Want Cleaner Air in Your Home or Office?
NASA Says to Do This

It’s easy, but it can dramatically improve your air quality and decrease your risk of asthma, allergies, auto-immune disorders, cancer, and more.

By Melanie Curtin@melaniebcurtin

According to the EPA, indoor air quality is 3-5x worse than outdoor air. And the ultimate in indoor air is that of a space station — ventilation simply isn’t possible. This is partly why NASA researchers set about determining the best way to cleanse the air in space stations. Is it a machine? A certain humidifier?

No: It turns out to be plain old Houseplants.

The head of the NASA research was Dr. B.C. Wolverton, who said, “plants emit water vapor that creates a pumping action to pull contaminated air down around a plant’s roots, where it is then converted into food for the plant.”

In other words, what’s toxic for us is food for them. They remove chemicals like benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, ammonia — chemicals that have been linked to minor health effects like headaches and eye irritation as well as major ones like asthma and cancer. Plus, plants then emit oxygen, which further improves our air.

NASA advises keeping at least one plant for every 100 square feet of home or office space. Here are the top 10 suggested plants:

1. Spider Plant

If you have dust allergies, this is the plant for you. In two days, a spider plant can eliminate close to 90 percent of toxins in a room. Its leaves absorb both mold and other allergens (including dust), and it has also been shown to absorb carbon monoxide and formaldehyde. Bonus: It’s easy to grow and hard to kill.

2. Peace Lily

The Peace Lily is more than just pretty — it can improve indoor air quality by up to 60 percent. It also reduces levels of mold by absorbing spores into its leaves, then down to its roots for food. The Peace Lily also ingests acetone vapors and can keep bathrooms free of mildew (including on tiles and shower curtains).

3. English Ivy

This is good for the office: Research shows that having English Ivy on your desk helps you focus, since it absorbs benzene, a chemical common in office supplies and appliances. English Ivy is also great for homes with pets — it lowers levels of fecal matter in the air.

4. Boston Fern

Boston ferns are excellent for those with dry skin, since they act as natural air humidifiers. They also lower levels of formaldehyde, which is found in glues as well as cabinetry and some furniture. Gardeners, take note: Boston ferns also help remove toxic metals like mercury and arsenic from soil.

5. Heart Leaf Philodendron

The heart leaf philodendron is one of the most effective plants at removing formaldehyde as well as carbon monoxide from the air. However, it’s actually toxic to consume, so best to keep it up and out of sight in homes with kids and pets.

6. Eucalyptus

Good for the bedroom, Eucalyptus emits a refreshing minty fresh scent that’s more than just nice to smell — it soothes your respiratory tract. By gently opening nasal passages, it aids in breathing. It also kills airborne germs, keeping your office or home safe and healthy.

7. Aloe Vera

Aloe does more than heal cuts and burns. It helps keep your home or office free of benzene, a toxin often found in paints and chemical cleaners. It’s also handy to have on hand in the summertime, since it can soothe your skin if you get a sunburn.

8. African Violets

Simply looking at the purple of African Violets has been shown to benefit one’s health. Gazing at it helps stimulate the release of a small amount of adrenaline, which raises energy levels, and increases the flow of oxygen to your brain, which helps you relax. Bonus: They grow well in artificial light, making them perfect for the office.

9. Chinese Evergreen

The Chinese Evergreen’s tiny red berries help eliminate toxins frequently found in chemically-based household cleaners. Plus, the longer you keep the plant around, the more toxins it removes. You’re not the only one who improves with age.

10. Chrysanthemums (Mums)

Mums are both beautiful and beneficial. They absorb benzene, found in plastics, paints, and detergents. They’re also exceedingly cheerful to look at.

Plants are an elegant solution to the ubiquitous nature of the chemicals found in nearly all homes and offices. Green up your environment and green up your lungs. Your health will thank you.

To Make The Meaning of Life Come True / Significant Scientific Discoveries / Friday: Fossil Mania in Glenrose

To make the meaning of Life
come true,
open your mind
and your precious Heart,
to receive
the Love you
give.
Radiate the Love
you truly feel.
Open your Heart,
to the Loving energy
coming back to you,
in so very many
ways.

“He who abides in Love
abides in God,
and God in him.”
– 1 John 4:16

There is Love
all around:
in every Leaf
that falls
from every Tree,
in every Ray of Sunlight
that falls every day,
in every drop of Rain
that falls from skies above,
and in every Prayer
you Pray.

