Until Every Thread Is Torn / This Nutrient Could Eliminate 50% of ALL Deaths From CANCER / School Starts Sept. 1

    Pouring down like Golden Honey

Across the Evening Sky
the Light is slowly leaving,
pouring down like golden Honey,
with Beauty aglow
as we fall in Love
Believing,
but never truly knowing
if we are dreaming.

     ‘Til every thread Is torn.

Our Lives
we Live in such hues,
as if what is revealed
is real,
until every thread
is torn
from the Fabric of Life and Living,
in the Tapestry of
our minds
surreal.

.

So much of what we know
as Life,
is not really Living
at all.
But in the brevity of our Being,
in so Believing,
Blessings abound.

Infinitely Loving Brushstrokes,
with Beauty far beyond
what we can behold,
flung against the Canvass
of the Evening Skies,
reminded us
that the Love of God
opens our Hearts,
as we open our eyes.

Poets and Writers of Song
have always known,
always felt deeply,
our Hearts need to be
Courageous and Free.
Though we may be made blind
by illusions so bold
they appear infinite and immeasurable,
by the Grace of God
we can see.

     Infinitely Loving Brushstrokes

Joni Mitchell
expresses in beautiful song:

“I’ve looked at Life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s Life’s illusions I recall.
I really don’t know Life
at all.”

Is it delusion to Believe
the images in our minds
are the real World?
Is it unlike
our experience of it?

The concept that reality is
only in the mind,
is found time after time after time,
In the study of Philosophy,
and in the Sciences
that remind.

Physicist
Sir Arthur Eddington notable said,
“Matter is mostly ghostly
empty space.”

To be more precise,
it is 99.9999999% empty space.

My friends,
we faint and flickering
shadows and shades
are almost non-existent.
Matter, of which we are made,
Is coming into and out of existence
Billions of times each second.

Your reality,
which includes you,
Is blinking constantly on and off at all times.
Quantum physics has left scientists
all over the world
Baffled.
Especially with the discovery
that our physical material reality,
Isn’t really physical
at all

Our Human brain is designed
by natural experience (in order to survive),
to sense the “on” frequency.
Just as quickly,
it blinks “off,”
and everything, including you,
disappears.
However, your brain registers and connects only
the “on” segments,
and thus you have the sense
or feeling of your reality being
solid.
What quantum mechanics reveals
Is that there is NO true “physicality”
in the Universe.

We faint and flickering shadows and shades . . .

Quantum theory predicts
that every particle spends some time
as a combination of other particles
in all possible ways.
These predictions (read more)
are now very well understood and tested.
.
Yes my Friends,
we are truly ONE
with the Universe,
with each other,
with God.

“We don’t know what matter is
anymore than we know
what mind is.”
Christian de Quincy,
The Paradox of Consciousness

We have discovered in quantum physics
that even subatomic particles
are far, far from solid.
They are nothing like matter
as we think we know it.
These particles,
of which we are made,
can never be precisely measured.
And they are everywhere,
Everywhere,
In the same moment,
Until observed.

Religion incorporates transcendent, immanent
Omnipresence.
The Divine is everywhere.
The property of being present everywhere
defines a Universal and fundamental substance,
which is the source of all existence.
God is omnipresent in a way
that He is able to interact with His
Divine Creations,
with you,
Child of God.

Our physical material reality isn’t really physical at all.

“Behold,
Heaven and the Highest Heaven

cannot contain you,
how much less this house which I have built!
1 Kings 8:27

Plato believed
The real world
was a world of ideas
and
Eternal perfect forms.
.
Is it?

Particles are,
and we are,
Clouds of potential existence,
with no definite location.
Whatever matter is,
It has little,
If any,
Substance.

“We don’t know a millionth
of one percent
about anything.
Thomas Edison

Our idea of matter
as solid,
as substance,
is a quality appearing
ONLY in our consciousness.
It models what is real,
but is unlike
what is really,
or, perhaps,
NOT really,
there.

German philosopher Immanuel Kant
posited that time and space
are not inherent qualities of the physical World;
They are a reflection
of the way
our mind operates.

We are the creators of the World we experience.

And so,
We are NOT
passive experiencers of the World;
We are the Creators
of the world we experience.
We, my friends,
are Children of God,
and firmly at the center of things.
The Earth is not
at the center of the Universe,
WE are.

Human Thought Determines Reality.

“You don’t need to feel alienated
by being at the mercy of a blind material World;
YOU are the World.
Riccardo Manzotti

Early in the 1900’s it was proven
beyond a shadow of a doubt
with an experiment called
the double slit experiment.
Researchers found the determining factor
of the behavior of energy (particles)
at the quantum level,
is the awareness
of the observer. (read more)

Literature,
throughout the World,
of a Spiritual Nature,
proclaims that the whole world
Is within.

We are truly ONE with the Universe, with each other, with God.

The question of God’s existence
is the most important question
of Human philosophy.
One chooses either a self existent God
or a self existent Universe,
and the Universe is not behaving
as if it is self existent
.
According to the second law of thermodynamics,
the Universe is running down like a clock,
cooling off like a giant stove. (read more)

My Dear Friends,
Religion and science are merging,
they are becoming one.
Not as antithetically opposed
as we may believe.
Our discoveries suggests
a far, far more enlightening meaning
to this marriage.

Not just academic,
not just philosophical,
but personal, practical, meaningful.
And as we think upon these things,
as best we can,
we become Blessed to realize:

“Those who dwell in the Beauty
and the mystery of Life
are never lonely.”

The Earth is not at the center of the Universe, WE are.

In our Human affairs
we Live our precious Lives
as if the material World
Is the fundamental reality.
And in this consciousness
lay the root of our discontent,
our misery,
our unquenchable thirst.

My friends,
we are losing our Humanity,
not knowing
WE
are far, far more
than Human.

The Human Spirit
Is the very essence of Life
In a Human Being.
And knowledge of this can amplify
the Joy of Living,
and bring about Spiritual Freedom.

You are a Spiritual Being
having a Human experience.

Your infinite capacity
to create, to Love, to dream, to forgive
and to be aware that you are far, far more
than you can ever imagine,
ultimately defines what it means to be
Human.
You are the most beautiful and miraculous Creation
in the Universe.
And you are
Eternal.

What is missing,
disappearing from Life,
Is the most exciting, wonderful, exhilarating
discovery of all:
When we Love someone,
and finally come to know
that we are deeply Loved,
God enters our Hearts,
and what is dreamed
becomes forever
real.
.
Goodnight.

We, my friends, are Children of God.

“I need your Love,
I need your Love,
God speed your Love
To me.”

Did You Know…

… that there’s a nutrient that could eliminate 50% of all deaths from cancer and prevent other diseases that claim nearly 1 million lives every year?

