Where Your Heart Will Not Dare / Healthy Ways to Stop Headaches / Friday: Half Price Books and Movie – Harriet

When we finally recognize Visual Poetry, we become more aware of the Beauty all around us.

The pace of our Lives today
takes from us
much of the Wonder and Joy and Beauty
of the World all around us.

I,
the am,
called me,
or whatever I be,
resides nowhere
but in the Heart.
And,
so do you.

And all
that we do,
will magnify us,
if
we bring comfort
and Love
into the Lives
of others.

My Dear Friends,
when we finally recognize
Visual Poetry,
we become more aware of the Beauty
all around us.

To see
where your eyes
cannot stare,
feel
where your Heart
will not dare.

“I Pray that
the eyes of your Heart
may be enlightened,
so that you may know what is
the Hope of His Calling,
and what are the riches of the Glory
of His Inheritance in the Saints.”

Ephesians 1:18

Silhouettes
of Morning and Evening Light
are there for those
who
desire to Commune
with God,
from within His Canvass
of Many Colors.

We thrive
on the rhythm
of our fragile Human Hearts,
never fully knowing
this rhythm,
like the rhythm of the falling rain,
is Poetry
without words.

The intense
Light of the Moon
is surreal,
Spiritual,
and thought provoking.
It is
but another
in the countless, Beautiful Blessings
and little recognized Gifts
from God.

             His Canvass of Many Colors.

Every
Child of God
is a Gift,
Visual Poetry,
whose forms are myriad,
mystical and magic –
an intense expression
of the Pure Love
of God.

The Spirit of a Child
is filled with innocence, Joy, Love
and laughter.
Jesus tells us
to
be like Children.

In Matthew 18:3 He says,
“Assuredly, I say to you,
unless you change and become as little Children,
you will by no means
enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Every child
is the message
that God is not yet discouraged
with man.

Our Holy Bible tells us
how all children are
Gifts from God.
Every Life,
every Child,
is a Reward and Blessing.
Children bring Pride and Love and Joy.
They teach us how to be
patient and Loving
and forgiving.

They
are the Teachers.
We
are the students.

Children become the mirrors
of our mind,
and manors,
and our morals.
They reflect
what we think
and
say
and do.

 Children ask questions
that a wise person
can never answer.
They are
Children of God!
.
If you want your children
to turn out well,
spend
twice as much time with them
and half as much money.”

Rabindranath Tagore

.
Every Child
comes through us,
not from us.
And through their
eyes,
we glimpse
the entire World
of Creation.

A Child
is not merely
Visual Poetry,
but transformative
in the Love
felt for us,
and all other
Living Creations.
Every
new born Child of God
feels nothing
but Love.

Why?

Through their eyes, we glimpse the entire World of Creation.

Adolf Hitler
was beaten into a coma
when he was ten.
For three days his family did not know
if he would live or die.
He was frequently beaten every day
from the age of seven
until his father’s death,
when he was 13 years old.
.
If
you want to know
the number one cause
of World War II,
it can be traced back
to the father
of this
Child.

If
you want to know
the cause of so much violence
on our precious Earth,
look no further
than what our fragile Children
have been in sufferance of.

History
will judge us

by the difference we make
in the everyday lives of Children.”
Nelson Mandela

Goodnight.

When our Love meets the visual poetry of God, Beauty will arise.

Healthy Ways to Stop Headaches

Headaches. We all get them, and when we do, all we want to do is get rid of them, as quickly as possible. While there’s no shortage of prescription and over-the-counter meds on the market designed to kill the pain, as most people with a headache will tell you, few if any really work – nor do they get to the root causes. Worse, the more you try to ‘treat’ them with drugs, the more likely you’ll get sucker-punched with rebound headaches, a common side-effect. What else do headache meds do? They make you sick in other places, wreaking havoc on your liver and kidneys as well as your belly, triggering leaky gut, gastrointestinal problems and system-wide inflammation.

So what’s a headache sufferer to do? Here’s what’s going on in your head, plus a few healthy strategies to help you fight off headaches – and win:

Oh, my aching head!