Your place on
Earth,
is a Sacred Space.

Happiness
comes from
Living the Truth.
And
Truth
dwells in the center
of your very Human Heart,
in your Love
and Compassion
for Yourself,
and every other
precious Living Being.

Miracles
far beyond our greatest
imaginings,
abound
in everything
God
has Created.

            In every Ray of Sunlight.

My Dear Friend,
negative thoughts
are beneath the
Dignity
of our Sacred Existence.

Physicists have discovered
that the entire Universe
is pure energy,
and nothing is solid.

“Concerning matter,
we have been all wrong.
What we have called matter is energy,
whose vibration has been so lowered
as to be perceptible to the senses.
There is no matter.”

Albert Einstein

Our True Nature is pure energy,
which is consciousness.
.

As Children of God
we are incarnated into this level of Reality.
But with our very limited senses,
we are in sufferance of physical illusions
and identify with material forms.
We are removed from awareness
of our Original Nature.

To experience our Ultimate Truth,
follow the advice
found in the Holy Word of God,
and look within yourself.

“Once you have gained knowledge
and start to experience the Truth
contained in the cosmic cycles of Time,
you can start to influence and change the Quantum field
with awareness and conscious observation.
You become aware of the Laws of Creation,
aware that you are the Creator of your experience
and you choose your destiny.”

All that we are is energy,
and that energy has no boundaries.
It is infinite,
it is the invisible force
that permeates all Space
and Time.

“You have little control
over the World around you,
but full control over the World
within you.”
– Matshona Dhliwayo

The Kingdom of God,
the place where God resides,
is Truly within you.
Yes,
God is within.
Anyone who has ever seriously
meditated,
knows that when you go deep enough within yourself,
you discover
Infinite Universal Consciousness.

Yes,
you can become aware of yourself
as an Infinite and Eternal
Spiritual Entity,
a Child of God.
The more your awareness expands,
the more you live with an alertness
that stems from Love.
Throughout History
many, many people
have become aware.

With the Vibrations of Love,
we are resonating with the highest energy of Creation,
that of Universal, Infinite Consciousness.
With feelings of Love,
we align with that energy
and channel it through us
and expand and become that energy.

Everything, all matter, in our Universe vibrates.
Nothing is still.
Vibration rates are “frequencies”.
And Human thought is a very high form of vibration
and is incomprehensible to our Human mind.

Within
the center of your
Sacred Being,
is the uplifting Power
of God.

“The Kingdom of God
is within you.”
Luke 17:21

His Love
resides within
YOU.
His Love
can become you.

Lead with your Heart
always,
and you will know God.

Goodnight.

Significant Scientific Discoveries

The year 2017 catapulted us into a science-fiction future, from human cell regeneration for growing organs, to banishing genetic disease through breakthrough gene-editing techniques and recycling orbital rockets.  A lot has happened; scientific breakthroughs have made our lives safer, easier and more enjoyable. And the scientific community is only getting started.

Researchers and scientists around the globe have worked tirelessly to bring us this future, so it’s worthwhile to take a step back and applaud their tremendous efforts. The world of tomorrow is being shaped as you read this, so let’s have a look at ten of the biggest stories in science of this year, so far.

Scientists Have Finally Created Metallic Hydrogen

For the first time in the wold, scientists created metallic hydrogen by applying almost five million atmospheres of pressure to liquid hydrogen. That’s about five million times the pressure we experience at sea level, and 4,500 times that at the bottom of the ocean. It is the first time a state of hydrogen has existed in a metallic state on Earth. In its metallic state, hydrogen could act as a genuine superconductor and could revolutionize everything from energy storage to rocketry.

Scientists Discovered an Alien Planet That’s The Best Candidate for Life As We Know It

Scientists at the European Organization for Astronomical Research (ESO) found the best candidate for extraterrestrial life so far. The super-Earth named LHS 1140b was found in the habitable zone of a dim star 40 light-years away from Earth. It receives about half as much sunlight from its star, LHS 1140, as the Earth does from the Sun.

“This is the most exciting exoplanet I’ve seen in the past decade,” author Jason Dittmann of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics said in an ESO press release. “We could hardly hope for a better target to perform one of the biggest quests in science — searching for evidence of life beyond Earth.”

Eternal in its Treasure / Plants to Purify the Air at Home

“There are children in the morning.
They are leaning out for Love
And they will lean that way
Forever.”

