Today is Tomorrow in Yesterday’s Dream / Power Lines, Electrical Devices and Extremely Low Frequency Radiation / Friday: At School – Shakespeare Play Production

Today
is Tomorrow,
in Yesterday’s Dream.

And the Season
of the Heart,
is always
Spring.

Let every precious breath
you take,
be
the very first breath
of Spring.

Yes,
the Time has come.
Wake up
and come alive.

If
you have missed
so many things
to do,
things you have
never done,
always remember that
Time
is in a swirl,
and it will quickly
take from you
what you need,
if you delay.

Our words
can betray much
to each other.
But more dearly
than the spoken word
can tell,
is the Love
in your eyes,
that speaks
more clearly
than words
will ever tell.

My Dear Friends,
to enjoy the pleasures
of this Life,
they must be
simple.

“Life is really simple,
but we insist on making it
complicated.”
Confucius

Simplicity
opens the door
to Beauty
and beyond.

If we only knew how often
simplicity and complexity
are entwined within every second
of our existence,
we would scarcely be able to breathe.
Such is the Beauty of
simplicity.

Within the simplicity
of Joy,
and the manifestation of Love,
is the underlying substance
of all that is
or ever was.

Simplicity
is the door to experiences of sublime importance.
Without simplicity,
they would be beyond our capacity
to understand or comprehend.
Simplicity is the key
to opening the windows
of Heaven
on Earth.

But complexity,
My Dear Friend,
brings chaos
into range.

“Simplicity is
the ultimate sophistication.”
Leonardo da Vinci

Lingering Sunsets
are God’s invitation,
to walk slowly
past the Beautiful Gifts
He
has provided all around:
Flowers that abound,
the Grass
so green
it lends new meaning
to colors that
may be found,
with Trees
like Cathedrals
pointed toward the Sky,
where you and I
may place our
Hearts,
and our bountiful
Dreams.

“If you can’t explain it to a six year old,
you don’t understand it yourself.”
Albert Einstein

Rainbows
in His Sacred Sky
are there
for you and I
to see a debt
has long been paid.
God’s Promise
was made,
and His Beautiful Language
will linger long
for us to see
beyond
His Love
for you
and me.

It is now the time
to dance with the rhythm
of the falling rain,
and join yourself
with all the Beauty of the Natural World
and receive its
bountiful Blessings
and Gifts.

The curvature
of our cravings
for more and more,
is not
curve-linear,
not round or smooth
or elliptical.
It is
jagged,
defined by violence
and war.

But,
we can do better,
we can do
more.

As the collective Human mind
releases
its desires and cravings,
it releases the hold
it has on you.

“People from the same ethnic group
who live closely
are more likely to instigate and organize each other
to fight rival ethnic groups,
whereas ethnic groups more dispersed within a country
are less likely to lead to intrastate conflict
due to a lack of coordination.”

Geography of Conflict

We
do not war
with
each other.
We war
in prescribed ways –
one geographical accident
of birth,
opposed to another
in geography
that is simply
birthed
in a different location.

“War is an inherently geographical concept:
it is fought across territories,
by territorially-bounded states,
and its outcomes influence the remapping
of that system of states.
Wars create geographies
and geographies create wars.
Colin Flint

My Friends,
bullets
that take the Life
of another,
never
hit the ground.
.
They also
take the precious Lives
of many, many others,
unnamed and unknown.
They kill the Children,
the sons and daughters
of us all,
never to be born.
They destroy
all Hope
for Children of Children of Children –
and on and on and on,
a number reaching into Infinity,
and far, far beyond.

“Whoever saves a single Life
is as if one saves
the entire World.”
Talmud

The cost of war
can never be
measured.
It cannot be
found,
even in the imagination,
or the perplexities
of mathematics
unknown and profound.

The true cost
is an Infinity
of
Infinities.

No
such number
will ever be
found.

“Thou shalt not kill.”
Exodus 20:13

Everyone,
as a Child,

has a beautiful Heart.

Every Day
is a wonderful Gift
and a Blessed day.

Happiness
may come into your Life
today.
And a small happiness
can lead to great Joy
throughout your
Life.

There is Infinite Love
and Hope and Light
in you.

