The Fruit of the Tree / How to Be Happy / Friday: Civil War Museum

                       The Canvass of God’s Grace.

You
are part
of an Everlasting
Love.

Let your worries
depart.
Run away
from dark clouds
that stay.

You
can be Happy
when the moment descends
that finds you
placing your Trust
in God.

Trust
in the Lord
is a good place
to start,
for His Love
will never
depart.

In
the Light
of God’s Love,
you will see
far into Forever
past tomorrow,
past every sorrow.

The fruit
of the Tree
never clings
to the branch
to stay.

He stirs the Infinite Beauty of the Sky.

As your memories
search for you,
they may mistake you
for the glassy eyes
staring back
in the mirror
of Life.
.

But the Crystal Image
of your Dreams
can be realized.
Once upon a time
is yet to be.
The true realities of Life
and Love,
we have yet
to see.

The decision
is yours!

In the painted Sky
is the Canvass
of God’s Grace.
His Breath,
the Breath that gave us
Life and Love,
He stirs
in the Infinite Beauty
of the Sky,
reflecting
Infinite Love
from above.

“The Spirit of God hath made me,
and the Breath of the Almighty
hath given me Life.”
Job 33:4

The structure
of every Human Being,
and of every
compassionate thought
that takes us captive,
is born by the Knowledge and Wisdom
of God.
And like the Human Heart itself,
reveals His Love.

 My Dear Friends,
in a very real way
the past,
with all its promises,
was made
of
you and me.

We
were there,
throughout all of History.
The DNA of you
and of me,
was passed down
through many, many generations
of WE,
who wrote every line
of every song
ever sung.

We are part
of everyone,
of every moment,
today,
yesterday,
and of every tomorrow
that will ever be.

You are
a Child of God.
And you will always
be.

Goodnight.

.

Let’s Love Life / CANCER CAUSING EFFECTS OF MICROWAVE COOKING / Friday: Texas Civil War Museum

Let’s Love Life.

And live a Life
that places the affective domain,
our feelings, emotions, attitudes,
motivations, and appreciation,
far above the cognitive.

Stop
thinking with your Brain!
And let your
Heart
guide your Life.

“The choice you face constantly
is whether you are taking your hurts
to your head or to your Heart.
In your head you can analyze them,
find their causes and consequences,
and coin words to speak and write about them.
But no final healing is likely to come from that source.
You need to let your wounds go down into your Heart.
Then you can live them through and discover
that they will not destroy you.
Your Heart
is greater than your wounds.”

– Henri Nouwen,
“The Inner Voice of Love”

That we think is the problem
so much of the time.

Many studies have shown
that while trying to control the world with our mind
we cause even more anxiety.

We need to trust more
in the healing power of our
Hearts.

My Dear Friends,
Life
is simply too short
not to be happy.
In fact,
being happy
is the only goal
one should have
in this brief existence.
Everything else,
our problems, worries and fears,
dissolve or resolve
when this goal is
accomplished.

“Judge not,
that you be not judged.”
– Matthew 7: 1-2

With judgment
you pronounce you will be judged,
and with the measure you use
it will be measured to you.

Let’s try
to eliminate the obstacles
that lead us to
Joy.
These include highly linear thinking,
excessive expectations,
judging everything and everyone,
and focusing on the negative.
These simplistic things
have resulted in horrendous
outcomes:

Suicides and drug overdoses pushed up
deaths in the United States last year
and caused a continuing decline
in how long Americans
are expected to live.

“These sobering statistics are a wake-up call
that we are losing too many Americans,
too early and too often,
to conditions that are
PREVENTABLE
,
according to Dr. Robert Redfield of the CDC.

The suicide death rate last year was
the highest it’s been in at least 50 years.
There were more than 47,000 suicides
in this country,
up from under 45,000 the year before.

 These latest numbers
were just released
on November 29.

Our Country is in the longest period
of a declining life expectancy since the late 1910’s,
when World War I and the worst flu pandemic
in modern history combined
to kill nearly 1 million Americans.

“We’ve never really seen anything like this,”
according to Robert Anderson of the CDC.

Perfectionism
kills more people on this planet
than you would ever
imagine –
over a million EVERY year.
Many of these precious people
were very young.

Human Beings
are fragile.
Especially
our Children.

They should be treated
as such.
They are far too precious
to be treated in the harsh, linear
and overly strict manner
our schools have
devolved into.

   They are far too precious.

NOTHING
that can be learned
is worth the price
of losing your Child’s
precious personality,
innate motivation,
and Love of Life.

Folks,
this is YOUR country.
This is YOUR Life.
And this is YOUR
Child.

The most important factor
for the happiness of your children
will be
YOUR attitude toward
Life.

The Life of a Child
will reflect
everything
in your Life.

If
you project
a relaxed, jovial, amiable
humorous
and fun LOVING
way of living,
your child will be
excited
about Life and Love,
and about
being with YOU!

We SIMPLY must stop creating
learning and home environments
that have such high expectations,
that Life becomes
miserable
and no longer
what we look forward to.

As the most intelligent Man
of his generation,
Ben Franklin,
famously said,
Moderation in ALL things,
including moderation.”

Hey,
he lived to be
an old man.

By the way,
he invented many things.
One of these
he is never really recognized for:
it is called
the
United States of America.

The greatest Gift
is the knowledge
that we are
NOT
perfect.

Thank God!

I advise students
to make at least ONE
mistake –
on purpose,
every day.
That way,
they can take credit
for it,
and have some FUN.

Relax.

Enjoy your little one’s
brief childhood.
It will be over
before
you wake up.

Do
whatever makes your child
Happy.
Then,
and ONLY then,
slip the learning in
under the rug.
And make sure
it is always followed
with a BIG hug.

Don’t be
in the presence
of your children
without a smile.

Laugh
at your precious child’s mistakes.
And then,
talk about your own.
(tell the truth)
You are both
Human.

Life,
is a Treasure Trove
of Joy.
Or
it is nothing
at all.

And have another
Happy Thanksgiving.
Have one every day
for the rest of your
Life.
We have much
to give thanks
for.