– Neil Diamond

Have you seen
the fabulous Moon
dancing
upon the darkly lit waters
that ripple in time,
much like
the beat of your Heart
undulating on the surface of Life,
as it turns
page after page?

To watch in awe and wonder,
is to say
YES
to Life,
and suddenly
leave behind
the things
that kept your Heart
blind.

Precious Existence is before your eyes.

Harmonic dreams
emanate from many things,
as Life
becomes visible.
Life,
my Friends,
is waiting for your Dreams
to seep into
your veins,
until you suddenly realize
your precious Existence,
the magnificence of your splendor,
is suspended
before your eyes.

To watch in awe and wonder.

To be rescued
from yourself,
freed from within,
look carefully
at the Wonders
that surround you,
rid yourself
of sorrow and doubt,
say a Prayer
to God Above
and silently
shout,
Amen!

What is to be lived for.

To truly come
alive,
let some things
die,
like anger and regret.
They deserve
an ignominious death.

The shadow
of your smile
will shelter you
from the raging storms
of so much sorrow,
when yesterday
becomes tomorrow.
What is to be lived for
is not the illusion
of Life,
but the
Reality of Love.

“You cannot do a kindness
too soon,

for you never know
how soon it will be
too late.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Each joyful moment
captured by your Heart
is Eternal in its Treasure.
The brush strokes
of your words and deeds
can become
Heartfelt colors,
expressions of timeless Beauty,
tints and shades
of Loving awareness,
to spread the Universal
Love of God in
YOU.

                Eternal in its Treasure.

“Had I the Heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my Dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly
because you tread on my Dreams’.”
– W. B. Yeats

You are
My Dear Friend,
like so many other
Living Things,
a very fragile and precious
Gift from God.

Celebrate in gratitude
for all
the Blessings in Life.
As you see the unfolding Light,
you feel the Loving rhythm
of the Universe
creating ripples in the Human Heart
greater than
an ocean wave.
Let the Love of God
wash over
YOU.

                          Say YES to Life.

Hours further
can become lost in time,
no longer yours
or mine.

The Beautiful Song of your Life
can be sung
to never fail
to make you smile
and laugh and cry.
And the words
you carve
into the fabric of space,
can breathe Life
into everyone
and become your
Epitaph.
.
Goodnight.

requires you to know who you really are,
what you really want,
and in which direction you are headed.”

Plants that can purify the air in your home

By Chaffin Mitchell, AccuWeather staff writer

Harmful pollutants, which are not confined to outdoor spaces, can be found in homes and offices. However, plants can help to improve indoor air quality and clean the air that you and your family breathe.

As reported in a clean air study by NASA, plants can play a major role in removal of organic chemicals from indoor air.

Plants absorb particles from the air at the same time that they take in carbon dioxide, which is then processed into oxygen through photosynthesis.

Stephanie Huckestein, instructor of indoor plants at the Hahn Horticulture Garden of Virginia Tech, said plants remove pollutants from the air by absorbing gases through the pores on their leaves.

Many of the plants proven to clean the air
can be grown indoors, even with limited sunshine.
Huckestien said all plants need light to photosynthesize,
but many are tolerant of lower light levels.
Photosynthesis is the process through which plants
use sunlight to turn carbon dioxide and water
into food.

LIFE Can Be Immortal / Nine Foods You Should Never Eat Again / John Cogan Paintings Ready to View / Sept. 5 First Day of Semester

“To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
Man was made for Joy and Woe;
And when this we rightly know
Thro’ the World we safely go.”
– William Blake

Life,

ageless and immortal.

We stand
on the threshold
of a truly unbelievable
tomorrow.

The Human mind,
endowed with a wealth
of unlimited,
God given,
curiosity and creativity,
is now precipiced upon
a surreal landscape.

Today,
with the technology available,
biological immortality
is possible within
a few DECADES.
Life,
together with its progenitor,
Love,
can truly become immortal.

                                                 .
We are standing on the brink of
immortality.
Ray Kurzwell (The Age of
Spiritual Machines
)
and Terry Grossman, M.D.,
argue that if you can make it through
the next 50 years,
you might be able to live forever.
Citing recent discoveries in genomics, biotechnology, and nanotechnology,
they explain how these
rapid breakthroughs in knowledge
will translate into medical advances
that will ultimately prolong human life
indefinitely.