Let the pathway
for others
be
through your Sacred
Heart.
Take someone
by the hand
and help them,
and they
will show you
the way.

Through the Heart
of another
lies
a truly Joyful
day.

Goodnight.

and Extremely Low Frequency Radiation

What is extremely low frequency (ELF) radiation?

Radiation is the emission or sending out of energy from any source. X-rays are an example of radiation, but so is the light that comes from the sun and the heat that is constantly coming off our bodies.

When talking about radiation and cancer, many people think of specific kinds of radiation such as x-rays or the radiation in nuclear reactors. But these are not the only types of radiation that concern us when we think about radiation risks to human health.

Radiation exists across a spectrum from very high-energy (also referred to as high-frequency) radiation to very low-energy (or low-frequency) radiation. This is sometimes referred to as the electromagnetic spectrum.

Examples of high-energy radiation include x-rays and gamma rays. They, as well as some higher energy ultraviolet (UV) rays, are classified as ionizing radiation, which means that they have enough energy to remove an electron from (ionize) an atom. Ionizing radiation can damage the DNA inside cells, which can lead to mutations and the uncontrolled cell growth we know as cancer.

Extremely low frequency (ELF) radiation is at the low-energy end of the electromagnetic spectrum and is a type of non-ionizing radiation. Non-ionizing radiation has enough energy to move atoms around or make them vibrate, but not enough to directly damage DNA. ELF radiation has even lower energy than other types of non-ionizing radiation like radiofrequency radiation, visible light, and infrared.

With most types of radiation, the electric and magnetic fields are coupled. Because they act as one, they are considered together as an electromagnetic field (EMF). But with ELF radiation, the magnetic field and the electrical field can exist and act independently, so they are often studied separately. Typically, we use the term “magnetic field” to indicate ELF radiation from a magnetic field, while we use “electric field” to mean ELF radiation from an electric field.

The possible link between electromagnetic fields and cancer has been a subject of controversy for several decades. It’s not clear exactly how electromagnetic fields, a form of low-energy, non-ionizing radiation, can increase cancer risk. Plus, because we are all exposed to different amounts of these fields at different times, the issue has been hard to study.

Electric and magnetic fields

All radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum is produced by the interactions of 2 forces, referred to as fields. Radiation has both an electric field and a magnetic field.

Electric fields are the forces acting on charged particles (parts of atoms), like electrons or protons, which cause them to move. Electric current is simply the flow of electrons produced by an electric field. The strength of an electric field is often expressed as volts per meter (V/m) or, for stronger fields, as kilovolts per meter (kV/m), where a kilovolt is 1000 volts.

magnetic field is created when charged particles are in motion. The strength of a magnetic field can be expressed in many different units, including tesla (T), microtesla (µT or one millionth of a tesla), and gauss (G), where one G equals 100 µT.

How are people exposed to ELF radiation?

Generating, transmitting, distributing, and using electricity all expose people to ELF radiation. Power lines, household wiring, and any device that uses electricity can generate ELF radiation. Thus any electric device, from refrigerators and vacuum cleaners to televisions and computer monitors (when they are on) are sources of ELF radiation. Even electric blankets expose people to ELF radiation.

How much electromagnetic radiation you are exposed to depends on the strength of the electromagnetic field, your distance from the source of the field, and the length of time you are exposed. The highest exposure occurs when the person is very close to a source putting out a strong field and stays there for a long period.

Does ELF radiation cause cancer?

Researchers use 2 main types of studies to try to figure out if something causes cancer.

  • Lab studies: In lab studies, animals are exposed to different levels of the substance (sometimes at extremely high levels) to see if this exposure causes tumors or other health problems. Researchers might also expose normal human cells in a lab dish to see if this causes the types of changes that are seen in cancer cells. It’s not always clear that the results from these types of studies directly apply to humans, but lab studies are a good way to find out if an exposure might possibly cause cancer.
  • Studies in people: Other types of studies look at cancer rates in different groups of people. Such a study might compare the cancer rate in an exposed group to the rate in a group with lower exposures, or to a group not exposed at all. Sometimes the exposed group’s cancer rate is compared to the cancer rate in the general population. But it can be hard to know what the results of these studies mean, because many other factors might affect the results. For example, people are typically exposed to many substances other than the one being studied, and these other exposures could affect the results.