Although it may be labeled as a migraine, tension, sinus or cluster headache, whatever the type, headaches are complicated. Generally, there are multiple causal factors at work and, in my experience, there’s usually a tension component involved, so that should be a factor in treatment. It’s also helpful to be conscious of how lifestyle habits and behaviors can trigger headaches to help you figure out the best strategy to fight back. Among the more common culprits:

1.    Unrelieved stress and tension which also leads to poor quality sleep.
.
2.    The modern office: where so many are slumped over in poorly designed desk spaces and office chairs for hours each day, with eyes being strained by computer screen glare and florescent lighting.
.
3.    Not moving enough, or overdoing it at the weight room or spin class, which can cause blood vessels to swell and exertion headaches to follow.
.
4.    Processed foods and foods containing gluten and sugar lead the headache parade, with chocolate, caffeine, cheese, and alcohol not far behind. Another headache-maker? Not eating enough good fats as well as several other nutritional shortfalls.
.
5.    Prescription drugs such as antibiotics, allergy meds, blood pressure meds, anti-anxiety meds, diabetes meds, migraine meds, pain killers, sleep aids, you name it – just about any prescription drug can trigger headaches.

Do a little detective work.

If you’re feeling less than well for a prolonged period of time, and are experiencing frequent digestive distress as well as headaches, it’s probably time to try a Cleanse or an elimination diet for a few weeks. I recommend them because some food sensitivities trigger headaches and a Cleanse or an elimination diet removes the common foods that can trigger them, enabling you to figure out the food sources of your troubles (and rebalance your gut).

Bring on the healing hands.

No matter what type of headache you’ve got, to address the almost universal tension component, put your own hands, or someone else’s, to work for you, to massage the head and neck and release the tension. If you’re not sure how to perform a headache self-care massage, try a YouTube tutorial, or book a professional deep-tissue massage session – and don’t forget to release tension in the jaw which is essential. The placing heat packs on neck and shoulders, and CDB oil, can offer additional relief. To relieve pain, try placing an ice pack or cubes at the temples.

Think outside the pill box.

Acupuncture is another safe and highly effective way to relieve the frequency and severity of headaches and migraines. When pressed for time, drop into salons that offer seated chair massage and ask for a 15-30 minute neck and shoulder treatment. If you like a more hands-off approach, book a session or two at a spa with a ‘salt cave’ or infrared sauna to help relieve and prevent headaches. Another option to consider is biofeedback, which can lower blood pressure and help with pain relief.

Please, make it stop…now!

When you feel a headache coming on, instead of heading to the drug store, head to the natural health store to pick up a healthy quick fixer: essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus and lavender.  All offer headache-pain-taming effects and can reduce headache-related nausea. You can either inhale the scent, or massage the oils onto the temples and forehead as directed. Many of my on-the-go patients like the roll-ons for their go-anywhere convenience, though bottled oils work equally well.

Push Pain Off Your Plate

Since pain and inflammation tend to go hand in hand, you can side-step a lot of headache pain by laying off inflammatory foods. Topping the list of pain ‘flamers: sugar, gluten, refined flours, processed foods, and sugary beverages. When it comes to alcohol, the occasional glass of (preferably organic) wine at dinner shouldn’t cause instant agony, but the less alcohol you drink, the better – the last thing a headache sufferer needs is a hangover.

Eat a pain-tamer.

For many headache sufferers, a diet lacking in magnesium and/or omega-3 fatty acids may be part of the problem. When you fall short on omega-3s, you short-change your body’s ability to curb inflammation, which can also contribute to headache pain. So add omega-3-rich oily fish like mackerel, sardines or salmon to your diet to cut headaches down to size – and possibly even avoid them altogether. Ditto magnesium-rich leafy greens and sulfur-rich veggies like garlic, onions, scallions and chives, as well as cruciferous veggies like broccoli and cauliflower.

Take edible and drinkable pain relief with you.

For those on-the-go, add portable green drink powders to your daily routine. Add water and these green drinks, made from leafy greens and spinach, are great sources of headache-fighting magnesium. At the office, keep a few feverfew tea bags in your desk drawer so you can brew up cups of headache-relieving tea as needed.

Drink your way out of the headache hole.

A lot of us walk this earth dehydrated, and we don’t have a clue. Too much coffee, overheated homes and offices, sweaty workouts, frequent airplane trips, certain meds, alcohol use  –  any and all can leave you significantly under-watered, which reduces the amount of oxygen available to the brain and impacts pain receptors in ways that can make your head hurt. So, as if you needed one more reason, drink up!

Give yourself an edge.