Goodnight.

CANCER CAUSING EFFECTS OF
MICROWAVE COOKING

Creation of a “binding effect” to radioactivity in the atmosphere, causes a marked increase in the amount of alpha and beta particle saturation in foods;

Creation of cancer causing agents within protein hydrolysate compounds* in milk and cereal grains [*these are natural proteins that are split into unnatural fragments by the addition of water];

Alteration of elemental food-substances, causing disorders in the digestive system by unstable catabolism* of foods subjected to microwaves [*the metabolic breakdown process];

Due to chemical alterations within food substances, malfunctions were observed within the lymphatic systems [absorbent vessels], causing a degeneration of the immune potentials of the body to protect against certain forms of neoplastics [abnormal growths of tissue];

Ingestion of microwaved foods caused a higher percentage of cancerous cells within the blood serum [cytomas – cell tumors such as sarcoma];

Microwave emissions caused alteration in the catabolic [metabolic breakdown] behavior of glucoside [hydrolyzed dextrose] and galactoside [oxidized alcohol] elements within frozen fruits when thawed in this manner;

Microwave emission caused alteration of the catabolic [metabolic breakdown] behavior of plant alkaloids [organic nitrogen based elements] when raw, cooked, or frozen vegetables were exposed for even extremely short durations;

Cancer causing free radicals [highly reactive incomplete molecules] were formed within certain trace mineral molecular formations in plant substances, and in particular, raw root-vegetables; and,

In a statistically high percentage of persons, microwaved foods caused stomach and intestinal cancerous growths, as well as a general degeneration of peripheral cellular tissues, with a gradual breakdown of the function of the digestive and excretive systems.

Microwave exposure caused significant decreases in the nutritive value of all foods researched. The following are the most important findings:

1. A decrease in the bioavailability [capability of the body to utilize the nutriment] of B-complex vitamins, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, essential minerals and lipotropics in all foods;

2. A loss of 60-90% of the vital energy field content of all tested foods;

3. A reduction in the metabolic behavior and integration process capability of alkaloids [organic nitrogen based elements], glucosides and galactosides, and nitrilosides;

4. A destruction of the nutritive value of nucleoproteins in meats;

5. A marked acceleration of structural disintegration in all foods.

BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE

Exposure to microwave emissions also had an unpredictably negative effect upon the general biological welfare of humans. This was not discovered until the Russians experimented with highly sophisticated equipment and discovered that a human did not even need to ingest the material substance of the microwaved food substances: that even exposure to the energy-field itself was sufficient to cause such adverse side effects that the use of any such microwave apparatus was forbidden in 1976 by Soviet state law.

The following are the enumerated effects:

1. A breakdown of the human “life-energy field” in those who were exposed to microwave ovens while in operation, with side-effects to the human energy field of increasingly longer duration;

2. A degeneration of the cellular voltage parallels during the process of using the apparatus, especially in the blood and lymphatic areas;

3. A degeneration and destabilization of the external energy activated potentials of food utilization within the processes of human metabolism;

4. A degeneration and destabilization of internal cellular membrane potentials while transferring catabolic [metabolic breakdown] processes into the blood serum from the digestive process;

5. Degeneration and circuit breakdowns of electrical nerve impulses within the junction potentials of the cerebrum [the front portion of the brain where thought and higher functions reside];

6. A degeneration and breakdown of nerve electrical circuits and loss of energy field symmetry in the neuroplexuses [nerve centers] both in the front and the rear of the central and autonomic nervous systems;

7. Loss of balance and circuiting of the bioelectric strengths within the ascending reticular activating system [the system which controls the function of consciousness];

8. A long term cumulative loss of vital energies within humans, animals and plants that were located within a 500-meter radius of the operational equipment;

9. Long lasting residual effects of magnetic “deposits” were located throughout the nervous system and lymphatic system;

10. A destabilization and interruption in the production of hormones and maintenance of hormonal balance in males and females;

11. Markedly higher levels of brainwave disturbance in the alpha, theta, and delta wave signal patterns of persons exposed to microwave emission fields, and;

12. Because of this brainwave disturbance, negative psychological effects were noted, including loss of memory, loss of ability to concentrate, suppressed emotional threshold, deceleration of intellective processes, and interruptive sleep episodes in a statistically higher percentage of individuals subjected to continual range emissive field effects of microwave apparatus, either in cooking apparatus or in transmission stations.

Forensic Research Conclusions

From the above enumerated indications, the use of microwave apparatus is definitely not advisable; and, with the decision of the Soviet government in 1976, present scientific opinion in many countries concerning the use of such apparatus is clearly in evidence.

Due to the problem of random magnetic residulation and binding within the biological systems of the body, which can ultimately effect the neurological systems, primarily the brain and neuroplexuses (nerve centers), long term depolarization of tissue neuroelectric circuits can result. Because these effects can cause virtually irreversible damage to the neuroelectrical integrity of the various components of the nervous system (I. R. Luria, Novosibirsk 1975a), ingestion of microwaved foods is clearly contraindicated in all respects. Their magnetic residual effect can render the pyschoneural receptor components of the brain more subject to influence psychologically by artificially induced microwave radio frequency fields from transmission stations and TV relay-networks.

The theoretical possibility of psycho telemetric influence (the capability of affecting human behavior by transmitted radio signals at controlled frequencies) has been suggested by Soviet neuropsychological investigations at Uralyera and Novosibirsk (Luria and Perov, 1974a, 1975c, 1976a), which can cause involuntary subliminal psychological energy field compliance to operative microwave apparatus.

Reasons to Throw out your Microwave Oven

From the conclusions of the Swiss, Russian and German scientific clinical studies, we can no longer ignore the microwave oven sitting in our kitchens. Based on this research, we will conclude this article with the following:

1). Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term – permanent – brain damage by “shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].

2). The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.

3). Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.

4). The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.

5). Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.

6). The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.

7). Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.

8). The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.

9). Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.

10). Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.

The use of artificial microwave transmissions for subliminal psychological control, a.k.a. “brainwashing”, has also been proven. We’re attempting to obtain copies of the 1970’s Russian research documents and results written by Drs. Luria and Perov specifying their clinical experiments in this area.

