Dedicated
with Love
and Admiration
to my wonderful Friend,
and the best Friend to everyone he met:
Bob Puryear
Thank You Bob.
I know of no one
I admire more
than this Beautiful Soul.
You are truly admired.
You Life is the Language of God’s Love.
Everyone
appreciates the Beautiful Life and Love
you have dedicated
to the precious Children
of this Earth.
We Love You.
Throughout our Journeys
of Life
and Love,
we wonder
as we wander,
how far
do we travel
to change the Life
we have lived?
May our errors
be quivered
like arrows?
Yes.
With thoughts and deeds,
and words we weave
of nothing
but Love.
My Dear Friends,
our heavy heartaches
and pain,
may now be
blended into
precious cargo.
Our moments of
remembrance
can be molded and shaped
into what it already is,
and what
it was always
meant to be.
We
Children
of an Almighty God,
were created by Love,
to Love.
“Whoever does not Love does not know God, because
God is Love.”
– 1 John 4:8
There is nothing
to fear,
when your Heart
is near,
to Loving thoughts
and deeds
and dreams. .
The Human Heart
is a vast and deep
Ocean
of wants and desires
and dreams of needs.
But all
your Heart truly wants
is the Love
that is you.
It is,
as it was to be,
in Love
with Life.
If
you are hoping
wounds heal,
but they do not,
perhaps
it is because
you are at war
with Love.
And that
is a war
that will never
be won.
The web we weave
of traveled threads
can rend apart. But,
Hope is Home
to the Heart
set free, by Love.
Always,
look to Love
as you voyage
and dream.
Give your Love
wings,
and Love will be
as it was meant
to be,
and fly you Home.
When Hearts speak
louder than words,
Life drifts into
the Dreams we Love,
and Life
becomes our
Dreams.
.Once upon a Time
we closed
our tired eyes,
and met
our very best friends,
the ones
who opened the door
and let you in,
into their Hearts
and into their Lives. .
The ones,
like Mom and Dad,
who kissed you
when you were very young,
on top of your head,
who said without words
spoken or read,
that Love
Is what we are,
why we are alive,
and the only thing
that should ever be
said.
Keep your eyes on the Sky above.
Under God’s Heavens above
we journey so very far
on the roads of Life.
Keep your eyes
on the Sky above.
Let Love rise,
like the Morning Sun,
and never
let Love depart.
“As I journey through the land, singing as I go, Pointing Souls to Calvary – to the crimson flow, Many arrows pierce my Soul from without, within; But my Lord leads me on, through Him I must win.
Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His Face, There to sing forever of His Saving Grace; On the streets of Glory let me lift my voice, Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.
When in service for my Lord
dark may be the night, But I’ll cling more close to Him, He will give me Light; Satan’s snares may vex my Soul,
turn my thoughts aside; But my Lord goes ahead,
leads whate’er betide.”
“If Life’s essence is securely hidden, it may be for a good reason: should man uncover many more of its secrets while he is still Spiritually so immature, it seems he could do himself and his World seriousharm.” – Guy Murchie The Seven Mysteries of Life An Exploration of Science and Philosophy
There are many stories.
Some
are never read.
Others never written,
and can never be read.
A precious few are created
as your Children
are tucked in bed,
as you kiss them
Goodnight,
on the top
of their head.
And their stories are written
in dreams they have,
where they lay
their little head.
Hearts speak louder than words.
My Dear Friends,
the Nobility
of the Spirit
resides within.
“And you shall Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, with all your Soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” – Mark 12:30
We each are clothed
in reflections
all around.
And what we mirror,
tells a story
not our own.
But it is there,
it is to be,
and it remains
for all to see, Eternally.
And what appears
speaks so loudly,
no one can hear
what voices say,
for this language
is beyond the horizon
of who we are,
what we see,
what we can even imagine
shall ever be.
Who kissed you on top of your head.
It is the Language
of God’s Love
for you
and for me.
