“In the hearts of the children
a pure love still grows

Like a bright star in heaven
that lights our way home

Like the flower
that shattered the stone.”

The heart, but not with eyes, will see.

You are a Flower picked to give Hope To another.

Dedicated to the Love

And thousands of other children
Gathered to the Sacred Heart of God.

The Cathedral of Your Heart

The Majesty of coming to be
Is rarely given for us to see.
Mirrored in each other,
Through eyes
That more than see,
We are given, one to the other,
To look at in wonder,
You and me.

And seeing what we believe
To be the Majesty of being,
We find ourselves
Looking outward,
To see what lies within.

And discover in ourselves,
In the endlessness of creation,
That we are far more
Than we could ever discover,
As we look through
The eyes of Love,
Through the Heart of another.

Don't poison your children with pesticides! Use natural methods (and BIRDS).

Don’t poison your children with pesticides! Use natural methods (and the BIRDS).

Love
Is a journey of discovery,
To find ourselves
Deeply embedded
In the Heart of our Creator,
And alive forever.

So when your heart has been
Too Lonely,
And the night has been too long,
And sufferance seems everlasting,
Thirst from dusk to dawn.
Oh, when the darkness

Never gives in,
And your dreams

Are the only Love left in life,
And there is seemingly no end,
For awake you cannot begin.

Love, whose Seed you are,
Cradled in the Warmth of God’s Heart,
Will find you one day
Blossom in His Spring.

You are a Flower,

And R. J. is down. And it's One, Two, Three - your out.

And R. J. is down. And it’s One, Two, Three – your out. The new dog wrestling champion is . . . LEXI?

Who in a Moment of His Time,
Is picked to give Hope
To another,
Who can only dream.

Child of so many restless nights,
Listen, as He softly whispers your name.
Your Father in the Heavens above
Loves you and worships you,
As you do your child,
In the Cathedral of your Heart.

You are the beautiful child of His Dream,
In His Own Image were you made,
Cradled in the Dawn of His Light,
And with His Breath, given Life.

For you the day began,
For you the Earth was formed,
Shaped into magnificent being.
Love has brought you here,
And Love will keep you near
To the very Heart
Of God.

It doesn't get much better than this.

It doesn’t get much better than this.

When the tide of your trust rises
To claim your faith in the Lord,
And drown the tender need
From which you were born,
The Grace of God
Will lift your dreams,
And you,
Beyond.

Rejoice in your Heart,
For Love
Is to be aware
That Life
Is a Beautiful Song,
And this, my friend,
Is just the dawn.

Now, in Faith carry on,
Sing His Song,
All day long.
In your trusting eyes,
He will always be strong.

What’s Missing from Multi-Vitamin Supplements?
By Elizabeth Wagner, ND
read more

Scientists at Harvard Medical School have advised all adults to take a multi-vitamin supplement to help prevent suboptimal levels of nutrients that may contribute to the onset of diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis. For example, suboptimal levels of folic acid and vitamins B6 and B12 are a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and cancer of the colon and breast. Deficient levels of calcium and vitamin D can contribute to osteoporosis and the loss of bone mass. While multi-vitamins can help to prevent certain illnesses, research indicates that abundant intake of fruits and vegetables can prevent some of the major diseases of aging. Studies at the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition in Los Angeles, have reported that higher intake of fruits and vegetables is associated with a reduced incidence of many common forms of cancer.

The World Cancer Research Fund published an extensive review of the

effects of vegetable and fruit consumption on cancer risk. After reviewing hundreds of studies, this not-for-profit group determined conclusively that vegetables and fruits protect against cancer. The panel noted that consumption of at least five servings a day of vegetables and fruits was associated with an approximately 50% reduced risk for cancer compared to the risk associated with consuming only one or two servings. The panel also noted that the cancer-preventive effects of fruits and vegetables were dose dependent, with in-creased intake conferring greater protection.

Compelling evidence likewise suggests that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can lower the risk of heart disease, the leading cause of mortality and morbidity in the US and worldwide. People who consume more fruits and vegetables often have a lower prevalence of important risk factors for cardiovascular disease, including hypertension, obesity, and type II diabetes. Regular and frequent consumption of fruits and vegetables has also been shown to lower the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, atherosclerosis, and hypertension.

American dogs can become a little “Spoiled”.

A large study conducted in Finland examined the effects of dietary fruit, berry, and vegetable intake on cardiovascular mortality and all-cause mortality in men. More than 2,000 Finnish men participated in the study. Men with the highest consumption of fruits, berries, and vegetables had a 41% lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease and a 44% lower risk of all-cause death than men who consumed the least amount of fruits, berries, and vegetables. The study authors concluded, diets that are rich in plant-derived foods can promote longevity.”

Fruits and vegetables not only contain beneficial vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, but also provide a wealth of phytonutrients. These plant-based compounds likely are responsible for some of the protective effects of fruits and vegetables. Phytonutrients are versatile and powerful agents that help to modulate disease risk through a variety of mechanisms. For example, the glucosinolates in broccoli have been associated with a reduced risk of cancer, particularly of the lung and gastrointestinal tract. These compounds appear to offer protection by stimulating the liver’s Phase II enzymes, which are powerful detoxifiers of chemical carcinogens. By contrast, the polyphenols present in olive extract promote health through a different mechanism. In humans, olive polyphenols have been shown to increase the resistance of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) to oxidation. Oxidized LDL is a significant risk factor for the development of heart disease and atherosclerosis.

Pomegranate Promotes Heart Health

The pomegranate is a widely cultivated tropical fruit that is native to Asia. Valued throughout history as a symbol of health and fertility, pomegranates contain many seeds enclosed in juicy red pulp and covered in a tough red rind. Pomegranate appears to be one of the most powerful sources of antioxidants among dietary plants, demonstrating a number of actions that can help prevent disease and aging. Ellagic acid, a polyphenol compound found in pomegranate, has been associated with antioxidant, anti-cancer, and anti-atherogenic biological properties. Pomegranate polyphenols have been found to protect LDL against cell-mediated oxidation.

It is beautiful. And, Dr. A had too much coffee.

Yes, it is beautiful. And, Dr. A had too much coffee.

High blood pressure often is a silent yet dangerous condition that increases the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Researchers in Athens, Greece, investigated the effects of the Mediterranean diet – rich in fruits, vegetables, and olive oil—on blood pressure in adults. Over 20,000 subjects who had never been diagnosed with hypertension participated in the study. Adherence to the Mediterranean diet was significantly associated with lower levels of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. By contrast, intake of cereals, meat and meat products, and ethanol was associated with higher levels of arterial blood pressure. A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and olive oil has been demonstrated to promote healthy blood pressure levels.

Chinese researchers investigated the effects of dietary intake of lycopene and other carotenoids on the prevention of prostate cancer in men.

Information on food consumption, including fruits and vegetables, was gathered using an interview and questionnaire. The researchers found that prostate cancer risk declined with increasing consumption of lycopene, alpha carotene, beta-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, lutein, and zeaxanthin.

Consumption of tomatoes, pumpkin, spinach, watermelon, and citrus fruits was also associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer. The dose-response relationships were also significant in this study, suggesting that increasing one’s intake of lycopene and other carotenoid-rich vegetables and fruits may offer protection from prostate cancer.

