou’d think me rude
But I would just stand and stare
I’d like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay
 awake when I’m asleep
‘Cause
everything is never
as it seems

      This moment harbors Infinity.

Social media
is great for sharing personal experiences,
but it has a strong negative influence
on our lives,
as it prevents us
from actually experiencing life!

The lack of face to face communication
puts a toll on our lives,
making it harder for us
to really communicate
with other people.

When you gather with friends
there are good times,
which are not going to come back.

Encourage
your children to leave
the phone at home.
Give them a chance
to truly live
Life.

“Success consists of goingwinston
from failure to failure
without loosing
enthusiasm.”

From Fox4 News.com comes another beautiful story of Love and Compassion. An Arlington mother got more than she expected after she was pulled over. Instead of writing the woman a ticket for broken car seats, the officer bought new ones.

Alexis Jones says she knew her car seats were in really bad shape and was waiting until black Friday to go out and get new ones. But the Arlington police officer got to her first.

Jones was with her 3-year-old daughter and her 9-month-old son, and Arlington Police Officer Brandon Gilbert was ready to write her a ticket.

“The car seat was broken. It was a very old car seat,” the officer said. “And there really wasn’t any way of restraining the child that was inside the car seat because it was broken.”

Jones already was trying to manage a new job and a new apartment. The dash cam shows the officer putting the car seat on the hood of the patrol car and helping her with it.

“I thought about taking enforcement action,” Gilbert admitted. “But then I thought that’s not gonna help her.”

But it wasn’t until he got home that Officer Gilbert decided he needed to respond – not as an officer, but as a fellow parent.

Officer Gilbert brought two big boxes of car seats and stuffed animals,” Jones said. “And I was just in total shock. It was just it was amazing, actually.”

Gilbert used his own money to buy two car seats. He brought them over to her house and showed her how to install them.

“Lord willing I don’t, but if I was to get in a car accident, they would be safe,” Jones said. “I just feel so much better every time I drive my car.”

It was an act of Love and Kindness that Jones says made all the difference in the world.

If you can further assist Alexis Jones please contact Officer Gilbert at the Arlington Police Department. And may God Bless You.

Thank you officer Brandon Gilbert.
We Love you too.

“If I could be a little girl again
This is how I wish it would have been.
I’d watch slowly the flowers grow,
I’d watch slowly the rivers flow,
If I could be a little girl again.

If I could be a little girl again
This is how I wish it would have been.
I’d watch the sunrise every day,
and see the sunset come what may.
If I could be a little girl again.

If I could be a little girl again
This is how I wish it would have been.
I’d kiss the birds, and love the bees
And make sure that I climbed every tree.
If I could be a little girl again.

If I could be a little girl again
I’d never miss a beat of life
Until the Lord says your mine tonight,
Then with eyes glowing alive and bright
I’d be that little girl again.”

Savor the flavor of every single moment.

“Nothing comes from violence
and nothing ever could.
For all those born
beneath an angry star

Lest we forget
how fragile we are.

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star,
like tears from a star

On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are,
how fragile we are.”

The experiences of those who preceded us
in our ‘dead poets’,
help you walk through life.
Today’s society is us ‘poets alive’.
Do not let life pass you live without that.”