And it lives
in the
Dreams we Love,
in reflections all around,
in the mirror
of our Lives,
in a story
that becomes
our own.
Open your Heart
and open your fragile mind.
Accept the Love of God.
Let your Life be A Love Story.
In an era of aggressive marketing toward kids and parents alike, many parents wonder what kids actually need. Turns out, there’s a pretty clear answer.
“Years of research in child development have identified eight essential requirements for kids to become happy, successful adults,” says Harley Rotbart, MD, a nationally-renowned parenting expert and vice chair emeritus of Pediatrics at Children’s Colorado. “And none of them involve high-tech gadgets, video games or fancy clothes.”
The eight things kids need to thrive
Security
Kids must feel safe and sound, with their basic survival needs met: shelter, food, clothing, medical care and protection from harm.
Stability
Stability comes from family and community. Ideally, a family remains together in a stable household, but when that’s not possible, it’s important to disrupt the child’s life as little as possible. Kids and families should be a part of larger units to give them a sense of belonging, tradition and cultural continuity.
Consistency
No “good cop, bad cop.” Parents should synchronize their parenting and make sure important values stay consistent.
Emotional support
Parents’ words and actions should encourage kids’ trust, respect, self-esteem and, ultimately, independence.
Love
Saying and showing you love your kids can overcome almost any parenting “mistakes” you might make. Even when your kids have disobeyed, angered, frustrated and rebelled against you, show them you love them and that you’ll always love them.
Education
Make sure your kids get the best possible education for their future. This includes school, of course, but it also includes the invaluable life lessons you provide during the time you spend together.
Positive role models
Parents are their kids’ first and most important role models. Instill your values and teach children empathy by being the kind of person you want them to become.
Structure
Rules, boundaries, and limits: Without them, kids are forced to be adults before they are ready, and they lose respect for you and other adults.
The “miracle solution”: kids need time
Perhaps the most important factor of all is time. Without enough time to spend with kids and be a parent, “You miss out on the wonderful privileges of parenting,” Dr. Rotbart says. “And kids miss out on some of their needs.”
The converse is also true.
“Time is the miracle solution for most dilemmas of parenthood,” says Dr. Rotbart. “Taken in minutes or hours, the time you spend with your kids gives you the opportunity to provide your kids all their essential needs — and much more.”

What To Tell Your Kids About Alcohol? How about the TRUTH! .
Mom and Dad, NO ONE will take the time
or have the knowledge
to tell YOUR child
about the excrement
we call
ALCOHOL.
NO ONE.
Except YOU !
.
What Exactly Is Alcohol?
Most people simply do not know
and our children really have noidea.
My friends, this is information that we need to protect our very precious children from a horrible existence and early death. The life of an alcoholic is all too typically a very lonely, deeply depressing, utterly miserable, poverty stricken struggle for mere existence and with little or no hope for the future and NO Joy in Life.
My prayer for you is to share this information with your children.
About 2 billion (with a BIG B) people across the World consume alcoholic drinks. Hey, there are only 7 billion of us on this Earth. Alcohol is the most widely used drug in the United States. Unlike most other drugs, alcohol carries the potential to damage many organs of the body; including the Heart, brain, liver, and digestive system. It also BREAKS the Heart when you lower your Loved One into an early grave. .
Yes,
AND when you think about it,
alcohol damages other organs outside of your body,
in the bodies of others who Love you,
in an organ called theirHeart.
Come on! . WAKE UP!
The use of alcohol results in the death
of OVER two and one half million peopleeach year
and causes serious illness and injury to many millions more.
Most deaths caused by alcohol results from injuries, CANCER, cardiovascular diseases and liver cirrhosis.
Alcohol is also associated with infectious diseases like AIDS, tuberculosis and sexually transmitted disease. This is because alcohol consumption weakens the immune system, reduces inhibitions, and distorts judgment. . REALLY?