10 Common Habits That Seriously Damage Your Kidneys

By Amy Goodrich in NaturalNews.com

Dr. A is desperate for company.

Dr. A is desperate for company.

Here’s a list of 10 common habits that put a lot of pressure on your kidneys and can cause serious damage over time.

1.    Not Drinking Enough Water
2.    Too Much Salt In Your Diet

As a good rule of thumb, no more than 5 grams of salt should be eaten on a daily basis.

3.    Frequently Delaying The Call Of Nature

Retaining urine on a regular basis increases urine pressure and can lead to kidney failure, kidney stones, and incontinence.

4.    Kick The Sugar Habit

People who consume 2 or more sugary drinks a day are more likely to have protein in their urine.

5.    Vitamin And Mineral Deficiencies

Now, that's an interesting Leaf.

Now, that’s an interesting Leaf.

Eating a clean, whole food diet full of fresh vegetables and fruits is important for your overall health and a good kidney function. Many deficiencies can increase the risk of kidney stones or kidney failure. Vitamin B6 and magnesium, for instance, are super important to reduce the risk of kidney stones.

An estimated 70 to 80 percent of Americans isn’t getting enough magnesium, so there may be a good chance that you are one of them. Click here to learn more about magnesium deficiencies.

6.    Too Much Animal Protein

Over consumption of protein, especially red meat, increases the metabolic load on your kidneys. So more protein in your diet means your kidneys have to work harder and this can lead to kidney damage or dysfunction over time.

And look at this Beauty!

And look at this Beauty found in our Butterfly Garden! The world is full of God’s living art, if you do not murder everything around you, including your family, with pesticides. What do you think causes cancer?

7.    Sleep Deprivation

Chronic sleep deprivation is linked to many diseases and kidney diseases are also on the list. During the night your body repairs damaged kidney tissue.

8.    Coffee

Caffeine can raise blood pressure and put extra stress on your kidneys. Over time excessive consumption of coffee can cause damage to your kidneys. A couple of cups will provide 60 antioxidants. Many more than that and you, too, will be photographing leaves.

9.    Painkiller Abuse

Way too many people take painkillers for their small aches and pains, while there are many all-natural, safe remedies available. Excessive use or painkiller abuse can lead to severe damage of liver and kidneys.

10.  Alcohol Consumption

027

Mosquito problem? NO. But we must feed the birds the main course. They then have mosquitoes for (burp) dessert. Mosquitoes are the DEADLIEST creatures on this planet!

Alcohol is actually a legal toxin that puts a lot of stress on our kidneys and liver. Please see this weblog dated 02/26/14 – What To Tell Your Kids About Alcohol (go to: News & Events/Newsletters/Digital Newsletters.) You will be shocked to discover what alcohol really is. (Hint: put a long straw in the septic tank and you will get the same effect!)

Love’s Never Ending Journey / Signs of Nutritional Deficiencies / Love’s Gentle Way / Trip – T.B.A.

“When I was a child
There were flowers that bloomed in the night
Unafraid to take in the light
Unashamed to have braved the dark.

Though I may not know the answers
I can finally say I am free.
And if the questions led me here
Then I am who I was born to be.”

In Momentary Sunlight.

We are all from the Garden Of God’s Bountiful Love.

I believe that the nature of our reality
leads us to a threshold of understanding.
That Love is all there is.
– T. S. Eliot

As we explore the nature of this existence,
Of our being,
We may find reality to be
Incomprehensible, perplexing, unbelievable.
In our minds,
And in this space,
We may think we have arrived,
Before we started.
Perhaps, we have.
Or
Is this Love’s
Never ending journey?

Our timeless friend, poet and philosopher,
T. S. Eliot
Posits this poetically:

“We shall not cease from exploration,
and the end of all our exploring
will be to arrive where we started
and know the place for the first time.”

Hands

Have we arrived before we started? Or is this Love’s never ending journey?

In looking back,
We remember
The beautiful lives
We have been privileged
To discover
On this perilous
Journey of life.
And we may come
To understand
Why so many people
Along the way,
Loved us so much,
And why we came
To Love each other.

Poets and writers of song have always known why.
They have understood
The true nature of our reality.
They have felt, deep inside the fiber of their being,
That Love draws us together,
Enables us to survive,
Defines us,
Keeps us vibrant and alive,
Keeps the planets in their orbits
And the stars twinkling above.

“Humankind cannot bear very much reality.”
T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets

Clouds

This Love has no beginning. It has no end.

Such is the nature of the Love
We feel coming from us.
But in reality,
Love flows through us,
Unconditional, Pure in Spirit, Everlasting,
From Heaven Above.

It takes a lot of Love
To overcome the evil we meet along the way.
But Love, only Love, can prevail.
Somehow, I feel that we do as we should,
When we reach deep inside our hearts
To feel the pain of others,
And understand that a vision of Goodness
Is the only thing that will sustain us.
Now I know there is no greater Good,
Than to give Love from oneself to another,
To someone that Love
Seems to have abandoned.

God could have stayed outside your Heart. But in He came.

God could have stayed outside your Heart, but in He came.

There is enough Goodness in one heart
To fill another.
There is enough Love in every heart,
In your heart,
To give a flower of God’s Love
To everyone you meet.
Together, we form a Breathtakingly Beautiful,
Fragrant Bouquet,
From the Garden
Of God’s Bountiful Love.

These Flowers, from Heaven Above,
Are a Gift from God,
To everyone, everywhere
And everything below.

The Story of God’s Love is very plain to read.

“Love is most nearly itself
When here and now cease to matter.”
T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets

Your heart is incredibly beautiful,
And the most fascinating part about you.
Share the beauty with everyone,
And every living thing around you.
For we are all one and the same,
Here and nowhere in the same moment.

“Before I formed you in the womb,
I knew you.
Before you were born,
I set you apart for my holy purpose.”
Jeremiah 1:5

The Story of God’s Love
Is very plain to read,
Each page begins with you,
And it will never end.

The Story tells the Truth.
Your Love was formed
In the Mind of God,
Love here, now and everlasting.
So close your eyes and feel the Warm Embrace.
Open your arms and feel your Heart race,
Let it beat wild and free.
For the Heart that beats within
Is a Heart not even yours.
It belongs,
And has always belonged,
To another.

Brief at best,
The lives we live
Are God’s Bequest.
And the story of our lives,
Is no story at all,
Without feeling and caring,
Without sharing
The Everlasting,
Stunningly Beautiful
Gift of Love
From God.

Physical Signs of Nutritional Deficiencies
from our friends at NaturalNews.com

No ordinary Turkey and I.

No ordinary Turkey am I.

Heart: Irregular heart beat may indicate a magnesium deficiency. High blood pressure can be remedied with lots of ascorbic acid and L-lysine daily. General heart health can be bolstered with CoQ10 or Ubiquinol.

Here‘s a comprehensive coverage of heart health herbs and supplements for heart health. And there’s of a breakdown of the herbs here.

Thyroid: A swollen throat, poor or slow digestion, and general sluggishness from hypothyroidism may be improved by adding iodine supplements or iodine-rich foods from seaweed.

