“We’re heading for something,
Somewhere I’ve never been.
Sometimes I am frightened.
But I’m ready to learn,
Of the
Power of Love.”
.
– Wolfgang Detmann, Jennifer Rush,
Mary Susan Applegate, Gunther Mende
We are
yearning to know
the Source of our Existence,
the Meaning
of our Life.
And in contemplating
the seemingly unfathomable,
we may come realize
that in the depths
of our Hearts,
in our Love
for our Children,
and in our Love
for ourselves,
and our Love for each other,
and in the Love
of God,
is the ultimate meaning
of Life,
the understanding,
the Hope
for all
Mankind.

A vivacious Love of Life and Living.
Our quest
to understand
the Beautiful Abstract Art
that is Life,
invites you to discover
something about yourself,
and your Maker,
and
about the meaning
of Life itself.
It is not easy to comprehend
our Portraits,
drawn from the struggles
to survive,
blended as they are
with the illusions of Life
and of Living.
In each moment,
we stand at a
crossroads
and sigh.
For,
there are things
we cannot
deny.
.
One is,
that without Love,
we will surely
die.
Nowhere
to be found,
is Love
never felt.
Nowhere
to be heard,
is a Song
never sung.
In the darkness
of silence
we
cannot remain,
we cannot
survive.
“Hello darkness,
My old Friend,
I’ve come to talk with you again.
Because a Vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping.
And the Vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains,
Within the sound
Of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.
And in the naked Light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share.
No one dare
Disturb the sound of silence.
“Fools”
said I,
“You do not know.
Silence like a cancer grows.
..
Hear my words
that I might teach you.
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of
silence”
– Simon & Garfunkel

Nowhere to be heard, is a Song never sung.
Our reason for Being
appears
to be open to interpretation.
Our representation on Earth,
in such brevity
as is this one brief moment,
is as fleeting
as the movement of clouds
across the horizon
of our sky.
“From this moment Life has begun.
From this moment you are the one.
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on.
From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your Love I’d give my last breath.
From this moment on.
I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can’t wait to live my life with you, can’t wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you
From this moment as long as I live
I will Love you,
I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn’t give
From this moment on.
You’re the reason I believe in Love
And you’re the answer to my prayers from up above.
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you.
From this moment as long as I live
I will Love you,
I promise you this
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live.
From this moment on.”
– Robert John Lange

He has made everything Beautiful.
Understanding
the Work of Art
that is your Child,
requires a truly open mind,
devoid of Judgement.
When you look at the Living Portrait
of such a precious Gift,
what do you see?
Whirling shapes,
appearing at times
to approach the speed of Light,
seemingly weightless,
colorfully arrayed patterns
in constant motion.
I know.
Children seem to be
that way.
But look closely,
and you will see
in the language of Nature,
and in the Nature of
your precious Child,
is a vivacious Love
of Life and Loving and Laughter,
and truly Living.

In the language of Nature.
Pure energy and cosmic flow,
a Divine message
that in the dynamic of Life,
is the Divinity of Love.
They are Beautifully
intertwined.
They are
one.
“Morning has broken,
like the first morning.
Blackbird has spoken,
like the first bird.
Praise for the singing,
praise for the morning.
Praise for them springing
fresh from the Word.
Sweet the rain’s new fall,
Sunlit from Heaven.
Like the first dew fall,
on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness
of the wet garden.
Sprung in completeness
where his feet pass.
Mine is the Sunlight,
mine is the Morning.
Born of the One Light,
Eden saw play.
Praise with elation,
praise every morning.
God’s re-creation
of the new day.”
– Cat Stevens, Eleanor Farjeon
My Dear Friends,
we are called to reflect
upon the Life
of our ancestors.
.
As we gaze into the eyes
of our Children,
Love,
Honor,
and Cherish
our Mother Earth.
Walk upon Her lightly.
And wish Happiness and Kindness
to all Hearts,
to all Life.
Thank God
for the Wondrous Creations,
and Thank Him
for YOU
being
you.
For you
are the most
wondrous Creation
of all.
“Perhaps Love
is like a resting place,
A shelter from the storm.
It exists to give you comfort.
It is there to keep you warm
And in those times of trouble
When you are most alone
The memory of Love will bring you Home.
Perhaps Love is like a window
Perhaps an open door
It invites you to come closer
It wants to show you more.
And even if you lose yourself,
And don’t know what to do,
The memory of Love will see you through.
Oh, Love to some is like a cloud,
To some as strong as steel,
For some a way of living,
For some a way to feel.
And some say Love is holding on,
And some say letting go.
And some say Love is everything,
And some say they don’t know.
Perhaps Love is like the ocean:
Full of conflict, full of change,
Like a fire when it’s cold outside,
Or thunder when it rains.
If I should live forever,
And all my dreams come true,
My memories of Love will be of
you”
– John Denver
WHAT
will withstand the passage
of time?
The song
your Life will sing
will make one think and reflect
upon the Beauty
and brevity
of Life.
Blessings
are all around us.
Just become aware of them.
It is easy
to lose focus on what we have,
and on what we lack.
But,
thinking such as this,
is detrimental
to you,
and all those
who cherish you,
and Love you.
The great Blessing
that comes from having a Child
is the intense Love and Joy
that overcomes you when your child
is what you are thinking of.
.
This Love you feel
will make you want to protect
and Pray for them,
and give them the greatest Life
and all the Love
that you can.
And then,
My Friend,
let God do the rest
in bringing up
your child.
Life is a Beautiful Gift.
And,
a child received by
a grateful Mother and Father,
is as Beautiful and Precious
as anything we find in nature.
Goodnight.
Someone’s lost the plan
For the Brotherhood of Man.
And no one’s trying to find it anymore.
And the winds become a sigh,
For those who hate and those who die.
And the waves are black and slow along the shore.
And will the grass be gone from underneath the sky?
Will the golden flower wither soon and die?
Will the fire burn out the land?
And the sea fill-up with sand?
Will the last word ever spoken
be
why?
.