In addition to covering your nutritional and behavioral bases with whole foods, relaxation techniques, quality sleep and gentle movement, I also recommend the following supplements to cover any pain-promoting nutritional shortfalls: magnesium glycinate, fish oil (especially if fish is not your dish), vitamin D and B-Complex.

Keep it moving.

Move more, hurt less. And stretch your upper body as often as possible to keep tension from collecting in your head and neck, ground zero for tension headaches. Doing a few yoga stretches in the morning, and whenever possible throughout  the day, will also keep muscles from bunching up. An end-of-day relaxing yoga class or a few restorative yoga poses just before bed will help keep headaches at bay.

Get your office act together.

To reduce daily eyestrain and some of the common work-day headache triggers, switch to a desk lamp and kill the overhead lights whenever possible. Reduce the brightness on your computer screen and be sure that your screen is always at eye-level (even if you have to work on a laptop). Make sure to take frequent screen breaks, and get up from your chair at least once an hour (and hopefully more!). Be sure that your desk set-up is ergonomically correct — get the boss to spring for a sit-to-stand riser for your monitor and an under-the-desk keyboard tray. All of these desk tweaks will help cut eye, neck and shoulder strain while reducing your weekly headache tally.

The Child Within / Simple Health Tips / Friday: Rollerland West and La Madeleine Country French Cafe

“And wherever I climb
Far away and anywhere,
You raise me high
beyond the sky,

Through stormy night
lifting me above.

Whenever I cry,
Far away and anywhere,
You hear me call
when shadows fall.

Your Light of Hope
showing me the way.”

– Elgin Lumpkin, Robert Tigley Gerongco,
Samuel Tigley Gerongco

                  The Child within.

If
you want to give
your precious Child
a Gift,
give the Child within,
the Child you are,
the Child once you were,
the Child you have been
and want to be
again.

Through your Child’s eyes
you can finally come
to see,
that YOU
are no longer blind
to the Love of God
within.

Listen,
you can hear
the Voice of God
in the laughter
of your Child at play,
in the songs
you sing,
in the breeze –
the melody of the leaves
in the trees,
in the Love you see
drifting on a lake
of beautiful
memories.

On a lake of beautiful memories.

“Let the little children come to me,
and do not hinder them,
for the Kingdom of God
belongs to such as these.

Truly
I tell you,

anyone who will not receive
the Kingdom of God
like a little child
will never enter it.”
Luke 18:15-17

Let the Child
in you
bring you Home.
And by the Grace of God,
you will never again
be alone.

Love that simply will not die.

There is something
time cannot deny.
It lives
in our memories,
it is alive
in our Dreams,
and never echos goodbye.
It is
the Love
that simply will not
die.

The Human Heart
is always in
Prayer.
What it needs,
it fervently desires.
But the mind
does not permit
the Heart
to always be
aware.

jhb

When evening
gilds the beautiful sky
and colors the Heart,
Love
filters through the mind,
and stills
our restless Soul.

For the Eye
of your Spirit,
is the Ear
of your Heart.

“O Love
That will not let me go,

I rest my weary Soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the Life I owe,
That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

O Light that followest all my way, georgematheson
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My Heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the Promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.
George Matheson

My Friends,
there is Victory
in the Word,
the Sacred Word
of God.
Lift His Love
from each page
sent from Above,
and God
will lift from your
tearful Heart
all doubt.

“Life has meaning
only in the struggle.

Triumph or defeat
is in the hands of God.
So let us celebrate the struggle!”

– Swahili Song

I am
the Flowers
in pastures green.
I am
the birds in flight that sing.
I am
clay
in the Hands
of the Potter.
I am
His Breath
drawn of deep desire,
to be His Child,
and He,
my Father.

Voices combine.
Music rhymes.
Our Hearts
are one.
The Miracle of Life
we Glorify,
and our Love
of Life
becomes a Song.

I am a Flower in pastures green.

Adoramus.
Gloria in Excelsis Deo.
Glory to God in the Highest.

As we sing the Song
of Life,
we cannot deny,
we touch the
Sky.

               Blessed Assurance

The greatest moment
in all of time,
in everything you do,
everything you hear
and say,
in everything you endure,
is the moment
of Blessed Assurance
of God’s Love
for
YOU.

Goodnight.