Of 19 major health concerns, alcohol is ranked #3, and is greater than unsafe water, high blood pressure, tobacco, obesity and illicit drugs (ranked #18). Source: Global Health Risks.
“Too much drinking increases your chances of being injured or even killed. Alcohol is a factor, for example, in about 60 percent of fatal burn injuries, drownings and homicides; 50 percent of severe trauma injuries and sexual assaults; and 40 percent of fatal motor vehicle crashes, suicides and fatal falls.”
– Rosalind Breslow, epidemiologist at the U.S. National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome,
is the third leading cause of birth defects
with accompanying mental retardation.
These poor children
didn’t even get to take a drink. But MOM did,
without thinking about them.
And NOW . . . . . . .
they can live their lives
without
ANY real potential
of truly being alive.
(THANKS Mom!
Uh, I may think that is Mom,
but
I am not REALLY capable
of thinking like I should.
She took the bat
out of my hands,
and told me
to play ball,
you know,
in the game
of Life!)
Yes,
the TRUTH hurts.
But,
it the ONLY thing
that sets us
FREE. .
And
alcohol is involved in half
of all fatal automobile accidents.
We cannot even imagine the loss of potential.
Research has shown that prolonged periods of drinking produces specific brain damage which causes blackouts, disorientation, and loss of memory.
Studies suggest a connection between alcohol
and stressors contributing to Heart disease. Click here for more.
The World Health Organization released
The Global Strategy to Reduce the Harmful Use of Alcohol,
endorsed by Member States. Click here for more.
It promotes proven effective measures
for reducing alcohol-related harm including: .
• taxation on alcohol;
• reducing availability through allowing fewer outlets to sell alcohol,
• raising age limits for those buying (I personally recommend the age limit of 101. By that time, you probably will not be able to hold the bottle and your body will be prone to react normally and you will throw up and throw the bottle at the idiot that gave it to you. With any luck you will hit that person and knock some sense into him or her.)
• regulating or banning marketing of alcoholic beverages and
• conducting information and educational campaigns.
A large new report warns that the harms of alcohol greatly outweigh any potential beneficial effects. The authors of the study, which looks at data on 28 million people worldwide, determined that considering the risks, there is “no safe level of alcohol.”
Alcohol is associated with 2.8 million deathsworldwide each year, the researchers found in the study, which is published in the journal The Lancet. Over 2 percent of women and nearly 7 percent of men worldwide die from alcohol-related health problems each year.
Regular alcohol consumption can have negative impacts on the body’s organs and tissues, while binge drinking can lead to injuries or alcohol poisoning. Alcohol dependence can lead to self-harm or violence.
Let’s Get Personal, because It Is!
Over the years, Mrs. Anderson and I have lost many precious friends and neighbors to the excrement Alcohol. Our deeply Loved friend and former parent and teacher, Jason Jackson, fought on an UN-level field of battle against this powerful drug and its accomplices – ignorance, apathy and prejudice. Because of our misguided tolerance, the ready availability of alcohol contributes directly to millions of people falling victim to its overwhelming seduction and power.
Jason knew this deadly excreted chemical was more powerful than he was. We discussed this on many occasions. And as he reached out for help, I found his Spirit to be courageous. In my opinion, as a society and as members of the Family of Man, we failed our brother Jason and millions more, in not helping to provide a landscape at least partially free from such palpable and blatant temptation. There are advertisements for this CRAP (yes, it is) everywhere.
Countless times he reminded me of numerous places all along our streets and highways to purchase alcohol and advertise this liquid refuse. He told me privately that every time he passed a place where it was advertised and easily available, the indescribable and horrible compulsion of need overwhelmed him. He asked me why? Why is this product available on every street corner and in-between? Many times he asked me how he could stay away from something he was reminded of every few minutes as he traveled along on our streets and highways and even in grocery stores and gas stations.