The Hidden Hazards of Microwave Cooking

Recent research shows that microwave oven-cooked food suffers severe molecular damage. When eaten, it causes abnormal changes in human blood and immune systems.
Not surprisingly, the public has been denied details on these significant health dangers.

MICROWAVE Radiation Leakage

What is it?

Microwave radiation is odorless and invisible and therefore hard to detect.

Microwave oven radiation is present whenever a microwave oven is turned on.

The microwave energy causes the water molecules in the food to vibrate rapidly. This rapid vibration produces heat which, in turn, cooks the food. It can also penetrate through living tissue which is why exposure is harmful to our health. Once you turn off the oven, the microwaves disappear but until then, you may be exposing yourself to dangerous levels of radiation leakage.

Do Microwaves Leak?

A survey conducted among the Professional Service Associates, a group of microwave repair servicemen, indicated that over 56% of microwave ovens two years or older leaked levels of radiation 10% higher than the safety standards set by the FDA. More often than not, a simple adjustment was all that was needed to stop the leakage.

What Causes Microwave Ovens To Leak?

Slamming the oven door, dirt or food particles caught in the door seals and hinges.

For Love Alone / Fruits for Diabetes Patients / Friday: No School (Holiday)

We all share
a Beautiful Light.

It glows
soft as candle Light.
And,
it exists
for Love Alone.

It can never
be seen,
only felt.

“We have seen His Glory,
the Glory of the One and Only…
In Him was Life,
and Life was the Light of men.
The Light shines in the darkness,
but the darkness
has not understood it”
John 1:14 a,4,5

To find answers to our questions
of meaning,

the meaning of this Life,
we are compelled to venture forth
on an exploration of consciousness,
a Philosophical journey

into the mind of the
Heart.

A Love story within a Love story.

Each of us
longs to abandon the Life
we seemingly have led for years,
to embark upon an enthralling
adventure
that few have known –
an adventure that will take us
on a Journey
to the very Heart
of ourselves.

All the while,
we have unknowingly lived
in a Beautifully crafted,

well acted Love story,
within a Love story.
This tale
is of the pursuit of Love

and a passion to truly live this Life,
against all odds.
This story,
is our story,
enfolded within
the Beautiful Story
of God’s Love
for us.

                    Unknowingly.

My Dear Friends,
we are able
to transform the pain of Life
into ecstatic Beauty.
Pain is easy to portray,
but we can use our passion for Living,
and our longing for Love,
to ease our pain,
to portray the ecstasy and the Joy
and the magnificence of our World.

Only when you are lost
can you truly find yourself.

And if you keep looking,
you will find yourself,
in the Love you encounter
through the eyes of
another.

Inevitably we ask,
what should be done

with all the time that lies ahead of us,
open and unsure and unshaped?

Our existential journey
can find us venturing forth
into the great unknown
of the Human Heart
that beats within,
but for another.

               Beautifully crafted.

The way in which we Humans
move in and out of one another’s Lives,
has an unknown and profound effect.
Very much like moments
when the Sundown
pales the sky,
and there’s barely a breath of Life
left in this day.

Yes,
as a thing of Beauty
moves in and out
of our Lives,
the effect can be
profound.

Life is a succession of moments,
when we can discover
all the Beauty
that daily comes and goes.
And,
in discovering this Beauty
in the people all around us,
and in the Beautiful World
that surrounds us,
we come to know
who we are,
and what we really want.

“For the beauty of the Earth,
For the beauty of the skies
For the Love which from our birth
Over and around us lies.

For the beauty of the hour
Of the day and of the night
Hill and vale and tree and flower
Sun and moon and stars of light.

Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our Joyful hymn of Praise
For the Joy of Human Love
Brother, sister, parent, child
Friends on earth and friends above
For all gentle thoughts and mild
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our Joyful Hymn of Praise
For each perfect Gift of Thine
To our race so freely given
Graces Human and Divine
Flowers of Earth
and buds of Heaven.”
Folliott S. Pierpoint

We can experience
a true feeling of Peace,
that persists even in the reality of our troubles,
that transforms our quiet desperation
into a Beautiful calmness.

Let us thank God
for Life,
and for bringing
the Beauty of Love
into it.
Let us Pray for everyone –
that we may see
the Light of their precious lives
and all the Beauty
that dwells within.

May your dreams become reality,
and may your Life be filled
with God.

Goodnight.

Fruits for Diabetes Patients

Kiwi – Kiwi fruit is one of the most nutritious fruit with low glycemic index value ranges from 47 to 58. It is high in fiber and low in carbohydrates, which aids in controlling blood sugar levels and lowering cholesterol. It is a good source of many essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, fiber ,potassium, folates and high amounts of beta-carotene that offer protection from free radicals and improve overall health.

Pears – Pears are one of the best fruit choice for people who have Type 2 diabetes because pears are rich in fiber and low in carbohydrates and calories and have a rating of 38 on the glycemic index value.

Oranges – Oranges are a popular fruit because of their natural sweetness and numerous health benefits. They are low in calories and rich in fiber, vitamin C, thiamin, folate and potassium. Despite their sugar content, oranges have a low glycemic index, ranging from 31 to 51. The low glycemic index is explained by the fact that oranges are rich in polyphenols and fiber, which moderate the rise in blood sugar.

Strawberries – Strawberries are considered as one of the best superfoods for a diabetes meal plan because of its vitamins, antioxidants, dietary fiber, and lower sugar content. Several Studies show that eating strawberries in quantities of at least 2–3 servings per week can lower the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Strawberries are high in vitamin C and fibre, and low in carbohydrates and have a low glycemic index at 40.

Avocado – Avocados are low in carbohydrates which means they have little effect on blood sugar levels and rich in fiber, fats and calories. The fats mostly found in avocado are monounsaturated fats, the heart-healthy kind that can keep your blood cholesterol levels under control, and improve heart health. With so few carbohydrates, a high fiber content, and healthful fat, people with diabetes can enjoy an avocado in moderation without the stress of raising their blood sugar levels. One medium-sized avocado daily is good for diabetics.