All-Natural Products That Pose Absolutely NO Risk
from Natural News
http://www.naturalnews.com
Keeping harmful chemicals in your home puts both children and pets at risk (as well as adults), especially if they accidentally get into them when you’re not looking. That’s why it’s best to use all-natural products that pose absolutely NO risk, except to your target.
Below are ways to effectively deter ants naturally, provided by Mother Nature Network.
Lemon Juice – Spraying pure lemon juice in or around openings near your home can prevent the pests from entering.

Kylee found several new friends at the Zoo.
Cinnamon – Ground, oil or combined with ground cloves, both fill your home with warm, seasonal scents and deter ants if sprinkled in their paths.
Peppermint – either by itself, or combined with equal parts water can be mixed and sprayed directly at the ants or along their pathways.
Coffee grounds – place used coffee grounds in the cracks near their entryway. The coffee deters the ants, forcing them to set up shop somewhere else.
Chalk – Drawing a line around windows or doorway entries has kept ants at bay for some. You can usually find chalk at home improvement stores, some of which come in a squeeze bottle, making application easy.
Baking soda and powdered sugar – Mixing baking soda and powdered sugar in jar lids and placing them in strategic corners can greatly reduce ant populations.
Hot water and dish soap – Filling a spray bottle with soap and hot water can work very effectively against ants. Also, food items that attract ants, such as honey jars, can be placed on a small water-filled saucer to prevent the insects from reaching it.

Rylee, Kylee and Kayla loved feeding the birds.
Vinegar plus equal parts water isn’t just great for cleaning your kitchen counter tops and floors but has been known to sufficiently kill unwanted insects. Pouring the solution where the ants have their nest is key. You can also mix vinegar with peppermint for an extra kick that gets rid of them faster.
Cream of wheat – Posts on Helpful Gardener say cream of wheat takes care of ant infestations. After eating the cream of wheat, rolled oats, dry cornmeal or grits, it swells up in their guts and their stomachs explode.

We love the Fort Worth Zoo.
There are so many effective ways to control ants, or other insects, without using toxic chemicals. Next week, I may focus on helping to control the Uncles! And later, the pesky cousins.

Also from Natural News: For decades, top officials at the Environmental Protection Agency (PEA) were aware that a compound approved for agricultural use in the United States was wiping out the Honeybee population, but they chose to ignore the compound’s effects in deference to pressure from agri-giant corporations.

Is that Dr. A setting a good example for lunch? And, what’s with the fur coat?

Travis showed us his two handed method.
The results have been disastrous. The heavy use of glyphosate has led to the rise of so-called “superweeds” that are resistant to the herbicide. And there is another compound that was approved by the EPA — over the objections of scientists — that has had a devastating effect on the nation’s honeybee population: clothianidin, which is used for seed treatment on corn and canola, by Bayer.

Alden showed us the finer points of befriending the feathered ones.
‘Honeybees are going extinct’
Tests and field studies, as well as incident reports suggest the potential for long term toxic risk to honey bees and other beneficial insects.
A number of EPA scientists – those with integrity, anyway – have tried along the way to sound the alarm – over both glyphosate and clothianidin.
In a piece for The Huffington Post, former EPA scientist Evaggelos Vallianatos wrote that honeybees were on the verge of extinction.
.
Here is a beneficial insect pollinating a third of America’s crops, especially fruits and vegetables, and we thank the fragile and highly beneficial honeybees with stupefying killing.

A good time was had by all at the beautiful Fort Worth Zoo. Please take your family for a relaxing, wonderful time.
Poisoning of honeybees became routine in the mid-1970s with the EPA’s approval of neurotoxins encapsulated in dust-size particles that took days to release their deadly gas. He further noted that some of his colleagues have tried to denounce the EPA actions, but the agency reacted “with fury” after one EPA ecologists discovered neurotoxic plastic spheres in the gut of a queen honeybee, which “meant poison in the honey.
“It forced the scientist out of his laboratory and into paper pushing in Washington. Approval of the industry’s neurotoxins expanded to cover most major crops. This meant honeybees had less and less space to search for food without dying,” Villianatos wrote. Read the entire Mason report here [PDF].

Please Note: LeVonna and I maintain a honeybee hive behind our home. Honeybees have thrived on our property for decades. We have lived in harmony and have treasured their presence. The wildflowers we keep during the Spring and Summer, in front of the school, are beautiful to see and they are for our Friends – OUR beautiful and precious HONEY BEES.
But more importantly, the Flowers are grown without the use of pesticides and benefit our precious, life sustaining honey bees and many other beautiful creations, such as spectacular moths, mosquito eating and unbelievably beautiful Dragonflies, our precious friends the Praying Mantises, our bountiful and beautiful life saving birds and many others.