That, my friends, is a very good question. The ready availability of this toxic, debilitating and deadly excrement is responsible for the death of this fine young man – and millions more. As citizens, we hold the powerto limit the sale, advertisement and distribution within our communities. Why are we not actively seeking to help our children, our neighbors and ourselves, in fighting to limit the sale and reduce temptation and exposure to this harmful excrement?
The Truth is sad. “We, the people” allow lobbyistsfrom the liquor industry to influence those we place in a position of Sacred Trust, those we elect to public office. We, through our blindfaith in those we elect, permit the influence of money to overwhelm our capacity for compassion and our common sense. And why do we keep electing these people? Do you think any of our elected representatives will attend the funeral of any one of the victims of alcohol abuse? We, the People, are effectively causing the MURDER of millions of beautiful people. . WHY?
How
do you $pell MONEY?
By not acting and voting in a responsible manner, we contribute to the illusion that there is no problem, while we bury our Beloved Children out of sight and in early graves, as we continue to drive by the cause of their suffering and demise. How blind are we? How insensitive have we become? How much sorrow can we endure? My, how the tears have flowed. The tears could fill an OCEAN so large and so deep that this uncaring Nation could be swallowed by it.
And it has been.
Henry David Thoreau said that most men live lives of quiet desperation. Jason lived such a life. He told me he did not own a television because he simply drank all evening until he passed out. And there are countless millionsthat live as such. Perhaps you passed by one of these precious, unloved, forgotten and uncared for people today, living under a bridge or begging on the corner of the street.
They are all over the place.
Aren’t they?
And,
do we reallycare?
With little or no hope for the future.
I ask you today to please remember Jason,
and the many, many others who have struggled against impossible odds
to free themselves from dangerous drugs such as the bacterial excrement, alcohol. . I beg of you
to please Resolve with me
that Jason and all the other countlessvictims
shall not have died in vain.
That through you,
our other sons and daughters
shall have a new birth of freedom – the freedom to live the Life that Jason
could only dream of, on so many nights,
as he wept and Prayed for help.
When you drink alcohol, it is not casual. It is not harmless.
It is serious,
especially if you consume this drug in the presence of children, and by doing so, give its consumption your stamp of approval. The reality of drinking gains a new dimension of acceptability,
without the true and hidden recognition of its seductive and highly destructive power.
The casual apathy associated with its acceptance
as a simple beverage,
forms a strong and usually unbreakable bond
of relational tolerance
that simply should not exist.
Any drug powerful enough to change the Constitution of the United States – TWICE – and destructive enough to cause tens of thousands of deaths on America’s highways and destroy millions of families and lives in associated heath disorders, is too powerful to play with. . NO. There is no such thing
as a safe level of alcohol consumption.
The idea that drinking small amounts of alcohol
will do you no harm is a myth. Click here to read more. .
Liberal guidelines may have kept some people from getting too drunk, but they failed to take into account the growing body of work linking alcohol use with such things as cancer. Click here to read more.
If you need a distraction, a beautiful release from the pain that you feel in Life, find someone like Jason and spend time with them. Offer some comfort from the overwhelming burdens they carry on their long, painful and lonely road of life. As the beautiful Folk Music of my time echoes back – “It’s a long, long journey, so stay by my side”.The only things that you truly possess are those things you give to others, for they live on in the Heart. And the most valuable thing you can give to anyone, especially those in such need, is your time. Let someone know you Love them and find some peace tonight. And please remember:
“SPENDING TIME WITH CHILDREN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SPENDING MONEY ON CHILDREN.”
–Anthony D. Williams, from: Inside the Divine Pattern
I know that few, if any, will long remember what I try to convey.
It is such a tragic realization. But please allow me to wish you strength. And I pray we will all have courage. But more than this, know that I wish you Love.
May the courage of your convictions, in some way, honor the precious memory of our beloved friend Jason. As I shared with him, when last we met, my Prayer is for you to search for the strength to always share the bountiful Love that lives in your Heart, for in the end, that is truly all
we will have left.