Touch the Sky
by Ben Crawley

“Climb a tree to touch the sky.
Through the leaves I watch the birds fly,
in the softly swaying breeze
from my nest among the trees.
So the golden light dances
through the pattern of branches
all the colors of autumn,
alive.
As the leaves of evening fall
from my throne above us all,
where the faithful blossom flowers,
here I while away for hour after hour,
climb a tree
to touch the sky.”

Simple Health Tips

Bitters

Combat a yen for sugar by following a Chinese medicine approach: Eat foods such as endive, radicchio, cooked greens, and olives.

Fish

If you suffer from dry eyes, up your seafood intake. Salmon, sardines, and mackerel contain omega-3 fatty acids, which the body uses to produce tears, among other things. Research suggests that people who consume higher amounts of these fats are less likely to have dry eyes.

Probiotics

Supplementing with “good” bacteria (for example, Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium) may help restore the balance the of bacteria and inhibit the growth of infections. Foods such as naturally fermented sauerkraut, kimchi, and kefir, as well as yogurt with active cultures, also contain these bacteria.

Bilberry

Studies are mixed, but some have found that bilberry, a relative of the blueberry, may improve night vision. During World War II, fighter pilots reported better night vision after eating bilberry jam. 25 to 50 milligrams of bilberry extract will give the best results within the first few hours.

Bananas

People whose diets are rich in potassium may be less prone to high blood pressure. Besides reducing sodium and taking other heart-healthy steps, eat potassium-packed picks such as bananas, cantaloupe, and oranges.

Capsaicin Cream

For sore muscles and joints, apply a cream or ointment that contains capsaicin, the active ingredient in chile peppers, two or three times a day. The heat from the peppers has been shown to help relieve pain.

Garlic

Adding raw or lightly cooked garlic and onions to your meals may help keep you healthy this winter. Both foods appear to possess antiviral and antibacterial properties and are believed to boost immunity.

Tulsi

Research suggests that this Ayurvedic herb, also called holy basil, may help manage levels of the stress hormone cortisol, helping to boost your mood. Look for teas and supplements in health-food stores and follow package directions.

Avocados

For dry skin, incorporate more avocados into your diet. They’re rich in monounsaturated fat and vitamin E, both of which promote healthy skin. Try them on salads and sandwiches, and even in smoothies.

Triphala

Avoid constipation and stay regular with Triphala, an Ayurvedic blend of three fruits that is believed to help tone the gastrointestinal tract. Look for capsules of Triphala and follow package directions.

Arnica

Homeopathic creams, gels, and ointments that contain arnica, a flower similar to the daisy, have long been used to relieve swelling and bruising. Rub into the affected area, but stop using if you develop skin irritation.

GLA

If you’ve ruled out other causes of hair loss, such as stress, overuse of hair-care products, and certain medications and diseases such as hypothyroidism, consider supplementing with evening primrose oil. It’s a good source of gamma-linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid that’s needed for hair growth and is hard to get from your diet. Experts recommend taking 500 milligrams twice a day; expect to wait eight weeks to see results.

Japanese Food

In addition to following good dental hygiene, you can help prevent cavities by adding more shiitake mushrooms and wasabi to your diet. Both foods contain compounds that help fight the bacteria that cause plaque and cavities.

Hydrate

To treat an acute migraine, drink a full glass of water — dehydration can trigger headaches. Even if you need to take a medication for the pain, try wrapping your head with an Ace bandage so that it covers your eyes, then lie down and breathe deeply. This often helps the pain pass more quickly.

Calendula

To ease acne, forgo benzoyl peroxide for lotion or soap made from calendula flowers, which may have antiseptic effects.

Cranberry Juice

Cranberries contain a substance that appears to keep bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract and has been shown to help prevent UTIs. Because cranberry cocktail is high in sugar, drink unsweetened juice diluted with water or take capsules of powdered cranberry extract.

Mint Tea

Ease occasional indigestion by sipping a cup of peppermint tea after your meal. Peppermint improves the flow of bile, which moves food through the digestive tract more quickly. Use peppermint with caution if you have acid reflux; it can make that problem worse.

Friendly Fungi

The medicinal mushroom cordyceps has traditionally been used to promote lung strength, and some studies show that it may improve symptoms of respiratory conditions such as asthma and bronchitis. Look for capsules or tinctures of cordyceps; follow package directions.