Red scaly skin on face near nose: This may be a sign of vitamin B2 (riboflavin) deficiency. Supplement with B-complex vitamins or organic bee pollen granules. Make sure you’re eating enough whole grains, eggs and dairy. Plant-based foods include spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, avocados and nuts. B2 helps activate the other B vitamins.

Mouth and tongue: Pale fissured tongueiron deficiency; sore painful fissured tongue – vitamin B3 (niacin) deficiency; sore burning tongue and lips or lips peeling – vitamin B2 deficiency; painful sore tongue with a smooth appearance – folate (B-9) deficiency – avoid synthetic folic acid.

Nails: White spots or ridges usually indicate low zinc. Soft or brittle nails usually demonstrate a magnesium deficiency.

I think the Goat wants out.

I think the Goat wants out.

Low energy, anemia: Vitamin B12 is the vitamin for these signs. Make sure that you use methylcobalamin sublingual tablets or skin patches only and include the other B vitamins as well.

Skin: Cold hands doesn’t always indicate a “warm heart.” It can indicate hypothyroidism (iodine deficiency) or low magnesium levels. Excessive spontaneous bleeding can be from insufficient vitamin C and/or vitamin K.

There are different quality levels of vitamin and mineral supplements. But if you visit the orthomolecular website, you’ll see how the right supplements at the right amounts can replace pharmaceuticals. Sources for this include:

NaturalNews Press Release: A Texas patent inventor has launched a collection of 3D-printable objects that function as key components in a non-electric, home-based food grow system that can be operated for pennies. The story of the invention – as well as the 3D-printable parts – is available at the non-profit www.FoodRising.org website.

The Food Rising Mini-Farm Grow Box grows enormous quantities of food without using electricity or soil. It requires no weeding and uses no pumps, motors or complex parts of any kind. It grows highly-nutritious, mineral-rich foods using about 1/20 the water of conventional agriculture and about half the space of soil gardening.

My hero, Mike Adams, also known as the “Health Ranger,” developed the system based on the work of Professor Kratky and gives away the 3D-printable parts via downloadable files at FoodRising.org. Adams is also distributing DIY videos that instruct people on how to build their own systems using inexpensive parts and common tools.

All the 3D-downloadable parts are available now at:
http://www.foodrising.org/Downloads-Food-Pro…

Pre-built systems are offered for sale and the t-glase filament needed to print out the parts is also available at www.SupplySource.com.

“The Maker movement is about empowering people with innovative, grassroots solutions that can substantially improve the quality of their lives,” Adams explains. “This Food Rising Mini-Farm Grow System allows people to produce their own mineral-rich, better-than-organic foods for mere pennies.”

AROUND SCHOOL 005As I enter her garden,
I find myself all alone.
The place I gently lay her down to sleep,
I marked with my heart,
Shaped in stone.

The softness of her gentle eyes

The way goodbye reveals itself,
To be, to stay alive,
To give those left behind
The will to live,
To thrive.

Ordinary happiness is a feeling that has an object
– for example, a happy event, winning a prize,
or wearing pretty new shoes.
But, If the issue of your happiness ceases to be an issue,
You may find it.

The problem with ordinary happiness is that it never lasts.
A happy event is soon followed by a sad one.
Most of us go through life looking for things to “make us happy.”
But this “fix” is never permanent,
so we keep looking.

We think of happiness
as something that floats
in and out of our lives.

The Rev. Dr. Nobuo Haneda,
a Jodo Shinshu priest and teacher,
said that “If you can forget your individual happiness,
that’s happiness defined.
If the issue of your happiness ceases to be an issue,
that’s the happiness”.

One word for “happiness”
from the early Pali texts is piti,
which is a deep tranquility.

Perhaps,
We have assumed it was
something else.

And now, for my students in Philosophy, I share a bit of knee-deep philosophical reflection from
Franklin F. Wolff, an American mystic, poet, philosopher, and mathematician, who combined an extraordinary intellect with profound mystical insight and a mathematically induced predilection toward meticulous analysis. Wolff devoted himself to the goal of transcending the normal limits of human consciousness. (So here I sit in front of a variety of references, including a wictionary, pictionary, yes, let’s make it a game, dictionary and what in the world is that-icktionary. You may need help too.)

Please do not return to class and tell me you thought so deeply about this and now your head hurts, again. My job is get you to use your head for something other than testing new shampoos. Remember, according to sub atomic particle physics, if you stop thinking, you, along with the rest of the Universe, may consequentially not exist. Einstein wondered if the moon would really disappear if everyone stopped looking at it – seriously!  See you on the flip side of reflection.

If you survive reading this, I will award you an Honorary Nth Degree, a mathematically specious solecism, to convey the message that your thought processes have been raised to an absurdly high level (or possible that you are confused too!). Enjoy . . . .

Wolff graduated from Stanford University in 1911 with a major in mathematics and minors in philosophy and psychology. He then went on to Harvard graduate school to study philosophy, where he was particularly influenced by the study of Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason. As a result of his philosophical studies, Wolff became convinced of the probable existence of a transcendent mode of consciousness that could not be comprehended within the limits of our ordinary forms of knowledge. Prior to completing his degree at Harvard, he returned to Stanford to teach mathematics. read more here

OK. Sit down and get really comfortable. If you fall asleep, it’s alright. I did. Now I shall attempt to help you navigate through the verbage (verbiage is, perhaps, more technically correct, but that’s verbage too). The overabundance or superfluity of words may heighten your anxiety, but keep focused. Pretend you are on safari and the machete of your mind is clearing a path. Set your alarm clock and wake up from time to time, and continue this voyage into the unbelievable and unknown. Clutch the arms of your chair, breathe deeply and hang on!

The Double Slit Experiment is an experiment in Quantum Physics in which the effects were shown by Thomas Young way back in 1803, but since has been proven even more strange by many others. It’s power truly reveals a mind-altering view of the world and how we affect it. read more

The Double Slit Experiment shows us that
we create reality
just by observing it.

Subatomic material will take every possible path at the same time as a wave when not observed. When observed, the particle collapses down to one point as a particle. What can this mean about us? Do we all have powers that we are not aware of? What it does seem to prove is that we create reality by observing it.

With that depth of understanding, Franklin Merrell-Wolff postulates the following: (Here is where you take a really deep breath.)

“Reality is inversely proportional to appearance”. In other words, the degree of the true substance or reality is the inverse or opposite of the degree of ponderability.

Lazer Tag was everyone's favorite.

Lazer Tag was everyone’s favorite.

Thus, concrete objects of experience, which have a high degree of ponderability, are the least substantial. Subtle or abstract objects of experience, on the other hand, which are less ponderable, partake of a higher degree of substantiality and reality.

The effect of this insight upon Wolff was an acceptance of substantial reality, where the senses reported emptiness, and a greater capacity to realize unreality in the material given through the senses. (Hang in there. It gets deeper.)

Thus, Liberation does not necessarily involve any new object of experience or change in the content of consciousness. To seek such a new object or experience, therefore, is a mistake. Genuine Realization, therefore, is a recognition of Nothing – but a Nothing that is absolutely Substantial and identical with the SELF. (You may need a nap about now.)

It is a nondual knowledge of identity that transcends space and time.