Grapefruit – Grapefruit is one of the nutritious fruit choice for diabetics because it is high in soluble fiber, vitamins A, vitamin C and low in calories and has a low glycemic index at 25. It also contains flavonoid naringenin that helps diabetics to increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin and helps in losing extra fat from the body and maintain a healthy weight, which is a vital part of diabetes treatment.

Guava – Guava is a highly nutritious fruit choice for diabetes patients because it has a very high amounts of lycopene, dietary fiber and also rich in potassium, vitamin C, vitamin A, calcium and magnesium. Its fruit and tea of its leaves both are beneficial for diabetes patients as many research confirms that eating guava fruit without its skin can reduce the sugar absorption in your blood.

Black Plums – Black plums also known as Jambul or Jamun is the miracle fruit for diabetics. It has low glycemic index, which keeps the blood sugar levels normal. Soluble fibre in plums helps the stomach to empty at a slower rate, which affects blood sugar levels and has a beneficial effect on insulin sensitivity. The fruit helps to convert starch into energy and keep your blood sugar levels in check. It can also cure the symptoms of diabetes including excess urination and thirst. The extract of bark, seeds, and leaves are too beneficial in the treatment of diabetes.

Cherries – Cherries have a lowest glycemic index at 22 and don’t cause spikes in blood sugar levels. This makes cherries as one of the best fruit choice for diabetics. It also contain chemicals that boost insulin, which helps control blood sugar levels. The chemicals are called anthocyanins.

Apples – Apples are an excellent fruit to include in your diet if you have diabetes. The flesh and skin of apples are high in soluble fiber, vitamin C and other antioxidants. Fiber slows down the digestion and absorption of carbs, causing them to not spike your blood sugar rapidly.

a place he knew
as Paradise,
with just his precious
Mother’s voice
to soften the hard edges
of the hardwood bench,
the crisp night air,
the reflecting, echoing walls,
Life.

And I discover,
with the Love
of a Mother,
nothing else
in Life
truly matters.

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause Peace to return to our Hearts.”
Washington Irving

And My Mother’s precious Life
echoes back:

“If I never
would have lived,
I could not
die.
Death
is proof of
Life.
And Life,
my Son,
is proof of Love.”

       ………….It is YOU.

Life is bittersweet
and can be filled
with despair.

Upon a razor’s edge
are we cast
onto the stage
of a Magnificent Day,
that can quickly become
a long night
to stay.

As our minds reflect
upon Human misery,
the mirror of our awareness
shows the World can be
a terrible place.
The History
of the Human race
depicts something far less
than Humanity.

And the fear of death,
not knowing where we go,
or what takes place
after we tell
the brief story of our Life,
can become worse
than death itself.

My Dear Friends,
God dwells in your Heart.
And by His Strength and Grace
alone,
you are able
to overcome adversity.

Marie Anderson

Marie Anderson

How well I remember
finding my precious Mother,
Marie,
lying in her bed,
literally in a pool
of her own blood.
She was rushed
to Baylor Medical Center.

I am in tears
as I share this with you.
They are tears
of Joy
and Thanksgiving.

The Surgeon visited with me
shortly before proceeding with
exploratory surgery.
And he shared with me
a sad truth.
I asked a simple question
and he gave me
the simple truth:
“Is there any Hope?”
No,
he whispered.
“What is the chance
that she can survive?”
None.
And then I searched his eyes
for any sign of Hope
and asked,
“What are her chances?”
He replied with great compassion
in his voice:
There is a one hundred percent
probability
that she will not survive
this night.
We will do what we can.
But, No.
Dr. Anderson, there is
no Hope.
Her condition is such
that she cannot survive
whatever is causing
this very massive loss of blood.
She is dying from cancer.
I’m sorry.”

I do not know how,
but I made my way
to the little Chapel
in the Hospital.

And there I cried
and cried and cried.
I begged God
not to take the Life
of this precious Mother.
I Prayed.
And through the tears
I could barely see.
But through the years,
I could clearly see.
What a Blessing
Life can be
when someone Loves you
as much
as she Loved me.

sun set

 In awesome wonder

I shared the Love
I had felt though the years
with my Lord.
I expressed my deep gratitude,
over and over again,
for her very precious Life.
I shared the need
to have her with me
a little longer.
I told my God,
“I still need her in my Life.
Please, let me have her
a little longer.”

I was in
so much pain.

And then
my Communion
with the Lord
suddenly ended.
A strange feeling,
a quiet Peace,
came to my Heart.
I never felt anything
like it before.

I looked around
and the good Doctor
was quietly standing behind me.
The look on his face
astonished me.
It shocked me.
I could not understand it.
It was a look
I never expected.
Why was he looking
through me
and with such an amazement
in his tired eyes?
He was speechless
for a very long time.
He just looked
into my eyes
and looked through me.

After what seemed like
an Eternity,
he spoke
in a hushed and whispered
voice:
“I could not find anything wrong.
I think she will be all right now.”

I could barely speak.
I thanked him
and he very, very slowly
walked away
into a darkening hallway,
and I walked out of
a very dark night.

My precious Mother lived
for another twelve
and one half years.

Yes,
my tears
are of Joy
and Thanksgiving.

My Precious Lord,
How Great Thou Art.

A Mother’s LOVE
is the reason
why,
the night
Flowers into Morning.

May God grant
that a Man
should one day
be as strong,
as the LOVE
He found
in His Mother’s arms.

A Mother’s Love
is forever found,
in all
the countless generations
to come.

The
Infinite Love of
God
defines a Mother’s Love.
It is now
and forever.
It is
God Incarnate.

Mother,
it is
YOU.

Goodnight.

….A Heavenly masterpiece of a creation.

A Prelude to Infinity / Remembering Margarete Pross / Friday: Fossil Mania

“Sparks electric only strike
on Souls electrical alike.
The flash of intellect expires,
unless it meet
congenial fires.”
Hannah Moor

Oh,
precious Earth made Child.
We were given feet of clay,
and Wings.