Honey

Research suggests that honey may be more effective than over-the-counter cough syrup at quelling nighttime coughing. Use a medicinal-grade variety such as manuka honey and take up to 2 teaspoonfuls at bedtime.

Broccoli

For healthy gums, put this green vegetable on your grocery list. It’s an excellent source of vitamin C and provides calcium as well, both of which have been linked to lower rates of periodontal disease.

Green Tea

Hot or iced, green tea can help rev up your workout. Its catechins, antioxidants, and caffeine help increase the metabolic generation of heat. Drink a cup about 10 minutes before exercising.

 From our friends at Health.Com:
Everyday Habits That Are Aging You
By LINDA MELONE

Are you aging faster than your years? If you don’t like what you see in the mirror, it may be time to evaluate some of your daily routines. The foods you eat and even the way you sleep can add years to your face and may shorten your lifespan.

“People think multitasking is good, but you don’t actually get anything done – you just create more stress,” says Raymond Casciari, MD, chief medical officer of St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, Calif. Several studies show that chronic stress triggers the release of free radicals, the unstable molecules that damage cells and are responsible for aging. Instead of trying to do it all, Dr. Casciari suggests concentrating on one task at a time and only moving on once you finish it.

Your sweet tooth may also be adding years to your face. “Internally, sugar molecules attach themselves to protein fibers in each of our cells,” says Susan Stuart, MD, a San Diego, Calif. board-certified dermatologist. This damaging process, known as glycation, can result in a loss of radiance, dark circles under the eyes, loss of tone, puffiness, an increase in fine lines and wrinkles and a loss of facial contours and increased pore size. Pass on the sugary treats if you want to preserve your youthful glow.

Skimping on sleep not only results in dark bags under the eyes – it has also been linked to a shorter lifespan, says Dr. Casciari, who founded a sleep laboratory at St. Joseph’s Hospital. “Sleeping within the seven-hour range is optimal,” he says. Get to bed earlier if you have the symptoms of sleep deprivation, which include a lack of daytime energy, mental sluggishness, attention problems, or weight gain, Dr. Casciari says.

Regularly gluing yourself to the TV is another. In a British Journal of Sports Medicine study of about 11,000 Australians ages 25 and older, researchers found that for every hour of television watched, adults cut their life expectancy by 22 minutes. What’s more, people who spent an average of six hours a day watching TV lived five years less than their non-viewing counterparts. “This effect is more about sitting and being inactive than the TV watching,” says Dr. Casciari. “When you sit for more than 30 minutes your body begins to deposit sugar into your cells, which makes it much more likely you’ll be overweight as well.” Whether you’re watching TV or at your desk, get up every 30 minutes to walk around, says Dr. Casciari.

People who spend most of their days parked in a chair are at increased risk for kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, and cancer, not to mention obesity. Exercising regularly helps to prevent these health issues and keeps you living longer, according to a study from the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Study participants who exercised 150 minutes or more a week lived 10 to 13 years longer than the inactive bunch.

Sleeping on your stomach or on your side with your face smashed into the pillow can create wrinkles and accelerate aging. “The connective tissue and collagen in your face becomes weaker and less supportive with age,” says James C. Marotta, MD, a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and skincare expert. “So when you sleep on the same side of your face night after night, your skin won’t smooth out or spring back as quickly as it did when you were young.” Those crease lines from your pillow can become permanent. Sleep on your back or invest in a satin pillowcase to keep skin smooth.

It’s tempting to crank up the heat indoors. But whether you light up the fireplace or turn up the thermostat, both suck moisture out of the air, says Dr. Marotta. “This can lead to dry, inflamed skin, which over time has aging effects.” Investing in a humidifier helps counteract the dry air (40 to 60% humidity is optimal) and can free your skin from itching, scratching, and flaking. Alternatively, Dr. Marotta recommends placing a wet towel over a radiator or a bowl of cold water in the room as a way to add back some of the lost moisture.

Drinking dark-colored beverages through a straw can prevent stains on your teeth, but just as squinting can eventually cause wrinkles to form around your eyes, pursing your lips can also bring about premature wrinkles around the mouth. “This also occurs when smoking cigarettes,” says Janet Prystowsky, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in New York. Pour your bottled beverages into a drinking glass to avoid puckering up.