(Here is where you may decide to be happy and major in History. Then you can have faith that the past really happened and was not an illusion. You are going to need comforting thoughts.)

Some of the effects Wolff experienced were:
(1) A shift in the base of reference in consciousness, transplanting the roots of identity from the relative to the transcendent,
(2) a transformation of the meaning of self – to a space-like identity with the entire field of consciousness and all its contents,
(3) a sense of penetrating knowledge into the depths of reality,
(4) a transcendence of space, time, and causality,
(5) complete freedom and liberation from all bondage. Experienced were qualities of joy, felicity, serenity, peace, and benevolence.

Wyatt and Gavin played many games.

Wyatt and Gavin played many games.

(Now, I need to rest.)

Tension consisted in the contrast in valuation between the superlative Joy, Peace, Rest, Freedom and Knowledge of the Transcendent and the emptiness of the relative world.

Three Fundamentals of the Philosophy

of Franklin Merrell-Wolff

1. Consciousness is original, self-existent, and constitutive of all things. All experience and all objects are derivative from Consciousness. Thus Consciousness is constitutive of all things, i.e., all things are, in their ultimate nature, nothing but this Primordial Consciousness itself.

2. The Subject to Consciousness transcends the object of Consciousness. A concrete object in consciousness might be a visual perception of a chair or a sensation of pain in our foot. More subtle objects are appearances in consciousness such as a thought or memory, an intuition about something,

The subjective principle or aspect of consciousness is more fundamental to consciousness than the objective appearances in consciousness. The subjective principle is therefore transcendental, while the objective principle is not.

3. There are three, not two, organs of knowledge: perception, conception, and introception. Wolff’s philosophy is an affirmation of a third way of knowing which Wolff calls “introception”.

Perception includes all sensory knowledge we derive from seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and tasting.

Lunch

We learned to space out our meals, so to speak.

Conception includes all knowledge we derive from thought, memory, imagination, and the like. If we admit only these two forms of knowledge, then our knowledge of reality is forever limited to our hypothetical, conceptual speculations about what reality might be.

Introception provides immediate, categorical knowledge that transcends the subject-object distinction, i.e., it is not a relational knowledge of something by something else, but a knowledge through identity in which there is only knowledge itself that includes and transcends both knower and known. It affirms that there is also a capacity for transcendental knowledge. (Where is a good Buddhist when you need one?)

(Please do not disturb me, I may be in a trance.)

Put on your thinking caps. Here are Highlights from
The Philosophy of Consciousness Without An Object

by Franklin Merrell-Wolff
  1.  Consciousness-without-an-object is. Before objects were, Consciousness-without-an-object is. Though objects seem to exist, Consciousness-without-an-object is. (I think I need an aspirin.)
  2. When objects vanish, yet remaining through all unaffected, Consciousness-without-an-object is. (Magicians know this.)
  3. Outside of Consciousness-without-an-object nothing is.
  4. Within the bosom of Consciousness-without-an-object lies the power of awareness that projects objects.
  5. When objects are projected, the power of awareness as subject is presupposed, yet Consciousness-without-an-object remains unchanged. (This is why teachers use transparencies.)
  6. When consciousness of objects is born, then, likewise, consciousness of absence of objects arises. (Kind of explains Algebra!)
  7. Consciousness of objects is the Universe.
  8. Consciousness of absence of objects is Nirvana. (This is why I meditate until I fall over.)
  9. Within Consciousness-without-an-object lie both the Universe and Nirvana, yet to Consciousness-without-an-object these two are the same. (I need a Venn or other-worldly diagram here.)
  10. Within Consciousness-without-an-object lies the seed of Time. (This is why you need an object called an alarm clock.)
  11. When awareness cognizes Time then knowledge of Timelessness is born. (Is this when the alarm clock wakes me up?)
  12. To be aware of Time is to be aware of the Universe, and to be aware of the Universe is to be aware of Time. (I guess it pays to know what time it really is.)group
  13. To realize Timelessness is to attain Nirvana. (Now I know why I’m happy when I’m dreaming!)
  14. But for Consciousness-without-an-object there is no difference between Time and Timelessness. (Get to work late, and this may not be exactly true.)
  15. Within Consciousness-without-an-object lies the seed of the world-containing Space.
  16. When awareness cognizes the world-containing Space then knowledge of the Spatial Void is born. (Is this when we dream?)
  17. To be aware of the world-containing Space is to be aware of the Universe of Objects. (This may be why we collect things.)
  18. To realize the Spatial Void is to awaken to Nirvanic Consciousness.
  19. But for Consciousness-without-an-object there is no difference between the world-containing Space and the Spatial Void.
  20. Within Consciousness-without-an-object lies the Seed of Law.       (I thought it was J. P. Court!)
  21. When consciousness of objects is born the Law is invoked as a Force tending ever toward Equilibrium. (I got lost here.)
  22. All objects exist as tensions within Consciousness-without-an-object that tend ever to flow into their own complements or others. (I hope you got that, I didn’t.)
  23. The ultimate effect of the flow of all objects into their complements is mutual cancellation in complete Equilibrium.
  24. Consciousness of the field of tensions is the Universe.
  25. But for Consciousness-without-an-object there is neither tension nor Equilibrium. (Now I need a drink, and I don’t drink!)
  26. The state of tensions is the state of ever-becoming.
  27. Ever-becoming is endless-dying. (He was just dying to say that.)
  28. So the state of consciousness of objects is a state of ever-renewing promises that pass into death at the moment of fulfillment.
  29. Thus when consciousness is attached to objects the agony of birth and death never ceases. (Oh, No! It’s my Mother’s fault!)
  30. In the state of Equilibrium where birth cancels death the deathless Bliss of Nirvana is realized. (Say again!)
  31. But Consciousness-without-an-object is neither agony nor bliss. (I’ll never go shopping again!)
  32. Out of the Great Void, which is Consciousness-without-an-object, the Universe is creatively projected. (Physicist Brian Greene explains how properties at a black hole’s surface – its event horizon – suggest the unsettling theory that our world is a mere representation of another universe, ….. Reality, that is, may be akin to a hologram. This is something with a pretty firm theoretical footing. Fermilab is building a machine that may prove that “reality” is only a holographic projection from the outermost boundary of the Universe. Reality may be a hologram in which all is projected illusion. Fermilab particle astrophysicist Craig Hogan is building the most precise clock of all time to directly measure whether our reality is an illusion.  Read moreThe new physics states that the entire Universe is a giant hologram projected through our brains creating the reality we see. But then what is projecting that hologram. Physicists hope that this surprising finding is a clue to the ultimate theory of reality. Now ask yourself, how does the brain react to virtual reality? Just ask a child, who toys with it everyday. They remove themselves from what we consider to be our real world, and get their minds immersed into another virtual world by playing virtual world video games. But are we, all of us, part of another virtual world? Within a hologram, the whole is within the part. No matter how many times you divide the whole, the part will always contain it’s totality. At a deeper level, reality may be a super-hologram (there is a super massive black hole at the center of each galaxy, including ours) in which the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. For now, the building blocks of reality are behaving in ways which are inexplicable. This may link up with theories that consciousness brings reality into existence through observation. Please keep in mind that those who go after the pull of the unknown can inevitably risk loosing their grip on reality by discovering that it possibly doesn’t exist in the first place, with reality possibly being an illusion. In which case, your haven’t really lost anything because, there wasn’t anything to lose to begin with.
  33. The Universe as experienced is the created negation that ever resists. (Resists what?)
  34. The creative act is bliss, the resistance, unending pain. (I’ll never say NO again, I promise!)
  35. Endless resistance is the Universe of experience, the agony of crucifixion. (How did religion get into this?)
  36. Ceaseless creativeness is Nirvana, the Bliss beyond human conceiving. (I was always happy with my coloring book.)
  37. But for Consciousness-without-an-object there is neither creativeness nor resistance.Caty
  38. Ever-becoming and ever-ceasing-to-be are endless action. (I think I already got that.)
  39. When ever-becoming cancels the ever-ceasing-to-be then Rest is realized. (Thank God!)
  40. Ceaseless action is the Universe.
  41. Unending Rest is Nirvana. (You got that right,)
  42. But Consciousness-without-an-object is neither Action nor Rest.
  43. When consciousness is attached to objects it is restricted through the forms imposed by the world-containing Space, by Time, and by Law. (Now my head hurts.)
  44. When consciousness is disengaged from objects, Liberation from the forms of the world-containing Space, of Time, and of Law is attained. (I’m going to stop thinking about things!)
  45. Attachment to objects is consciousness bound within the Universe. (Shopping can get you into trouble.)
  46. Liberation from such attachment is the State of unlimited Nirvanic Freedom. (We were told, “less is more”!)
  47. But Consciousness-without-an-object is neither bondage nor freedom.
  48. Consciousness-without-an-object may be symbolized by a SPACE that is unaffected by the presence or absence of objects, for which there is neither Time nor Timelessness, neither a world-containing Space nor a Spatial Void, neither Tension nor Equilibrium, neither Resistance nor Creativeness, neither Agony nor Bliss, neither Action nor Rest, and neither Restriction nor Freedom. (This man took several math courses too many. Did he not meet the deadline for withdrawal?)
  49. As the GREAT SPACE is not to be identified with the Universe, so neither is It to be identified with any Self. (I lost my identity at number 2.)
  50. The GREAT SPACE is not God, but the comprehender of all Gods, as well as of all lesser creatures.Ian
  51. The GREAT SPACE, or Consciousness-without-an-object, is the Sole Reality upon which all objects and all selves depend and derive their existence.
  52. Beside the GREAT SPACE there is none other. (I don’t know about you, but the great space that was my mind is now filled with smoke.)
You may want to read this again.
But I wouldn’t read it a third time.
There are such things as limits.
Too much of this and you will major in Philosophy
and end up driving a cab. And some of the people you give rides to may be a bit unreal. But you will have a deeper depth of understanding and will  empathize with them. You may no longer be capable of deep reflection. But never object to reflect.