That nutrient is … Vitamin D, the “sunshine vitamin,” which is now recognized by traditional and natural doctors alike as one of the most powerful, inexpensive ways to prevent disease.

Vitamin D is found in small amounts in some foods, such as milk, eggs, fish, and fortified orange juice – but the most important, natural source of vitamin D comes from exposure to sunlight.

Vitamin D influences over 2,000 of the 30,000 genes in the body, which explains why it has been found to inhibit the onset and spread of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, autism, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis, to name a few.

Next to smoking, not getting enough vitamin D is the No. 2 risk factor of cancer!  Every year, 30% – or two million people worldwide (200,000 in the U.S. alone) – could be spared of dying from cancer if they would just take the proper amounts of vitamin D.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, an Osteopathic physician and New York Times bestselling author, “Groundbreaking studies proved that 600,000 cases of cancer could be prevented every year just by increasing your levels of vitamin D. And without question, the best way to obtain your vitamin D is by UVB sunlight falling on unexposed skin in doses that do not cause sunburn. Beyond cancer, increasing levels of vitamin D could prevent diseases that claim nearly 1 million lives throughout the world each year.”

Dr. Michael Holick, one of the world’s most respected authorities on Vitamin D and author of The UV Advantage explains that “Vitamin D is made in the skin, gets into the bloodstream, and then goes into the liver and kidneys where it is activated into a hormone called 125-dihydroxy (calcitriol). It is this activated vitamin D that has biological, disease-prevention effects, such as preventing prostate cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and colon cancer.”

The proper amount of vitamin D in the body helps to:

  1. stop mutated cells from forming and spreading;
  2. cause diseased cells to commit “cell suicide” – i.e., cause them to literally self-destruct;
  3. causes the differentiation of cells (Cancer cells are often undifferentiated, and this causes them to reproduce faster);
  4. reduce the probability that dormant tumors will regenerate into cancerous cells by inhibiting the growth of blood vessels in those areas.

Absorption is the key. Dr. William Grant, Ph.D., Director of the Sunlight, Nutrition and Health Research Center, and an expert on the effects of the environment and diet on chronic disease, recommends that adults get 2,000 to 4,000 IU’s of vitamin D every day from the sun or from vitamin D supplements to prevent cancerous or dysfunctional cellular activity. However, most people get less than 300 IU’s a day.

While it’s true that excessive amounts of unprotected UVA rays can increase your risk of melanoma skin cancer, there is an overwhelming body of evidence that shows that moderate sun exposure combats cancer and other disease without risk.

It is virtually impossible to overdose on vitamin D. In fact, there’s never been a reported case of vitamin D toxicity – so go outside and enjoy your daily dose of sunshine! If you’re unable to get sufficient sun exposure, taking a high quality vitamin D supplement is recommended by many health practitioners. Natural vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), or human vitamin D, is the type most often prescribed for therapeutic reasons because it is far superior to vitamin D2, which is synthetic.

Lockstep and Fits ALL? / Monarchs and Milkweed / Nutrition / Tea and Dementia / Equipping the Storm Shelter / Friday: At School (Shakespeare Production)

“I long for the day
when the statement,
‘Our God is Love,
our race is Human,
and our religion is Oneness,’
is more than the musings
of my mind,
but is the Creed of the Heart
of the Human family.”

The annual migration of North America’s
Monarch Butterfly is a unique phenomenon.
The Monarch is the only butterfly
known to make a two-way migration as birds do,
flying as far as 3,000 miles.
The farthest ranging Monarch recorded
traveled 265 miles in one day,
and they weigh less than a gram

Every backyard can become an oasis
for Monarchs. You can engage in planting
or preserving native milkweed plants
necessary for their survival.
Our school always preserves milkweed plants
for our visiting Monarch friends.

Why don’t you join us?

By the way,
Milkweed is the larval host for the Monarch
and is considered nectar plants for many different
butterfly species found feeding from the flower.

We are located directly in the migratory path
of the magnificent Monarch Butterflly.

Few are aware
that the educational system
we have in place today
was adopted from the program
put into place by
Catherine the Great of Russia in
1899
to produce good soldiers, obedient factory workers,
and citizens who would not question authority
and dutifully pay their taxes.

This curriculum model
has inevitably led to a
“one size fits all”
mentality
and a lockstep method
of advancement.
It emphasizes rote memorization
and the passing of tests
over critical thinking skills,
the development of creativity,
fostering and nurturing
a Love of Learning,
and the acceleration of study
in innate areas of
higher awareness.

The lockstep platform forces learners
to proceed at the same pace.
It requires fewer instructors,
far less management and assessment
and is much more easily managed
than self-paced programs.

The ‘Iiwi is one of the endangered Hawaiian honeycreeper species. Photo by Kahn, Noah/USFWS

A primary disadvantage of lockstep placement
is that the pace is set for average learners.
However,
there are no average learners.
It is statistically improbable
that a group of children will all be
in the third grade, second month,
first week and second day
in all elementary subjects
and progress day after day,
year after year,
at the same pace.

And the design of the curriculum,
placement within the program,
as well as the assessment tools utilized,
are all highly subjective.

Every child is different.
They all have special learning requirements
and different pacing needs
within different subject areas.

No,
there are no average learners.
Everything in Life
follows the bell-shaped curve
of probability.
And with time,
one’s position on this curve
becomes fluid and flexible,
especially within a broad range
of subject areas
and learning disciplines and interests
and strengths and weaknesses.

And the linear concept
of directing virtually every educational goal
toward achievement on a singular event assessment
always results in validity concerns.

“Teaching to a test becomes stifling
for teachers and students,
far from the inspiring, adaptive education
which most benefits students.
Our greatly accelerating world needs graduates
who are trained to address
tough situations with innovation,
ingenuity, entrepreneurship, and a capacity
for mobilizing collaboration and cooperation.”

Nutrition is important
in both cancer and heart disease prevention.
Eating a diet RICH in
fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat-free and
low-fat dairy foods, and seafood

has been associated with a decrease
in cardiovascular disease and cancer.”

The disease-fighting elements in a good diet are:
Fiber, which aids weight control
and lowers heart and cancer risks,
Antioxidants, which fight disease-causing cell damage.

Omega-3 fatty acids,
which lower blood pressure

among other benefits.”

When a severe storm spawns tornadoes,
proper shelter is the key to staying alive.

it is crucial to keep the shelter equipped
with the right materials to stay safe.

“People should take every warning seriously,”
AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Kottlowski said.
“Warnings are issued because there is good scientific data
showing either a storm producing damaging winds,
hail or a tornado,
or is capable of doing so.”

Having a plan in place before severe weather strikes
will avoid any last-second panic or confusion.
It also ensures that everyone will be prepared
to handle a storm and its aftermath.

Lucinda Parker, public information officer
at the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, said.