In most cases neither type of study provides conclusive evidence on its own, so researchers usually look at both lab-based and human studies when trying to figure out if something can cause cancer.

Studies in the lab

Several large studies have looked at the possible effects of ELF magnetic fields on cancer in rats and mice. These studies expose the animals to magnetic fields much stronger than what people are normally exposed to at home, with fields ranging from 2 to 5000 microtesla (µT). Most of these studies have found no increase in the risk of any type of cancer. In fact, the risk of some types of cancer was actually lower in the animals exposed to the ELF radiation. One study did show an increased risk of tumors that start in thyroid cells, called C-cells, in male rats at some exposures. This increased risk was not seen in female rats or in mice, and was not seen at the highest field strength. These inconsistencies, and the fact that these findings were not consistently seen in the other studies, make it hard for scientists to conclude that the observed increased risk of tumors is from the ELF radiation.

Other studies in mice and rats have looked specifically for increases in leukemia and lymphoma as a result of exposure to ELF radiation, but these studies have also not found a link.

Studies in people

Studying the effects of ELF radiation in people can be hard, for many reasons:

Exposure to ELF radiation is very common, so it’s not possible to compare people who are exposed with people who aren’t exposed. Instead, studies try to compare people exposed at higher levels with people exposed at lower levels.

It is very hard to determine how much ELF radiation a person has been exposed to, especially over a long period. As far as we know, the effects of ELF radiation do not add up over time, and there is no test that can measure how much exposure a person has had.

Researchers can get a snapshot of ELF exposures by having a person wear a device that records their exposure levels over hours or days. Or, researchers can measure the magnetic or electrical field strength in a person’s home or workplace settings.

Other options include estimating exposure based on the wiring configuration of someone’s workplace/home or on its distance from power lines. But these methods result in exposure estimates that have a lot of uncertainty and that can produce biased estimates of total exposure. They typically do not account for a person’s ELF exposures while in other places, they don’t measure ELF exposures in every location that person has ever lived or worked over their lifetime. As a result, there are no good ways to accurately estimate someone’s long-term exposure, which is what matters most when looking for possible effects on cancer risk.

In children

  • A number of studies have looked at a possible link between ELF radiation from magnetic fields in the home and childhood leukemia, with mixed results. Still, when the findings from these studies are combined, a small increase in risk is seen for children at the highest exposure levels compared to those with the lowest exposure levels. Studies looking at the effect of ELF electric fields on childhood leukemia have not found a link.

Studies have generally not found any strong links between ELF electric or magnetic fields and other types of childhood cancers.

In adults

Although several studies have looked at possible links between ELF exposures in adults and cancer, most have not found a link.

What expert agencies say

Several national and international agencies study different exposures in the environment to determine if they can cause cancer. (Something that causes cancer or helps cancer grow is called a carcinogen.) The American Cancer Society looks to these organizations to evaluate the risks based on evidence from laboratory, animal, and human research studies.

Based on animal and human evidence like the examples above, some expert agencies have evaluated the cancer-causing nature of ELF radiation.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is part of the World Health Organization (WHO). One of its major goals is to identify causes of cancer. In 2002, IARC considered the evidence for ELF magnetic and electric fields separately:

  • It found “limited evidence” in humans for the carcinogenicity of ELF magnetic fields in relation to childhood leukemia, with “inadequate evidence” in relation to all other cancers. It found “inadequate evidence” for the carcinogenicity of ELF magnetic fields based on studies in lab animals.
  • It found “inadequate evidence” for the carcinogenicity of ELF electric fields in humans.

Based on this assessment, IARC has classified ELF magnetic fields as “possibly carcinogenic to humans.” It has classified  ELF electric fields as “not classifiable as to their carcinogenicity to humans.”

In 1999, the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) described the scientific evidence suggesting that ELF exposure poses a health risk as “weak,” but noted that it cannot be recognized as entirely safe, and considered it to be a “possible” human carcinogen.

How can I avoid exposure to ELF radiation?

It’s not clear that exposure to ELF radiation is harmful, but there are things you can do to lower your exposure if you are concerned. Your exposure is based on the strength of the ELF radiation coming from each source, how close you are to each, and how long you spend in the field.