And privately, I have truly wondered if the volume of tears shed by all the countless millions affected by the losses we have suffered is not greater than the volume of alcohol consumed by its victims. How many Oceans of Tears?
So, What Is Alcohol?
It was bad enough when Scientific American broke the news that there are ten bacteria cells in or on the human body for each human cell. That we are out-numbered 10 to 1 in our own bodies. That there are hundreds of times more bacteria genes as Human genes living in and on us. We are made mostly of bacteria.
Yeast poop.
When you get right down to it, the pseudo happy juice that makes you pass out and makes you fat and irritable, and dying or dead,
is yeast poop.
Yeast eat sugar and drops big, steaming loads of booze wherever they go. And they pass gas a lot too. You may as well stick a straw in the septic tank. The effect will be the same! Click here for more.
It is true that alcohol is the name given to the excrement that bacteria excrete, after feeding on fruit/vegetation during so called fermentation (a fancy word for excrementation) ?
Alcohol is a toxin, and is toxic to the human body in
even moderate amounts. While we may have a few drinks and not feel anything, our body certainly takes notice of the alcohol.
The story of how alcohol came to be, … asserts gleefully that fungi in grape juice “gorge” themselves and leave their liquid excrement. That is what alcohol is.
Yeast: It Eats Sugars And Poops Alcohol. What’s Not To Like?
Yes, we have discovered that alcohol is essentially the toilet water of a fungus. Alcohol is yeast excrement. …………………………YUK!
Beer, as all alcoholic drinks, is made by fermentation caused by bacteria feeding on the yeast cells, then defecating. This bacterial excrement is called alcohol.
The term ‘toddlers’ originated in England. There were impurities in the drinking water that disallowed the water to be used for drinking. A common alternative drink was beer (it was cheep, plentiful and the water used to make it was treated during the initial boiling during brewing). Toddlers, just weaning off of mothers milk were unaccustomed to the effects of beer. This coupled with the fact that they were just learning how to walk really made them toddle.
It was the accepted practice in Babylonia 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride’s father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer, and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the “honey month” or what we know today as the “honeymoon”.
Many years ago in England, pub frequenters had a whistle baked into the rim or handle of their ceramic cups. When they needed a refill, they used the whistle to get some service. “Wet your whistle”, is the phrase inspired by this practice.
Alcohol is made from the excrement of a living yeast organism. When the yeast is fed carbs in the form of grapes, hops, potatoes, corn etc., it digests it and excretes toxic alcohol.
My Dear Friend, Reach out,
and with a Heart blistered still,
from working far too hard
with words
shaped into a shield
to protect others
like you and me.
Even with looks surreal,
doubting,
adrift,
and drowning
in the vast Sea
of never fully knowing,
that the Love of God
flows
like a Raging River
through you
and through me.
But,
let
the Love
be. Goodnight.

you are living in the present. – Lao Tzu

Honoring truly great leaders: General George S. Patton Jr.
and his son
General George Patton IV
George S. Patton was perhaps the finest general to ever lead men into battle. He was a true American Hero. And was the only Allied General feared by the Nazis in World War II.
George Smith Patton, born in 1885, was educated at the American Military Academy.
As a child he had difficulty learning to read and write, but overcame this.
Later in his adult life he became an avid reader. He was Home schooled,
like our precious children,
until the age of eleven. Then he was enrolled in Stephen Clark’s School for Boys, a private school in Pasadena. He was a highly intelligent child and widely read classical military history.
Following graduation he became
an aide-de-camp to General Pershing
in his valiant campaign against Pancho Villa. And George S. Patton was linked with daring exploits as this throughout his military career.
A highly intelligent child .
Following his promotion to Lieutenant Colonel in 1934
in Hawaii, he foresaw the possibility
of a Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor
with a remarkable degree of foresight
and sent a note about it, four years before the attack occurred.
