A Lot Like Heaven / The Bio-Initiative Report / Friday: At School for Shakespeare Rehearsal

Dedicated
to my precious Mother,
Marie Gaul Anderson.

            HELLO to Love

When Sundown
pales the sky,
when it is time
to say goodbye,
have we
ever truly said
HELLO,
hello to Love,
hello to Life,
to living,
to laughter,
to leaving?

Have we
greeted the Evening
of Life,
as we did
our Morning?

Did we ever
truly come to know
the Sun that rises,
is the same Sun
that sets,
that the Heart
that beats for one
can live for all
and die without
regret,
that the Light
of Love
can shine
throughout our lives
and into the Hearts
of each and every
one?

     The same Sun that sets.

From where I came,
the Earth
looked a lot like Heaven.
Smiles
came from one
who gave me
Life,
who answered my
Prayers,
who forgave me,
sustained me,
and showed me
the Way,
who put me
to bed at night,
and turned on the Light
of Day,
who kept me clothed and fed,
and filled my Life with
Hope and Joy,
day after day after day.

The Child once we were can remain.

She
took me
to Church
and with me
Prayed,
showed me
there is more to Life
than living,
more to receive
in giving,
more to Love
than we can ever
know,
measure,
or understand.

Let us give thanks
for the precious Mothers
of our World.
It is their
Love
that sustains,
that remains,
that lights the Lamp
of Hope.

The Love of a Mother
insures
that the Child
once we were,
can remain.

Goodnight.

         A Lot Like Heaven.

Thank You!

My Dear Friends,
the following information
is truly
IMPORTANT.

Please
read it carefully
and take it
to Heart.

Our precious children
need our guidance
and good judgment.

Each new technology is a whole new World. And under every Flower there,    a serpent lies coiled. – Wm. C. Anderson

Cell Phones and Cancer

The World Health Organization
has classified cell phone radiation
as a class B carcinogen.

Dr. David Carpenter,
Dean at the School of Public Health
State University of New York,
believes that up to 30% of all childhood cancers
are associated with
electromagnetic (EMF) radiation exposure.

Cell phones emit high levels
of electromagnetic radiation
directly into your head,
actually heating it up in the process.
There is increasing amounts of scientific evidence
linking this to brain cancers.

Multiple recent studies,
including international scientists,
are urging governments to place stricter regulations
on cellphone use,
particularly due to the latest outcome
of their investigations:
Young people who use cell phones
before the age of 20
are five times more likely
to be at risk for malignant brain tumors
than children who do not use mobile phones.

Researchers of the 2012 Bioinitiative Report
agree that approximately ten years of cell phone use
may lead to tumors.
There are significant studies that directly correlate
RF radiation from cell phones with brain tumors.

The BioInitiative 2012 Report
was prepared by 29 authors from ten countries,
ten holding medical degrees (MDs), 21 PhDs,
and three MsC, MA or MPHs.
Among the authors are three former presidents of the Bioelectromagnetics Society.

Studies report that:

The chance of developing a brain tumor
goes up as much as 40%
after a decade of cell phone use.
Yes,
people are 5 times more likely
to develop a brain tumor
if they began using a cell phone
before the age of 20.
People have twice the risk
of developing the cancer known as “Glioma”,
if they use their cell phones for half an hour a day
for more than a decade.

People using cell phones for 2000 hours
have 240% greater risk for malignant brain tumors.

A significant report was released in 2009
by the International EMF Collaborative,
a team of international EMF scientists and activists,
entitled “Cell Phones and Brain Tumors:
15 Reasons for Concern, Science, Spin
and the Truth Behind Interphone”.

Another study by an Israeli research group
found that there’s recently been a sharp 4-fold increase
in malignant tumors of the parotid gland
on the side of the face
the cell phone users generally hold the phone.
Parotid tumors have historically been very rare
and have shown up in people after the age of 50.
Most cases since 2001 have occurred
in people under the age of 20.

