This Beautiful Gift of Life / Tomorrow for Home / Sept. 3 (Tuesday) is the First Day of Fall Semester

“Thank you”
men and women of God,
especially our
Pastors, Priests, Reverends, Rabbis and Ministers,
such as the much admired Rev. Donald Graves.
His precious Life
is Healing so many people in Tucson.
His Science of Mind community
brings Light to darkness.

The men and women of God
have given their Lives
to spread the Precious Word of Salvation.
We salute the courage, humility, Love and dedication
of these men and women
who keep alive
Hope.

You have
our sincere appreciation
and Love.

Thank you.

To grasp the full significance
of the wondrous Gift of Life,
is to add value
to it.
For this Beautiful Gift
of Life,
is the Gift
of Love.

And although it is
difficult to comprehend
what Love is,
we know it
when we feel
nothing else.
Love
happens anywhere,
at any time,
and
when we least
expect it.

Where there is Love,
there is
Life.

My Dear Friends,
we have reasons
to be here.
One,
is to learn
who we really are,
and to grow
Spiritually
from knowing.

Another,
is to evolve
toward the understanding
that we are all
one.

God
has given us
the Gift of
each other.
And our Life
at its best,
is a daily unwrapping
of His Present
to each of us.

“The water is wide,
I can’t cross over.

And neither have I
wings to fly.

Give me a boat,
that can carry two.

And boat shall row,
my Love and I.”
James Taylor, D. Grolnick

………    The Gift of each other.

Our Children
quicken to Life
for so short
a Time.
And,
if we are open
and accepting
to all that Life
with them
has to offer,
our Youth
is renewed.

When
we are in Love
with Life,
we are open
to all
it has to offer,
with acceptance
and excitement
and a passion
for Living.

                    A passion for Living.

If you
want to know
the secret
to a happy Life,
watch your Children
at play.
And then,
play with them.
They know
far, far more
about Life
and Living
than we will ever
know.
They will give you
a reason to Live
and a reason to Live happily,
IF
you let them.

What we do
has little real value.
And we
are not even
aware.

What
are you Living for?
Yourself?
And how miserable
has that made you?

Our Journey of Life
can have
a much, much more
fulfilling purpose.

Life
can be simple,
happy
and filled with
Love –
Love so right,
you forget
you are Home.

The Precious Gift
of Life,
is a Gift,
a Gift of
Love.
.

Open it.

Goodnight.

…………………….Open it.

Tomorrow for Home

Our children are born of America’s Freedom.
They are the birthright of Liberty’s Hope.
Our family harbors the fleet of our Nation,
With ships set to sail for Destiny’s Home.

As we hoist sail on the mast of our Dreaming,
And steer our course toward keeping us free,
With no oar in the water or sail bent skyward,
Shall we cross over the deepening sea?

Can we stay the course of our country’s freedom,
If we cannot keep our sight on the shore?
The sea of Tomorrow will billow and swallow
The Nations of people who can do no more.

Without the Vision to cherish our children
Having no courage their cause to put forth,
The Captain won’t sail the ship of our Nation;
He shall never steer us to destiny’s port.

With sails unfurled for the Winds our yearning,
With no greater Love than we show our own,
The Captain won’t cut the ship from her mooring;
He shall never sail her Tomorrow for Home.

The River is WIDE / Common Sense Solutions To Beat Depression / Friday Trip: Museum of Science & History and Omni Theater

“There’s a new World somewhere
They call the Promised Land.
And I’ll be there someday
If
you will hold my hand.”

Tom Springfield

              A new world somewhere.

Stargazers,
are the very
few,

those walking hand in hand.
But they are the ones
who come to understand,
just how wide
the River of Life
truly is,
that the Water of Life
is Love.

This precious River
can overflow

the banks of time
and nourish Life,
as the tide
subsides.

And the Beautiful Melody
of its flow,
can open your Heart
and touch your very
Soul.

If you will hold my hand.

“The river is wide.
I cannot see.

Nor do I have light wings to fly.
There’ll be a boat that can carry TWO,
and both shall row,
my Love and I.”
James Taylor

Only
someone who Loves

discovers real Freedom,
and knows
it is born only in the eyes

of another.
When
you liberate feelings
of Compassion and Love
in the precious Life
of someone near you,
your Sight
no longer turns inside yourself,
to see only the lonely,
and how empty
Life can be.

                      To see only the lonely.

