After profound investigation,
scientists say that it is
True,
about the Immortality of our Souls.
Our bodies do die,
but our Souls live
Forever.
.
Quantum mechanics
is responsible
for this phenomenon.
It is the Science that deals with
the behavior of matter
at the atomic and subatomic levels.

Dr. Robert Lanza
is an expert in regenerative medicine
and the scientific director of
Advanced Cell Technology Company.
He was first famous for his extensive research
on stem cells, but recently
he has become involved with physics,
quantum mechanics and astrophysics.

Lanza argues that the structure of our Universe
implies an intelligence existed before matter did.
He goes on to state that space and time are not objects, but tools used by animals (like us)
to understand the world around us.
Without space and time,
Lanza believes we would still exist
as individual consciousnesses.

Lanza’s theory
is based on the work of quantum mechanics,
which has shown that particles, like electrons,
do not have a definite location
until they are observed.
Lanza argues that this means
it is consciousness that creates
the physical World.

According to quantum theory,
death is not the end for our consciousness.
Our consciousness is a quantum field,
and as such, it is Immortal.
When our physical bodies die,
our consciousness simply moves on
to another quantum field.

Stuart Hameroff and Sir Roger Penrose
say that our Consciousness is data
saved at this Quantum level.

Dr. Hameroff explained:
“Let’s say the Heart stops beating,
the blood stops flowing; the micro-tubules

“The Quantum information within the micro-tubules
is not destroyed, it can’t be destroyed, and it just distributes and dissipates
to the Universe at large.”

What Really Matters in Life?
(How to Find out What Matters Most)

We live in a world packed with material possessions and are encouraged to chase these things. As a result, our needs never seem to stop growing. So we keep running. But what really matters here?

We run after bigger television sets, newer smartphones, and better cars. We run after job promotions and luxurious holidays. We tend to think that more money in our bank accounts will translate into happier lives. While offline and online shopping can bring us short-term satisfaction, it rarely matters in the long run. There are all examples of things that don’t matter in the end.

Copyright Free Photos - Copyright-Free Photos for Your Blog - Marylee ...

Well then, what really matters in Life? This article shows you what matters in life and how to find the things that matter most.

What really matters in Life

The wise do not chase after materialistic items. More clothes, smarter gadgets, bigger cars, and luxurious houses can make our lives more convenient, but do these things bring us long-lasting happiness?

They don’t.

What really matters in Life is Happiness itself. Happiness comes from having a purpose in Life, loving and accepting yourself and others, and maintaining good health. Without these, you will always end up feeling unfulfilled and unhappy.

Research on the impact of relationships on life

An adult development study by Harvard on the lives of more than 700 people was conducted for over 75 years. The participants were divided into two groups one group with participants who finished college and the other with participants from poor neighborhoods. Their personal and professional lives were studied, as well as their health and relationships.

While most people thought that money and fame made for a happier life, the research showed something different. It was good relationships that had a more positive impact on life. It’s not about having a big circle of friends or several relationships. It’s about having meaningful relationships. Quality over quantity.

In the words of Professor Robert Waldinger, the director of the study:

The clearest message that we get from this 75-year study is this: Good relationships keep us happier and healthier.

Robert Waldinger

Psychiatrist George Vaillant, one of the earlier researchers of the study, came to the same conclusion in his own words:

The key to healthy aging is relationships, relationships, relationships.

George Vaillant

Research on the purpose of life

A study by the researchers of the Harvard School of Public Health found that when people have a high sense of purpose or direction in life, they tend to remain healthier in life.

The researchers tracked data from 2006 and 2010 from a national study of participants over 50 years old. Physical and psychological examinations of their health were conducted, including walking speed, grip test, and a questionnaire to measure their sense of purpose.

The results showed that the participants with a higher sense of purpose had a reduced risk of developing weaker grip and slower speed.