The NIEHS recommends that people concerned about their exposure to EMF (and ELF radiation) find out where their major EMF sources are and move away from them or limit the time spent near them. For example, moving even an arm’s length away from a source can dramatically lower exposure to its field.

Power lines

People who are concerned about ELF radiation exposure from high-power electrical lines should keep in mind that the intensity of any exposure goes down significantly as you get farther away from the source. On the ground, the strength of the electromagnetic field is highest directly under the power line. As you get farther away, you are exposed to less and less, with the level eventually matching normal home background levels. The electromagnetic field directly under a power line is typically in the range of what you could be exposed to when using certain household appliances.

If you are concerned about your exposure to electromagnetic sources around you (including power lines), you can measure the field strength with a device called a gaussmeter.

How Far Do We Travel? / Eight Things Kids Need To Thrive / Friday: Montgomery Street Antique Mall

Dedicated
with Love
and Admiration
to my wonderful Friend,
and the best Friend
to everyone he met:

Bob Puryear

Thank You
Bob.

I know of no one
I admire more
than this Beautiful Soul.

You are truly admired.

You Life
is the Language
of God’s Love.

Everyone
appreciates the Beautiful Life and Love
you have dedicated
to the precious Children
of this Earth.

We Love You.

Throughout our Journeys
of Life
and Love,
we wonder
as we wander,
how far
do we travel
to change the Life
we have lived?

May our errors
be quivered
like arrows?

Yes.

With thoughts and deeds,
and words we weave
of nothing
but Love.

My Dear Friends,
our heavy heartaches
and pain,
may now be
blended into
precious cargo.

Our moments of
remembrance
can be molded and shaped
into what it already is,
and what
it was always
meant to be.

We
Children
of an Almighty God,
were created by Love,
to Love.

“Whoever does not Love
does not know God,
because
God is Love.”
1 John 4:8

There is nothing
to fear,
when your Heart
is near,
to Loving thoughts
and deeds
and dreams.
.
The Human Heart
is a vast and deep
Ocean
of wants and desires
and dreams of needs.
But
all
your Heart truly wants
is the Love
that is
you.

It is,
as it was to be,
in Love
with Life.

If
you are hoping
wounds heal,
but they do not,
perhaps
it is because
you are at war
with Love.

And that
is a war
that will never
be won.

The web we weave
of traveled threads
can rend apart.
But,
Hope is Home
to the Heart
set free,
by Love.

Always,
look to Love
as you voyage
and dream.
Give your Love
wings,
and Love will be
as it was meant
to be,
and fly you
Home.

When Hearts speak
louder than words,
Life drifts into
the Dreams we Love,
and Life
becomes our
Dreams.

.Once upon a Time
we closed
our tired eyes,
and met
our very best friends,
the ones
who opened the door
and let you in,
into their Hearts
and into their Lives.
.
The ones,
like Mom and Dad,
who kissed you
when you were very young,
on top of your head,
who said without words
spoken or read,
that Love
Is what we are,
why we are alive,
and the only thing
that should
ever be
said.

Keep your eyes on the Sky above.

Under God’s Heavens above
we journey so very far
on the roads of Life.

Keep your eyes
on the Sky above.
Let Love rise,
like the Morning Sun,
and never
let Love depart.

“As I journey through the land, singing as I go,
Pointing Souls to Calvary – to the crimson flow,
Many arrows pierce my Soul from without, within;
But my Lord leads me on,
through Him I must win.

Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His Face,
There to sing forever of His Saving Grace;
On the streets of Glory let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last,
ever to rejoice.

When in service for my Lord
dark may be the night,

But I’ll cling more close to Him,
He will give me Light;

Satan’s snares may vex my Soul,
turn my thoughts aside;

But my Lord goes ahead,
leads whate’er betide.”

                – Rufus H. Cornelius
Oh, I Want to See Him

“If Life’s essence
is securely hidden,
it may be for a good reason:
should man uncover
many more of its secrets
while he is still Spiritually so immature,
it seems he could do himself
and his World
serious harm.”

Some
are never read.
Others never written,
and can never be read.

A precious few are created

of their head.

And their stories are written
in dreams they have,
where they lay
their little head.