My Friends,
our road leads
to nowhere,
or
we glimpse

Eternity.

One path
lies through the closed
and very narrow
vexations of the mind,
the other,
through a Loving
Heart,
an open door.

What a Beautiful Journey
Life
can be,
when we take it
together,
hand in hand.

Yes,
you can live
in night forever,
never even knowing
you do not
see.

“A Life
without Love
is worse than
death.”
Padre Pio

.
How soon Life

flies,
and all is
gone,
as the Seasons drift by
one by one,

and Life
is quickly done.
But the Human Heart,
YOUR Heart,

is always
young.

If you build
your World
around someone
other,
YOU
come to discover
that you truly
exist.
YOU
finally know
the meaning of
Life.

Love
must be shared,
or it and you,
simply

do not exist.

Goodnight.

“Holding your hand
And standing by to catch you
when you fall,

Seeing you through
In everything you do.

Let me be there in your Morning.
Let me be there in your night.
Let me change whatever is wrong,
and make it right.

Let me take you through
that Wonderland

that only
TWO can share.

All I ask you
is let me be there.”

John Rostill

Low-cost, common sense solutions
to beat depression at its own game.
by

 1. Get a General Health Check
“A true diagnosis is half the cure”
– wise saying.

In some cases, depressive symptoms can be caused by an illness, vitamin defenciency, drug side effect or withdrawal. Common medical causes include underactive thyroid, heart disease, cancer, certain blood pressure medications and even birth control pills.

By getting to the root cause of your depression, you can figure out the best way to treat it and beat it.

Common Sense Tip: Get a general medical checkup and if you are taking any prescription drugs, investigate if depression is a possible side affect.

 2. Eating Right
“Let food be thy medicine
and medicine be thy food”
Hippocrates

Let us not underestimate the power of food to affect mood. Medical studies have linked vitamin deficiencies, such as in Vitamin D and B12, to depression. And that’s just for starters.

Many sufferers of bio-chemical/biological depression may find they also suffer from sugar sensitivities or allergies. In that case, diet can play a vital role in beating depression.

Common Sense Tip: Take notice of how you feel after eating certain foods. Keep a food diary.

 3. Getting Enough Sleep
“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man
healthy wealthy and wise.”
– Benjamin Franklin

A successful psychologist once said that post-partum depression may in fact be another label for sleep deprivation. While it may not be that simple, sleep and depression are closely related.

Lack of sleep has been shown to precipitate psychotic episodes, for example. But does lack of sleep cause depression or does depression cause the inability to sleep? Whatever it is, by getting more sleep, you can start making inroads to improvement.

Common Sense Tip: Go to bed early. If you suffer from insomnia, explore gentle methods of promoting rest like meditation, yoga and massage.

 4. Get your Blood Pumping
Exercise, exercise, exercise.

It took me 3 years after having my youngest child and suffering a bad spout of post-partum depression to make an exercise move. That was the most liberating step I took in all those 3 years, literally. And I saw the results immediately.

Exercise gets your heart rate up, serotonin kicking in and blood sugar cravings, which cause mood swings, down. Oh and I recommend doing it in fresh air with some deep breathing. There’s nothing like nature and some life-energy pulsating through your veins.

Common Sense Tip: Put on your jogging shoes right now and take a walk or run outside. Make a realistic exercise schedule that you can keep up weekly.

 5. The Right Support
“I get by with a little help from my friends
The Beatles

Because depression sufferers tend to socially withdraw or hide their true feelings, it can be a bit of a catch twenty two.

Finding the right person to talk to about how you’re really feeling is a great start to fighting those blue feelings. Whether it’s a trusted friend, psychologist or life-coach – a little step in the right direction can do wonders. Getting out the house, when you’re about to sink into another lazy, self affair episode, is another way to beat depression at its own game.

Common Sense Tip: Even if you don’t feel like it, go out and socialize with your friends on the weekend.

Open your Heart and touch your very Soul.

The Light You Shine / Creating a Sleeping Sanctuary / Atex Trash Service / Friday: Fort Worth Zoo

my-first-rose

You are proof that God exists.

The light and the dark
of our brief time on Earth,
reflect the nature of existence.
One we cannot have,
or even recognize,
without the other.

Wisdom
emanates from knowing
the Blessings of both
find us
within their embrace.