A basic kit includes water, nonperishable food,
a first aid kit, a flashlight and batteries.
(Friends: have an additional unopened package of new batteries)
If sheltering pets or infants,
keep a supply of baby formula, diapers and pet food
in the kit as well.

“We urge people to keep a kit at home,
in their car, and if they do have a storm shelter,
that would be a good place for a kit, as well,” Parker said.

“If you ever find happiness
by hunting for it,
you will find it,
as the old woman did
her lost spectacles,
safe on her own nose
all the time.”
Josh Billings

Other essential items to have on hand, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency:

1. Battery-powered radio
2. Pillows, blankets and other bedding (pillows can also be used as protection from flying debris)
3. Essential documents (birth certificate copies, insurance policies, etc.)
4. Toilet paper and bags for sanitation
5. Personal sanitation items (toothbrush, deodorant, etc.)
6. Whistle (to signal for help if trapped)
7. A change of clothes per person
8. Close-toe shoes and extra socks per person (especially if there is debris to tread over)
9. Wrench or pliers (to turn off utilities)
10. Dust mask or cotton t-shirt (to filter the air)

Drinking Tea Cuts Your Risk of Dementia in Half
from our friends at the Underground Health Reporter

A recent study published in the Journal of Nutrition, Health & Aging
found that drinking tea can cut your risk of cognitive impairment in half. For individuals with a genetic risk of developing Alzheimer’s, the reduction of risk could be lowered by as much as 86%!

Benefits associated with tea consumption come from the numerous bioactive compounds found in tea leaves, including:

Catechins
Theaflavins
Thearubigins
L-theanine

The compounds exhibited anti-inflammatory
and antioxidant properties,
as well as additional bioactive properties
that appear to prevent vascular damage to the brain
and neurodegeneration.

From our friends at the Underground Health Reporter:
Is Your Diet Causing Your Depression?

If you suffer from depression or anxiety or other mental illness, it may help to look closely at your diet. link between diet and mental health is just as strong as the link between diet and physical health. “There’s a very strong link between quality of diet and risk of common mental disorders like depression and anxiety,” Felice Jacka, associate professor, psychiatric epidemiologist, and director of the Food and Mood Centre at Deakin University in Australia, told HuffPost Australia.

Plant-Based Wellness

This new field of research investigating the link between nutrition and mental health offers completely new methods of treating and preventing mental illness. The mainstays of psychiatric treatments—pharmacological drugs – have achieved only modest benefits. Compelling evidence indicates that nutrition could be a crucial factor in combating increased prevalence of mental health issues around the globe. Clear findings are already emerging as to which foods hurt the most, and which foods help the most.

Jacka and her team analyze how different dietary patterns support or undermine mental well being. One clear connection the team has identified so far is between rates of depression and intake of processed foods that contain high concentrations of…

     Fat
          Sugar
               Carbohydrates
                    Emulsifiers
                         Artificial flavors

Similarly, there is a relation between incidences of depression and low intake of healthful foods, for instance…

     Vegetables
          Fruits
               Legumes
                    Fish
                         Lean red meat

“Even if you’re eating good food, if you’re also eating a lot of junk food, it can be a problem,” Jacka said. On the other hand, even if you eat little or no junk food, you can off-balance your mental health by not eating enough fruits and vegetables.

Students are NOT to leave the Museum or restaurant at any time for any reason, including the need to secure a ride, go off to war & whip the Yankees (which also requires a uniform,  powder, good teeth to open the powder and gun) or use the restroom, without the approval of Dr. or Mrs. Anderson.

MUSEUM RULES *  No loud talking, running, or jumping or one of the Museum staff will get you. (They ALL look like ex-school principals.)
*  Stay with your chaperone at all times. If Dr. A seems jittery, he has had enough! Just offer him coffee with extra cream.
His motto is: “One cup per kid!”
*  Use clipboards for worksheets. Do not lean or write on exhibit display cases or walls.
*  No food, drink, candy, or gum is allowed inside. Give these items to Dr. A., he knows (burp!) what to do with them.
*  The museum has video surveillance & alarms so don’t be alarmed and return the muskets.
*  They reserve the right to refuse service and rough up those who do not wish to follow the rules of conduct. Now, there are exceptions and one of them is Dr. A. He is a good guy and won’t remember the rules, and he already looks roughed up.

          Trip the Light Fantastic

We are beings of a Human dimension
and of many levels of awareness,
some known
and some unknowable.
And in our travels to gain Wisdom,
the tenuity of our being
may encounter
a healing awareness.

The journey
from tragedy
to Hope
can be the distance
between one beat of your Heart
and the next.

Yes,
somewhere in time,
which is this moment,
now
and forever,
we may receive
a Gift of Divinity,
one that imparts
the awareness
of God’s Healing
Love.

What if
you trip the Light Fantastic
and awoke one morning
to realize the Infinite Love
inside of you
waiting to be discovered?

a_009

Our shadows are cast long and deep.

Such Exquisite Love,
My Dear Friends,
exists.
It may be
the only thing
that truly does exist.
And it is a reflection
of what is alive
and dwells deeply
within an Infinite Reality.

“Love Gandhi-11
is the only reality
and it is not
a mere sentiment.
It is the Ultimate Truth
that lies at the
Heart of Creation.”
– Mohandas Gandhi

We perceive ourselves
reflected in the mirror
of what we do, where we are,
what we believe.

But our shadows
are cast long and deep
in the direction
of what has been,
not what will be.

chuck Palahniuk 2“Maybe
the only thing

each of us can see
is our own shadow.”
– Chuck Palahniuk

My Friends,
in attempting to comprehend
what is incomprehensible,
we can act to enable
a new birth of freedom
and explore the unknown
and the unknowable,
working together
in unison with the Lord.
The Void
beyond our awareness,
may be Lovingly filled
by our Collective Conscience.

“I want to fly with you
across the sunrise,

discover what begins
each shining day”.

The Majesty and Mystery of our being.

We may relate to each other,
one fragile Human to another,
and to the Majesty and the Mystery
of our being
on a Harmonic scale.
And this Harmony,
this Chorus of beautiful Song,
will take us down
a Spiritual Path
which evolves into
unified movement,
and pure Loving energy.

Your journey in Life
can be with none
but yourself,
only and very lonely.
Or made with unbridled Joy,
in a new era
where Life has just begun,
walking hand in hand
with the Lord.

a_136

Our shadows are cast long and deep.

Such Joy
as we may come to know
is mirrored in
our laughter in Life.
We can become so excited,
so unfettered with pure exaltation,
that we find we cannot deny
each new day
ends in a beautiful dream
filled with anticipation and Hope,
instead of a sigh.

red sun b

With none but yourself.