Deathbed regrets

One of my favorite articles online is called “Regrets of the Dying”, which covers the most frequently quoted regrets of people on their deathbed. It’s a fascinating story that uncovers what most people regret the most as they are near the end of their lives. Here’s the gist of it:

  1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
  2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
  3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
  4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
  5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Notice how none of the deathbed regrets are “I wish I had bought a bigger TV”?

What matters in Life and why

For anyone struggling to find what really matters in life, here are some clues.

1. Purpose in life

A sense of purpose gives us the “why” of our life. It is the reason why we do what we do. It is the reason for our actions, our work and our relationships. Our lives revolve around this purpose. It gives our life meaning a meaning which matters in life.

However, do not panic if you struggle to find your purpose. We have all been in that place. I remember when I did, I asked myself three questions:

  • Why do I get up?
  • What do I want?
  • What do I not want?

These questions have helped me find my purpose in life. It helped me discover what really matters to me. Whenever you feel like you are losing track of your life and yourself, you can always go back to these questions. Just remember to be honest with yourself.

2. Good relationships

Relationships are important. The positive kind, of course. In a busy world like ours, we often think that we don’t have a lot of time to give to our family or friends.

Even worse, we take it all for granted and postpone it for later, while we prioritize our work.

However, your family, friends, and loved ones are part of what makes your life happier.

good relationships are important
Good relationships are a crucial part of a happy life.

I remember the happiest memories of my life revolve around spending time with my family and friends.

Good relationships really matter. You need to nurture these relationships with the attention, love, and care that they deserve.

Here are a few ways to do that:

  • Spend time with people who support and encourage you.
  • Replace the time you spend on your phone or TV with real people.
  • Do things with your loved ones to strengthen your relationship with them.
  • Reach out to old friends and relatives and connect with your colleagues.

Spend time with positive people and watch how it changes your life for the better.

3. Good health

Health is probably one of the most important things that we take for granted. We don’t eat healthily, we sleep poorly, and we don’t treasure our bodies. But health matters – both our physical health and mental health.

Be kind to yourself, your mind, and your body. A lot of people are not so lucky to have a healthy body, so keep it nourished and nurtured.

Here are some interesting articles filled with tips on how to focus on your health:

Always prioritize your health. Improve your lifestyle. Eat healthily and drink plenty of water. Get out and talk to people. Visit the doctor for regular check-ups. Treat your health as if it is crucial because it really is.

4. Love and accept yourself

Accepting and loving yourself matters. When you completely embrace yourself and nurture your well-being and growth, you’ll start to see the positive effect it has on your life. A positive view of yourself leads to a positive view of the world.

be yourself be fearless
Don’t be afraid to be yourself and accept yourself for who you are.

If you are unable to love yourself, you will be unable to love others too. There was a time in my life when I criticized everything I did and thought that my life fell apart because of how I am. I disliked myself. Not long after, I started distancing myself from people. It was after I learned how to love myself that I could love and care for others.

How did I do that?

  • I accepted my flaws and recognized my strengths.
  • I forgave myself when I made a mistake, but I also held myself accountable.
  • I spent time with those I loved and asked for help when I needed it.
  • I stayed positive as much as I could and let go of resentment.
  • I made healthier choices and tracked my growth and progress.

In short, I started to love myself again, and so can you. Take time to discover your true self and embrace it.

Where Your Heart Will Not Dare / Healthy Ways to Stop Headaches / Friday: Half Price Books and Movie – Harriet

When we finally recognize Visual Poetry, we become more aware of the Beauty all around us.

The pace of our Lives today
takes from us
much of the Wonder and Joy and Beauty
of the World all around us.

I,
the am,
called me,
or whatever I be,
resides nowhere
but in the Heart.
And,
so do you.

And all
that we do,
will magnify us,
if
we bring comfort
and Love
into the Lives
of others.

My Dear Friends,
when we finally recognize
Visual Poetry,
we become more aware of the Beauty
all around us.

