Treasure The Light / Terrible Chemicals Coming Back / Friday: Japanese Garden

Let us treasure
the Light,
and not give reality
to the shadow.

cloud-over-sun

           Treasure the Light.

We long for Love
and Light.

Dark the dreams
that lie behind
the broken door of a Heart
will think
will beat no more,
for those we failed
to Love,
or never Loved
before.

Yes,
the illusions of Life
cry little pity
without the Joy
of Love.

arms outstretched

You take farewell of the Glorious Sun that shines from within.

When sorrow
gathers all about you,
and you take farewell
of the Glorious Sun
that shines from within,
and from Above,
backlit by the past,
the atmosphere that clouds
this day,
is silhouetted like
a luminous halo.

But,
with fervent Prayer
and abiding Trust in God,
you can feel
a new tomorrow,
a beautiful new dawn
coming your way.

“Everybody’s talking at me
I don’t hear a word they’re saying,
only the echoes of my mind.
People stopping, staring,
I can’t see their faces,
only the shadows of their eyes.
I’m going
where the Sun keeps shining,

through the pouring rain.”
– Harry Nilsson

A constant shadow
lies across nevermore,
cast by what we dare not
dream today.
A mist
rolls across the eyes,
when Love’s obscured or dies.
But we can come to realize,
the unbelievable Beauty of our Life
cannot be denied.

With Prayer and Trust in God.

Flowers

of Mankind.
They invite us
to grasp wild every blossom,
to give and share,
and tell evermore
of our Love
that blossomed like those
now in hand.

We are not here
to learn some trigonometric equation
that may soon be forgotten
or never used.
We are here to study
the Geometry
of the Human Heart,
the capacity to Forgive,
the acceptance of Love.

My Dear Friends,
you can waste a lifetime
repressing the Truth
you envisioned as a Child.

Your Father,

For you are

God’s Heart is always full of tears
at the thought of Love’s farewell.
The precious Gift of His Love

the time He Lovingly
gives to you.

Please remember,
wherever you’re going,
My Friend,

He’s going your way.

Purity of youth
and the purity of the Spirit

of the precious time
when we were children.
But the deeper meaning,
is still undisclosed
to you and me.

In a blinding moment of clarity.

As a fragile
and deeply Loved Human Being,
we can come to realize
the magnitude of what it means to be
a child again,
a Child of God.

This feeling is profound
and defies definition.
And it is expressed only
by the Human Heart.

Yes,
in a blinding moment of clarity,
you can come to truly see
what it means
to be deeply Loved,
like a Child again.

We Ever Used

At least we’ve learned from the past. CFCs, DDTs, POPs, and other terrifying chemical acronyms have been banned for decades. The planet barely survived their usage, but we did it! It’s over! The end!

Actually, it’s more like “The End?”
And now we’re set up for the hard-hitting sequel.

You know what’s great at storing harmful chemicals? Polar ice. That was all well and good by society for a time. (Eat it, Nanook. Move to the city and get a real job!) But now, global warming is melting that ice and releasing all those chemicals at once …

NASA/Goddard Scientific Visualization Studio
… It’s like society’s literal karma, coming back to punish us for past sins.

Most worrying are the persistent organic pollutants – organic chemicals we stuffed into just about everything until we found out they give cancer to anything they touch. They’ve been showing up in plants and animals again lately, trickling out of melting glaciers and into the natural environment.

Ross Land/Getty Images
So if you see this sign or any others like it,
listen.

Then there’s DDT, an insecticide that was banned in the ’70s due to its poisonous effect on birds. And though we haven’t used it in decades, it’s showing up again in Antarctic penguins, thanks to the retreating ice caps. That’s right, penguins. The butlers of the snow.

Good God,
what have we done?

“In such ugly times,
the only true protest
is Beauty.”

– Lucia Perry

So Far Away, It Lies Within / Keep Your Child’s Heart Healthy / Friday: Japanese Garden

“Beauty does not exist
Without love.”
– The Song of Solomon

           A pathway having no end.

Can we shallow
The swift current
Of what we cannot comprehend,
Of life’s tribulations?

We test each other’s
Endurance and Faith,
Laid at the feet
Of our unwillingness
To Love one another.

images.duckduckgo.com

God will send His Love to you.

On the threshing floor
Of our self-abased Lives,
Being so unwilling
To share,
To care,
We come to believe
In the burden of sacrifice,
So many
Are not be able
To bear.

“Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7

We discover
Through our Prayer,
In moments so very rare,
That Life and Love
Abide in lonely times,
Never knowing
They are the same.

images.duckduckgo.com

Go to a far off land within.