Please allow me to share this stunningly beautiful poem with you:

Compassion
by Franklin Merrell-Wolff

O Compassion! More than the other loves of men,
Less than the High Indifference;
Calmly standing by and waiting; years, centuries, millennia;
Taking to Thyself the suffering of all;
Transforming toward Joy;
With Light restraining Darkness; with good, evil;
Refusing release while others are bound;
Melting differences;
Accepting impurity, giving purity;
Bound by no law, yet acquiescing in bondage;
Available for all as the light of the sun,
Yet forced on no man against his will;
Needing nought for Thyself,
Though giving to all in need;
The Base of all hope for this humanity so low;
Pure Radiance Divine.
Sweet art Thou, unutterably sweet;
Melting within me all hardness;
Stirring inclusion of the low as the high;
The evil as the good; the weak as the strong;
The unclean as the pure; the violent as the considerate;
None left out;
Awaking new understanding and patience beyond Time;
Arousing forgetfulness of the petty in the grand sweep of the noble;
Equalizing regard, yet exalting true worth;
Reaching beyond all contradiction.
To Thee I sing, glorious Spirit;
Grandest God mankind can know.

Well, this has been a little deeper than the knee is high. But now you have the mathematicians bent on things. Aren’t you glad you had trouble with Algebra. If you get too deep in some of these subjects, you may find yourself all alone and then have nothing to do but think. Now, get some sleep. And if your head is hurting tomorrow, stop reading philosophy and watching television for awhile. Later, you can view some commercials and not realize that you are still in pain.

What we eat and how we feel are linked in very complex ways. A healthy approach to eating is centered on savoring flavor, eating to satisfaction and increasing energy, rather than focusing on weight.

Get satisfaction!

Both eating and physical activity are fun, sensory experiences! In both, aim for pleasure — not pain.

Eat like a kid

If adding more fruits and vegetables sounds ominous, look to “finger food” versions that preschool kids love — carrot and celery sticks, cherry tomatoes, broccoli florets, grapes, berries and dried fruits. All are nutritional powerhouses packed with antioxidants.

Think Small

Often the biggest deterrent to improving health is feeling overwhelmed by all the available advice and research. Try to focus first on one small, seemingly inconsequential, unhealthy habit. If you have a can of soda at lunchtime every day, have a glass of water two days a week instead. healthy, positive habit.

It’s easy to build from here by adding more healthy substitutions.

The stories of our lives need to be told. These tales, after our lives are over, may be all that is left of life. They may become our life, in the hearts and minds of those we leave behind. And a beautiful story will tell of a beautiful life. Please take the time to share your stories. They will be appreciated. They will be needed. They will be you.

Rosie Junior a few days after enrolling.

Rosie Junior first fell in Love with his Tiger.

Allow me to share
another one with you.

This story is not really about dogs. Oh, there are cherished canine friends in this one. But, it is really a story about Love, a Love so vibrant, so real, that it brings tears to my eyes even to this day. And I feel that I must share it with you. Not for what it says, but for what it made me feel. For Love is not a story about Life. It is Life. Or it is nothing at all.

He gave his typically warm greeting to him every day.

He gave a typically warm greeting to him every day.

Love is not in the details. For Life, if it is fully lived, is a vibrant and beautiful Love story, written for you, with your permission, by the very Hand of God.

So very many Blessings have come my way, that I cannot adequately begin to express my gratitude. But allow me to try.

One thing always leads to another. And the Love I felt in my heart, when I was in the third grade, for a stunningly gorgeous Collie dog that wandered onto the school playground, has led to so very many Blessings. This Love, I believe, was an expression of the Love of God for a lonely little boy in need of Love. Allow me to explain.

In a few months the Tiger was a bit overwhelmed.

In a few months the Tiger was a bit overwhelmed.

At this time in my life, my Mother and I lived in a small, two story Apartment, just across the street from the Fire Department (thank God) and the County Courthouse. I remember being told later, that the rent was one dollar per day. We lived on the second floor, facing all the action of the Fire trucks. I privately felt happy about our location, because everyone in this small complex smoked constantly.

R. J. cannot write back but the look says it all. Is this the look of Love or hunger?

R. J. cannot write back but the look says it all. Is this the look of Love or hunger?

The one room we lived in was about twelve feet by ten. There was one single bed for both of us and, believe it or not, we shared a bathroom with the man next door.