Children’s Hospital Colorado:

The eight things kids need to thrive

In an era of aggressive marketing toward kids and parents alike, many parents wonder what kids actually need. Turns out, there’s a pretty clear answer.

“Years of research in child development have identified eight essential requirements for kids to become happy, successful adults,” says Harley Rotbart, MD, a nationally-renowned parenting expert and vice chair emeritus of Pediatrics at Children’s Colorado. “And none of them involve high-tech gadgets, video games or fancy clothes.”

The eight things kids need to thrive

  1. Security

Kids must feel safe and sound, with their basic survival needs met: shelter, food, clothing, medical care and protection from harm.

  2. Stability

Stability comes from family and community. Ideally, a family remains together in a stable household, but when that’s not possible, it’s important to disrupt the child’s life as little as possible. Kids and families should be a part of larger units to give them a sense of belonging, tradition and cultural continuity.

  3. Consistency

No “good cop, bad cop.” Parents should synchronize their parenting and make sure important values stay consistent.

  4. Emotional support

Parents’ words and actions should encourage kids’ trust, respect, self-esteem and, ultimately, independence.

  5. Love

Saying and showing you love your kids can overcome almost any parenting “mistakes” you might make. Even when your kids have disobeyed, angered, frustrated and rebelled against you, show them you love them and that you’ll always love them.

  6. Education

Make sure your kids get the best possible education for their future. This includes school, of course, but it also includes the invaluable life lessons you provide during the time you spend together.

  7. Positive role models

Parents are their kids’ first and most important role models. Instill your values and teach children empathy by being the kind of person you want them to become.

  8. Structure

Rules, boundaries, and limits: Without them, kids are forced to be adults before they are ready, and they lose respect for you and other adults.

The “miracle solution”: kids need time

Perhaps the most important factor of all is time. Without enough time to spend with kids and be a parent, “You miss out on the wonderful privileges of parenting,” Dr. Rotbart says. “And kids miss out on some of their needs.”

The converse is also true.

“Time is the miracle solution for most dilemmas of parenthood,” says Dr. Rotbart. “Taken in minutes or hours, the time you spend with your kids gives you the opportunity to provide your kids all their essential needs — and much more.”

Searching For ALL Our Tomorrows in Yesterday / 12 Truths About Living In an Illusion / Friday: Bureau of Printing and Engraving

“But,
Beloved,
be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord
as a thousand years,
and a thousand years
as one day.”
 2 Peter 3:8

We all wonder
about Life
in many ways,
as so many days
wander past us
searching,
ever searching
for all our Tomorrows,
in Yesterday.

And when we look
right through us,
we see
the World turning
still.
And we ask –
is this moment
separate and apart
from any other?

Near the end,
are we closer
to the beginning?

“Life
can only be understood
backward,
but it must be lived
forward.”
Soren Kierkegaard

.
Today
and yesterday
define a line
we call Time.
But in reality,
Time, to us, simply compares
two bodies
floating in space,
in which
neither today or yesterday
truly exists.
.
Physicists agree
that Time is one of the most difficult properties
of our Universe to understand.
Yes.
It is difficult
to understand that
which does not
exist.
George Harrison “It’s being here now that’s important.
There’s no past and there’s no future.
Time is a very misleading thing.
All there is ever,
is the now.
We can gain experience from the past,
but we can’t relive it;
and we can hope for the future,
but we don’t know if there is one.”

George Harrison

.We rarely think
about the fundamental nature of Time.
But it is a Human concept,
based on the Earth orbiting around the Sun,
and has no True Universal value.

There is no one simple definition
of Time.
We think it would be easy to understand,
but a real comprehension of Time
has proved to be elusive.
It is a nonspatial continuum
that is measured in terms of events
which succeed one another.
We THINK
of these events
as the past through the present to the future.

Our Tree of Life has many branches.

We picture Time
flowing like a River,
and we directly experience the flow of that River.
The present we think is objective,
and that everyone shares
in the present moment.
And we assume the present moment
divides everyone’s past from the future.
But the future does not really exist.
Time
is an illusion
and is independent of the presence
of physical objects.

Albert Einstein “Time is
an illusion.”

Albert Einstein

Time is indefinite
– merely the continued progress
of existence
and events WE label
past, present, and future,
which can be regarded
as a
whole.