Something
happens as we grow older.
Our experience with others
not content with Life,
those filled with unreal
and unrealized expectations,
make us think at some point
that it is not correct to react
in pure delight.
We temper Joy with reserve,
hesitation, caution.
And our joy is suppressed, strangled, smothered –
the unspeakable Joy that
God wants for you.

a_126

    Life itself has NO rules.

Your child
is the greatest teacher
you will ever know.

Through the eyes of your child
you can learn to laugh with abandon,
sparkle with delight,
sing along with Heaven,
come to see
the Light.

Only and very lonely.

Jesus gives us
in a moment of pure Insight,
a remarkable Revelation:
be more like them.

“Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall NOT enter into
the Kingdom of Heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself
as this little child,
the same is greatest in the
Kingdom of Heaven.”

– Matthew 18:3-4

          Down a Spiritual Path.

We are drawn
down an ever evolving,
more and more serious
pathway:
a dangerous highway,
pot marked and pitted and filled
with memories
of moments in misery.
But these came about
because we did not comprehend
that:

“Life itself has NO rules.
That is its mystery
and its unknown law.

What you call knowledge
is an attempt to impose something
comprehensible on life.”
   – Carl Jung

We impose our reality optical illusion c
upon a World
we do not really know,
that may not exist
as we think,
or may not
exist at all.

But in the throes
of Life’s incomprehensibility,
its lawlessness and strange meandering,
your child
can offer Hope,
can take you back
to your source,
where you began,
where once you felt
truly Loved,
at home.

denver“Just when it feels like
its hopeless

And Ill never make it alone,
I hear the voices of angels
Tenderly calling me home.

Home,
come on home

Ye who are weary come home.
Softly and tenderly calling
Home, come on home.”
– John Denver

of Loving to behold.

       Your journey in Life

I am wondering
if the people who have never
put their hopes and dreams,
their time and other things,
into the precious Life
of another without Hope,
without Love,
will see Life dissolve
before their eyes
with little or no Hope,
never having known
the Truth –
that
Life is Love,
that the truly homeless
are not only those without
a place to live,
they are those without
someone to Love.

Goodnight.

Can Saffron Prevent Age-Related Vision Loss?

Saffron

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) afflicts 2% of Americans between 50 and 60, and 30% of Americans over the age of 75. According to the National Eye Institute, AMD is the principal cause of irreversible blindness in Americans.

Research has shown that certain plant carotenoids – antioxidant pigments that give fruits and vegetables their colors – can help keep early-stage macular degeneration from progressing, but until recently scientists have been unable to develop a targeted strategy to defend against “normal” loss of visual acuity that occurs with aging. Supplementing with saffron may hold the key.

The first study tested 20 mg of saffron against a placebo. After three months of supplementing with saffron, patients showed an average increase of 1 full line on the eye vision chart, measured at a 20-foot distance. So, an AMD patient with 20/40 vision now had 20/30 vision!

Scientists followed up with a second study that replicated testing circumstances but lasted for 14 months instead of just 3 months. This time, sensitivity to light improved for the entire duration of the study when patients supplemented with saffron, and visual acuity jumped 2 full lines on the Snellen vision chart!

A third study published in the Journal of Translational Medicine confirmed saffron’s vision-enhancing benefits.

Saffron is an extremely nutrient-dense spice that contains manganese, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, iron, and vitamin B6. Health experts link saffron with cancer prevention, energy enhancement, immune strengthening, asthma relief, depression treatment, Alzheimer’s protection, and menstrual cramp relief.

Experts say that you can double saffron’s benefits by combining it with the vision-boosting nutrients alpha-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin, and cyaniding-3-glucoside.   read more

Out of a Very Dark Night – A Miracle of Life / Aspirin and Cancer Prevention /

Photo Long Before We Met

Out of a very dark night.

The Holy Bible is filled
with stories of God’s Miracles.
But miracles, my Friends,
fill our everyday lives as
the Hand of God
hovers over your Heart.
He waits for you,
to let the Love
in your precious Heart
flow through you and from Him
and out into the World,
into the very beautiful Hearts
that abound all around.
Into those in need
of Forgiveness,
in need of someone
to care,
in need of the Miracle
of your warm smile,
your kind word,
in need of Love.
 1

Miracles abound
all around.
You are a miracle,
a Blessed and very precious
and very Human being.

The fact that you are alive
is a Miracle!

And the Miracle of your Life
is far beyond amazing.
This wonderful Gift of Life
is what God has truly Blessed us with.

From our Friends at
AllAboutGOD.com:

Could life have evolved randomly?
No!
Not according to
Mathematicians
and other scientists.

Prominent scientists have attempted
to calculate the odds
that a single-celled organism
could result by the chance combining
of pre-existent building blocks.

Harold Morowitz calculated the odds
as one chance in 10100,000,000,000.

The odds are staggering.

“We are led cent by dollar
from a lowly pile of common materials
to a grand Philosophical conclusion,
the infinite preciousness of every person.”
– Harold Joseph Morowitz

The odds led Fred Hoyle to state
that the probability of spontaneous generation
is about the same as the probability
that a tornado sweeping through a junk yard
could assemble a Boeing 747
from the contents.

Mathematicians tell us that any event
with an improbability greater than
one chance in 1050
is in the realm of metaphysics
a Miracle.

“If you go back 10 generations (250 years)
the chance of you being born at all
is at most 1 divided by 6 x 10100 or
1 in 60000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000.
In gambling,
even a chance of 1 to 100 is not worth a gamble.
Are you ever lucky to be alive!”  read more

Morowitz

Physicist Harold Marowitz,
Professor of molecular Biophysics
and Biochemistry at Yale University,
used Physics calculations in concluding,
that it is more likely
you would win the state lottery
every week for a million years
by purchasing just one ticket each week,
than reassembling a single bacterium
by chance.

robert_shapiroRobert Shapiro,
N. Y. University Professor of Chemistry   and DNA expert,
calculated the probability
of the 2,000 types of proteins
in a simple bacterium
coming into existence by chance
is the astronomical figure equivalent to
1 followed by 40,000 zeroes.

“The improbability involved in
generating even one bacterium
is so large that it
reduces all considerations of time and space

to nothingness.”
– Robert Shapiro

Hoyle

       Hoyle

Sir Fred Hoyle
was Plumian Professor in Mathematics at Cambridge University
and Director of the Institute
of Theoretical Astronomy.
He compared the probability of life
arising by chance
to lining up blind people,
giving each one a scrambled Rubik’s Cube and finding that they all solve the cube
at the same moment.

Crick

      Crick

Francis Crick,
molecular biologist, biophysicist, and neuroscientist,
and winner of the Nobel Prize in Biology
for his work with the DNA molecule, stated:
“An honest man,
armed with all the knowledge available
to us now,
could only state that,
in some sense,

the origin of life appears at the moment
to be almost a miracle,

so many are the conditions
which would have had to have been satisfied
to get it going.”