Opposites
are unified by truly
recognizing the Gifts
contained in both.
We come to appreciate
the protection and comfort
of darkness,
the safety and security
of Life –
starting in the womb,
continuing with the Peace
of restful sleep,
and ending
in the Warm Embrace
of God,
as we pass
through the darkness
and enter
into the Eternal Light
of His Love.

My Dear Friends,
our Blessings on Earth
are seldom recognized,
often never viewed.

helen-keller-c

When others
find themselves surrounded
by darkness,
know in your Heart,
you are the message of God,
YOU
are His Light.

“God is Light,
and it is His plan
that believers shine forth
His Light.”
– 1 John 1:5

Your Life
has purpose,
a much deeper meaning
than can prevail
in the understanding
of a mortal
Human being.

For the Light
of God’s Love
comes through
YOU.

sun-streak

The Light also falls upon YOU.

We have nothing to fear,
if only we will look
into the precious lives
of each other
and discover the Sacred Light
they contain.
The Light born of
Eternal Love.

My Friends,
we
are gifted
of each other.

Every hardship,
every day in darkness,
every loss of courage and hope,
every movement
to the depths of despair,
can be a Blessing
for YOU
to become aware,
to become a friend,
to give what you can,
to share.

taylor-b“When you’re down and troubled
And you need some love and care
And nothing,
nothing is going right,

Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night.

If the sky above you
Grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind begins to blow
Keep your head together
And call my name out loud
Soon you’ll hear me knocking at your door.”
James Taylor

Sometimes,
in the absence
of Love,
we know Love
best.
We come to see
what should be,
but does not
exist.

girl-and-sunset-b

               YOU are His Light.

“Everything I have is yours.
I would gladly give the sun to you,
If the sun were only mine.
I would gladly give the Earth to you,
And the stars that shine.”
Harold Adamson & Burton Lane

YOU
are the greatest Blessing
that God can give
in the precious Life
of someone in need.
You
are proof
that God
exists.

Let the Love of God
flow through you.
Then
YOU will feel
His Love.
You will come to know
that you
are His Child.

The Light
you shine upon others,
also falls
upon YOU.

“Give,
and it shall be given unto YOU;
good measure, pressed down, and shaken together,
and running over,
shall men give into YOUR bosom.
For with the same measure
that ye mete withal
it shall be measured
to YOU

again.”
Luke 6:38

Darkness
will reign
no more
in the Life of
another.
And your Life
will shine
forever more.

And Love –
Love will become
YOU.

Goodnight.

5 easy Steps to Creating a Sleeping Sanctuary:
from our friends at:
The International Institute for Building-Biology and Ecology

Subscribe to their free newsletter.

In the typical sleeping area, electrical exposure from external sources (live electrical wiring in ceilings, walls and floors) is thousands of times stronger than the body’s own electrical system. Long-term exposure to these high level electric fields can impair the body’s ability to communicate within itself and impact health. The average person spends approximately 1/3 of their life sleeping. Doesn’t it make sense to reduce exposure to electric fields in our sleeping areas?

Some people develop symptoms when they experience long-term exposure, especially at night, to elevated levels of electricity, such as: headaches, hyperactivity, nightmares, depression, fatigue, eyestrain, and muscle cramps.

Use battery-powered clocks near the bed: Research has shown exposure to high magnetic fields while sleeping can cause severe long-term illness.  Many electric clocks produce high magnetic fields.

Turn off bedroom-affecting circuits: A restful sleep is necessary for health and a strong immune system.  Electric fields affect you bio-communications, keeping you from sleeping soundly.

Eliminate, minimize, or shield from RF: Radio frequency (RF) signals from portable phones, cell phones, and wireless devices have been shown to interfere with the body’s immune system. (Friends, let’s keep these devices in a place other than the bedroom. Try placing them in a room you simply are not in for any appreciable amount of time.)

Use beds without metal: Metal frames and metal box springs can amplify and distort the earth’s natural magnetic field, which can lead to a non-restful sleep. Use natural materials.

Make sure there are no elevated magnetic fields: Magnetic fields from appliances and building wiring can penetrate walls into a bedroom and disrupt the body’s communication system.

For a more thorough understanding of issues and practices related to creating sleeping sanctuaries in your home, you are encouraged to view their free videos: Nursery Air Quality and Your Baby’s Nursery by clicking here.

The information and solutions contained therein apply crucially to newborns and children, whose skulls are thinner and immune systems are not yet fully developed, as well as to adults.