Our Lives
are
a prelude to
Infinity,
our roots
in the Heavens,
not
underground.
Profound Revelations
guide us
to the Source of all
Beauty.

        Profound Revelations guide us.

And when,
My Dear Friend,
does this Life
end?

No.
Not when your
Heart of clay
ceases to beat.
It stops
when Hearts fail
to comprehend
the Love and Compassion
that dwells
within.

We all possess
a longing
for the unknown.

Yes,
the Immensity and Beauty
of the Universe
is Our Home,
and it is
little known.

“Among all the realities of the invisible world,
mediated to us by the disclosures and promises of God,
and to which our Faith responds,
there is none that more strongly calls into action
this faculty for grasping the unseen
than the Divine pronouncement through the Gospel,
that, though sinners,
we are Righteous in the judgment of God.
That is not only the invisible,
it seems the impossible;
it is the paradox of all paradoxes;
it requires a unique energy of Believing;
it is the supreme victory of Faith
over the apparent reality of things;
it credits God with calling the things that are not
as though they were;
it penetrates more deeply into the Deity of God
than any other act
of Faith.”
Geerhardus Vos,
Grace and Glory: Sermons Preached
in the Chapel of Princeton Theological Seminary

     Our Home is little known.

Buried deep
within our will to be,
is a Promise,
a Sacred Promise of God Almighty,
to Forgive
and to heal,
and always be.

We weavers
of Dreams,
and other things,
possess
the unexplainable feeling of longing
for a time and place,
we do not know.

And this,
My Precious Friend,
can be a sign
of recognizing
the identity of the Soul.
To envision a picture of a certain place,
unknown in time and space,
may trigger the Soul
to feel a great longing,
a feeling like
we have been there
before.

And
who knows?
The waves of Oceans deep
land upon every
shore,
like the Love
of God
that seeks a way
into every
Heart.

George Matheson

“I give thee back the Life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
O Light that foll’west all my way,
I yield my flick’ring torch to thee;
My Heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my Heart to thee;
I trace the Rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.”
George Matheson

Oh Lord,
grant that our Lives
restore
the borrowed Day,
the Sacred Gift
of
Celestial Love,
the precious Life
given
from Above.

Goodnight.

Remembering Margarete Pross

Once upon a time,
a couple of college friends and I invited
our dear friend and teacher, Mrs. Margarete Pross,
to join us for an evening of music
with John Gary at Hardin-Simmons University.
.
What a magical evening it was.
And later, she cried at the thought that her students
would care enough to
include her in our plans.
.
Those tears still flow though our Hearts,
down though time, and into the lives we
live today.
.
She shared the tragedy of her Life –
of how her husband, holder of both a law
degree and a Ph.D. and Chair of the Department
of Speech at a nearby University, died suddenly.
She felt that without his presence at the school,
she was unfairly dismissed
from her teaching position at this University.
.
Now it was evident that she was fending for herself,
in a very real struggle to merely
survive.
Mrs. Pross was teaching Speech,
along with the Joy of Living,
at a small junior college in, of all places,
Ranger, Texas,
when our group came to pick her up for
the John Gary concert
at her home.
.
As she wiped away tears from eyes
that were always
filled with such compassion for her students,
I looked around at the very humble
surroundings she lived in.
I was mortified at the so-called apartment
she merely existed in.
And I thought privately, how can such circumstance toss
such a Beautiful Human Being
into this.
.
The place made her three students want only to quickly leave.
It was at this time that we decided to assist her in finding
decent living accommodations.
We succeeded in finding a nice
garage apartment for her,
and we included her in our lives,
as much as we could.
.
We finally departed that evening for Abilene
to truly enjoy
a night of music with John Gary in concert,
a great steak dinner,
and as many one liners and jokes as she could endure.
What we created was a great friendship
that lasted many years.
And it began with that evening.
.
Such is the way with the quiet lives we live.
So many teachers,
so many tears, so many lonely evenings,
when it looks as though
no one cares.
All of her students felt, deep in our hearts,
that
this Lady cared deeply for us,
and she made us care
a great deal more than we thought we could.
We learned from her that
much of what we do,
in small ways for others,
really matters.
It creates Joy,
keeps us alive,
and makes our brief Lives
worth living.
.
And in sharing a little of your time and yourself,
you discover
that your life is richer.
You find that Life is more than just living
you discover that
Love is everywhere
and in everyone
and, to your surprise,
in YOU.
.
And that you have plenty
to share –
that
your Cup runneth over,
with Love.
.
So,
in this moment,
before your Life ceases
to stir the endless sea of Time,
while tears of remembrance can still flow over you,
tell the teacher that held you in her Heart
how much it mattered
that someone cared,
when it seemed, perhaps,
that no one else
would.
.
Take her by the hand,
waltz her out the door,
and share a moment of gratitude
for all the Love that still abides
with you.
.
Life
is like a string of pearls,
consisting of brief moments
of Joy.

And few of them!

Goodnight.
.

yourself.”

The Silence Between Our Thoughts / Best Supplements to Fight Cancer / Atex Trash Service / Friday: Civil War Museum / Important Dates

In the silence
between our thoughts,
we share
the Unity of Life.

And in the Union
of our Spirits,
the place where we
arrive,
is where we
start.

“We shall not
cease from exploration.
And the end of all
our exploring
will be to
arrive where we started
and know the place
for the first time.”
– T. S. Eliot

The Voice
of the Hidden
is like
the crest of a Wave
before it crashes
upon the shores
of our awareness.

Not known,
it was never looked for,
not heard
in the silence
between two halves
of the whole.

                  The silence between our thoughts.

“It is in
the Silence between our thoughts
that we access our highest creativity,
our deepest intuitions
and our most profound
Joys.”
Mark Bunn

Within ourselves
we carry the Essence
of all
that has been,
all that exists,
all that is
Humanity’s Birthright,
and ALL the Hope
that persists.

We share
ONE Life,
one Cosmic Intelligence,
one first breath,
and
one dying wish –
that we truly
Lived,
that we exhausted
our very brief Existence.