Following the end of World War II, on December 9, 1945, General George S. Patton was severely injured in a traffic accident. He and his chief of staff were on a day trip
to hunt pheasants in the country outside Mannheim. Patton was sitting in the back seat of his 1938 Cadillac. And at 11:45 a. m., near Neckarstadt, a truck made a left turn in front of the Cadillac. Patton’s car hit the front of the truck at a low speed.
Patton’s dog Willie mourns his master. (This photo moved me to tears.)
Patton was buried at the Luxembourg American Cemetery in Hamm, Luxembourg along with others in the Third Army. His request was to be buried with his men.
On March 19, 1947, his body was moved from the original grave site to its current prominent location at the head of his former troops.
My Dear Friends,
I was privileged and Honored
to recently visit the Luxembourg American Cemetery
and the place where General Patton
was laid to rest,
along with over five thousand
of his valiant soldiers
who gave their last full measure of Devotion to you and me.
By the way,
the American Battle Monuments Commission
maintains 24 permanent American burial grounds
on foreign soil.
Presently there are 124,909 U.S. war dead
interred at these cemeteries.
The total number of Americans
who died for our freedom
in all wars,
is approximately 1,264,000
– 620,000 in the Civil War
and 644,000 in all other conflicts.
Monument in honor of General George Patton Jr.
Our freedom
is the most expensive
thing on this planet.
When you see a Veteran, thank him or her,
and do what you can
for that wonderful person.
It is difficult
for me to convey the emotion
that I felt
upon visiting the graves
of so very, very many
who lost their lives
combating evil
and tyranny.
I am in tears
as I try to express
my admiration, gratitude and Love
for these truly Brave and Beautiful People.
Military leaders like General Patton
are very few and very far between.
Please take note of the fact that
we have had military leaders at the precise time
when we needed them for conflicts,
when this country
was truly in need
in order for our country
to survive.
We have been truly Blessed
to have such great leaders
in our desperate times.
I Believe
that his precious Life
was a Gift
to our Nation
from Almighty God.
General George Patton was a man
equal to none.
“I Love this Man
and I think he was terribly under used and maligned.
We need Men like him today.
Gen. Patton was one of the best military minds ever.
May he be resting in the sweetest of
Peace and Grace.”
– Pam pamellita
I was especially moved
to visit his grave
and the George Patton Museum
after having met his son,
General George Patton IV
at Fort Hood in 1977.
As fate would have it,
I was invited by the Husband
of my wonderful school secretary
to see Fort Hood.
At the time,
I served as the Principal
of LaVega Primary School. Claudia Mitchell
mentioned to her Husband,
and member of the Army Reserve,
George Mitchell,
that I wanted to see Fort Hood.
And to my amazement,
she spoke with George
and arranged for me to accompany him
on his next trip.
The rest of the story
is like a Dream come true.
George Patton IV
Shortly after we arrived,
I noticed high in the sky
a very small helicopter
circling above us.
George and I
were visiting and looking at the landscape,
when this tiny copter suddenly
landed a few yards away.
I was startled
when a tall man
ducked down to get out
and came quickly
toward us.
He extended his hand
toward me
and introduced himself as
General George Patton!
I shook his hand
in shock and disbelief.
It was the son
of the very famous General Patton
of World War II.
He stated that he heard
I was here. (obviously, Mr. Mitchell shared information about me before we arrived)
And he wanted to meet me.
Then he said
“I have been looking
for someone like you,
to be on my personal staff.”
I then looked around
to see who he was speaking to.
I found only
George Mitchell and me.
Then he asked,
“How old are you?”
I said I am twenty seven.
The General paused,
looked me up and down,
and stated that I was one year older
than officer’s candidate school would accept.
He shook my hand again
and said that it was nice
to meet me,
and then said thank you
to George,
crawled back into his tiny craft
and disappeared.