To see
where your eyes
cannot stare,
feel
where your Heart
will not dare.

“I Pray that
the eyes of your Heart
may be enlightened,
so that you may know what is
the Hope of His Calling,
and what are the riches of the Glory
of His Inheritance in the Saints.”

Ephesians 1:18

We thrive

The intense

It is

is a Gift,
Visual Poetry,
whose forms are myriad,
mystical and magic –
an intense expression
of the Pure Love
of God.

The Spirit of a Child
is filled with innocence, Joy, Love
and laughter.
Jesus tells us
to
be like Children.

In Matthew 18:3 He says,
“Assuredly, I say to you,
unless you change and become as little Children,
you will by no means
enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Every child
is the message
that God is not yet discouraged
with man.

Our Holy Bible tells us
how all children are
Gifts from God.
Every Life,
every Child,
is a Reward and Blessing.
Children bring Pride and Love and Joy.
They teach us how to be
patient and Loving
and forgiving.

They
are the Teachers.
We
are the students.

Children become the mirrors
of our mind,
and manors,
and our morals.
They reflect
what we think
and
say
and do.

 Children ask questions
that a wise person
can never answer.
They are
Children of God!
.
If you want your children
to turn out well,
spend
twice as much time with them
and half as much money.”

Rabindranath Tagore

.
Every Child
comes through us,
not from us.
And through their
eyes,
we glimpse
the entire World
of Creation.

A Child
is not merely
Visual Poetry,
but transformative
in the Love
felt for us,
and all other
Living Creations.
Every
new born Child of God
feels nothing
but Love.

Why?

Through their eyes, we glimpse the entire World of Creation.

Adolf Hitler

when he was ten.
For three days his family did not know
if he would live or die.
He was frequently beaten every day
from the age of seven
until his father’s death,
when he was 13 years old.
.
If
you want to know
the number one cause
of World War II,
it can be traced back
to the father
of this
Child.

If
you want to know
the cause of so much violence
on our precious Earth,
look no further
than what our fragile Children
have been in sufferance of.

History
will judge us

by the difference we make
in the everyday lives of Children.”

Healthy Ways to Stop Headaches

Headaches. We all get them, and when we do, all we want to do is get rid of them, as quickly as possible. While there’s no shortage of prescription and over-the-counter meds on the market designed to kill the pain, as most people with a headache will tell you, few if any really work – nor do they get to the root causes. Worse, the more you try to ‘treat’ them with drugs, the more likely you’ll get sucker-punched with rebound headaches, a common side-effect. What else do headache meds do? They make you sick in other places, wreaking havoc on your liver and kidneys as well as your belly, triggering leaky gut, gastrointestinal problems and system-wide inflammation.

So what’s a headache sufferer to do? Here’s what’s going on in your head, plus a few healthy strategies to help you fight off headaches – and win:

Oh, my aching head!

Although it may be labeled as a migraine, tension, sinus or cluster headache, whatever the type, headaches are complicated. Generally, there are multiple causal factors at work and, in my experience, there’s usually a tension component involved, so that should be a factor in treatment. It’s also helpful to be conscious of how lifestyle habits and behaviors can trigger headaches to help you figure out the best strategy to fight back. Among the more common culprits:

1.    Unrelieved stress and tension which also leads to poor quality sleep.
.
2.    The modern office: where so many are slumped over in poorly designed desk spaces and office chairs for hours each day, with eyes being strained by computer screen glare and florescent lighting.
.
3.    Not moving enough, or overdoing it at the weight room or spin class, which can cause blood vessels to swell and exertion headaches to follow.
.
4.    Processed foods and foods containing gluten and sugar lead the headache parade, with chocolate, caffeine, cheese, and alcohol not far behind. Another headache-maker? Not eating enough good fats as well as several other nutritional shortfalls.
.
5.    Prescription drugs such as antibiotics, allergy meds, blood pressure meds, anti-anxiety meds, diabetes meds, migraine meds, pain killers, sleep aids, you name it – just about any prescription drug can trigger headaches.