Now,
we need to imagine
if the span of our lives
were to expand
to 200 years,
or 1,000,
or 10,000 years,
or more,
more than you can dream of,
more than you may want,
more than you may be able
to endure.

Will we continue
marriage
until a death
that does not occur?
Can we enter
Heaven,
if we never depart this Life?
How will society,
if it exists,
change?

Oh, NO!

Will those that believe
in reincarnation
be disappointed?
There are philosophical implications
that we cannot even
imagine.

      A truly unbelievable tomorrow.

My Dear Friends,
do we possess
the depth of compassion
and understanding
needed to survive
such enabling technology?
We can’t seem
to get along with each other
with the relatively short
life span we now have.

Were you aware that
America Has Been At War
93% of the Time
– 222 Out of 239 Years –
Since 1776.
The United States
has only been at peace
for 21 years
since its birth.

Pick any year since 1776 and there is about a 91% chance that America was involved in some war during that calendar year.

It is interesting
that at the same time
we anticipate such longevity,
we are reaching
for the stars.
Our search for new
habitats
exactly meets
an unconscious anticipation
for the need.

We will need PLACES
to put many, many
REALLY old people.
And there are
TRILLIONS
of Galaxies
with Hundreds of Millions
of Stars.
The nursing homes
of the future
will have a different
appeal.

Thank God
there are conceivably
an infinite number of galaxies with stars and planets
to house an infinite number of people
living an infinite number of years.
Funny how the numbers
match up!

Stephen Hawking,
speaking at Oxford University,
said our best chance for survival as a species
is to leave the only home we’ve ever known
and establish colonies on other planets.

And the pace of space exploration is ramping up.
NASA is very busy in its search for
planets in the goldilocks zones –
not to near or far from their star –
planets that might be able
to sustain Human life.
And Space X CEO Elon Musk
has already laid out his plans to colonize Mars
within the next century.
Are we being
guided
by Sacred Forces,
a collective conscience,
unknown to our individual
conscious mind?
Is our search
of the Heavens
propelled by
an act of unawareness
called Love?

Tomorrow,
the deepest concerns
with achieving immortality
will not relate to
the given of technology.
Tomorrow
will cast deep and abiding
shadows
upon serious philosophical implications.

Will our utopian dreams
lead us to be abandoned
by a lack
of Love
for one another?

ONLY THEN, will there be Hope.

My Friends,
we must prepare
our children
for a future unimaginable.
If
what we are capable
of doing,
is not accompanied
by our capacity
to be compassionate
for one another,
dimensions of forever
simply will not matter.

But,
If we teach our children
to Love one another,
to indeed
Love their neighbors
as themselves,
then
AND ONLY THEN,
will there be
Hope.

With Life,
ageless and immortal,
we can forever experience
a growing depth
of Love and Joy.

Goodnight.

“And so here am I
Open arms and ready to stand,
I’ve got the world in my hands.
And it feels like my turn to fly.

Though I may not know the answers
I can finally say I am free.
And if the questions led me here
Then I am who I was born to be.”
– Audra Mae, grandniece of Judy Garland

Nine foods you should never eat again.

A few months back, a website called Trueactivist.com (a sort of news aggregator with an activist flavor) published a list of nine foods you should never eat again if you care at all about your long-term health. Each of the nine foods mentioned ranged from the somewhat surprising to the “I stopped eating that crap years ago” category. Here is what was on that list:

White Bread, Refined Flours
Conventional Frozen Meals
White Rice
Microwaveable Popcorn
Cured Meat Products with Nitrates
Most Conventional Protein Bars
Margarine
Soy Milk and Soy-Based Meat Substitutes
Diet Anything
(For example: Diet sodas and the chemically derived artificial sweeteners they contain (especially aspartame) may act as neurotoxins and have been linked to headaches, memory problems, anxiety, brain fog, depression, skin irritations, menstrual problems, fibromyalgia, joint pain and more.