My Dear Friends,

Marie Anderson

Marie Anderson

How well I remember
finding my precious Mother,
Marie,
lying in her bed,
literally in a pool
of her own blood.
She was rushed
to Baylor Medical Center.

I am in tears
as I share this with you.
They are tears
of Joy
and Thanksgiving.

The Surgeon visited with me
shortly before proceeding with
exploratory surgery.
And he shared with me
a sad truth.
I asked a simple question
and he gave me
the simple truth:
“Is there any Hope?”
No,
he whispered.
“What is the chance
that she can survive?”
None.
And then I searched his eyes
for any sign of Hope
and asked,
“What are her chances?”
He replied with great compassion
in his voice:
There is a one hundred percent
probability
that she will not survive
this night.
We will do what we can.
But, No.
Dr. Anderson, there is
no Hope.
Her condition is such
that she cannot survive
whatever is causing
this very massive loss of blood.
She is dying from cancer.
I’m sorry.”

I do not know how,
but I made my way
to the little Chapel
in the Hospital.

And there I cried
and cried and cried.
I begged God
not to take the Life
of this precious Mother.
I Prayed.
And through the tears
I could barely see.
But through the years,
I could clearly see.
What a Blessing
Life can be
when someone Loves you
as much
as she Loved me.

                               In awesome wonder

I shared the Love
I had felt though the years
with my Lord.
I expressed my deep gratitude,
over and over again,
for her very precious Life.
I shared the need
to have her with me
a little longer.
I told my God,
“I still need her in my Life.
Please, let me have her
a little longer.”

I was in
so much pain.

And then
my Communion
with the Lord
suddenly ended.
A strange feeling,
a quiet Peace,
came to my Heart.
I never felt anything
like it before.

I looked around
and the good Doctor
was quietly standing behind me.
The look on his face
astonished me.
It shocked me.
I could not understand it.
It was a look
I never expected.
Why was he looking
through me
with such an amazement
in his tired eyes?
He was speechless
for a very long time.
He just looked
into my eyes
and looked through me.

After what seemed like
an Eternity,
he spoke
in a hushed and whispered
voice:
“I could not find anything wrong.
I think she will be all right now.”
I could barely speak.
I thanked him
and he very, very slowly
walked away
into a darkening hallway,
and I walked out of
a very dark night.

My Mother lived
for another twelve
and one half years.

Yes,
my tears
are of Joy
and Thanksgiving.

My Precious Lord,
how Great Thou Art.

Goodnight.

The Aspirin – Cancer Link

Taking a low-dose aspirin daily is a common prescription for those at high risk for heart attack and stroke. Research within the last few years is pointing to another possible benefit of aspirin.

When taken regularly, it may also help reduce your risk for certain cancers, particularly colon and gastrointestinal cancers. The benefits, however, may still not outweigh the risks. Check with your Doctor.

In 2012, world-renowned aspirin expert Professor Peter Rothwell of Oxford University and colleagues published three studies in The Lancet journal that suggested that if you are middle-aged, taking a low-dose aspirin every day could slash your risk for various cancers in as few as 2 to 3 years! According to Rothwell, taking an aspirin a day may also help to prevent an existing localized cancer from metastasizing (spreading to other parts of the body), a finding that holds promise for current cancer patients who may likewise receive some benefit from supplementing with aspirin.

A study published this year in JAMA Oncology showed that taking a low-dose aspirin every day may lower your risk for colon cancer by 19%, your risk for gastrointestinal cancer by 15% and your overall cancer risk by 3%. The benefits appeared after 6 years of supplementation.

Senior researcher Dr. Andrew Chan, from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston explained: “That makes sense, because cancers don’t typically develop overnight. They take years to develop, so you would have to take aspirin for a long time to prevent cancer.”

According to Chan, aspirin impacts particular biological pathways that can cause cancer. Aspirin also helps to lower inflammation and possibly limit the number of cancer-causing proteins in the body.

The study analyzed data from the Nurses’ Health Study and the Health Professionals Follow-up Study, which followed 130,000 men and women over 30 years. While no link between aspirin and a lower risk for breast, prostate, or lung cancers was found, data did seem to suggest that when aspirin was taken 2 or more times a week it might prevent 17% of colon cancer diagnoses for those not screened with a colonoscopy, and 5-8% of colon cancer cases for those who are.

The very edge of never asking why.

My Precious Friends,
I wish to share with you
an unbelievably LENGTHY list of
KNOWN and POSSIBLE
things that cause CANCER.
Please take the time to study this list!
We are at war with ourselves.
Yes,
the enemy is us.
Our lifestyle and
our society
and corporate greed
have caused this
horrendous condition.

We can look down
on the pathetic depths
to which corporate America
has led us in order to
make money.

But enough
is enough.

Millions of our Loved ones,
neighbors,
and fellow citizens
have perished in misery.

Please ARM yourself
with the knowledge
you and your precious children
NEED to survive.

Compare these two lists
with the labels on the products
you wear, drive with, eat,
sleep and sit on, breathe, live and work with,
allow into your home, on your yard or
in your car –
anywhere in your presence.

When you find items made with
these horrible products
THROW  THEM  AWAY!

There is NO need to die a
miserable and painful death.

To avoid a future far worse
than you can imagine,
get smart, get educated, get busy, get involved and
read ALL the labels.
You have the strength and wisdom
to get rid of the garbage
polluting your life
and the very precious
life of your child.

With every moment you take

The 17th Century Ushered in Cancer. It wasn’t until the 17th century that the first reports of cancer appeared in scientific literature – such as cancer of the scrotum (found in chimney sweeps in 1775, caused by soot particles); and nasal cancer found in users of snuff (finely ground tobacco) in 1761.

The University of Manchester study indicates that cancer-causing factors exist only in modern, industrialized societies—and cancer is fueled by the excesses of modern life.

The food you eat … the air you breathe … the clothes you wear … the water you drink … the personal care products you use … the medications you take … the water you bathe in … virtually everything you consume, and everything you do – or are exposed to – causes cancer these days!
Here are Just a Few Factors Present in  Modern Life That Cause Cancer:

Tobacco (including second-hand and third-hand smoke)
Genetically modified food
Most laundry detergents
Commercial hair dyes
Air pollution (including carbon monoxide, methylene
chloride, and acrolein)
Granite countertops (which emit radon)
Rancid peanuts and seeds
Canola oil
Canned tomatoes
Food laced with pesticides
Chemicals from aerosol cans
Mammograms
X-Rays
Food microwaved in plastic containers (including
plastic wrap, the plastic trays that come with frozen
TV dinners, and even plastic baby bottles)
Environmental pollutants (such as asbestos, benzene, and
formaldehyde)

Professor Rosalie David, at the Faculty of Life Sciences, said:
“There is Nothing in the Natural Environment That Can Cause Cancer … So It Has to Be a Man-Made Disease.”