“Life is a great big canvas,
and you should throw
all the paint on it you can.
Danny Kaye

                Everything in Nature.

 We
may be unwilling,
or unable,
to envision the Unity
of Life.
But we truly are ONE
with every Human Being,
every Creature that crawls
upon the Sacred Earth,
everything in Nature,
every day,
in many, many
ways.

The atoms
which compose our Being
are interchanging
with every other
Living Thing.

“Your physical body
walks in the World of Matter,
but a subtler aspect of you,
woven within and throughout
your physical body,

moves and interacts on a level
of pure energy.”
one-mind-one-energy.com

            We share.

We share the
Light of Life
transformed of the
Sun.
We share the Hopes
and Dreams
of everyone.

“Science shows us
that everything is made up of energy.
It´s the building block of all matter.
The same energy that composes your body
is the same one that composes
the bricks of the house you live in, your car, your phone,
animals, trees and so forth.
It´s all the same.
It´s constantly “flowing”
and changing FORM
all the time.
This is the
Universal Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy.”

We share
the spoils of Peace,
violently torn from wars
seemingly never done,
and share the Music of Life
from songs
never sung.

“Science cannot
solve the Ultimate Mystery of Nature.
And that is because,
in the last analysis, we ourselves are…
part of the mystery
that we are trying to solve”.
Max Planck

But,
from the chaos
inextricably woven into
the Fabric
of what seems to be,
or may not be,
we are truly
ONE.

The Fabric of what seems to be.

Long lost,
we have found
all Truths
have a Time and Place,
all Prayers
come into
God’s Grace.

“We may not
impossibly be
ONE mask of many
worn by the
Great Face behind.”
Thomas Hardy

Perhaps,
the purpose of our Life,
of all Life,
is to make
the unconscious,
conscious.
And if these are
one and the same,
one may seem to lead to
the other
and back again,
arrive
where it started,
or in another dimension,
be its Brother.

In our Communion
with God,
we may discover
our immersion in the
Universal Love
of ALL.

My Dear Friends,
God is Love.
And His Love
resides
in you.

In the end,
we may arrive
where we started,
as God’s Eternal Love
crashes upon the shores
of OUR awareness,
and we come know our place
in His Heart,
for the first
Time.

Goodnight.

“Everything
in the unconscious
seeks outward manifestation,
and the personality too
desires to evolve out
of its unconscious conditions
and to experience itself
as a Whole.”
C. G. Jung

12 of the best supplements
to fight cancer

Certain bioactive compounds, found in foods, are known to have strong epigenetic (cancer correcting) benefits. Supplements concentrate those benefits.

Dr. Young S. Kim of the National Cancer Institute studied Cancer Stem Cells (CSCs) which lie at the heart of cancers. She showed in her 2012 research that a poor diet could help CSCs re-grow into a full tumor again after chemotherapy had reduced it by even 70 per cent.

However, she also showed that certain bio-active compounds could prevent this re-growth. She talked of suforaphanes, curcumin, pipeline, vitamins A and E, genistein, theanine, choline, EGCG from green tea and others and she went on to add that you could obtain from quality supplements. Who are we to argue?

Although European and American research has shown a ´small but significant´ prevention factor (of about 7 per cent), we are not going to recommend you take a multivitamin and mineral if you already have the disease. Why? because the vitamins are usually synthetic and deficient, and the minerals include iron, which is known to HELP cancer cells thrive.

We think there are much stronger compounds to take:

1: FISH OILS
The number 1 supplement. Long chain omega 3 is essential for cellular health, control of local inflammation, longevity and much, much more. Research shows supplementation, because it is daily and dose-controlled, actually provides more benefit than eating oily fish. Fish oils reduce the risk of cachexia, and can reduce polyps, the precursors to colorectal cancer.

2: SELENIUM
Helps displace heavy metals from the body. Anti-oxidant mineral recognized more and more as essential in the fight against cancer; for example, German research shows it lowers prostate cancer risk.

3: VITAMIN E
Powerful immune system booster. But take a natural form that ideally combines all 4 tocopherols and all 4 tocotrienols. You simply cannot eat the daily quantities shown to be effective in scientific studies.

4: CHLORELLA
Rather than take vitamin A, go for superfood chlorella. People simply do not eat enough ´greens´, and chlorella is a ´super-green´. Wonderful source of both natural cis- and trans-beta-carotene, minerals and vitamin B-12, especially important if you employ a meat-free diet. This is how to get your vitamin A; your body will make what it wants from beta-carotene.

5: VITAMIN D
If you cannot get a couple of hours in the sunshine every day, you should consider supplementation of 5000IUs, as recommended by Harvard medical School. This vitamin is actually a hormone and has been shown to activate the immune system, reduce the risk of cancer and even correct cancer cells in research studies.

6: COENZYME Q10
Research shows antioxidant, anti-ageing, anti-cancer benefits levels in tissues decline as you age. Essential to your mitochondria, U.S. research clearly shows you can recapture the levels of your youth by supplementation. Max 50 mgs a day. Above is wasted.

7: GRAPE SEED EXTRACT
Shown in the American VITAL study to be the top anti-oxidant commonly available. It is an OPC, and Pine Bark Extract (another OPC but not in the research study) may be even better.

8: CURCUMIN
Equal with vitamin D and fish oils. Research shows a variety of health benefits; an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory, this spice (Turmeric) seems to play a strong role in a number of anti-cancer pathways, and in other illnesses too. Prof. Aggarwal of MD Anderson claims he does not know a cancer it does not have a positive effect against. Take with olive oil and black pepper (pipeline) for maximum absorption.

9: B COMPLEX
B Vitamins are essential for correct cellular division and replication apart from playing a role in the nervous system and many of the senses. A  pre-cursor to diseases like Alzheimer´s and cancer has been shown to be the build up of Homocystein levels in the body. B Vitamins can keep this under control. Normally your gut bacteria MAKE your B vitamins (if you feed them fibrous foods). But after antibiotics and chemo, your gut bacteria will not be functioning properly.