We also shared a giant white refrigerator, at first a real ICE box, with everyone on the second floor. Everyone! One pay telephone was available on the first floor – 5 cents per call.

Lets bounce this idea off of you

Let me bounce this idea off of you.

I remember, as a child, observing that the men living there, and there were nothing but other older, single, lonely men, would remove their cigarets just long enough to drink more beer. And in between these rhythms, they would utter a few syllables, usually in greeting, agreeing, disagreeing or departing. And they always had a big warm smile.

These were remarkable men. There was absolutely nothing they would not do for me or my Mother or for each other. My first lessons in compassion came from these hard working, lonely guys who drank alcohol in excess to alleviate the misery of a meager existence.

Our annual Chess tournament is underway.

Our annual Chess tournament is underway.

I remember listening on the radio to many exciting adventures about Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. And since this medium engaged the fertile soil of imagination, I was truly entertained. No, we did not yet own a television. I do not know where we would have put it. My Mother warmed up food on a small, single hot plate, since there was not even room for a stove. But we had room for a small radio and a small cage for my wonderful friend, a parakeet named Pee Wee.

I also had one, and only one, toy – a plastic train made of small cubes with little animals inside. I keep it in my office to show our students what little it takes to be truly happy. And was I happy? Oh my God! These were the best days of my life. I was so joyful that I cannot remember ever having a sad moment. I felt like I was in Heaven on earth. And, I was.

Did Dr. A really buy a Flag larger than the school?

Did Dr. A really buy a Flag larger than the school?

My young life taught me many important lessons. And one of them was this: what you do not have is far more important than what you do have. And the Blessings in life do not come from things – not from any thing. Things can come to possess you. Blessings do come from the hugs and laughter and warm smiles and precious time spent sharing and caring. I found out that Heaven is within you, and can from time to time, fit neatly within the space between you and someone you love.

I remember visiting a man named Joe each day. I would go to his corner room and always find the door open. Inside was a man who had little to share, but he always gave me an Almond Joy bar and a very warm greeting. I cannot purchase one of these today because I would start to cry. You see, it does not take much to convey your love to someone else. And those precious moments of sharing and caring stay with you forever. Love never dies.

Well, back to my story. I spotted a really beautiful Collie dog on the playground at school. It had no collar, so I supplied one made of twine. And yep! I took her home.

Kylee jumped head over heals at Flight Deck.

Kylee jumped head over heals with joy at Flight Deck.

She was larger than I was. But she quickly became the Love of my life. And you can just imagine the expression on the face of my Mother. There was, of course, no place to put her. So I solved that problem. I tied her to a telephone pole just outside of our room so I could keep an eye on her. Ever few minutes I would run downstairs to love on her and give her snacks. She was full of Almond Joys. I think Joe thought that I ate all of those.

Three days later a smartly dressed cowboy showed up to claim his prize cow dog. He had been looking for him since he disappeared. After he explained his ownership and his need and love for my new friend, my Mother, pictured through my tears, gave him back to this man. But in parting, he said something profound. He pointed to me and softly told my Mother, “The boy needs a dog. And a yard to keep it in”.

Fun and games!

        Fun and games!

I remember moving shortly after that, to a real house I have treasured in my memory. In the yard my Mother kept twenty three Geese (they were the greatest watch dogs ever. Trust me, when someone arrived you knew about it during the process of losing some of your hearing! And no one opened the gate or they would have died from Goose bite. No one. Even the postman made an appointment.)

Alden is on an island of cubes.

Alden had fun squared. Or, was it cubed?

It was in this house that we got our very first television set – a black and white Curtis Mathis. And we received ONE channel (9) from Abilene. And was I happy? Well, just ask Superman or the Lone Ranger. I never missed a show. Today I can get hundreds of channels and I am no longer happy. Most of my time is spent selecting something to watch or watch again for the thirty third time. What you do not have is truly more important than what you do have. The Buddhists (and Alex) were right – Less is More.

My friends, if your child needs to change a behavior, or two, please do not force feed some dangerous chemical substance you know nothing about, like good old carcinogenic Ritalin, down his throat. There is no real need for harsh discipline either. You do not need to raise your voice and get angry. Then you will need pills for high blood pressure, depression, constipation, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam.

Diana

Diana enjoyed a break.

Just smile! Relax. And hand him a puppy. And then leave. Quietly leave and keep your dignity intact. You will leave a legacy of a tail wagging and Love everlasting.

No. You will not really need to say a thing. The puppy will speak volumes for you and convey a depth of warmth and compassion that you could never say. The new puppy will direct your child’s emotions like a maestro conducting an orchestra, only better. And all of the songs will be Love songs.

Yes. To a child the word Love begins with the letter P and ends with its tail wagging. So fess up, stop fussing and enjoy the laughter, the endless play and the joyful barking.

The end of my story about the beautiful Collie dog was, actually, the beginning of one of the greatest chapters in my life. Giving up my new found friend resulted in finding a new home, with a large yard, and being given a truly great Love of my life – a new puppy I named Ginger.

Sia was on top of the world.

Sia was on top of the world.

I was told that she was a Chinese Terrier, but I could never find any record that such a breed existed.

My Mother never really spanked me that much. But, I was a little (maybe a BIG) rascal and deserved far, far more than I got. But all that suddenly changed one day.

I built a Tree House, with the help of my friends, in the back yard. It was a platform with steps (boards) hammered into the trunk. Well, one day I deserved a spanking. And, you guessed it, I scampered up the tree and into the tree house. My Mother could not get to me! At last I found the secret to avoiding justice. And as I stared down from on high, I discovered that “Judge” Mom had alternative methods to deal with an unruly boy.

She looked down on the ground and spotted my dog, Ginger, picked her up and spanked her. And my heart was broken. I remember actually feeling each stroke. Now, don’t get me wrong, my Mother spanked Ginger lightly and only a couple of swats. And then she said, “If you cannot be man enough to take your spanking, I will spank your dog.”

A good time was had by all.

A good time was had by all.

Oh my God! This could not be. My poor little dog, Ginger, having to take my punishment. What a horrible miscarriage of justice. Where was the Supreme Court when you needed them?

So guess what I did? Such injustice simply could not prevail, so I trained Ginger to get into a bucket, tied to a rope, and stay in the bucket while I hauled her up into the tree house to be with me. Ginger was very smart and in many ways, smarter than me (although she did get a spanking).

During training, I gently set her in the bucket and then scampered up the tree and pulled her up. Well, guess what happened? I needed another predictable spanking! But I was prepared. Justice denied was justice delayed.

I well remember the screen door slamming behind me as my Mother raced to catch me. God only knows what horrible deed was done. But I do remember deserving a good spanking. After all, I was American, spoiled and an only child (what a combination!).

And the race was on. . . . .

Up the tree I scampered. And when I had ascended to the height of my ego and my imagination, I called down below . . . . “Ginger!  Ginger!  Get in the bucket! Get in the bucket!” And she did.

Angry Al is introduced by Gavin and Wyatt's dad, Nick.