In the absence
Of mind,
We hasten our decline,
As our tears descend
And the river of life
Subsides.

But God
Sends His Love
To you.

In the arms of another
We find His Angel.
He gives us
To each other,
To show us
The way,
To let us know
The endlessness of Love
We feel
May be all
That is real.

images.duckduckgo.com

The endlessness of Love we feel, may be all that is real.

We touch this Earth
Indelicately,
With such brevity
That we never know
Just how much Love
Is never felt,
Never known,
And was there
To take.

In all that time
We never came to see
Love was beside us,
Inside of us,
Longing
To be.

The pathway to Heaven lies through the Heart of another.

Such is the tragedy
Of Life,
Of Love,
That we did not Know.

“The eyes
are the gateway
to the soul.”
– Herman Melville

My dear friends,
Go somewhere,
Somewhere you may have
Never been.

The pathway to Heaven
Lies through the Heart
Of another,
The Love of a friend,
Down a pathway
Having no end,
Through a door
Of discovery,
In a world outside
Of where you have been,
So far away,
It lies within.

images.duckduckgo.com

In a world outside of where you have been.

“To see clearly
is poetry, prophecy, and religion
all in one.”
– John Ruskin

Go to that
Far off land
Within.
Spend your time
Listening,
To the sound
Of your own Heart beating,
On the other side
Of where you are.

images.duckduckgo.com

                  We touch this Earth.

When Hearts
Take flight,
Darkness
No longer descends.
Every night
Harbors a harvest moon,
Every day
Moves through us
Too soon.

We pass by
One another
Never knowing,
Never hearing
The rolling thunder,
The Voice ever after,
We should not
Forsake.

flowers, forest

My friends, go somewhere you may have never been.

I pray
Four strong winds
Will carry you
To Heaven,
To the Heart
Of another
Whispering your name.

“The beauty of God
transfigures the one
who contemplates it
and transforms him
into this very same beauty.”

How To Keep Your Child’s Heart Healthy
                                          by

Teaching a child healthy techniques will help him carry these techniques with him into adulthood, thereby cancelling any future health issues once he or she has left your care. Children who make heart healthy choices will decrease their chances of developing heart disease later in life.

Be very cautious about what is going down his food pipe. Stop spoiling his eating habits.

Include fruits and vegetables in your child’s diet. Fruits and vegetables are high in fiber and fiber has been shown to provide you with nutrients that can protect your child against future heart disease. Make sure your child eats at least five, 1/2 cup servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Avoid adding sugar, dips or high fat spreads to your child’s fruits and vegetables.

Thiswhyc

Beauty does not exist without love.

Set aside time in your child’s day for her to get exercise. Make sure the exercise is fun and enjoyable to her. Regular exercise is important to maintain a healthy heart. Encourage your child to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day.

Let them Jump Kick and Run…In fact you can join them too! Participate in physical activity with your child. Watch your child’s sporting events. Take walks as a family after dinner. Go on family bike rides during the weekend.

Avoid letting your child use the Internet, watch television or play video games for more than two hours a day. Help your child pick what they want to watch or play each day. Make them turn off the media after the two-hour time period.

Poor oral hygiene can contribute to the development of heart disease later in the child’s life because the bacteria on your child’s teeth and gums can get into the bloodstream and negatively affect the arteries.

Thiswhyc

He gives us to each other to show us the way.

Make sure your child brushes her teeth in the morning and before going to bed. Help your child to floss on a daily basis. Ensure that your child attends regular checkups with the dentist.

Limit your child’s salt intake. Consuming too much salt can put the child at risk for developing cardiovascular disease later in life, reports HelpGuide.org. Use spices instead of salt to add flavor to foods. Avoid giving your children processed, canned or frozen foods because these tend to have high salt contents.

Thiswhyc

Ensure that your child attends regular checkups with the dentist.

Remove foods that are high in trans fats and saturated fats from your child’s diet. Both these fats cause the bad cholesterol called LDL to increase. Foods that tend to be high in trans and saturated fats include chips, whole milk dairy products, red meat, solid fats and packaged foods. Replace the unhealthy fats with unsaturated fats that come from foods such as olive oil, beans, fish, nuts and avocados.

Limit your child’s portions to help him avoid overeating. Do not make your child eat everything on his plate if he says he is full.

Smoking doesn’t just happen. Its peer pressure, advertisements, machismo, adult role models. Set an example yourself by avoiding cigarettes. Talk about it to your children when they’re at the age that they can comprehend and perhaps subconsciously ingrain the idea that cigarettes are a no-no for their heart and lungs.