More to Love than we can ever know.

Cordless land line phones
emit high levels of EMF radiation
and can be even more dangerous than cell phones!
And usually we speak longer on cordless phones

More than 31 million children use cell phones daily
close to four hours a day.
Cell phone radiation danger to children
is especially of concern,
as children absorb 50% more radiation than adults do,
because their skulls are thinner and smaller,
and EMFs penetrate much more deeply into their brains.
Their brains are more conducive to radiation
due to the higher water and ion concentration
in a developing brain.

Many health symptoms
due to cell phone radiation
show up early on and may precede
more serious disorders and diseases.

They include:

Chronic colds & flues
Headaches and “mind-fog”
Digestive disorders
Sleep disturbance.

Memory Loss
Depression/anxiety
Chronic pain
Dizziness

There is more to Life than living.

Brain cancer has now surpassed leukemia
as the number one cancer killing children,
and many scientists believe
this is directly linked to the exponential increases
in cell phone use
and other wireless devices.

One of the most comprehensive studies
testing the cell phone – cancer link on children
was conducted by Professor Lennart Hardell in Sweden.
The results of the study indicate that
children and teens
are 5 times more likely to get brain cancer
if they use cell phones.

A study conducted in 2009
by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt
on autistic children
and their mothers during pregnancy
shows significant results,
strongly suggesting that:

“electromagnetic radiation
in the sleeping environment
of the mothers during pregnancy,
as well as electromagnetic radiation
in the sleeping environment of children,
may be a key contributing factor
if not a causative one –
in neurological impairments in children,
including autism.”

So Close That It Is Far Away / New American Plate / Friday: At School ALL Day

Like the Flower
that shatters the
Stone
,
Love can fracture
the Heart
hardened by the absence
of Joy.

Even the most fragile
has the power to overcome
the strongest force.

Love Majestic
in its simplicity,
opens wide the window
of Wisdom.

“Being deeply Loved by someone
gives you strength,
while Loving someone deeply
gives you courage.”
Lao Tzu

To speak
in the present tense,
and live
in this precious moment,
requires us to Love
what is all around,
to regret
not one minute,
and Love
what is in us
and is
us.

Tomorrow can fade to black or rise like a magnificent Rainbow.

Have you ever thought
of home?
When home
is so close,
that it is far
away,
and you
hold on
to your thoughts
so hard
you can never
stay
in the place
of your dreams,
that for which
you Pray.

Put on each day and wear it all day long.

And you pause
to ask,
“Am I
living in the embrace
of memories
never chanced to be?”
The colors
of our dreams
fade
onto sad deserted shores
of such memories
never brought to
Life,
never made.

 Beauty wakes pure authentic feelings.

The greatest threat
we face
is change,
but we cannot
survive
without it.

So put on
each day
and wear it
all day long.
And listen
very carefully
for the night bird
song.
Then give
your troubles
to the song,
not the singer.

There is serenity
in what we partake
with the guidance
of our Lord,
even when we fail
to contemplate
the incomprehensible.

Love opens wide the window of Wisdom.

Think
not on yourself.
Make not a
Stone
of what once was
your Heart.

My Dear Friends,
One

act of Mercy
can free the
Soul.
One fragile Flower
can shatter
the stone.

Tomorrow
can fade to
black,
or rise
like a magnificent
Rainbow.

                       Live in this precious moment.

No matter
where you run,
without the Love
of God,
you keep running
into yourself.
But With
His Precious Love,
God will raise you
Lovingly
above yourself.

Beauty
wakes pure authentic
feelings.
It touches the
Soul.
And the beauty
in your Heart
far exceeds that
of any Flower,
any setting of the Sun,
any sum of the parts
more than the
whole.

                    Love what is all around.

The bitter tragedy
of Human Life
is that it is too fragile,
a transitory, provisional parchment
of living and
being.