Each of these listed above were accompanied by a paragraph explaining how toxic they are, or how nutritionally vacant they may be. But this got me thinking – only nine foods?Off the top of my head I could think of at least ten more, including Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino (along with just about anything that costs more than $2. But beyond such specifics, I wanted to add an additional eleven to make an even-numbered list of 20 forbidden foods. These were all selected on account that they are bad for your health and offer little in return. I skipped over items that were just poorly managed, unsustainable, or just plain bad for the environment (that could easily be another list of fifty or more). So here goes:

Conventionally Grown Berries (due to the abundance of pesticides used)
Deep Fried Foods (due to the fact that they are loaded with saturated fat)
Conventional Fruit-Flavored Yogurt (loaded with more sugar than many sodas)
Pop Tarts (loaded with fat and sugar)
Vitamin Water (also loaded with tons of sugar)
Mayonnaise (just too much fat)
Store-Bought Muffins (loaded with fat and sugar)
White Pasta (lacking any real nutrition)
Canned Tomatoes or Tomato Sauce (the acid of the tomatoes leaches BPA from the can)
Artificial Sweeteners (They can increase your appetite and create severely adverse health effects)
Conventionally Produced Meat (too many reasons to list)

And there is a lot more where that came from. What else can or would you add to this list? Is there anything you think has been unfairly demonized?

Treasure The Light / Terrible Chemicals Coming Back / Friday: Japanese Garden

Let us treasure
the Light,
and not give reality
to the shadow.

cloud-over-sun

           Treasure the Light.

We long for Love
and Light.

Dark the dreams
that lie behind
the broken door of a Heart
will think
will beat no more,
for those we failed
to Love,
or never Loved
before.

Yes,
the illusions of Life
cry little pity
without the Joy
of Love.

arms outstretched

You take farewell of the Glorious Sun that shines from within.

When sorrow
gathers all about you,
and you take farewell
of the Glorious Sun
that shines from within,
and from Above,
backlit by the past,
the atmosphere that clouds
this day,
is silhouetted like
a luminous halo.

But,
with fervent Prayer
and abiding Trust in God,
you can feel
a new tomorrow,
a beautiful new dawn
coming your way.

“Everybody’s talking at me
I don’t hear a word they’re saying,
only the echoes of my mind.
People stopping, staring,
I can’t see their faces,
only the shadows of their eyes.
I’m going
where the Sun keeps shining,

through the pouring rain.”
– Harry Nilsson

A constant shadow
lies across nevermore,
cast by what we dare not
dream today.
A mist
rolls across the eyes,
when Love’s obscured or dies.
But we can come to realize,
the unbelievable Beauty of our Life
cannot be denied.

With Prayer and Trust in God.

Flowers

They invite us
to grasp wild every blossom,
to give and share,
and tell evermore
of our Love
that blossomed like those
now in hand.

Today is my moment,

We are here to study

the capacity to Forgive,
the acceptance of Love.

My Dear Friends,
you can waste a lifetime
repressing the Truth
you envisioned as a Child.

the time He Lovingly
gives to you.

Please remember,
wherever you’re going,
My Friend,

He’s going your way.

Purity of youth
and the purity of the Spirit
were memorable expressions
of the precious time
when we were children.
But the deeper meaning,
is still undisclosed
to you and me.

In a blinding moment of clarity.

As a fragile
and deeply Loved Human Being,
we can come to realize
the magnitude of what it means to be
a child again,
a Child of God.

This feeling is profound
and defies definition.
And it is expressed only
by the Human Heart.

Yes,
in a blinding moment of clarity,
you can come to truly see
what it means
to be deeply Loved,
like a Child again.

Eric Rignot / NASA

At least we’ve learned from the past. CFCs, DDTs, POPs, and other terrifying chemical acronyms have been banned for decades. The planet barely survived their usage, but we did it! It’s over! The end!

Actually, it’s more like “The End?”
And now we’re set up for the hard-hitting sequel.

You know what’s great at storing harmful chemicals? Polar ice. That was all well and good by society for a time. (Eat it, Nanook. Move to the city and get a real job!) But now, global warming is melting that ice and releasing all those chemicals at once …

NASA/Goddard Scientific Visualization Studio
… It’s like society’s literal karma, coming back to punish us for past sins.

Most worrying are the persistent organic pollutants – organic chemicals we stuffed into just about everything until we found out they give cancer to anything they touch. They’ve been showing up in plants and animals again lately, trickling out of melting glaciers and into the natural environment.

Ross Land/Getty Images
So if you see this sign or any others like it,
listen.

Then there’s DDT, an insecticide that was banned in the ’70s due to its poisonous effect on birds. And though we haven’t used it in decades, it’s showing up again in Antarctic penguins, thanks to the retreating ice caps. That’s right, penguins. The butlers of the snow.

Good God,
what have we done?

“In such ugly times,
the only true protest
is Beauty.”