10: RESVERATROL
Seems to play a prevention role in everything from dementia to strokes to cancer. It is now known to act as a pro drug with the CYP1B1 gene in cancer cells. The gene turns it in to picetannol which kills the cancer cell. Research is coming thick and fast on this natural compound found in organic red grape skins.

11. MODIFIED CITRUS PECTIN
Again, new research abounds on the abilities of this compound to block the ´velcro patches´ on the outside of cancer cells, reducing their abilities to stick to each other and to new tissues. This reduces metastases.

12. INDOLE 3 CARBINOL
I3C can convert aggressive oestradiol into a safer sister, and even modify oestrogen receptor sites on cells (much like Tamoxifen) and prevent dangerous oestrogens binding there. But it also works against non-oestrogenic cancers via the pathway. Research shows clear benefits in Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

It is important that you look for a source of naturally-sourced supplements. Many cheaper products are synthetic and limited in their content. Some research studies have indicated such synthetic products have dubious abilities. If you have already decided to supplement, you may want to see what supplements are available on www.ournaturalselection.com (in the UK) who supply all natural products.

Reality in the beautiful shape of Love.

 Love’s wounds never heal,
unless inflicted.
And Love
cannot seal
fate,
until your Love
you reveal.
Love,
My Friend,
is revealed
when the mind
no longer will conceal
what lies buried deep
within our very Human
Heart.

We carry
a reminder
of things that are not
and never were.
Why
do we remember
things that never were?

and ask why,

but I dream of things
that never were

and ask why not”

Proverbs 13:12

Each splendid evening,
through the lens
of your Heart,
you can see through all the years,
Life looking back,
through the laughter,
through the tears.
But you see
with a clarity
only imagined,
of what could be.

“You know,
I’ve realized that
a lot of times
I failed
to see the Beauty

that is in the moments
and the people
that surround me
every single day.

[This] reminds me
of a time
when I honestly felt
like no one
could see the Beauty
in me.
And maybe,
that’s something you
relate to,
because you think that
no one sees
the Beauty in you.
Please know
that there is a Gift
inside of YOU.”
Lindsey Stirling

With a strong Belief,
and
our Trust in God,
Prayers become Visions
that bear a remarkable semblance
of impending Salvation,
creating unshakeable Faith
that transforms Reality
in the beautiful shape
of Love,
and into dreams
that come true.

“Now the years are rolling by me.
They are rockin’ evenly.
I am older than I once was
And younger than I’ll be.
But that’s not unusual.
No, it isn’t strange.
After changes upon changes
We are more or less the same.”
Paul Simon

We pay dearly

Endless

Our minds imagine,
but only the Heart,
My Friend,
will reveal.

And here’s to the weariness
of day,
to make our rest

a memory

Fluid visions

dreams mixing sweet

Such is
the power of
Prayer.

“How can the light
that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Is it a kind of shadow

Reaching into the night,
Wandering over the hills unseen.
Or is it a dream?

There’s a high wind in the trees,
A cold sound in the air,
And nobody ever knows when you go,
And where do you start?
Oh,
into the dark?

My Precious Friend,
the desolation
of Life
can end.
No languid thing of Beauty
is Tranquility.
It shines within

in the Beauty of the hour you Believe,
in that Tranquil moment,
the horizon of your dreams
will finally be seen.

From our friends at the Underground Health Reporter:
Is Your Diet Causing Your Depression?

If you suffer from depression or anxiety or other mental illness, it may help to look closely at your diet. link between diet and mental health is just as strong as the link between diet and physical health. “There’s a very strong link between quality of diet and risk of common mental disorders like depression and anxiety,” Felice Jacka, associate professor, psychiatric epidemiologist, and director of the Food and Mood Centre at Deakin University in Australia, told HuffPost Australia.

Plant-Based Wellness

This new field of research investigating the link between nutrition and mental health offers completely new methods of treating and preventing mental illness. The mainstays of psychiatric treatments—pharmacological drugs – have achieved only modest benefits. Compelling evidence indicates that nutrition could be a crucial factor in combating increased prevalence of mental health issues around the globe. Clear findings are already emerging as to which foods hurt the most, and which foods help the most.

Jacka and her team analyze how different dietary patterns support or undermine mental well being. One clear connection the team has identified so far is between rates of depression and intake of processed foods that contain high concentrations of…

     Fat
          Sugar
               Carbohydrates
                    Emulsifiers
                         Artificial flavors

Similarly, there is a relation between incidences of depression and low intake of healthful foods, for instance…

     Vegetables
          Fruits
               Legumes
                    Fish
                         Lean red meat

“Even if you’re eating good food, if you’re also eating a lot of junk food, it can be a problem,” Jacka said. On the other hand, even if you eat little or no junk food, you can off-balance your mental health by not eating enough fruits and vegetables.

In the dark,
In the deepest recesses
Of the night,
There is no light.

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning, born of the one Light, Eden saw play. – Eleanor Farjeon

But,
By the Light of Love,
The dark of night
That pervades the spaces,
So cavernous and lonely
In the Soul,
Shall be driven out,
And you will be
Blinded by this Light,
No longer able to see
The hate that was you,
And me.

In remembering
Such that always was,
And may very well
Always be,

Let us ask ourselves:

Have we squandered
Our precious existence
Thinking no one
In the Heart
Is home?

Did we lay low
A legacy of Love,
So our human Heart
Could roam?

Did we forget
We are all
Precious Gifts
From Above?

But the Heart

It never left.
The journey of Life

Travel as you may,
You will discover
One day,
That your home
Is your Heart
And it will
Always be.

We venture far
To discover Love
Can never depart.

Joy was ever meant to be.

“All mankind is of one author,
and is one volume;
when one man dies,
one chapter is not torn out of the book,
but translated into a better language;
No man is an island, entire of itself…

any man’s death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind;
and therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls;
it tolls for thee.”
– John Donne, Meditation XVII, 1624

No man is an island.
But Islands abound,
And the gulf
All around,
For so many,
Surrounds
The will to be.

Water shallows deep.
Impassible it seems,
There they lie,
Our Islands in the sun.