Yet,
to be sheltered in the warmth
of Heavenly Grace,
provides a Landscape
laced with Eternal Life
and Lovingness.

                     Beauty touches the Soul.

Let us pause
to reflect
upon our allotted time,
and give
Thanks.
We can shatter
the World of illusion
and become that
which God
truly wants of us:
to become
His Child
again.

Goodnight.

Put on each day and wear it.

“You are a Divine Being.
An all-powerful Creator.
You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt,
and within you dwells the infinite wisdom
of the ages and the sacred creative force
of All that is, will be and ever was.”

No single food can prevent cancer,
but the right combination of foods may help make a difference.
At mealtimes, strike a balance of at least
two-thirds plant-based foods
and no more than one-third animal protein.
This “New American Plate”
is an important cancer fighting tool,
according to the American Institute for Cancer Research.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in cancer-fighting nutrients
— and the more color, the more nutrients they contain.
These foods can help lower your risk in a second way, too,
when they help you reach and maintain a healthy body weight.
Carrying extra pounds increases the risk for multiple cancers,
including colon, esophagus, and kidney cancers.
Eat a variety of vegetables, especially dark green,
red, and orange vegetables.

Naturally occurring folate is an important B vitamin
that may help protect against cancers of the colon, rectum, and breast. You can find it in abundance on the breakfast table.
Fortified breakfast cereals and whole wheat products
are good sources of folate.
So are orange juice, melons, and strawberries.

Other good sources of folate are asparagus and eggs.
You can also find it in beans, sunflower seeds, and leafy green vegetables like spinach or romaine lettuce.
The best way to get folate is not from a pill,
but by eating enough fruits, vegetables,
and enriched grain products.

Cutting back on processed meats
like bologna, ham, and hot dogs will help lower your risk
of colorectal and stomach cancers.
Also, eating meats that have been preserved by smoking
or with salt raises your exposure to chemicals
that can potentially cause cancer.

Whether it’s the lycopene
the pigment that gives tomatoes their red color –
or something else isn’t clear.
But some studies have linked eating tomatoes
to reduced risk of several types of cancer,
including prostate cancer.
Studies also suggest that processed tomato products
such as juice, sauce, or paste
increase the cancer-fighting potential.

Green tea, may be a strong cancer fighter.
In laboratory studies, green tea has slowed or prevented
the development of cancer in colon, liver, breast, and prostate cells.
It also had a similar effect in lung tissue and skin.
And in some longer term studies,
tea was associated with lower risks
for bladder, stomach, and pancreatic
cancers.

Grapes and grape juice, especially purple and red grapes,
contain resveratrol.
Resveratrol has strong antioxidant
and anti-inflammatory properties.
In laboratory studies, it has prevented
the kind of damage that can trigger
the cancer process in cells.

Eternity In The Human Heart / ADHD Diets / Classes Resume Sept. 5

“He has made everything
Beautiful

in its time.
He has also set Eternity
in the Human Heart.”
– Ecclesiastes 3:11

                                 Beautiful in its time.

The beginning of Life,
and the end of Living,
are like the morning
and evening Sky,
streaked with the Beauty of
Truth.

A Clarion Call

ALL,
and your time

Wake up

For Earthly Life

in the eyes of Eternity.

“A vapor is short-lived.
You see the mist at one moment
and a few minutes later it’s gone.
You see the steam
coming out of your coffee cup

and in just a second,
it disappears into the air.

My Dear Friends,

Eternity

within the sound of your voice,
and joyfully living
between two beats
of your Heart,
the one past
and the one
to be.

Eternity
lies between
not knowing,
and knowing,
YOU
are
within reach.

Eternity
is in every Moment.

Goodnight.

Love is the question, and the answer.

From our Friends at

ADHD diets
haven’t been researched a lot. Data is limited and results are mixed. Many health experts, though, think that what you eat and drink may play a role in helping symptoms.