– Lucia Perry

A Deepening Sea, Widening Sky / List of Human Carcinogens (Knowledge for Life)

“Parents often talk about
the younger generation
as if they
didn’t have anything
to do with it.”

Dr. Haim Ginott

We stand on the edge of a deepening sea, widening sky.

Deep and abiding reflection
can become the beginning
of a conversation
with someone
you may have never met,
someone
you thought
you really knew,
a person
you did not know
was you.

My Dear Friends,
we stand on the very edge
of a deepening sea, widening sky,
as our precious Hearts whisper,
longing to send
an Infinite message of Life and Love,
to paint a Rainbow
without any end.

poles of earth

The boundary between
what is real
and what we dream,
what we can imagine,
is more porous
than it may seem.

The science fiction,
the fantasy
of what WE now can create,
will ask no less of us
than to suspend Belief
in ourselves and in each other,
in the future of Life
condemned to be brief.

“Somewhat ironically, science,
having set out to know
the ultimate nature of reality,

is discovering that,
not only is this world

beyond any direct experience,
it may also be inherently
unknowable.”

– Peter Russell

-01-a-web

All probabilities may ALL exist at once.

Strange discoveries,
fantastical worlds of imagination,
will force the question
of basic Beliefs
about Life,
about Love,
about our Blessings
from Above.

Scientists at NASA have substantiated thatsmall_web
matter can indeed be in two places at once.
Quantum entanglement enables
particles millions of light-years apart
to be connected without physical contact.
Space-time can now be controlled;
teleportation is becoming a reality;
and virtual science has led us
closer to realizing
hyper-dimensional existence.
If you think
these are God like qualities,
you are right.
And they are being contemplated
by Children of God.

a-webBut,
no matter how far apart we are,
Hearts have always known
they are connected
in a very real way.

“I’d bring out my guitar
and a lot of those things
that made you feel apart
or distant,
disappeared.”
– John Denver

“You call all the stars by their names, O Lord, and yet you care for me.”                     – Betty H. Butler

But, the implausible,
the improbable,
the unbelievable,
can bring Life
to an end.

What once was purely
Philosophical,
lurks darkly in a new book
of Revelations,
of quantum research.

All probabilities
may ALL exist
at once,
buried in the same reality,
until measured or observed.
Mathematicians can prove it.
But,
My Dear Friends,
so can our
Love,
which can become truly
immeasurable,
like the Love
of God.

Out of nowhere
I heard a voice saying,
“Because I Love you”.
Lene Jeanette Taralrud

Like clouds
flying across the sky,
shadows of insight and awareness
can shade the reality
in your eyes.
What the mind of man
can imagine,
he can now make.
But what is
the Human cost?
What will it
take?

rainbow

    A Rainbow without any end.

We possess the art of engineering
the science of quantum change
and of physical reality itself,
to make the unreal
as real,
to bring Life
to the very edge
of never asking why,
to the bottom
of an infinitely deep sea,
or an ever widening
Sky.
It is up to you
and I,
and the question
we need to ask:

Why?

pattern

The mind of man
can climb any mountain
of Everestian heights,
cross any ocean
of uncharted depths,
redefine what we see,
what may
or may not be,
which is you
and me.

While triumphant we may feel,
believing in something implausible,
something unreal made real,
we may cause blades of grass
to encircle virtually unreal
pure white stones,
grass ever green
that grows beneath
names never made known.
And no one will ever knell
at the foot
of these graves
to extol the virtues
of those extant,
who belied Belief
in proclamations of proclivities
to do what became wrong,
diverse and strong,
simply because we could.
No one will shout
from any mountain top
“Once we
were here,
and now
we are ALL
gone.”

Brix

       We miss you Brix.

Down the mountain side
we will fall
into a valley hushed
and white with snow.
No one will be here
in sunshine to tell
of our journey upward,
with sweeter songs
that accompanied us.
For what was unknown
became real,
and what then was real
became, with us,
unknown:
a potential existence
that stilled every voice
that sang every song.

“But of the tree of the knowledge
of good and EVIL,
thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof,
thou shalt surely
die.”

– Genesis 2:17

Life
without the deep and abiding
reflection of Love,
simply
cannot exist,
cannot prevail.

kawalows

The deep and abiding reflection of Love.

Unknowing
becomes known
because you exist.
But you are here
because of the
Love
that also existed.

Time is not
a natural feature
of our universe.
It is a concept
invented by us,
we so human in being.

There is no past behind us,
or physical future waiting
in the wings.