Amidst the ripples
And tides of tears
They shine,
Yours and mine,
Never really knowing
Since Adam
Loved his Eve,
Life Supremely good
Is a Wish Divine,
That Harmony
And Joy
Was ever meant
To be.

Adorned by
Our season in His Sun,
Breathing a lesson
To be learned,
Teaching us the reason
For Love in life:
That ever we give,
Not seek,
Never in want
For our self
To keep.

In His Season of this,
Our Heart,
Lies the reason
Love will live,
And the reason –
To give,
So others
May live.
For Love and life
Are the same,
Drawn from
The selfsame well
Everything came.

“There’s a Love that’s Divine
And it’s yours and it’s mine
like the sun

And at the end of the day
We should give thanks
and pray to the one, to the one.”

                               Is Grain Harming Your Brain?
Grain Brain by David Perlmutter, M.D.

Renowned neurologist David Perlmutter, M.D., blows the lid off a topic that’s been buried in medical literature for far too long: carbs are destroying your brain.

Students brought balloons filled with shaving cream which everyone enjoyed!

And not just unhealthy carbs, but even healthy ones like whole grains can cause dementia, ADHD, anxiety, chronic headaches, depression, and much more.

Dr. Perlmutter explains what happens when the brain encounters common ingredients in your daily bread and fruit bowls, why your brain thrives on fat and cholesterol, and how you can spur the growth of new brain cells at any age.

I found it in the Love expressed through the life of my Mother. Her love abides with me every day. It is the single, most formidable and pervasive force I have ever encountered.

And now I understand that such Love is a universal constant, a Spirit that fills the darkness of the Heavens and the spaces in life. It lives within each of us and is in every living thing.

It is the reality that science cannot define and yet, is that which everyone seems, instinctively to need. The poets and songwriters know what the realm of physics will never comprehend, that, as Joe Henry so beautifully intones,

“Love is seeing all the universe in one,
in the brotherhood of creatures.
It lives within each part and is the whole.”

My, how my Mother loved her little boy! She taught me in life, and teaches me in death, that love is all that is left. And all that love you keep with you. Each morning I awake from a beautiful journey, as she touches me with the flower of her love in my hand. And, as she takes my hand, I remember her in beautiful dreams that never end. It is a vision of her goodness and it sustains me as I grow old.

My friends, your Love will be the only thing that will remain. Everything else will dissolve, just disappear. In the end, the Love felt by others is all that shall remain. Nothing, no, nothing else will matter. The story of your life will be read by someone’s heart. And that story can go on and on and on. Just as the Love of God is Infinite, your Love can remain.

The reflection of our being is on the other side of this existence. What you do today will be mirrored in other hearts tomorrow. In a very real way, the story of your life begins the day you leave. And only you are the author of this story.

Every day is a page. And every sentence can begin with a smile and end with a warm embrace. Your trace in time is written indelibly.

Let it be a Love story.

What we eat at restaurants can cause health issues. Too many carbohydrates, too much fat and too much salt can lead to obesity, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol issues.

Restaurant menus are designed to entice your sense of taste, not tell you whether the foods they’re advertising are healthy.

The worst chain restaurant dishes are:

Fried foods
Calories in restaurant foods
Healthier fast food options

Restaurant Code Words: Crunchy, tempura, battered, crispy, breaded, crusted, golden, sizzling

If you’re making a healthy choice, you’re probably not purposely choosing a fried food item. Look for words like crunchy, battered, crispy, breaded, crusted, golden, tempura; some of these options are a double-whammy on your caloric intake because the item is fried with an additional carb-based coating.

Fried foods may taste great, but tend to be high in fat and calories – and deep frying robs food of nutrients. A grilled, baked or roasted 4-ounce chicken breast (the size of a deck of cards) will run you about 170 calories, whereas the deep fried selection can pack a whopping 370 calories.

To make matters worse, many restaurants (usually of the fast food variety) use partially hydrogenated oil because it can be reheated and reused over and over again. Partially hydrogenated oil contains trans fats (the worst of the fats) which raises your LDL (bad cholesterol) and lowers your HDL (good cholesterol), leading to a higher incidence of heart disease.

High-sugar foods

Restaurant Code Words: Teriyaki, BBQ, glazed, sticky, honey-dipped

Powdered doughnuts may be self-explanatory on a menu, but options labeled as Teriyaki, BBQ, glazed, sticky or honey-dipped could also be high in added sugars. It is wise to ask if sauces of any kind are made with sugar, including salad dressings and vinaigrettes.

This was everyone's favorite sign.

Watch out also for meals that are high in carbohydrates. Carbs turn into sugar when they are broken down by your digestive system. The usual suspects are items like pasta, potatoes and rice, but even menu items like “healthy” couscous, quinoa and faro are high in carbs and should be eaten with the same moderation as traditional offerings.

How much sugar is in that drink?

High-calorie foods

Restaurant Code Words: Loaded, stuffed, creamy, cheesy, gooey, smothered, melted, rich, velvety

It’s funny how adjectives describing foods can elicit Pavlov’s law in even the most rigorous health fanatic. That’s the point. Foods described as loaded, stuffed, creamy, cheesy, gooey, smothered, melted, rich and velvety are triggering a “feeling” that you get when you eat that particular menu item. Don’t fall into the trap!

These “comfort foods” may take you back in time to a simpler place where a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich on brioche could right all of the wrongs in the world, but the one wrong it won’t right is the number of calories packed into one bite.

Something described as “loaded” or “stuffed” is going to also be loaded or stuffed with calories — and no one wants to feel like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Eating out costs you 200 calories

Healthier options

Restaurant Code Words: roasted, baked, braised, broiled, poached, rubbed, seared, grilled, steamed, sautéed, spiced, seasoned

Chefs at local restaurants everywhere are catching on that Americans are looking for healthier options when dining out. Restaurants that specialize in foods that are “made-to-order” or that focus on locally sourced foods will likely have more options.

Words like roasted, poached, baked or grilled are your best options – just don’t order the grilled 26-ounce rib eye steak. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the menu, and if nutritional information is available, read through and choose the meal that will balance your health with your desire for something tasty.