Angry Al is introduced by Gavin and Wyatt’s dad, Nick. (We enrolled him in anger management class)

At the very moment she obeyed, the screen door slammed behind my Mother as she approached me with menacing eyes and a determined look. And that is when a miracle happened. Yes, such moments as this made me believe in God. My Mother witnessed my little dog, Ginger, being hoisted up to the tree house, where I posed with pride and glee. Ginger actually stayed in the basket until I pulled her all the way up and then she flew into my arms. I was overjoyed. I felt better than the boys who escaped from Alcatraz.

I peered down over the side of my tree house, to enjoy the full effect of my victory on the face of the Angel of Injustice. And what I saw stunned and astonished me. My Mother was laughing so hard that she fell on the ground. I think she laughed for several minutes. Later, she would exclaim, I was now too old to spank and she could never catch me anyway.

We embraced when I came down and she apologized for spanking

Jack said he fell in love with two hot chicks. And here they are!

Jack said he fell in love with two hot chicks. And here they are!

Ginger. And I vowed, a west Texas vow, never to misbehave again.

And Ginger, she became a Folk Hero. Not only for this act, but my Mother came to love her as no other. You see, when a large (I mean, really BIG) rattle snake cornered my Mother, by surprise, in the Kitchen after it snuck in when the door was propped open, it was little Ginger that placed herself between the snake and Mom and me. Ginger barked and growled and kept her little body between the snake and us, as it kept recoiling and striking but missing my little dog. Believe it or not, my Mother swept the snake out the door with a broom. Ah, these west Texas women! You never want to get them really mad!

Yes, Ginger became a life saving heroine and was literally worshiped by both of us. She ate with us, slept on the bed with us, traveled everywhere with us and loved us until the day she disappeared. As I recall, it was the day Richard Nixon was given the oath of office as President (perhaps an omen). And I looked for my Rosie, non-stop, for three full days.

We had moved to Abilene so that I could attend Hardin-Simmons University (my Mother was an H.S.U. graduate). So the territory was unfamiliar to Ginger or me. I feel like she went “mooching” because almost every neighbor we had in our previous neighborhood fed her. She made the rounds every morning. The whole neighborhood loved Ginger. Our love expressed itself, after so many years, in the shape of a very large, rotund, small dog. Sometimes, Love reveals itself that way.

Love can also be found in a bucket on its way to Heaven above, surrounded by uncontrollable laughter, tears of joy, treasured memories and a Mother’s great sense of humor and deep and abiding love.

You know, we never had much. And I could not have asked for more.

“While the word is yet unspoken,
you are master of it;
when once it is spoken
it is master of you.”

Vaccine Debate Misses Target

vaccine

My friends, the debate over vaccines has totally missed the target. Yes, we need to (virtually) all be vaccinated. And yes, deaths and horrible disabilities have resulted from being vaccinated. But let’s take a close look at EXACTLY what our targets should be.

One thing you can do is space vaccines out to prevent problems. Many physicians recommend spacing ALL vaccinations (for individual diseases) out at least two months apart to give our very fragile and very biological organs and the neurological systems time to absorb the impact of these chemicals.

Multi-dose formulations are highly suspect in damaging our delicate neurological systems / brain. Rather than getting in a convenience mode (you know, the good Doctor want to spend less time and just get it over), take the time to research this important topic and then take the time necessary to reduce the very real and serious risk to your child’s health, happiness and future. Space vaccines out.

Please take a look at The Vaccine Book by Dr. Robert W. Sears prior to giving big round of vaccinations to your child.

Dr. Sears never says that vaccinations are dangerous. He is cautious about the effects of giving small children aggressive dosages of medicine. He recommends spacing out the vaccinations instead of giving them all at once. If your Doctor seems unwilling to do so, find another physician!

The most contentious ingredient in vaccinations is aluminum. The FDA requires the aluminum content of IV feeding solutions be limited to 25 micrograms per liter. That is a small amount. Especially when you consider that the HIB vaccine alone has 225 micrograms of aluminum. Further FDA studies show that a 22-pound baby can safely handle 50 micrograms if they have healthy kidneys.

The typical baby would not be getting 25 or even 225 micrograms of aluminum per day but if he got the full cocktail of vaccines today, he would have received approximately 1,225 micrograms of aluminum. That is a lot for a baby or you! By the way, these vaccines also contain trace amounts of mercury, formaldehyde, and MSG.

There is a book about it called “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children’s Vaccinations”, by Stephanie Cave, M.D., F.A.A.F.P and Deborah Mitchell.

Please recognize that you and I are alive today because of the miraculous discovery that we can be vaccinated against horrible diseases. Numerous plagues and other scourges have ravaged mankind for thousands of years. All of you know individuals who have died or suffered from such diseases as Polio, Small Pox and many others.

The debate that rages should not place one extreme point of view against the other. Both are actually correct to a degree. Now, let’s look at what we should be focused upon.

Some vaccine manufacturers are producing 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccines and others in single-dose units, which do not require the use of thimerosal as a preservative. In addition, the live-attenuated version of the vaccine, which is administered intranasally (through the nose), is produced in single-units and does not contain thimerosal.

People have a right to expect the vaccines they receive are safe and effective. CDC and FDA also hold vaccines to the highest standards of safety. That is why they continually evaluate new scientific information about the safety of vaccines. Since 2001, no new vaccine licensed by FDA for use in children has contained thimerosal as a preservative (Why?), and all vaccines routinely recommended by CDC for children under six years of age have been thimerosal-free, or contain only trace amounts, except for multi-dose formulations of influenza vaccine.

Since seasonal influenza vaccine is produced in large quantities for annual immunization campaigns, some of the vaccine is produced in multi-dose vials, and contains thimerosal.

Many families have alleged that vaccines have caused their children to become autistic. I personally know of one (the son of my wonderful cousin, Jim). Since 1999, almost 5000 families have filed claims with the government alleging their children developed autism as a result of routine vaccinations.

The most popular theory is that this preservative called thimerosal is to blame. Several scientific studies have found no association between autism and vaccines containing thimerosal. But parents respond that their children’s symptoms did not show up until after the vaccinations required by many schools. If these families win, the families will be entitled to compensation from a multi billion-dollar trust fund. read more here

I think something is wrong in giving these vaccinations all at once. What brilliant scientist decided to employ a toxic substance such as mercury to use in millions of doses of  required vaccines for our fragile children.

Thimerosal was taken out of childhood vaccines in 2001. Why?

More than 500,000 children suffer from autism, and pediatricians diagnose more than 40,000 new cases every year. The disease was unknown until 1943, when autism was identified and diagnosed among 11 children born in the months after thimerosal was first added to baby vaccines in 1931.

Do all flu vaccines contain thimerosal?

Influenza (flu) vaccines are currently available in both thimerosal-containing and thimerosal-free versions. The total amount of flu vaccine without thimerosal as a preservative at times has been limited, but availability will increase as vaccine manufacturing capabilities are expanded. Take the time to locate thimerosal-free vaccine.

By the way, a clinical trial led by Mitsuyoshi Urashima and conducted by the Division of Molecular Epidemiology in the the Department of Pediatrics at the Jikei University School of Medicine Minato-ku in Tokyo found that vitamin D was extremely effective at halting influenza infections in children. The trial appears in the March, 2010 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Am J Clin Nutr (March 10, 2010). Learn more

Vitamin D could save billions of dollars in reduced health care costs. But no one can patent vitamin D, so it’s not being aggressively promoted. It is readily available to everyone for mere pennies a day. It is also FREE. Sunshine will synthesis vitamin D, so go for a walk! Your body is designed to get the vitamin D it needs by producing it when your bare skin is exposed to sunlight. The part of the sun’s rays that is important is ultraviolet B (UVB).