Some fat is necessary for maintaining a youthful feeling and appearance, says Franci Cohen, a certified nutritionist and exercise physiologist from Brooklyn, NY. “Heart – healthy omega 3 fatty acids found in oily fish (such as salmon and mackerel) and certain nuts (such as walnuts and flax seeds) keep skin supple and plump, thereby preventing wrinkles, and they boost both heart and brain health as well,” she says. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends including fish in your meals at least twice a week.

May Cause Death BUT – Safe? / Another Simple Solution

Has anyone seen my laundry basket?

Has anyone seen my laundry basket?

“For the greater individual
is the one who is the servant of all.
And to conquer self is greater than taking many cities.
For, here ye may find humbleness
as against that which cries oft for expression,
and the feeling of not being appreciated.
Express it more in the greater amount of love
upon those who may be aided through thy effort.
For, remember, man looks upon the things of the day
but God looks upon the heart
.”
–  Edgar Cayce

From the National Briefs of the Baltimore Sun – The makers of Ritalin, Adderall, Stratera and other drugs that treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder were advised by the government to give patients and parents an additional warning that those medicines can cause SERIOUS psychiatric and heart problems, including SUDDEN DEATH.

Now, for the sadly humorous part. After this stern and serious warning comes this from OUR government employee:
Dr. Tom Laughren, Director of psychiatry products for the F. D. A., who emphasized that the move was precautionary and should not FRIGHTEN patients from taking the drugs, which he said are SAFE!
You simply cannot make this stuff up.
Of course this warning is not inclusive enough. Ritalin is a highly addictive stimulant drug and is the pharmaceutical equivalent to cocaine. It is classified by our government as a psychoactive drug with cocaine and morphine because it is highly addictive.

Please read Why French Kids Don’t Have ADHD posted on Jan. 13, 2014 on this website (William’s Weblog).

The Physicians’ Desk Reference admits evidence on the carcinogenicity of Ritalin. Apart from cancer risks, there is also evidence that Ritalin induces genetic damage in blood cells of Ritalin-treated children.

My dear Parents, please, I beg of you now and forever more, remove your precious child from these harmful and highly addictive substances. There are many other things you can now do, rather than use dangerous chemicals to mask what you assume is a problem. Your common sense will guide you down the pathway of salvation.

I believe the first is to realize that there is no problem. You think you have a hyperactive boy? No. He is just a normal, healthy child who needs to exercise his rapidly developing body. Personally, I can attest to the fact that I have never met a hyperactive child, not in over forty years of providing for the needs of children.

By the way, sports programs put highly active children to good use. So why not take advantage of all that energy and give the team a few extra points. Sports programs are a viable way to give credit and trophies and ribbons and headlines and exercise and a great appetite and new friends and admirers to the so called hyper-active child. Let’s turn what you, the pill popping Doctor or the educator (suffering what I call: L. T. S. – lazy teacher syndrome) may view as a disadvantage into what is really a great advantage in life. On your way to letting your child try out for a spot on a team, flush all those dumb pills together with all stupid advice down the toilet. Flush it twice!

Please remember: there is nothing wrong with your child. God created each one of us in His Image. He created us the way He wanted us to be. We are perfect in His Sight.

Send your child to school with a T-shirt that says: Don’t Mess With Texas and DON’T MESS WITH ME! I shall always be DRUG FREE.

Second, if he (or possibly she) is driving you crazy, welcome to the real world. So open the back door and put him in the back yard, playing with other kids and a big dog – you know, slightly more active than he is. Better yet, show him or her how to use a hammer and nails and let the kid build a tree house. Closer to Heaven is where he belongs – up in the tree house. And buy some band-aids. Carpentry is one of those avocations where mistakes are valuable and painful. You never have to tell a child to keep his eye on the nail twice. The hammer is indeed a powerful teacher using natural teaching methodology. Don’t ask me how I know this.

And give your child a list of things to do to help you. Hey, they owe you a lot! And, believe it or not, they will love to help you. You may consider paying for their service. Did money not provide motivation for you to work? Please do NOT give your child money. We are not out to create potential political candidates with unrealistic expectations living in an unreal world. Always let your children EARN what they receive. As Mrs. Anderson is fond of saying, “Money should be equal to work”. And while they are playing outside remember, absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder. Too much togetherness means – not everyone will return from a two year trip to Mars. Someone will get booted out on the way back!

Third. Provide environments that are flexible and surround your normally active (not hyper – it does not really exist) child with people, you know, adults, that understand normal child development and are citizens of the real world (some are not). Remove your child from the presence of others who are intolerant – they are probably on something themselves.