Nature
does not defend
the right to cry.
But cry we do
late into our night.
For the reality
of being
resides within each
Heart.
And so it was,
and always has
been.

Cherish the mind
that has a Heart.

Goodnight.

“Little Fly,
Thy summer’s play
My thoughtless hand
Has brushed away.
Am I not like thee?
Or art not thou A man like Me?
For I dance and drink and sing,
Till some blind hand
Shall brush my wing.”
– William Blake

light 2

The very edge of never asking why.

My Precious Friends,
I wish to share with you
an unbelievably LENGTHY list of
KNOWN and POSSIBLE
things that cause CANCER.
Please take the time to study this list!
We are at war with ourselves.
Yes,
the enemy is us.
Our lifestyle and
our society
and corporate greed
have caused this
horrendous condition.

We can look down
on the pathetic depths
to which corporate America
has led us in order to
make money.

But enough
is enough.

Millions of our Loved ones,
neighbors,
and fellow citizens
have perished in misery.

Please ARM yourself
with the knowledge
you and your precious children
NEED to survive.

Compare these two lists
with the labels on the products
you wear, drive with, eat,
sleep and sit on, breathe, live and work with,
allow into your home, on your yard or
in your car –
anywhere in your presence.

When you find items made with
these horrible products
THROW  THEM  AWAY!

There is NO need to die a
miserable and painful death.

To avoid a future far worse
than you can imagine,
get smart, get educated, get busy, get involved and
read ALL the labels.
You have the strength and wisdom
to get rid of the garbage
polluting your life
and the very precious
life of your child.

With every moment you take
to read every line below
you are saying:
I LOVE YOU.

You cannot Love someone more
than when you save that person’s
Life.

From Danica Collins with the Underground Health Reporter:  read more
The 17th Century Ushered in Cancer. It wasn’t until the 17th century that the first reports of cancer appeared in scientific literature – such as cancer of the scrotum (found in chimney sweeps in 1775, caused by soot particles); and nasal cancer found in users of snuff (finely ground tobacco) in 1761.

The University of Manchester study indicates that cancer-causing factors exist only in modern, industrialized societies—and cancer is fueled by the excesses of modern life.

The food you eat … the air you breathe … the clothes you wear … the water you drink … the personal care products you use … the medications you take … the water you bathe in … virtually everything you consume, and everything you do – or are exposed to – causes cancer these days!
Here are Just a Few Factors Present in  Modern Life That Cause Cancer:

Tobacco (including second-hand and third-hand smoke)
Genetically modified food
Most laundry detergents
Commercial hair dyes
Air pollution (including carbon monoxide, methylene
chloride, and acrolein)
Granite countertops (which emit radon)
Rancid peanuts and seeds
Canola oil
Canned tomatoes
Food laced with pesticides
Chemicals from aerosol cans
Mammograms
X-Rays
Food microwaved in plastic containers (including
plastic wrap, the plastic trays that come with frozen
TV dinners, and even plastic baby bottles)
Environmental pollutants (such as asbestos, benzene, and
formaldehyde)

Professor Rosalie David, at the Faculty of Life Sciences, said:
“There is Nothing in the Natural Environment That Can Cause Cancer … So It Has to Be a Man-Made Disease.”

National Toxicology Program (NTP) is formed from parts of several different US government agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The NTP updates its Report on Carcinogens (RoC) every few years.

The Report on Carcinogens identifies 2 groups of agents:

  1. Known to be human carcinogens”
    2. “Reasonably anticipated to be human carcinogens”
The current version of the RoC lists about 240 substances and exposures:Known human carcinogens

The Beauty Of God’s Recreation / TWO Cans of Sugary Drinks a Day = heart attack, diabetes and stroke / Trip: Half Price Books and Movie – The Martian

rose-flower

God in His Wisdom Provides.

We struggle
To rebuild ourselves each day,
Some days, minute by minute.
And there are years
Of not knowing,

Of not feeling,
That so very many hearts
Like yours and mine,
Have been broken
By what someone has done,

And can’t undo.

flower

   Hold out your arms.

My Dear Friends,
Never feel that you are
Alone.
Given time,
Everyone suffers.
Look around,
And you will know.
But, we need to know
More
To survive and thrive.
And a good place to start
Is to recognize that

“Your joy
is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well
from which your laughter rises
was oftentimes filled
with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow
carves into your being,

the more joy you can contain.”
– Kahlil Gibran

To empty the vessel
Of your precious being
Of all the suffering and pain,
To prepare your Life
To begin again,
Forgive
Those who transgress
Against you.