Do a little detective work.

If you’re feeling less than well for a prolonged period of time, and are experiencing frequent digestive distress as well as headaches, it’s probably time to try a Cleanse or an elimination diet for a few weeks. I recommend them because some food sensitivities trigger headaches and a Cleanse or an elimination diet removes the common foods that can trigger them, enabling you to figure out the food sources of your troubles (and rebalance your gut).

Bring on the healing hands.

No matter what type of headache you’ve got, to address the almost universal tension component, put your own hands, or someone else’s, to work for you, to massage the head and neck and release the tension. If you’re not sure how to perform a headache self-care massage, try a YouTube tutorial, or book a professional deep-tissue massage session – and don’t forget to release tension in the jaw which is essential. The placing heat packs on neck and shoulders, and CDB oil, can offer additional relief. To relieve pain, try placing an ice pack or cubes at the temples.

Think outside the pill box.

Acupuncture is another safe and highly effective way to relieve the frequency and severity of headaches and migraines. When pressed for time, drop into salons that offer seated chair massage and ask for a 15-30 minute neck and shoulder treatment. If you like a more hands-off approach, book a session or two at a spa with a ‘salt cave’ or infrared sauna to help relieve and prevent headaches. Another option to consider is biofeedback, which can lower blood pressure and help with pain relief.

Please, make it stop…now!

When you feel a headache coming on, instead of heading to the drug store, head to the natural health store to pick up a healthy quick fixer: essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus and lavender.  All offer headache-pain-taming effects and can reduce headache-related nausea. You can either inhale the scent, or massage the oils onto the temples and forehead as directed. Many of my on-the-go patients like the roll-ons for their go-anywhere convenience, though bottled oils work equally well.

Push Pain Off Your Plate

Since pain and inflammation tend to go hand in hand, you can side-step a lot of headache pain by laying off inflammatory foods. Topping the list of pain ‘flamers: sugar, gluten, refined flours, processed foods, and sugary beverages. When it comes to alcohol, the occasional glass of (preferably organic) wine at dinner shouldn’t cause instant agony, but the less alcohol you drink, the better – the last thing a headache sufferer needs is a hangover.

Eat a pain-tamer.

For many headache sufferers, a diet lacking in magnesium and/or omega-3 fatty acids may be part of the problem. When you fall short on omega-3s, you short-change your body’s ability to curb inflammation, which can also contribute to headache pain. So add omega-3-rich oily fish like mackerel, sardines or salmon to your diet to cut headaches down to size – and possibly even avoid them altogether. Ditto magnesium-rich leafy greens and sulfur-rich veggies like garlic, onions, scallions and chives, as well as cruciferous veggies like broccoli and cauliflower.

Take edible and drinkable pain relief with you.

For those on-the-go, add portable green drink powders to your daily routine. Add water and these green drinks, made from leafy greens and spinach, are great sources of headache-fighting magnesium. At the office, keep a few feverfew tea bags in your desk drawer so you can brew up cups of headache-relieving tea as needed.

Drink your way out of the headache hole.

A lot of us walk this earth dehydrated, and we don’t have a clue. Too much coffee, overheated homes and offices, sweaty workouts, frequent airplane trips, certain meds, alcohol use  –  any and all can leave you significantly under-watered, which reduces the amount of oxygen available to the brain and impacts pain receptors in ways that can make your head hurt. So, as if you needed one more reason, drink up!

Give yourself an edge.

In addition to covering your nutritional and behavioral bases with whole foods, relaxation techniques, quality sleep and gentle movement, I also recommend the following supplements to cover any pain-promoting nutritional shortfalls: magnesium glycinate, fish oil (especially if fish is not your dish), vitamin D and B-Complex.

Keep it moving.