National Toxicology Program (NTP) is formed from parts of several different US government agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The NTP updates its Report on Carcinogens (RoC) every few years.

The Report on Carcinogens identifies 2 groups of agents:

  1. Known to be human carcinogens”
    2. “Reasonably anticipated to be human carcinogens”
The current version of the RoC lists about 240 substances and exposures:Known human carcinogens

sun

Eyes are blinded by this rising Sun.

Lightning strikes,
and the drum beat of Love
reflects the sound
of another Heart,
the One from
Above.

Eyes are blinded
by this rising Sun,
like the death of night
when time
was begun.

a_021

   Miracles abound and all around.

Our World
blazes bright
as we come
within sight
of someone
we truly Love.
And the song we hear,
from the joy we feel,
becomes the music
of our tears,
falling through
the years.

a_068

Blessed days countless in number.

We come
from a past
so frail
in our deeds,
Infrequent in our dance,
celebration
with little elation,
almost unknown romance,
so unaware
of the tides
washing aplenty upon
our shores,
of Blessed days,
Sacred nights,
countless in number
to adore.

a_081

Open your eyes to the Love all around.

My Dear Friends,
Miracles abound,
and all around.
And this day,
today,
is the most Beautiful
I have found.

Open your Heart,
open your eyes,
to the Love
all around:
in the eyes
of our children,
in the smiles
of our friends,
in the fellowship
of our neighbors,
in the precious Life
God has given us
to savor.

This joyous moment
can last
your whole life long.
Just remember the words
to your song,
and sing along.

Goodnight.

“Greater He
that is in you
than he
that is in the world.”

 Startling Things You Never Suspected
Could Cause Cancer (but they do)
by Danica Collins

Most laundry detergents (The 1,4-dioxane found in laundry detergent is particularly harmful in the fact that the chemical binds easily to water and remains there. Even after water containing the chemical has been purified and filtered, low levels have been detected, indicating that it is not easily removed from water.

DSC03445

I’m done with the nap and the Sun!

Numerous water supplies across the country have been found to be tainted with 1,4-dioxane. Try PENTA water (my favorite). Expensive? Well, a little pricey. But CHEAP compared to a stay in the hospital. And not painful at all. In fact, the company advertises that it “gives you a feeling of well being”. I found this to be true. Place it in the refrigerator and get it cold. Then drink a full bottle when you get up in the morning. Yes, you will have a feeling of well being. This good clean water, with a great taste, makes me float around the house for a long time. It’s not just an advertising line, it is true. Our fragile human bodies react beautifully to the good things, and the things that are good for you in life.

DSC03492

Hi. I’m Lila. And I own this place.

20 different laundry detergents from both conventional and “natural” brands were evaluated in one study. Evoxa, an independent, third-party laboratory that is highly respected for its rigorous methods and high standards, conducted all product testing. The results are as follows:

Conventional brands:
1. Tide (P&G) – 55 parts per million (ppm) Gulp!
2. Ivory Snow Gentle (P&G) – 31 ppm
3. Tide Free (P&G) – 29 ppm
4. Purex (Dial Corp.) – 25 ppm
5. Gain 2X Ultra (P&G) – 21 ppm
6. Cheer BrightClean Detergent (P&G) – 20 ppm
7. Era 2X Ultra (P&G) – 14 ppm
8. Arm & Hammer (Church & Dwight Co.) – 5.0 ppm
9. Wisk 2X Ultra (Sun Products Corp.) – 3.9 ppm
10. Woolite Complete Detergent (Reckitt Benckiser) – 1.3 ppm
11. All laundry detergent (Unilever) – 0.6 ppm
12. Dreft powdered detergent (P&G) – non-detectable (ND)
13. Sun Burst (Sun Products Corp.) – ND

“Natural” brands:
1. Planet Ultra Liquid detergent – 6.1 ppm
2. Mrs. Meyers laundry detergent – 1.5 ppm
3. Clorox Green Works Natural detergent – ND
4. Ecos laundry detergent (Earth Friendly Products) – ND This is the product my family uses.
5. Life Tree Laundry Liquid – ND
6. Method Squeaky Green laundry detergent – ND
7. Seventh Generation Free & Clear laundry detergent – ND

Now, what do I do? This reminds me of the time when, in 1984, I finally realized that smoking tobacco was going to kill me and death would come in a very painful and miserable way. Yes, I left the good Doctor’s office, and thought about what he said: “Bill, remember, ALL SMOKERS QUIT!”. I toddled home, and THREW AWAY all tobacco products, including my beloved briar wood pipe.

Yes, throw all the dangerous products away. TODAY. The very best investment you can possibly make is in the health and safety of your children and yourself. If you hesitate, it could be the costliest moment in your life or the life of your child.

Did you know the further away from the equator you go, the higher the level of vitamin d deficiency diseases such as  multiple sclerosis, Dementia (Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia),  Prostate cancer, Schizophrenia, and Heart disease. Symptoms of deficiency include pain, muscle weakness, increased blood pressure, and depression. read more

Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin because the body naturally produces it when the skin is directly exposed to sunlight. You can also get the necessary daily amount through your diet or supplements. Vitamin D-rich foods include milk, cheese, and fatty fish like tuna, salmon, and mackerel. Certain foods such as cereals, orange juice, soy products, yogurt, and margarine are sometimes fortified with vitamin D.

The National Institutes of Health recommends that most adults get about 600 IUs (International Units) of vitamin D daily.

If you never Love, how long will that last?

This moment is precious.
And this very second
Shall not last,
But an Eternity.

Never
Can be an Eternity,
Forever.

If you never laughed,
If you never cried,
If you never said Hello,

Would the laughter

And what
If you never Loved?
How long
Will that last?
Eternity
Can be forever
Or forever never.

Every cubic inch of space is a miracle.

Miracles
by Walt Whitman

Walt Whitman“Why, who makes much of a miracle?
As to me I know of nothing else but miracles.

Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan,
Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky,
Or wade with naked feet along the beach
just in the edge of the water,

Or stand under trees in the woods,
Or talk by day with any one I love,
or sleep in the bed at night

with any one I love,
Or sit at table at dinner with the rest,
Or look at strangers opposite me riding in the car,
Or watch honey-bees busy around the hive
of a summer forenoon,

Or animals feeding in the fields,
Or birds, or the wonderfulness of insects in the air,
Or the wonderfulness of the sundown,
or of stars shining so quiet
and bright,
Or the exquisite delicate thin curve
of the new moon in spring;

These with the rest, one and all,
are to me miracles,

The whole referring,
yet each distinct and in its place.