And,
as the illusion of Time
rewrites every line
of our brief story,
between the lines
we find
so much of what
we truly are,
and what we
may become
in this moment,
we call
Today.

And if
we feel
we need more Time,
would it be a waste of
Time?
If
there is doubt,
will there be
more time
for doubt?
.
Not if our Dreams
become
the pulse of our
Humanity.
My Friend,
there is no Time,
and no such thing as Time,
or the need
for
doubt.
.
Keep dreaming.
And
hold on to Life,
as we venture on
and journey
through the dark
of Night.
For in the end
there will be
Light,
if there is

Love.

.
“Ring the bells that can still ring
forget your perfect offering,
there is a Crack in everything,
that’s how the Light gets in.”
Leonard Cohen
.
Life
is a sequence
of moves
in and out
of the shadows
of our thoughts,
not of Time.
We create the
future
with our new
thoughts.
They evolve
moment by moment
into our new
Reality.
And this new
Life,
like ALL Life,
is Miraculous.
And it is
mirror-aculous.
.
Give a mirror
to a young Child
who has never seen
a mirror before.
He may see
a reflection
of the Sky
and ask,
as a Child is
wont to do:
“Are you
giving me the
Sky?”
To which you
may reply:
“Yes,
and I have given
YOU
the me
in I.”
.
Both
are True.
Life
is a mirror,
reflecting
your inner
World.
.
You
do not see
the World
as it is.
You see it
as YOU
are.
.
What you hold
in your mind,
comes to
Life.
What you hold
in you Heart
is Life.
.
Embrace both
your Heart and your mind,
for the powerful and Beautiful
things that they are.
But don’t try to make one do the job of the other.
Let your Heart decide
and your mind
guide you.
..
“The way
we experience the
World around us

within us.”
Ritu Ghatourey

We
are playing a
game
called Life,
in which we
are unaware
of the rules.

“Make your Heart
like a Lake,
with calm, still surface,

and great depths of kindness.”
Lao Tzu
.
A child
needs to be taught
how to calmly reflect upon
Life
and our Beautiful place
in it.
.
You
can Truly Bless a Child
with an atmosphere of calm and reflection
and with soothing musical experiences.
In this day of unrest on every level of Life,
this Blessing,
of calm and patient reflection,
will be appreciated more than words
can ever express.
And
it may save
the Life
of your precious Child.
We cannot see
our reflection
in running water.
It is only
a still water
in which we can see
ourselves.
Only
in the calm
of the moment,
can we truly reflect upon
the moment.
.
.“The Sun is only shining like it always does.
But I never noticed it in the Sky before.
I will write it on the walls of the World
So that the Sun won’t fade away
the words I say
to you –
I Love you.”

has many branches that reach high into the Sky
and roots that dig deep
into our Mother Earth.
And these join
into the endless circle
of our Being.
.

“Time stops
when Love recognizes
that it is eternity.
Douglas G. Rivela

.

And THAT,
My Dear Friend,
is what Time truly is.
IT  IS  LOVE.

Have you never noticed
that Time stops
when you are in
LOVE ?
.
God
is Love.
He is
Eternal Love.
.
“Whoever does not
Love

does not know God,
because
God is
Love.”

1 John 4:8
.

While in your Mother’s Womb,
she Dreamed about
YOU.

And like the Dream
of you,
many Dreams come true.
But when she looked
into your eyes,
she realized,
God
Dreams too.

ALL
of our Tomorrows
are here
to dissolve into
Yesterday –
a precious Gift
to manifest into
Light and Wonder.
.
“We sit,
look back at the time.

The starry sky displays the slides
of our togetherness.
We are in the realm of
Love,

where the law of space-time fails.
And I gently whisper,
Love,
we are beyond.”
Hrisha Paul

We can explore
Infinity
by exploring the limits
of our known
Universe
a vast array of more than
two Trillion Galaxies,
expanding at the outer edges
faster than the speed
of Light.

What lies beyond
Infinity,
is Spiritual.
It is the realization
of God’s Infinite
Love.

“May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be Righteous
May you grow up to be True
May you always know the Truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
And may you stay forever young.

Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your Heart always be Joyful
May your song always be sung
And may you stay forever
young.

Forever young,
forever young.”

Bob Dylan, Jim Cregan, Kevin Savigar, Rod Stewart

Yes,
God is Love!
And Love is
Time.

Goodnight.

12 Truths About Living In an Illusion
by Vernon Layne

Here are twelve common truths that you’re living in an illusion:

1. You see the present through your past. Your past plays an important role in your life.  It’s there to teach you what you could have done differently or what you need to continue doing. THAT’S ALL.  It’s not there for wallowing in or condemnation. We fall short of His Glory so it’s important you learn to give yourself a break. Let go of your past and not become its prisoner then it will be easier for you to put things in its proper perspective.

2. You believe you can control things that are uncontrollable.  Stop trying to control people and situations. One of life’s most important lessons is learning to give up the illusion of control. You may wonder how you suppose to give that up, but the fact is you were never in control. The moment you think you’re in control is the moment you’re out of control.

3. You only see the bad in yourself and others. If you ask someone to list things about themselves most will list liabilities. People have a hard time seeing the good within themselves.  Not finding the good in you makes it impossible to see the good in others.

That’s why it’s important to take a complete self-assessment and list your access along with your liabilities and accept what you find. When you do this everyone wins. You win because you begin to grow and others win because they are encouraged to grow from watching you.

4. You believe everything you feel and think. Imagine being judged inaccurately by two people who don’t know you. Believing everything you feel and think is just like listening to two people gossip. Your feelings aren’t facts. Don’t believe everything you think and feel because they can influence you to make unwise decisions. Learn to make decisions from facts and not feeling.

5. You search for fulfillment through things. The only person you can’t run away from is yourself. There’s nothing wrong with trying to get things in life but don’t lose yourself in the process by not understanding why you’re doing it. When the chase for things becomes more important than your family and your health, then it’s a destructive rush that’s causing harm. Most of the time you’re trying to fill a void or block a feeling when you’re searching for fulfillment in things.

6. Your self-worth comes from social media. All your life you wanted to belong and fit in, so you spend a lot of time on social media– yet never quite measuring up. The more likes you get the better you feel. The reality you need to hear and afraid to admit is when you’re not getting those likes you think you should be getting, you feel down almost depressed. Depending on social media to feel relevant is an illusion many people believe.

7. You think your happiness is your mate’s responsibility. It’s not fair to your mate when you expect them to be responsible for your happiness. They’re there to add to your happiness. It’s your responsibility to see that you’re happy. It’s not healthy and it doesn’t work when one partner isn’t responsible for his own feeling, thoughts and actions.  A healthy relationship is when a couple can grow in unity while at the same time growing as individuals, so take ownership of your own happiness.

8. You’re convinced everything supposed to go your way.  Self-centeredness is at the core of self-deception. It can create an illusion that you’re right and the world is wrong base on a feeling or an idea. You began to see yourself as a victim. Understand that everyone experiences life challenges and that you’re not the only one. To see things clearly bring your attitude in line with reality.

9.  You think you don’t need help. Most people, myself included, believed at some point in their life that they could do it all bystart living a new life themselves. This kind of thinking doesn’t work very well. The only guarantee you will get is being frustrated and exhausted.

We are here to help and support one another. Your life will be enhanced when you’re able to see people as a gift from God. Take the time and get to know the gifts God have given you by learning to trust others, reaching out to others, and admitting your need for others.

10. You believe you can’t change. It’s important to examine this false belief because it may not be yours. You could have picked it up from your parents. I know this may sound a little harsh but some parents tell their children self-defeating things. Not all illusions come from you. Some are created by others.

11. You think your success is because of the work you’ve done. Don’t become a legend in your own mind. As you begin to experience success in life it’s important to give credit where credit is due. Selfishly claiming what belongs to God is the quickness way to lose it all. Pride usually comes before the fall so give the Glory to God.

12. You feel you’re alone. I call this the ultimate illusion. The next time you’re by yourself look around you. Feel the air. Go outside and watch the squirrels chase each other. Look up and see the clouds move gracefully. God’s presence is all around you. You are never alone.

Foolish dreamers live in a world of illusion;
wise realist plant their feet
on the ground.
(Proverbs 14:18.)