Vitamin D also significantly reduced asthma in children.

Another fascinating result from the trial is that if you remove those children from the study who were already being given vitamin D by their parents, so that you are only looking at children who started out with no vitamin D supplementation before the trial began, the results look even better as vitamin D reduced relative infection risk by nearly two-thirds.

How can I find out if thimerosal is in a vaccine?

For a complete list of vaccines and their thimerosal content level, you may visit the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Additionally, you may ask your health care provider or pharmacist for a copy of the vaccine package insert. It lists ingredients in the vaccine and discusses any known adverse reactions.

Allow me to tell you of one of my Heroes: author Mike Adams (aka the “Health Ranger“) is the founding editor of NaturalNews.com, the internet’s No. 1 natural health news website, reaching 7 million readers a month.

In 2013, Adams launched the Natural News Forensic Food Lab, where he conducts atomic spectroscopy research into food contaminants using high-end ICP-MS instrumentation. With this research, Adams has made numerous food safety breakthroughs such as revealing rice protein products imported from Asia to be contaminated with toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium and tungsten. Adams was the first food science researcher to document high levels of tungsten in superfoods. He also discovered over 11 ppm lead in imported mangosteen powder, and led an industry-wide voluntary agreement to limit heavy metals in rice protein products to low levels by July 1, 2015.

In addition to his lab work, Adams is also the executive director of the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center, an organization that redirects 100% of its donations receipts to grant programs that teach children and women how to grow their own food or vastly improve their nutrition. Sunset A

We can see with our eyes.
But close your eyes,
And look into the real light of this life,
Into the Light of your heart,
Into that which transcends
What has been illumined,
Into what will be.

Close your eyes.
Listen to the song
Long laid to rest,
Seldom sung,
But as a child.
The one you heard –
So long ago,
The one you were –
And, so long to hear again.

It is the song of your heart,
Beating in time
With all that has gone before,
With all it longed to be.

You shall never see
As clearly as today.
The lens of your heart
Can focus your mind
Upon the things in life
That truly have meaning,
That matter.

Sunset 2

The glow of your being,
The essence of your existence,
Lies deeply embedded
Within the Love you feel
For someone else.

Within the few and precious moments
You share with another,
Lies a Gift greater
Than any treasure on this earth,
A Gift only you can give,
A Gift so alive with Love,
That it will live forever –
The Gift of knowing, surely knowing,
That someone is alive in your heart,
And will live there
Forever.

Such Love never dies.
Such Love has always lived,
Placed in your heart
By the precious Love of God,
This Love comes through you,
Not from you.

It is the only Gift
Worthy of bestowing,
Worthy of receipt.

It is yours,
If discovered,
Treasured,
Shared.

Your heart is not yours.
It belongs to another,
And always has.
Time is measured
By its humble beat –
The pulsing of its radiance
You will never feel,
For the vibrancy of its being
Always takes flight,
Seeking shelter
In the dark corner of another life,
To light the pathway,
To see.

You are,
By the Grace of God,
This Light
.
May the Light of your precious Life
Bring someone out of darkness,
And into the warm, bright, joyful
Sunlight of Salvation –
Your Salvation,
And the precious one you save.

“Till the stars fall around me
And find me all alone.
When the sun comes a-singing
I’ll still be waiting.”

6 common household items that cause cancer
from: naturalnews.com

Air fresheners –  A hotbed of poisonous substances that could leave you and your loved ones infertile, brain-damaged or chronically ill. Tests conducted by the Natural Resources Defense Council found that most air fresheners contain phthalates, which among other things interfere with male hormone production.

Most air fresheners are also loaded with other cancer-causing volatile organic compounds as well, which interfere with reproduction, respiration and cellular regeneration. A 2008 study conducted by Anne Steinemann at the University of Washington found that all air fresheners tested emitted chemicals known to be carcinogenic, meaning they cause cancer.

Instead of toxic commercial air fresheners, stick with all-natural essential oils, which can be applied to the skin or released into the air from a diffuser. read more

Candles  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission found that nearly half of all scented candles on the market contain lead wiring in their wicks, which is released into the air upon burning. This lead leads to hormone disruption, behavioral disorders and other health problems.

Many candles are also made of paraffin wax which, when burned, generates two highly toxic compounds, benzene and toluene, both of which are carcinogenic. Artificial fragrances and dyes are also present in many scented candles, which when burned end up in your lungs.

Art supplies –  Epoxy materials, glues, acrylic paints and solvents, drawing utensils and other supplies used to create art contain chemicals linked to allergies, organ damage and cancer.

The federal Labeling Hazardous Art Materials Act requires that all art supplies sold in the U.S. bear warnings. It is recommended that users of such supplies purchase only products that are certified by the Art and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI). ACMI-certified products undergo rigorous evaluations by independent toxicologists to make sure that they are safe for everyone, including small children.

Shampoos & Conditioners – Toxins are in cosmetics containing ingredients like sodium lauryl sulfate that generate cancer-causing byproducts when used. Other carcinogenic additives commonly used in hair care products include polyethylene glycol (PEG) and cocamide DEA.

Safe Cosmetics has put together a list of the safest and most eco-friendly shampoos on the market, which are free of most or all of the chemicals listed in its “Skin Deep” database, which you can access here: SafeCosmetics.org.

Antiperspirant Deodorants –  Avoid aluminum chlorohydrate, which can absorb directly into the skin and promote the formation of breast cancer. Aluminum from antiperspirants is also believed to contribute to brain diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Other toxic additives in deodorants include parabens, artificial preservatives that mimic estrogen in the body and promotes the growth of cancer cells. Parabens are also linked to gastrointestinal damage, nausea and central nervous system depression.

Shower curtains – Plastic shower curtains act something like a radiator for toxic chemical release. Many shower curtains off-gas harmful chemicals known as volatile organic compounds that are known to damage the respiratory tract, central nervous system, liver and kidneys.

Augustus Caesar keeps a watchful eye over Mary Alice (she earlier beheaded him!)

If your shower curtain has that unique “new shower curtain smell,” it is releasing deadly chemicals — potentially upwards of 108 different VOCs, that are harming you. It is important to buy only non-toxic, PVC-free shower curtains made without harmful chemicals.

Some of the best options include shower curtains made from hemp, linen, birch, organic cotton or PEVA, which you can learn more about here:

MPs in the U.K say yes to Three-Person Babies
from click here

MPs have voted in favor of the creation of babies with DNA from two women and one man. The UK is now set to become the first country to introduce laws to allow the creation of babies from three people. The technique stops genetic diseases being passed from mother to child. This change that will be passed down through the generations. It also asks questions about the future. Some people argue we are now on a slippery slope to further genetic modification of children.

A further vote is required in the House of Lords. It everything goes ahead then the first such baby could be born next year. Critics say they will continue to fight against the technique that raises too many ethical and safety concerns.