Move more, hurt less. And stretch your upper body as often as possible to keep tension from collecting in your head and neck, ground zero for tension headaches. Doing a few yoga stretches in the morning, and whenever possible throughout  the day, will also keep muscles from bunching up. An end-of-day relaxing yoga class or a few restorative yoga poses just before bed will help keep headaches at bay.

Get your office act together.

To reduce daily eyestrain and some of the common work-day headache triggers, switch to a desk lamp and kill the overhead lights whenever possible. Reduce the brightness on your computer screen and be sure that your screen is always at eye-level (even if you have to work on a laptop). Make sure to take frequent screen breaks, and get up from your chair at least once an hour (and hopefully more!). Be sure that your desk set-up is ergonomically correct — get the boss to spring for a sit-to-stand riser for your monitor and an under-the-desk keyboard tray. All of these desk tweaks will help cut eye, neck and shoulder strain while reducing your weekly headache tally.

A Celebration of Existence / “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare at Stage West Theater

Dedicated to a Precious Mother
One who has suffered beyond belief
And
Lost her wonderful son.
With all my Love to
DEBBY HARRIS

nashvillepicture1

Love does not claim possession, but gives freedom.                        – Rabindranath Tagore

I had a new student, who was older, ask me
A few years in the past,
“How could my life become this?
What is this living for,
If only to have my heart hurt so much
And be buried so deep?”

The pain some of our children share
Is often not really known or understood.

The emptiness created by so much misfortune,
As many young lives have experienced,
Can be filled with such love
As your heart can hold.

sky 2

Everything is a Celebration of Life.

God will never fail you
In your search for Love,
Should you ask.

And so, I Pray
That you Pray.
God will open up the hollow space
Created by transgressions against you,
And fill you with His Spirit
And His Strength
So you will truly live,
To Love others,
As He Loves you,
Yes,
To celebrate Life.

I have witnessed the love
Shared by so many children.
I have seen it in their eyes.
I have witnessed pure joy
Brought to everyone,
By the unconditional Love
In a child’s heart.
Yes,
I know a good heart when I find one.
And so do you.

Sky 3

The emptiness can be filled with such Love as your heart can hold.

As you find joy and forgiveness
In your own heart,
The spirit of your goodness
Will become a part of everyone
That so desperately need your joyful spirit.
I truly long to see your precious life
Reflect the Soothing Colors
Of our Artist’s Loving Hand.
For you are not only a Gift from God,
You are His Child.
And you are deeply Loved.

And after all the deeply heartfelt memories
Of having special moments
With your precious child,
I want you to know something –
That life is a song –
The beautiful music of our brief time.
Celebrate the memory of those precious moments.
Honor our Father in the Heavens above.
Find joy in the precious Gift of Life.
Tell the child
Standing near to you
To come nearer.
Whisper of the Love,
The deep abiding Love,
That dwells within,
The Love you feel
For only her

you ever say

Discover the Bountiful Love of God
In your heart.
He is alive.
His Love is as alive as you,
It dwells within.
Now you may stop searching,
For His Love is you.
You can feel it, in your heart.
In His heart.
In Prayer.

Now you have lifted
Those in need,
From their knees.
Celebrate!
You are alive.
You are in Love,
You are deeply Loved,
And there is Joy within.

The heart of your Loving Spirit
Becomes a part of everyone
In your presence.
Your brief life can become
A triumph of the Spirit.

Even the flowers of the field celebrate.

  My friends,
The whole universe
Is a celebration of existence.
Look around,
Even the flowers of the field
Celebrate
With a rainbow of vibrant color,
With aroma to delight.
You and everything in Life
Have a rhyme, a reason.
You can celebrate breath
With every breath you take,
You can celebrate everything –
The bountiful sunshine, the precious rain, a warm smile, even a frown.

Celebrate life in different ways:
In the food you eat,
The air you breathe,
The people you meet,
In everything you do,
If you see the world
With the eyes of a child.