To me every hour of the light and dark
is a miracle,

Every cubic inch of space
is a miracle,

Every square yard of the surface of the earth
is spread with the same,

Every foot of the interior swarms with the same.
To me the sea
is a continual miracle,

The fishes that swim – the rocks –
the motion of the waves –
the
ships with men in them,
What stranger miracles are there?”
Walt Whitman

Scientists have discovered, though, that chronic stress can lead to high levels of inflammation in your body – and set the stage for heart disease, depression and even cancer to develop.

How?

Stress changes the gene activity of your immune cells before they enter your bloodstream. It prepares them to fight infection or trauma – even if there is none to fight. And that causes your inflammation levels to soar.

In a study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers analyzed the immune cells taken from stressed mice’s blood and compared them to non-stressed mice. They found 3,000 genes in the stressed mice’s immune cells that were expressed at higher or lower levels – and 1,142 of the more highly activated genes played a part in making the immune cells more inflammatory.

How Do We Live, Not Merely Exist? / Vitamin D Prevents Cancer / In Philosophy: Waking Life / Friday Trip: Half Price Books and Movies

“The proper function of man
is to live,
not to exist.”
– Jack London

a_010

We are precariously and very briefly perched upon this beautiful planet.

How Do We Live,
Not Merely Exist?

BE  YOURSELF

And how do you do that?
And who am I?
Perhaps we will
never know.

But this much we are aware of:
we grew up trying to be
the person you wanted,
you expected,
you demanded,
you approved of,
you were proud of,
you were disappointed in.
And you now have,
Whatever that is.

That’s me,
And that’s you!

a_014

Have Faith that things will work out.

And today,
from our experience
we have finally come to realize
that one of the single greatest gifts
we can pass on,
bestow upon tomorrow’s child,
is to simply,
“let it be”.

“And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light
that shines on me.

Shine on until tomorrow,
let it be,
let it be.
– The Beatles

My Dear Friends,
we need to laugh
at the confusion that prevails,
it is hilarious!

The illogical, superficial,
and arrogant attitudes
toward what we do,
collectively and as individuals
of unbelievable perfunctory indifference
toward the nature of our reality,
can be really funny.
So why not enjoy it?

“Do not take life too seriously.
You will never get out of it alive.”

   Where is the average person?

If we can laugh at our mistakes,
and I do mean, “out loud“,
we can, in a more positive manner,
actually take some credit for them,
(here is where you take a bow)
and allow for them to become acceptable
lessons learned on this all too difficult
path of life.

And you get three guesses
as to who made it difficult,
and the first two
don’t count!

We are so perfectly and beautifully
imperfect,
that the result is:
there is simply no one
we can call normal
or average.
(Thank God!)

“Normal
is a setting
on a washing machine.”
– author obviously not normal and unknown

  Stop thinking about yourself.

I counsel with others,
especially children,
to make at least one mistake
on purpose,
daily.

This creates a highly controlled
learning opportunity.
It admits to our humanity.
It opens the window
of our awareness.

Children, of all ages,
view it as time for a
great practical joke.
(Mrs. A became the master of this.
Which is another reason
I Love her!)

When she speaks to me,
I always pause to reflect upon
what is really going on.
We have learned over the years
not to take life so seriously.
Super serious attitudes
lead to stress, strokes,
and striking out.

The lighter side of Life
Is also a great adventure
and a broad avenue of opportunity
that may lead to
being on Comedy Central,
finding a new friend,
falling deeply in Love,
or stumbling up to the Altar
and saying, “I did”
instead of, “I do”.

a_055

A broad avenue of opportunity.

Creating us,
proves to me,
that God
has a sense of humor.

We almost always act like
we are going to survive
this very brief existence.
And the truth is:
we are precariously
and very briefly perched
upon this beautiful planet.

a_051

It opens the window of our awareness.

Live in the moment.

One of my very favorite expressions is:

“Now remember,
We are just a nice normal family”.

You know,
I am always wondering,
where is this normal family?
Where is the average person?

“Normal”
Is Also a Dryer Setting.

We go through life thinking
I am too short,
Too tall,
Too fat? Too whatever?
Ever get stuck
in a comparison cycle,
pursuing the
unattainable?

Yes you have!

My Friends,
I have news for you:
A NORMAL child
simply does not exist.
That is an illusion.
If not,
Please introduce to me to one.
One will be sufficient!
(Now, don’t drag your child up here!
He or she will embarrass you
in a highly abnormal manner.)

“Only ONE person in 6,500
could be credited with achieving true
averageness in every measurable respect.
That person having molded himself into
the nicest, dullest and most proper
“freak of normalcy” for miles around.”
– Guy Murchie

Our exceptionality is but one
of one of the things
that make us,
and our lives,
so very interesting
and very, very beautiful.

We are all a
modern work of art,
You know,
expensive,
different,
museum quality
and something
no one understands.

a_054

                      Who am I?

But can you imagine how dull,
how terminally boring
would life be
surrounded by a plethora
of normal, average human beings.
What would we ever talk about?

a_020

         Today is your property.

My Dear Friends,
stop worrying, wondering, and doubting.
Have Faith
that things will work out.
And if they don’t,
well, my fellow humanoid,
celebrate!
You now have something to talk about,
something to laugh at
and something to think about.
And hey,
you did not worry about it!

              We all live for Love.

“A hundred years from now
it will not matter
what my bank account was,

the sort of house I lived in,
or the kind of car I drove,
but the world may be different
because I was important
in the life of a child.”
– Forest E. Witcraft

The past,
if left undenied,
can become a thief.
Don’t let the past steal today.
Today is your property,
your beautiful gift from God.

You’ve got to love this life.
If not,
you are probably
going to hate it.

And how do you Love it?

Well,
it’s actually quite simple:
quit thinking so much about it.
And stop thinking about yourself.
Think about someone else!
That’s called Love.
And when you Love others,
they Love you back.
And Life, my friend,
is good to live
again.

We all live
for Love.

And if you think deeply about it,
Love is the only thing
worth living for.

Yes,
it is that simple.

Now,
go to bed
in a really dark bedroom.
Your body needs to produce
melatonin
to fight cancer!

And tomorrow,
wake up and do more good
than you ever thought possible
for someone else.
And tomorrow night,
you will sleep well,
And wake up the next day
deeply Loved
by someone else,
and
happy.

“We know
that for those who love God
all things work together for good,
for those who are called
according to his purpose.”
– Romans 8:28

Remember,
turn out all the lights,
It needs to totally dark
when you are asleep
to prevent cancer.

Sleeping while exposed to light at night
causes a dramatic drop
in blood melatonin levels,
setting the stage
for growth and proliferation
of breast cancer cells
and other cancer cells.

I Love You.

“Don’t hang around
and let your problems surround you.

There are movie shows downtown.
Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close.