I looked at George Mitchell
and asked
“What the Hell?”
George Mitchell just chuckled
and we both slowly
walked away,
I, in disbelief.
“Willie”
As it turns out, this General Patton
was the tenth in a family line of U.S. military men
in American History.
George Patton IV
served in Korea from 1953,
commanding “A” Company of the 140th Tank Battalion,
40th Infantry Division.
He received his first Silver Star
and the Purple Heart in Korea.
Returning to the United States in 1954,
He was assigned to West Point
but later was sent to teach at the
United States Naval Academy.
He served three tours of duty in Vietnam,
and then took command
of the 2nd Medium Tank Battalion, 81st Armored Regiment
of the 1st Armored Division at Fort Hood Texas.
During Patton’s final tour
he was awarded two Distinguished Service Crosses.
And, while in Vietnam, he frequently used helicopters as a mobile command post and was shot down three times and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
After Vietnam,
he was promoted to Brigadier General
before becoming the commanding officer
of the U.S. 2nd Armored Division, a unit his Father had commanded
in North Africa during World War II,
making this the first time in U.S. Army history
that a father and a son had both commanded the same division.
Visiting the wounded.
Like his Father,
Patton IV was a devout Episcopalian
and a believer in reincarnation.
He remembered visiting the site
of a Napoleonic battle in Regensburg, Germany,
where he was gripped by the feeling
that he had once been in combat there.
After his installation he went
to the post Chapel to meditate.
“While there,” he confessed, “I not only felt the presence of God, I also felt the presence of my Father.”
Brigadier General Patton
was Deputy Post Commander at Fort Knox during 1972.
He was known by the troops as a
“GI General,”
often appearing in the Dining Hall during meal times.
And often he would be behind the serving line.
At Fort Hood
Maj. Gen. George Smith Patton was again in charge
of the Second Armored Division.
To the division it seemed as though the two men
were one and the same,
that George Patton IV was an eerie reincarnation
of his Father, Old Blood and Guts.
Interestingly, he was also stationed near Stuttgart,
where Manfred Rommel, son of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel,
was Mayor of the city.
The sons of the two former adversaries entered into a friendship,
which continued until his death in 2004.
The men shared the same birthday, December 24.
He died from a form of Parkinson’s disease
at the age of 80 in 2004.
General Patton’s young grandson, who still is living,
makes interviews on the History Channel
and the Military Channel,
recalling his family heritage.
I, too,
have a Family Heritage
I am very proud of.
My Uncle, Eugene R. Retz,
fought in the Battle of Bulge.
He was captured by German forces
and spent over a year
as a prisoner of war.
He suffered from the experience
his entire Life
from coming close to death
by starvation. . “I recall when Gene was released from prisoner of war. I believe it was close to Christmas time and I was a young boy of about 8 years old. I had just received an electric American Flyer train for Christmas. On several occasions, Gene would come over to my home and he and I would play (to my Joy) with the electric train. At that time, I knew him only as gentle and seemingly frail.” Frank (Pinky) Swihel, Jr.

Dear Friends,
we have many other
Wars
to fight.
And in these struggles, YOUR
courage and leadership
is needed:
The use of alcohol
results in the death
of two and one half million people each year
and causes serious illness and injury
to many millions more.
Most deaths caused by alcohol results from
injuries, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and liver cirrhosis.
From our friends at Livescience.com:
Drinking alcohol in moderation is more harmful
than previously thought,
according to a new study that concludes there is no “safe” level
of alcohol consumption.
The comprehensive study,
which analyzed information from millions of people
in nearly 200 countries, found that alcohol
is tied to nearly 3 million deaths globally each year.
What’s more, any protective health effects of alcohol
were offset by the drink’s risk,
including strong links between alcohol consumption
and the risk of cancer
and injuries such as those resulting from car accidents.