Forgiveness
Furrows deep into
The Landscape of Being,
To bury what needs
Never to be thought of
Again,
Leading to remarkable discover,
That we are standing alone,
No longer holding those who
Who harmed us by the hand.

For we drop the hand
Of the one we hold
In mindful madness,
Til’ its meaning has lost
All pretense of being.

flowers 2

Formed by God into the Flower Of Your Precious Being.

To forgive
Finds us no longer
In the wake of
Dark and deepening shadows
Drifting across the landscape
Of precious Life.
It lifts the veil of awareness,
Like nothing ever happened.
Nothing.

Those who inflict pain,
As Jesus said,
“Do not know
What they do.”

They have not been Blessed
To understand
What it feels like

To find the Comfort,
The Kindness,

The Deep and Abiding Compassion
Found in Hearts
Touched by the Grace of God.

lisianthus-flowers

Embrace the Life He gives.  It is His Love.

We can never find healing
Looking back.
Today
Is the doorway
To tomorrow,
And tomorrow is yesterday
Lived over and over again,
Or transformed
Into today’s Dream
Forever.

The building blocks,
To restore what God
Has made in you

Are all around.
They come in many Blessed shapes,
And very many forms.
They are what you may least expect,
And more beautiful and durable
Than what we have found
In Life.

God in His Wisdom
Provides.
He always has,
Always will.
But often we fail to look
Through the lens
Of our hearts.

The mortar He will use
To cement the pieces
Of us that are left,

“Is the Peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
and will guard
your hearts and your minds”.

(Philippians 4:7)

sunset over water

. . . like a beautiful sunrise that stays in our Hearts

The building blocks
He gives
Are shaped like smiles,
Song,
Prayer,
Flowers,

Like a beautiful sunrise
That stays in our Hearts
All day long.

sunset with tree

The building blocks are all around.

Like embraces
Warm and long,
And painted with laughter,
To last far longer
Perhaps, ever after.

From such moments
On cloudy days,

 We can find tears
Of Joy
Pouring down
Like the falling rain.

And the Capstone
Of the all the beauty,
Of the Likeness
Of our Hearts Renewed,
Is a Kiss,
Shaped by God
Into the Flower
Of Your Precious Being.

sunset

Restore what God has made in you.

Hold out your arms,
Embrace the Life
He gives.
It is His Love,
Formed
Into the Beauty
Of God’s Recreation
Of a new day,

A new You.

“Mine is the Sunlight,
Mine is the Morning,
Sweet the rain’s new fall
Sunlit from Heaven.
Like the first dew fall
On the first grass,
Like God’s recreation
Of the new day,”
– by Eleanor Farjeon

Touch another Heart
With warmth,
Lift someone’s Spirit from the soil
In which they are found,

From the depths of deep despair.
The hand you extend
To help another,
Is,
In Truth,
R
eaching for You.

Love is a beautiful Flower,
And you
Its only Seed.

The building blocks are shaped like Flowers.

What you receive,
Is what you give.
And what you give
Can be beyond Belief,
And discovered
Only if you Believe.

The Immeasurable
LOVE of God
Is Infinite and Beautiful,
And far, far
Beyond our comprehension.

And so is your Love,
And so are You!

Love is a beautiful Flower, and you its only Seed.

“Is the essence of life
defined by what we leave behind,
or what we are
and what we do?”

Just TWO cans
of sugary fizzy drinks a day
significantly increases the risk
heart attack,
diabetes and stroke.
Harvard University marks
the most comprehensive study
on sugary drinks to date:

Found 1 or 2 servings a day
linked to 26% greater risk of type 2 diabetes

35% greater risk of heart attack or heart disease
and 16% risk of stroke

Experts have called for urgent action
to reduce consumption of the drinks

My friends,
please keep pouring those
TOXIC soft drinks
down the drain.
Love your children enough
and BE STRONG enough
to let them live
long and happy lives.
There are healthy alternatives:
Fruit juices,
Unsweetened Tea,
Coffee (both have 60 antioxidants),
or how about
good old fashioned
WATER.
Now, I drink to that!

Sugar
is the favorite food
of CANCER!!!

Folks,
Your tears can easily
water the flowers
you place upon the
grave
of your precious child.

Come on!
Wake up!

LOVE = Strength