And you may find somebody kind
to help and understand you

Someone who is just like you
and needs a gentle hand to

Guide them along.

So maybe I’ll see you there
We can forget all our troubles,
forget all our cares.”

Do more good than you ever thought possible for someone else.

In Our Philosophy Class on Thursday
we
will view and discuss
Waking Life

Waking Life is about a young man in a persistent lucid dream-like state. He observes and later participates in philosophical discussions of issues such as reality, free will, the relationship of the subject with others, and the meaning of life.

Along the way the film touches on other topics including existentialism, situationist politics, post humanity, the theory of André Bazin, and lucid dreaming itself. Waking Life, is a reference to the philosopher George Santayana’s maxim: Sanity is a madness put to good uses; waking life is a dream controlled.

Director Richard Linklater has created a masterpiece of philosophy and film with Waking Life. The film is beautifully done. The cinematography is wonderful with a stellar soundtrack and well-placed philosophical discussion that runs throughout the film.

Linklater possesses a substantial understanding of philosophy.  The philosophical ideas explored in this film are well thought out. The presentation of these ideas and the eccentric personalities of those presenting them makes for a very thought provoking experience.

The movie presents a plethora of philosophical ideas from many different view points. The vivid imagery of the scenes combined with the deeply philosophical content makes this an extraordinary film. The beautiful animation combined with the philosophical input makes Waking Life one of the most interesting films you’re likely to ever see.

  1. stop mutated cells from forming and spreading;
  2. cause diseased cells to commit “cell suicide” – i.e., cause them to literally self-destruct;
  3. causes the differentiation of cells (Cancer cells are often undifferentiated, and this causes them to reproduce faster);
  4. reduce the probability that dormant tumors will regenerate into cancerous cells by inhibiting the growth of blood vessels in those areas.

Living Is But One Dimension / Prevent Cancer in Your Home / Tuesday, Jan. 5 We Begin Again

There is so much more
To Life,
Than Life.

Amazing_Water_Lily_flower_beautiful

There is more to what exists.

Living is but one
Dimension of existence.
It is a very narrow fragment.
Life is a very thin sliver
Of awareness,
Of who we are,
What we know,
What can be.

The Water Lily,
So fragile, delicate and beautiful,
Floats upon the surface
Of its reality,
Much like you and me,
Never knowing, unaware,
Of what lies beneath,
In the waters of Life,
Majestic, dark and deep.

ws_Water_Lilies_Pond_1920x1200

This time is your true Treasure.

What lurks below
Is unknown,
And the distance
May be vast,
Much like the way
To what lies above,
To the infinity of stars,
Far beyond what
The Water Lily
filled with Life,
Or we,
May ever know.

And the narrow path forward,
Around and beyond,
Is the horizon,
The limit of what we see,
But not of what is,
Not what can be.

“There are more things
in Heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of
in our philosophy.”

– Hamlet, First Folio (1623),
by William Shakespeare

There is so much more
To what exists,
And whatever will be,
To what our minds can imagine,
Where we truly are,
Where we can go,
What we can see.

l

Fragile, delicate and beautiful, as are you and me.

My Friends,
The wind beneath
The wings of your longing
Can lift your Spirit
To heights so Heavenly,
Only dreams aspire,
Only Angels see.

lilies

There is so much more to Life.

For you are Lovingly made
Of Angelic Dust,
Formed within a Beautiful Dream,
By a God that deeply Loves you,
Knows your every desire,
Every need,
Every longing,
In every moment
To be.

Fragrant Water Lilies

The wings of your longing can lift your Spirit.

Rejoice,
My Dear Friends.
Take comfort in this brief moment
Made for you and me.
This time is your true Treasure,
God’s precious Gift beyond belief,
As you may come one day
To see.

“Surely a man goes about
as a shadow!

Surely for nothing
they are in turmoil.”

– Psalm 39:5-6

This time on Earth
Is all we have,
All we need,
To share who we are,
Be all we can be,
To Love so deeply
No one is left in need,
And Life is fulfilled
Beyond what we
Are able to see.

The ground beneath your feet
Bears the weight of your Dignity.
Yes, it carries more than you and me.
For we walk upon this Sacred Soil
With our hopes and dreams,
The Sanctity of our Being,
Our wishes for all Humanity,
The Destiny of our deep desires,
The discovery of our Divinity.

Across the great divide
Of fear and doubt,
Lies this Sacred Land
Found only in dreams.
And as Spirits soar
In our search for
Everlasting Love,
We discover our Home
In the Heart of One
We Adore.

We are so very much more

Is carried gently
On the Wings of Prayer.
There
You will be.

Prevent Cancer in Your Home in 6 Easy Steps

cancer-prevention-266x300

There are many steps you can take –
in your home, your lifestyle and your body –
to drastically reduce your lifetime cancer risk.

Hey folks,
This is easy!
It is just common sense.

Toxic cleaning products
in your home drastically increase your cancer risk –
especially BREAST cancer risk for the females
who tend to use them most often.

Women have been shown to absorb
as much as FIVE pounds of toxins
through the skin each year.

Do we have your attention
YET?

We are destroying our immune system’s
ability to fight germs and infection
by overwhelming our environment
with antibacterial products.

The BEST product to use
for general household cleaning is
(GRIP YOUR KEYBOARD TIGHTLY –
HERE IT COMES):

simple soap and water.

Hey, it gets even easier.

Choose Organic

We have known how dangerous
pesticides are for decades.
By choosing organically grown vegetables
and organically raised animal products
you limit your amount of exposure.

This is especially important
when it comes to “soft” fruits and vegetables
– such as peaches and tomatoes –
that absorb more insecticides and chemicals
than thicker-skinned varieties.

If you think ORGANIC is more expensive –
try a month in the hospital.
Pay that bill,
then look forward to going home
to slowly and painfully
die.

Come on folks,
wake up!
How simple do you want
me to say it.

I Love You.

And yes,
that is reason enough
to hit you between the eyes
with the truth!

The chemicals used in dry cleaning
have been linked to several forms of cancer.

So before you drop off your clothing,
and that of your loved ones,
at the dry cleaners,
THINK
Do I really want to die in this way?

Yes,
My friends.
It is that simple.

Please read more.
cancerAnd in an update of December 17, 2015:
Cancer is overwhelmingly
a result of environmental factors.

only 10-30% of cancers were down

A few minutes of reading,
coupled with a relatively small dose

can prevent a horrible death.
And I do mean
horrible.

I have lost so very many loved ones,
including my precious Mother, Marie,
friends, neighbors, a deeply loved student,
Aaron Rivera,
fellow teachers I truly admired and loved
and so many others to this horrible
and preventable malady.

The thought of losing
you
I cannot bear.

And now,
I simply must close.
I cannot see through
the tears.