One expert, Richard Sogn, MD, says that whatever is good for the brain is likely to be good for ADHD. You may want to eat:

A high-protein diet. Beans, cheese, eggs, meat, and nuts can be good sources of protein. Eat these kinds of foods in the morning and for after-school snacks. It may help improve concentration.

Fewer simple carbohydrates. Cut down on how many of these you eat: candy, corn syrup, honey, sugar, products made from white flour, white rice, and potatoes without the skins.

More complex carbohydrates. These are the good guys. Load up on vegetables and some fruits, including oranges, tangerines, pears, grapefruit, apples, and kiwi. Eat this type of food in the evening and it may help you sleep.

More omega-3 fatty acids. You can find these in tuna, salmon, and other cold-water white fish. Walnuts, Brazil nuts, and olive and canola oil are other foods with these in them. You could also take an omega-3 fatty acid supplement. The FDA approved an omega compound called Vayarin as part of an ADHD management strategy.

Foods That Help Fight Depression
read more from WebMD.com

Turkey

The traditional Thanksgiving bird has the protein building-block tryptophan, which your body uses to make serotonin. That’s a brain chemical that plays a key role in depression, researchers say. In fact, some antidepressant drugs work by targeting the way your brain uses serotonin. You can get the same mood-boosting effect from chicken and soybeans.

Brazil Nuts

This snack is rich in selenium, which helps protect your body from tiny, damaging particles called free radicals. One study found that young people who didn’t have enough of this nutrient in their diets were more likely to be depressed. The researchers couldn’t say that low selenium caused depression, though. Just one Brazil nut has almost half your daily requirement of the mineral so be careful to limit how many you eat. Other foods with this mineral include brown rice, lean beef, sunflower seeds, and seafood.

Carrots

They’re full of beta-carotene, which you can also get from pumpkin, spinach, sweet potatoes, and cantaloupe. Studies have linked this nutrient to lower levels of depression. There’s not enough evidence to say that it can prevent the disorder, but it can’t hurt to get more in your diet.

Clams and Mussels

These seafood favorites are a good source of B-12. Some studies say that people with low levels of the vitamin are more likely to have depression. It may be that a lack of it causes a shortage of a substance called s-adenosylmethionine (SAM), which your brain needs to process other chemicals that affect your mood. If you’re looking for other B-12 foods, try lean beef, milk, and eggs.

Coffee

A jolt of caffeine can be a pick-me-up that helps you feel more motivated. But if you have postpartum depression or panic disorder, some studies suggest that it might make your symptoms worse. Other researchers say a cup of joe can lower your risk of getting depression, though they’re not sure why.

Leafy Greens

They’re packed with folate, which your brain cells need to work well and which may help protect against depression. Food manufacturers in the U.S. add this vitamin, also known as B9, to enriched grains like pasta and rice. You can also get it from lentils, lima beans, and asparagus.

Salmon

This and other fish like herring and tuna are high in polyunsaturated fats. Researchers think those can help you fight depression. One type of these fats, called omega-3 fatty acids, may help brain cells use chemicals that can affect your mood. A few small studies show that people who weren’t depressed had higher levels of omega-3s than those with the mood disorder.

Milk

It’s a good source of vitamin D. If you have very low levels of this nutrient in your body, that can sometimes cause depression. One Norwegian study found that people who took a vitamin D supplement were less depressed a year later than those who didn’t. Don’t like milk? Boost the D in your diet with enriched cereals and juices, and canned fish.

Caution: Junk Food

It may be fast and filling, but these processed foods can be bad news for your mood. Scientists have studied how diets high in sugar, simple carbohydrates, and fatty foods affect how you feel. Many found some link between these unhealthy eats and depression. Your best bet: a well-balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.

Caution: Alcohol

Heavy drinking can make depression symptoms worse over time, because alcohol makes your brain less active. It also can make antidepressant medications less effective.