[7 Ways Alcohol Affects Your Health]
“The widely held view of the health benefits of alcohol needs revising,”
the researchers wrote in their paper,
published online Aug. 23 in the journal The Lancet.
“Our results show that the safest level of drinking is NONE.” read more
People can be drawn to the sedative effects of alcohol
as a kind of medication,
helping to distract from persistent feelings of sadness.
While alcohol may temporarily relieve
some of the symptoms of depression,
it ultimately serves to worsen depression
on a long-term basis.
Alcohol is a depressant.
My Dear Friends,
allow your Love
to blossom into courage
and share your disdain
for this bacterial excrement
(Yes, that is exactly what it is).
Your children
need to know,
and they must know from
YOU,
the truth.
Stop consuming this
CRAP
(yes, it literally is),
especially in their presence.
By drinking in their presence
your are unknowingly giving
your stamp of approval.
The opinion
of a child’s Mother and Father
is more meaningful
to that child,
than any other information
they shall ever, ever
receive.
A river of NO return.
On yet another battleground,
and there are MANY:
According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,
over 44,000 people try to commit suicide
each year in the United States.
In 2015, suicide was the second leading cause of death
in people 15 to 34 years of age
and third leading cause of death
in children aged 10 to 14,
according to the CDC.
Suicide has surpassed war as the military’s leading cause of death. War was the leading cause of death in the military
nearly every year between 2004 and 2011
until suicides became the top means dying.
More U.S. soldiers killed themselves
(468) than died in combat.
Improving diagnosis
of mental health conditions can help.
Most people who commit suicide
have seen a doctor within the last year,
but many do not get diagnosed with the mental illness
that will ultimately kill them. Click here for 5 Myths About Suicide, Debunked
Wars
can never be won
in silence.
Please find the courage
to openly discuss the warning signs
and prevention.
Our very, very, fragile
and very HUMAN
brothers and sisters,
and sons and daughters,
need to hear YOU
voice your Love,
your concern,
and your compassion.
WE
have allowed our society to evolve
into an unbelievably complex and stressful MESS!
Please take three giant steps backward
in time – toward those moments
when JOYwas the order of the day.
Reflect upon those precious times
when you, and those around you,
were truly happy.
Now,
do, or do not do,
what took place,
or did not take place,
then,
in order to make you
happy.
Joy is inside.
Joy does not simply happen to us. Joy is inside
and not dependent on outside things.
In other words,
it’s a mindset.
Be Childlike.
Love every moment
for its sheer greatness.
Start paying attention to the details,
to the intricacies of life. Life will amaze you.
Start Loving yourself for who you are.
And who are
YOU?
No! You do not know.
No one knows.
ONLY
God knows.
Go to your Father
in Heaven Above
and ASK
for help.
He will not
fail you.
He LOVES you.
Relive
the precious moments
when you felt truly alive,
filled with
Joy.
ASK for help.
.Visit places
and friends and family members
associated with Happy moments.
Listen to those Songs that inspired you
and made your Heart jump for Joy.
Get in touch with old friends
who were genuine towards you.
If you truly want to be Joyful, put your mind outside of your body.
DO SOMETHING
FOR SOMEONE ELSE!
Help another living person.
Put your mind to work
on THEIR problems and difficulties. STOP thinking about
yourself.
The greatest feeling of JOY
your will ever come to know,
is when you help another
truly in need.
It is important to realize
that the mind can thinkofonly onething atatime.
And this,
My Friend,
is a GIFT.
If we put our mind to work
thinking of helping
someone other than
our self,
we simply cannot
focus upon our
worries, fears and problems.
Yes,
the inability to multi-task
(which is an illusion),
is truly a Gift. read more
So,
put this knowledge
to work.
Truly a Gift.
Take the time
to do the things
that truly
matter in Life.
NO.
You will not be as successful,
or driven
or egotistical,
or well dressed,
or deluded by the illusions of
wealth and money.
YOU
will be Happy
and alive.
Goodnight.