The Japanese have a special saying for older people – “Living Treasures”. Respect for the Aged Day (Keirō no Hi) is a Japanese holiday celebrated annually to honor elderly citizens every September.

The mark of any civilized society is how it cares for its young people and its elderly. And this concept, considering and valuing our older, experienced and knowledgeable citizens as treasures is missing in America.

My friends, we need a clearer vision. Let’s follow the beautiful example offered by the Japanese culture and value and celebrate our living treasures. Grandparents, fathers, mothers, aunts and uncles have a lifetime of fascinating stories to share with their children and grandchildren.

Not only are their life stories and achievements invaluable to their families, they are important to us as a nation and our collective response towards aging. Older people are the beautifully woven tapestry of living history. They are a true treasure. They are the gold reserves of the Nation. And this gold mine is, essentially, unrecognized and, sadly, unappreciated.

Thinking of them reminds me of Mrs. A. When asked when she plans to retire she responded, “I think they are going to have to carry me out feet first. Until then, I will be here doing what I love, teaching.”

Are you a living treasure yourself ? Don’t leave all those precious

memories tucked away in your head. Isn’t it time you recorded your life story. Please do so, for the sake of your family and your country. Find something to record your precious words – a camera, tape recorder, even pencil and paper. Or perhaps, start a website and surprise your family by beginning with the beginning – chapter one – your earliest thoughts, remembrances, and emotions. Here is a great place to pass on the legacy of your life! Share the meaningful, funny and truly significant stories. And let those you love, and many others, know how much you love them.

Amid the clamor of technological and economic success, a reverence for age, custom, and tradition endures in Japanese culture. And it should also be valued here, in this country.

We don't explain them. We just train them.

We don’t explain them. We just train them.

There are approximately 70 Japanese officially designated as ”The Living Treasures”. They are elderly men and women. Click here for more.

These are women and men in recognized fields who have been designated by the Japanese government as “Bearers of Important Intangible Cultural Assets” are often referred to as “Living National Treasures” or “Ningen Kokuho” coined from the term “national treasure” which was found in a 1929 law.

At the Anderson School, we treasure everyone. And we especially treasure the most valued citizens and educators. Several of our teachers retired years ago. And they enable and enlighten our students with their personal insights and philosophy of life and living garnered from many years of valuable experience.

I am always anxious to meet older and wiser minds still willing to share the vast wealth of their knowledge and their love of life. Are you one these? If so, let me hear from you.

It has become a tradition for students to place a price tag on me at the annual Fossil Mania Show in Glenrose. Prices have ranged from 1 cent to 25 cents, which proves that I am no longer worth less than a “plug nickel”. But last Fall Natalie, known for always telling the truth, placed a tag on my back that said, “Priceless”.

Folks, the knowledge and experience you have gained from a life-time of living and loving life is also, “Priceless”. Pass it on!

These forces, like the right hand and left hand of the creator,
act in perfect harmony,

Caty and Ian were really into face painting.

On Friday, March 28, 2014 we will visit the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, an Urban Wilderness with a mission to enhance the quality of life by enrolling and educating our community in the preservation & protection
of natural areas while standing as an example of these same principles and values in North Central Texas.”

The Nature Center is located just inside the city limits of Fort Worth. It is a hidden jewel, a wilderness comprised of forests, prairies, and wetlands reminiscent of how much of the Fort Worth once looked. Replete with native flora and fauna, the area beckons to those searching for a piece of nature to refresh their spirits and reintroduce a measure of tranquility.

Over 3600 acres, the center is one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the United States and offers residents and visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural history of north central Texas. Over 20 miles of hiking trails provide easy access to a myriad of natural wonders to be found on the Refuge.

And, there were really into a teepee.

And, there were really into an Indian Teepee.

The center is located on the northwest side of Fort Worth, four miles west of I-820 on Jacksboro Hwy. (TX Hwy. 199).