Please do not permit corporate-driven and financially incentivized entities, or just plain lazy teachers, to turn your son or daughter into a nearly comatose and endangered member of our species, with drugs they will not themselves take. Your child is not an experimental lab rat.

Remember, you can lose the precious personality of the child you adore. These drugs will do that. I have witnessed it. Or worse, you can lose your child. Now, let’s turn to something positive we can do.

My dear friends, we have suffered enough
Our ignorance, coupled with the intolerable greed and arrogance of corporate America, has led us down a broad avenue of disease and malnutrition. Yes, we have had enough. Friends, our children deserve better. You deserve better. And the Internet, as laced as it is with pitfalls and danger, is also a pathway to freedom. It is a tool, just a tool, as are many other technologies. And in the right hands, your hands, it can lead you to a better quality of life and longer life for you and your children.
The use of it requires thoughtfulness and a guiding hand, which happens to be your hand. Please allow me to share a beautiful story of hope and salvation with you. It comes From NaturalNews. This article has enormous implications for prevention and cure. It directly relates to you and your child. Please take time and read it and contemplate its findings. It provides yet another simple solution.

Fish Oil saves life of boy with brain injury

Thursday, October 25, 2012 by P. F. Louis
High school student Bobby Ghassemi was taken out of his crashed vehicle and airlifted to a nearby Virginia hospital more dead than alive with severe brain trauma. He was so much more dead than alive that the physician who eventually advised the Ghassemi family on using fish oil, Dr. Michael Lewis said, “For all intents and purposes, he was dead on the scene.I’m looking at the reports, and they report a Glasgow Coma Score of three. A brick or piece of wood has a Glascow Coma Score of three. It’s dead. “Bobby was placed in intensive care in a coma with all the apparatus possible to keep him a breath from death. His brain was flooded with blood and a hole had to be put into his skull to relieve some of the pressure. The hospital’s physicians commented that his brain injury was so bad, it was a wonder that he was alive enough to be in a coma. They told Bobby’s father and mother it was doubtful he’d be more than a vegetable if he came out of the coma. He’d be unable to speak or recognize his family.

Time for a drastic intervention

After 10 days, Bobby was still comatose. His dad, Peter, felt more should be done than maintaining stability in a coma. So he started asking around to old Army buddies and was led to Army colonel Dr. Micheal Lewis who recommended fish oil based on an early episode of a West Virginia coal miner who barely survived a mining accident with severe brain damage. His condition had resembled Bobby’s.

The 26-year-old miner, Randall McCloy, was “on death’s doorstep,” according to Randall’s hospital neurosurgeon, Dr. Julian Bailes. He and the other doctors then decided to forgo the normal wait and see after Randall was stabilized in intensive care.

They decided to take a radical course from normal AMA protocol and put Randall into hyperbaric therapy to increase oxygen to his brain while administering fish oil through Randall’s feeding tube. After a brain injury, even as some recovery is noticed, the brain cells continue dieing from progressive inflammation.

Dr. Bailes knew that the brain needs to feed on omega-3 fatty acids to heal inflammation as well as stimulate brain and nervous system cell growth. After discussing Randall’s condition with fish oil omega-3 experts, Dr. Bailes determined that 20 grams fed through Randall’s feeding tube daily might bring him around.

20 grams is 10 times more than what an uninjured person would supplement with fish oil. Dr. Lewis explained the Dr. Bailes intervention with Randall to Bobby’s dad, who thought the whole thing strange. But he realized that three months after the mining accident, Randall McCloy left the hospital walking and talking.

At first, the hospital staff resisted Peter’s urging to try the fish oil therapy on his son Bobby. Their viewpoint was that the McCloy incident was just one anecdotal episode and not worth pursuing, perhaps even risky. But Peter persisted strongly and they finally yielded.

Today, at age 20, Bobby smiles as he recalls his high school graduation where he took off his cap and waved it to the cheering students. His dramatic recovery has left him with some weakness on the left side of his body and difficulty walking, but he’s back.

Yet, even after two successful applications of omega-3 fish oil for extremely brain damaged victims who recovered rapidly after both were written off from any significant recovery, the medical establishment only equivocates and considers the possibility of someday exploring omega-3 fish oil “scientifically” for brain traumas.
